Week 3 DFS: Quarterback Report

Week 3 DFS: Quarterback Report In four-point passing touchdown formats, Daniel Jones (34.95 fantasy points) was the best quarterback in the land in Week 2. Kirk Cousins (33.20) and Russell Wilson (31.00) were the only other two options to score
FFWC High-Stakes Recap: Week 2

Week Two, of the 2023 Fulltime Fantasy Football season, is now complete. Changes were plentiful, and drastic, across our four tournaments. Here is a look at the Top 20 Leaderboards. The FFWC High-Stakes Recap: Week 2 catches you up on the leaderboards after a wild second week. FFWC XI World Championship Tournament In the race to the $150K Grand Prize, the FFWC XI World Championship Top 20 Overall Leaderboard is populated by 14 new teams this week. We have a new overall leader as Team Just(in) Time (WC 4 SLOW) jumped from eighth to first place overall. Led by WR Keenan Allen (31.1), and WR Mike Evans (29.1), Simeon Yarbrough and Brian Marzorini had six of their 11 players post at least 20.7 Points. Their 199.85 points was good for the tenth-highest Week 2 total. Team Meyer (WC 9/9 1 PM) moved from fifth to second overall. William Meyer was led by rising star WR Nacua Puka (30.1), unheralded RB Brian Robinson (28.9), and WR Justin Jefferson (26.9). Team Meyer received double-digit scoring from all of the players in his starting lineup. Making a big jump, from 96th to third place overall, Cocktails and Dreams IV (WC 8/13 7 PM) piled up 219.85 points. With the massive total, Chad Schroeder now owns the current single-week high score. Another big mover, Team Gipson posted 207.10 points and jumped from 61st to fourth overall. Danny Gibson’s Week 2 lineup was led by QB Kirk Cousins (34.20), plus WR Keenan Allen and RB Brian Robinson. Danny has a 59.90-point lead in his WC 9/9 10 PM ET league. Rounding out the Top Five, Chad added a second team to the Top 20 Leaderboard. Cocktails and Dreams XIII (WC 8/23 10 PM ET) racked up 191.65 points. That squad was led by QB Daniel Jones (34.05), and WR Mike Evans (29.10), plus RB Christian McCaffrey (22.5), and WR Deebo Samuel (22.10). After no one reached the level last week, nine teams cracked the 200-point barrier during Week 2 action. That includes Danny Gipson, who had two of the top-five scoring squads (213.25 and 207.10) last week. Our “Shout Out of the Week” goes to Mike Foresta who posted 213.50 points and moved his The Deal No Deal Team I from 504th to 48th overall. That’s proof that every week is a new beginning in Fantasy Football. Circa Las Vegas Fantasy Championship Our inaugural Circa LVFC Tournament is a very close race after Week 2. Heading into Week 3 action, the Top 5 teams are separated by just 6.00 points. We had a lot of changes, as there are 17 new teams on the Top 20 Leaderboard. Week 2 was the Michael Schlissberg Show as he now has FIVE teams in the Top 13 overall. Mike’s Spartan Nation 2 squad (Circa LVFC 8/5 11:45 PM ET) posted 174.05 points and jumped from fourth to first overall. The best was yet to come though, as his No Yellow Stickers 1 (Circa LVFC 7/12 10 PM ET) team posted a LVFC season-high 230.90 points. That squad moved from 350th to second place. Mike followed that with a 210.30 total from his Mr. Yellow Stickers 1 (Circa LVFC 6/8 10:30 PM ET) team. That’s three different teams; all drafted in a different month, that own the Top 3 positions on the Circa LVFC Leaderboard. Team Taylor enters the Top 5 as Charlie’s Circa LVFC 6/16 10:30 PM ET squad posted 193.85 points. That moved Charlie from 46th to fourth overall. Charlie took advantage of early drafting as his team was selected during the seventh online draft this season. Rounding out the Top 5, MANKIND NATION moved from seventh to fifth place. Duke Viveros’ Circa LVFC 8/15 11:45 PM ET team posted 173.05 points. With a 180.73 two-week average, Duke sits just 6.00 points out of first overall. After just one team cracked the 200-point barrier in Week 1, 17 squads topped that plateau during Week 2. Through two weeks, 253 of our 1056 LVFC teams sit with a 2-0-0 record. There are 20 different leagues represented on the Circa LVFC Top 20 Leaderboard. Our “Shout Out of the Week” goes to Team Everything Must Go. Matthew Lyons Circa LVFC 8/4 11:45 PM ET squad racked up 227.90 points. That was the second-highest Week 2 total. Mathew moved from 825th to 25th overall. Yet another example of “it ain’t over – ‘til it’s over”. Keep Battling Everyone! Dynasty World Championship Tournament Continuing the week-over-week leaderboard shifts, across our four tournaments, there are 14 new teams on the DFWC Top 20 Leaderboard. That includes three of the Top 5 Week 1 leaders slipping out of the Top 20. Racking up the fifth-highest Week 2 DFWC total, Team Mr. Two Thirty 33 is our new DFWC overall leader. Steve Moreau’s DFWC 33 Squad posted 209.40 points and now has a 31.65-point lead. With an impressive 203.65 two-week average – Steve moved from third to first place. Moving up 24 positions, Team Ehuds Sword (DFWC 47) jumped from 26th to second overall. Brian Willey’s squad moved to 2-0-0 after posting 198.25 points in Week 2. Larry Celeste made a big move as well, as his Hangry Fatkidz squad (DFWC 63) racked up 205.30 points. That was the tenth-highest Week 2 total and moved Larry from 42nd to third place overall. Fourth and fifth place overall are now owned by Biplab Mandal. His DFWC 38 squad racked up 203.45 points and jumped from 38th to fourth place. Biplab’s DFWC 4 team posted 180.45 points and moved from 16th to fifth overall. After just two Owners had multiple Top 20 teams last week, five moved in following Week 2 action. Three leagues have two teams on the Top 20 Leaderboard. Week 1 saw just one team crack the 200 barrier, but that changed as 15 squads posted at least 200.10 points during Week 2 action. Our “Shout Out of the Week” goes to Kyle Knapp who posted a new 2023 DFWC season-high 226.00

Fantasy Football Sleepers: Week 2

Fantasy Football Sleepers: Week 2 After reinforcing your roster via the waiver wire and knowing who to start and sit, the next best way to increase your odds at a Week 2 victory is to know which players to target. Our Fantasy Football Sleepers: Week 2 is here to do just that. Plus, we’ve added some daily pricing info to appeal to also appeal to the DFS crowd. All Prices listed are at DraftKings for Week 2. Quarterbacks Baker Mayfield (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) $5200 Mayfield won over his teammates in Week 1 with his ability to read defenses and recognize signals. The Bears’ defense played uninspired in their home opener and I don’t see a defensive revival in Tampa. The loyal Bucs fans will be behind Mayfield and he’s always fueled by emotions. Brock Purdy (San Francisco 49ers) $5700 Many drafters ignored Purdy and he had an impressive Week 1 performance. The 49ers will push the ball more downfield this year and WR Brandon Aiyuk is coming into his own. I like the fast play at Sofi in this matchup and expect plenty of points. Running Backs Joshua Kelley (Los Angeles Charger) $5000 Austin Ekeler isn’t playing on Sunday. That means Joshua Kelley will get plenty of opportunities after an impressive showing in Week 1. Kelly has always had the talent and new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore will utilize his strengths. Also, this game has a ton of shootout potential. Kelley offers a very high floor for his cost. Isiah Pacheco (Kansas City Chiefs) $5700 I anticipate a high-scoring game in Jacksonville and could see Pacheco with a ton of touches. Pacheco just missed a rushing TD in Week 1 and I believe he will make up for that this week facing a vulnerable Jacksonville Jaguars defense. I’m buying Pacheco while his stock is low. Wide Receivers Trey Palmer (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) $3700 This is a gut feel call but I envision Palmer making an impact in the home opener for the Bucs. There were whispers during camp that Baker Mayfield was vibing with Palmer. The Chicago secondary was getting torched against the Packers. I expect that trend to continue in Week 2. Zay Jones (Jacksonville Jaguars) $4700 Zay Jones had an excellent camp and was oftentimes Trevor Lawrence’s most favorable target in the red zone. Jones is familiar with the playbook and Jacksonville’s play calling does an excellent job of integrating Jones into the mix as the third wideout. Also, Jones’s 62 Week 1 snaps were five more than Calvin Ridley played. Tight Ends Logan Thomas (Washington Commanders) $3100 Thomas has always been an impactful fantasy TE when healthy and that was evident against the Cardinals when Thomas led the Commanders with eight targets. With Denver’s impressive pass rush, Thomas may get many looks in what should be a gritty matchup versus the Broncos. Thomas’s 81.7% snap rate from Week 1 indicated he’ll be more involved in Week 2. Zach Ertz (Arizona Cardinals) $3500 With Josh Dobbs behind center and new to the system. Ertz serves as a nice safety valve in the matchup vs. the Giants. Ertz Week one 20.8% target rate was number one amongst all tight ends last week. Lastly, If you have time to prepare, make sure you mock in our Mock Draft World Championships. Week 2 DFS: Tight End Report

Week 2 DFS: Tight End Report The tight end position came up empty for too many fantasy teams in Week 1, highlighted by two star players (Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews) taking the week off. In addition, George Kittle (4.90
Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 2

Injuries and disappointing starts have already torpedoed some teams. After beefing up your roster with the right waiver wire adds, knowing which players to start and who to bench is crucial. Let’s get that important victory in the second week with our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 2. QUARTERBACKS Start ‘Em Anthony Richardson (Indianapolis Colts) Richardson secured the fourth-highest fantasy points during Week 1. He successfully connected on 24 of his 37 throws, accumulating 223 yards, one passing touchdown, and one interception. However, his performance as a passer didn’t earn him a high grade, lacking any significant throws, and his average target depth of 5.3 yards ranked seventh-lowest among all quarterbacks. Nonetheless, he demonstrated his ability to amass passing yards through short passes. Additionally, Richardson carried the ball 10 times, ranking second in rushing attempts among quarterbacks. Also, he gained 40 yards while reaching the end zone. This included six planned rushes for 24 yards. Notably, both he and Jalen Hurts were the sole quarterbacks to execute more than two designed runs, each resulting in over 10 rushing yards. This comes as no surprise, given that Richardson’s current head coach previously served as Hurts’ offensive coordinator. In the upcoming week, he will face off against the Houston Texans, a matchup that can certainly be exploited. Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins) Tagovailoa emerged as the highest-scoring fantasy quarterback in Week 1. He completed 28 out of 45 throws, accumulating 466 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Impressively, he received the top quarterback grade (92.1) for Week 1 according to PFF. Tagovailoa was a top-10 fantasy quarterback in the previous season, boasting a strong average in fantasy points per game. As long as he stays healthy, he remains a must-start quarterback, regardless of the opponent. In Week 2, the Dolphins are set to face the New England Patriots. The Patriots ranked in the lower half of the league in terms of conceding fantasy points to quarterbacks last season, particularly struggling in allowing passing touchdowns, ranking among the bottom five. Sit ‘Em Russell Wilson (Denver Broncos) Russell Wilson’s first game with Sean Payton didn’t go as planned. He threw for just 177 yards, salvaging the day with two touchdowns. Wilson was without top WR Jerry Jeudy, but he just looks washed up. While there’s hope for their continued development, facing the Washington Commanders’ defense presents a challenging task. It’s advisable to steer clear of Wilson this week. Running Backs Start ‘Em Jamaal Williams (New Orleans Saints) Williams failed to impress on the stat sheet against a formidable Titans run defense last week. However, his usage was noteworthy, with a 75% snap rate, a 62% route rate, 18 carries, and 2 targets. Williams appears to be a solid bet for another 20+ opportunities in Week 2, especially with the Saints favored by 3 points against the Panthers. Carolina recently allowed 177 total yards and three touchdowns to Atlanta’s running backs. Expect Williams to rebound from a sluggish start and compete for RB2 numbers on Sunday. James Cook (Buffalo Bills) Cook narrowly missed the top 24 fantasy running backs in Week 1, carrying the ball 12 times for 46 yards and catching four passes for 17 yards. Cook saw an increased role, playing a career-high 41 offensive snaps. In Week 2, the Bills will face the Las Vegas Raiders, who allowed the third-highest fantasy points to running backs last season. Despite the Raiders’ strong defensive showing last week, they still allowed 93 rushing yards on 21 attempts to opposing running backs. With the Bills expected to be heavy favorites, this sets up a favorable matchup for Coo and if the game does stay close Cook can score in the passing game. Sit ‘Em Cam Akers (Los Angeles Rams) Cam Akers had a disappointing performance, playing only 35% of the snaps and managing a mere 29 yards despite 22 carries, plus a garbage time TD. He didn’t see any targets, and Kyren Williams played a larger role, with 65% of the snaps, 15 carries, two targets, and two goal-line touchdowns. Also, the Rams face the 49ers, who have been stingy against running backs. That makes Akers a very risky choice in this tough matchup. Wide Receivers Start ‘Em Jahan Dotson (Washington Commanders) Dotson’s performance in the opener was underwhelming, as he caught five passes for 40 yards without scoring. However, he was targeted 7 times, accounting for a solid 22.6% share. While WR Terry McLaurin is likely to draw coverage from Broncos stud CB Patrick Surtain, Dotson will primarily face CB Damarri Mathis, who struggled last week, allowing eight catches, 95 yards, and two touchdowns in coverage. This is a blow-up spot for the second-year wideout. Zay Flowers (Baltimore Ravens) Flowers had an outstanding Week 1. His average target depth of 2.6 yards was the shallowest among wide receivers with five or more targets. He also excelled with 34 yards after contact and avoided four tackles, both marking the best in his position for the season. Baltimore’s utilization of Flowers suggests he has the potential for significant performances against any defense. In Week 2, the Ravens are underdogs against the Cincinnati Bengals and will likely need to pass frequently. A healthy Mark Andrews might lead to increased passing opportunities in what could be a high-scoring game. Sit ‘Em Drake London (Atlanta Falcons) It’s challenging to make a case for starting London this week, even though the Falcons may need him more in their passing game. London ran only 20 routes in Week 1 and dropped his sole target. He wasn’t a frequent first read for Desmond Ridder, who attempted just 18 passes. Also, the Falcons have a tendency to avoid throwing the ball, so it’s advisable to keep London on the bench and consider trading him. There just wasn’t much to like about Atlanta’s passing game in Week 1. Tight Ends Start ‘Em Sam LaPorta (Detroit Lions) LaPorta didn’t post massive fantasy points in his debut, but his usage was promising.
