As of the time I am writing this the Twins afternoon game has not started yet but we have already seen them post a lineup without my favorite play CJ Cron and then change their lineup to remove my second favorite play Max Kepler.
Just awesome. Yes, I am pissed. That does change a ton. Hopefully the rest of the squad will come through.
WEATHER
It’s fine, I’m done with the BLEEPING Weather jerks out there on Twitter.
Luis Castillo … Electric stuff but struggles with lefties on the road at times. The Padres lefties include Eric Hosmer and …. well, Eric Hosmer. I think he could strike out 13 batters tonight. I’ll pay for him over Gerrit Cole beacuse of that. He’s the lock button on FD. Castillo vs Cole for SP1.
Trevor Cahill … Finding a second pitcher on DraftKings tonight will be a challenge. There’s some upside to consider with Aaron Nola in Coors even though he hasn’t looked spot on yet to start the season, for his price at the same as Cahill he’s an obvious good play. But Cahill would be the other option to consider pairing with Castillo. Lauer is trash, Sampson I can’t trust to pitch deep enough and not the way Houston is hitting right now and all the other options are just bad. Cahill will get through 6 tonight and I love a couple bats to give him the lead and snag a W. Cahill vs Nola for SP2.
Update – Nolan Arenado is resting tonight for Colorado, giving Nola even more of a bump
That’s all I am going to look at tonight. Ryu is way too risky vs the Brewers IMO even though I expect him to beat Chase Anderson and Nola vs Cahill pivot would be your only other thing to consider in my mind.
Dodgers … Bullwinkle (Chase Anderson) is only expected to throw about three innings, but I would venture to guess he is lucky if he can make it out of the second inning. Dodgers will send 6 to the plate in the first and knock him out in the second when Corey Seager hits his second double of the game driving in 2 runs. How’s that for an exacta prediction?

Angels … Kikichuchichii’s is trash and Trout is going to have one of his signature Saturday night massive games against him today. The value with Fletcher, Simba around Trout makes for a good 1-3 play here.

Astros … They’re rolling along and seeing Sampson for a second time now will benefit them greatly. Correa and Brantley are the main targets in this lineup today for me with Gurriel right behind them at 1B.

SNEAKY & VALUE
Cincinnati Reds…. I always attack Lauer, he doesn’t get strikeouts and this lineup is loaded with righties who have good value today.
