1. Philly @ Washington is looking less and less safe to play…. Very risky IMO.   I have no exposure there.
2. Love Pollock leading off for Arizona, they’re my favorite team tonight.
3. Gausman my top arm overall.  But again, it’s not that there is any must own SP today.
4. Justin Upton is out.  Lovely.  Replace him with Giancarlo in the chairman spot.

Full 15 game slate but plenty of games with some rain concerns.   I think all will play but monitor these games.

• Phillies @ Nationals – Potentially the worst.

PITCHING

Guys on my radar tonight are below as there is nobody who is a #1 for me today.

• Kevin Gausman … How nice of Gausman to take a day off yesterday so I could pair him with Bundy for the THIRD time in a row.  Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
• Dylan Bundy … Bundy does very well vs Toronto.
• Brett Anderson … Rostering Brett Anderson in back to back starts is something I never anticipated doing, but it’s a good spot for him tonight.
• Vinnniiieeee Velasquez … Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand the most emotional team just punted.   CGSO incoming.  Weather Risks….
• Pablo Lopez … Faces a bad hitting offense in a hitters park.  Sign me up!  Yes, I am in full troll mode today.
• Blake Snell … The Royals cant hit in Tampa and given how well Snell has pitched this year this is a spot where we can expect him to be pretty popular and put up a really good score.  The price tag is high but with 15 games it’s easier to eat the heavy priced pitcher as there’s good low end options available.   That said, expect him to be a little limited tonight which really takes me off him on DK.  Dont mind it on FD.

Guys not on my radar tonight no matter what …

• Masahiro Tanaka … Given his history batting in the NL I expect him to get pulled too early.
• Kyle Hendricks … Talk about a JAGUAR.   Just A Guy U Aint Rostering….
• Michael Kopech … You are new here right?   We dont play pitchers making their debut especially at 7.6k.  We just dont.

 

STACKS

Here’s some stacks that leap off the page to me.  I’ll have exposure elsewhere with one offs but these are the primary building blocks for me today.

CUBS … 14 mph wind blowing out in Comerica and the Cubs get the DH so maybe, just bleeping maybe, Joe Maddon will not do something stupid in the middle of the game.  Jordan Zimmermann is ripe for the picking tonight and Rizzo-Baez-Heyward-Schwarber-Russell are the guys to target for power here.

D’BACKS … Returning home after a long road trip, the D’Backs are back in Arizona and despite the roof being closed I like their matchup with the Angels tonight.  The Angels pen is wearing down and ‘Zona is coming in playing good baseball.  Top of the order for me.

PHILLIES … Facing Tanner Roark in August in Washington.  Next question.
