Week 14 DFS: Tight End Report featuring Travis Kelce

Week 14 DFS: Tight End Report Last year, there were three star tight ends led by the impact game by Sam LaPorta (9/140/1). Evan Engram (9/82/1) found the endzone for the first time in 2023, while Trey McBride (8/89/1) continued his impressive ride over the past six weeks. Only three other players scored more than 15.00 fantasy points. Here are the top five tight ends by scoring average after 13 weeks: T.J. Hockenson (15.63) Travis Kelce (15.36) Sam LaPorta (14.33) George Kittle (12.81) Evan Engram (11.55) Here are the top plays this week via the Week 14 DFS: Tight End Report. Also, check out the Week 14 DFS: QB Report. Top Tier Option Travis Kelce, KC (DK – $7,800/FD – $8,000) Since his impact game (12/179/1) in Week 7, Kelce has been a losing investment in the daily games. He scored between 11.80 and 16.40 fantasy points in four of his last five starts. That included an empty showing in Week 9 (3/14) vs. the Dolphins. The Chiefs have only looked his way 25 times over his previous four games, compared to 9.7 targets per game from Week 2 and Week 8. Last year, Kelce had eight catches for 112 yards vs. the Bills. Buffalo allowed fewer than 11.00 fantasy points to tight ends in PPR formats over 10 of their 12 contests, ranking them 10th in tight end defense (54/497/3). The Patriots (6/83/1) and Bengals (10/101/2) had surprising production from their tight ends against the Bills. The only top 10 TE faced this year was Evan Engram (5/44 on 10 targets). Patrick Mahomes must get Kelce more involved if they want to make a deep playoff run in 2023. Kelce needs to score more than 30.00 fantasy points to be in play based on his salary at DraftKings. He is batting 1-for-11 this year in this area and 3-for-20 in 2022. When at his best, Kelce can score multiple touchdowns with a high floor in catches and receiving yards. Mid-Tier Options T.J. Hockenson, MIN (DK – $6,000/FD – $7,400) Over the past four games with Joshua Dobbs behind center, Hockenson has 27 catches for 308 yards and two touchdowns on 40 targets. That was highlighted by his impact game (11/134/1) in Week 10. He has a floor of seven catches in half of his 12 starts while scoring more than 20.00 fantasy points in two other contests (7/66/2 and 6/88/1). Hockenson has at least eight targets in three-fourths of his games. The Raiders are 13th in the league vs. tight ends (64/602/3 on 78 targets), with their weakness in coverage coming in three games (BUF – 8/53/1, DET – 9/62/1, and KC – 9/121). Tight ends scored at least 10.00 fantasy points in eight of 12 matchups. The return of Justin Jefferson helps the Vikings’ passing game and spacing for Hockenson. But it also adds more competition for targets. Minnesota averaged 33.8 passes over the last five games, compared to 40 over their first seven contests with Kirk Cousins starting. Hockenson works close to the line of scrimmage (9.8 yards per catch), requiring an 8/90/1 game to be in play. He appears to be overpriced in Week 14 despite offering a high floor (15.88 FPPG in DraftKings scoring). George Kittle, SF (DK – $5,900/FD – $6,600) The 49ers threw the ball exceptionally well over their last five games (1,517/12) due to gaining 20 yards or more on 30 of their 102 completions. On the downside, San Fran has the best running back in the game while ranking last in the league in pass attempts per game (28.0). Their passing game creates only 19.6 completions per week. Kittle has been quiet in his last two starts (3/19 and 4/68) after posting more than 20.00 fantasy points in his previous three games (23.90, 20.60, and 22.90). His only other playable outcome came in Week 5 (3/67/3). The 49ers gave him more than six targets in only four matchups. The Seahawks held him to 4.90 fantasy points in Week 12. Seattle is about league average in tight end defense (63/659/2 on 84 targets), with three teams (CLE – 5/83/1, BAL – 13/122, and DAL – 7/89/1) having success. The Seahawks’ defense allowed nine touchdowns and three field goals over their last 23 possessions against the 49ers and Cowboys. Each week, one of San Francisco’s top three receiver options outside of Christian McCaffrey has a chance to come in. Kittle doesn’t have a great opportunity (5.6 targets per game) compared to the top tight ends in the game, but he has scoring ability (16 over his last 27 starts) while averaging 14.7 yards per catch. He plays in the right offense, but only a coin flip to shine if the 49ers play from the lead. Low-Value Options Cole Kmet, CHI (DK – $4,300/FD – $5,600) When comparing Kmet to George Kittle, he has six more catches and the same number of touchdowns (5). Unfortunately, he only has 482 receiving yards (253 fewer – a difference of 2.10 fantasy points per game) due to gaining only 8.6 yards per catch. His opportunity (68 targets – 67 by Kittle) is almost identical, but he has a much lower salary. Kmet has two impact games (7/85/2 and 6/55/2) and two other playable outcomes (15.20 and 17.90 fantasy points) for his price point. In Week 11, the Lions held him to three catches for 20 yards on four targets while Chicago played from the lead. He played well in his home start (4/74/2) vs. Detroit in 2022. The Lions slipped to 24th defending tight ends (58/579/6 on 85 targets) after getting beat by Tayson Hill (13/59/1 rushing with two catches for 15 yards) and New Orleans (5/49/1) in Week 13. From Week 7 to Week 12, tight ends only had 16 catches for 177 yards and three touchdowns on 28 targets. The Seahawks (9/132) and Falcons (11/88) had the most success in catches and receiving yards. Kmet doesn’t have a jump-of-the-page matchup, but he is fairly
FFWC High-Stakes Recap: Week 13

Week 13 of the FullTime Fantasy Football regular season is now complete. As expected, with six NFL teams on a BYE, overall scoring dropped slightly. That said, thanks in part to the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks TNF scoring outburst, there were some big numbers posted. With just one week remaining, to secure a playoff berth, here is a look at the Top 20 Leaderboards across the four Major FFWC XI Tournaments in our FFWC High-Stakes Recap: Week 13. Fantasy Football World Championship Scoring was down during Week 13, in the race to claim the $150K FFWC XI Grand Prize, as it was just the seventh-highest-scoring week this season. The 139.10 points per team average was just a shade below the 139.59 season weekly average. Shuffling around, the top 14 positions all have a new Owner this week. Three new teams joined the FTF World Championship Top 20 Leaderboard. Completing a steady climb, from 208th overall back in Week 2, Team Honeycutt (11-2) is the new FFWC XI overall leader. With Tyreek Hill (32.3) and Alvin Kamara (28.9) leading the way, Steve Honeycutt’s squad posted 166.90 points. Steve needs a top-six finish, during All-Play in Week 14, to claim the $10K Dominator prize in the FFWC Online 8/22 league. in the FFWC Online 8/22 league. That’s an impressive run considering his league is stacked with high-stakes veterans – including three former FFWC Champs. Making a big move, team Aces in the Hole (11-2) jumped from ninth to second overall. Picking a good time to get hot, Co-Owners Joe Zielinski and Mike Schlissberg racked up 194.40 points. After posting a steady 155.57 average through the first nine weeks, Joe and Mike have averaged 189.61 points per game over the last four weeks. Led by Christian McCaffrey, Keenan Allen, and Mike Evans, Aces in the Hole will also cash a Dominator prize with a top-six finish during Week 14. Ending an impressive eleven-week run at the top, Just(in) Time (10-3) slipped from first to third place. Simeon Yarbrough and Brian Marzorini posted 131.60 points. It’s not all bad news for Just(in) Time, as they are well-positioned to claim the Most Points and Best Record positions in the FFWC 4 SLOW league. Simeon and Brian will bank $4,000 in regular season cash prizes with a top-six finish. With stars like Justin Herbert, C. McCaffrey, K. Allen, M. Evans, plus T.J. Hockenson, they have the firepower to finish strong. Moving up two positions, team My Sack Hurts (11-2) sit fourth overall. Co-owners Roy Lowery and Jeremy Kupper posted 172.70 points and moved into the Top 5 for the first time this season. Led by Jalen Hurts, Rachaad White, and Isiah Pacheco, plus 2023 Fantasy Football MVP candidate Keenan Allen, Toy and Jeremy have averaged 173.10 points over the last six weeks. Barring the worst collapse in FF history, My Sack Hurts will win the Dominator prize in the FFWC CIRCA VEGAS 9/8 2 PM PT league. Slipping two positions, from third to fifth, team Zefurs (11-2) rounds out the FFWC XI Week 13 Top 5 standings. KJ Duke’s squad scored 150.90 points and has now been a fixture in the Top for the past nine weeks. Although his Week 13 total was slightly below his season average, Zefurs is also poised to bank a Dominator prize. KJ has clinched the best record and leads the FFWC Online 9/3 9 PM ET by 146.25 points. Zefurs will head into the overall playoff race with A.J. Brown, K. Allen, and rookie TE Sam LaPorta, leading the way. Our FFWC XI “Shout Out of the Week” goes to Gary Foster who has been with FullTime Fantasy since our inception. Team Foster 1 piled up a FFWC XI Week 13 high 226.50 points. That’s the ninth-highest total this season and just slightly below the 233.25 season-high total Coyote Miscreants posted back in Week 4. Team Foster 1 jumped from 69th to 23rd overall and sits first in the FFWC Online 8/27 9 PM ET league. Congrats as well to Curtis Hirsh, as three of his Fairways and Greens teams are now in the FFWC XI Top 20. With the 14-week average score as the playoff starting point, Curtis is 4.15, 9.03, and 9.82 points out first overall. Could a FullTime Fantasy Championship Belt be heading north of the border, for the first time ever? One is close now, with the Detroit Iceholes in Michigan, but a FTF Belt has never made it to Canada. After ten teams scored at least 200 points last week, eleven squads reached that level during Week 13 action. The undefeated ranks fell from two to zero and there are just five squads with a 12-1 record. Those teams rank between 14th and 46th in the overall points race. If the playoffs started this week, just 17.89 points would separate the top 100 FFWC XI scoring teams. Circa Las Vegas Fantasy Championship Our inaugural FullTime Fantasy Circa LVFC Tournament was also affected by the six-team BYE week as the group total was the sixth lowest this season. After 155,815.80 combined points were scored last week, the total slipped to 146,002.15 points during Week 13 action. Posting totals ranging from 188.50 to 242.95 points, seven new teams entered the LVFC Top 20 Leaderboard. Running red-hot, Mr Yellow Stickers 1 (12-1) owns first overall for a fourth straight week. Mike Schlissberg’s LVFC 6/8 squad racked up 172.35 points and has averaged 198.86 points over the last four weeks. This league was our fifth, of what would end up being 88 LVFC contests. As he did in several drafts, Mike waited until Round 10 to select QB Dak Prescott (QB11 – 10.7) who is now the third-highest scoring QB. Travis Kelce (TE1 – 1.6), Keenan Allen (WR17 – 3.6), and T.J. Hockenson (TE3 – 6.7) are also leading the charge for Mike. Up one position, from second to third, The Great Gatsby 18 (12-1) posted another high-scoring week. Ray Cowart’s Circa LVFC GrindTime #3 squad piled

Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 13

Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 13 Back in August, we noticed the Week 13 bye week was rough. Now, Byemageddon has arrived and we’re scrambling to fill out lineups. Our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 13 will help you make the right decisions this week. Additionally, FullTime Fantasy has some of the top tools of the trade and accurate rankings. Quarterbacks Start ‘Em Gardner Minshew (Indianapolis Colts) vs. Tennessee Minshew has not exceeded 18.8 Fantasy points since Week 7, and in his last three games, he has fallen below the 15 Fantasy points mark. However, the outlook for him in Week 13 against Tennessee seems favorable. The Titans, on average, allow 18.1 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. In two of the last three matchups against Tennessee, quarterbacks scored at least 22.2 Fantasy points, with only the struggling Bryce Young failing to reach that threshold. Additionally, with Jonathan Taylor sidelined due to a thumb injury-and while I have a positive opinion of Zack Moss- Minshew is likely to take on a more substantial role in driving the Colts’ offense. Trusting him as a lower-tier starter across all leagues is a reasonable consideration. Russell Wilson (Denver Broncos) vs. Houston Entering Week 13 with two consecutive games below 19 fantasy points, Wilson faced challenging matchups against the Vikings and Browns. However, he has recorded multiple touchdowns in three of his last four games, coinciding with Denver’s five-game winning streak. Meanwhile, the Texans have permitted four consecutive quarterbacks to score a minimum of 23 fantasy points. Given Wilson’s recent performance and the favorable matchup, he is a viable option as a primary fantasy quarterback in all leagues. Finally, per FullTime Fantasy’s Matchup Analyzer Tool, Week 13 is the beginning of a very tempting schedule for Wilson. Sit ‘Em Kyler Murray (Arizona Cardinals) vs. Pittsburgh Murray has performed admirably in his comeback from last year’s torn ACL, with at least 22.4 Fantasy points in two of three games this season. Despite being more of a bust alert than an outright sit in Week 13, the matchup against Pittsburgh raises concerns. The Steelers have allowed only one quarterback to score more than 16.7 fantasy points since Week 4, including matchups with Lamar Jackson and Trevor Lawrence. Pittsburgh’s formidable pass rush adds an additional challenge for Murray. Considering these factors, it’s advisable to start him only in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in Week 13. Running Backs Start ‘Em Jaylen Warren (Pittsburgh Steelers) vs. Arizona Over the past four weeks, Warren has demonstrated strong performances, accumulating 48 carries for 367 yards and two touchdowns. Registering seven carries of 20-plus yards during this period, he shares the lead among running backs in this category. Warren has accrued 64 Fantasy points in this span, ranking fourth among running backs. Coexisting effectively with Najee Harris, who ranks 14th in Fantasy points over the four-week stretch, Warren benefits from the Steelers’ advantageous matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals have allowed the second-most fantasy points to running backs this season. As clear favorites at home, the Steelers provide ample opportunities for Warren and Harris to make significant contributions. Despite earlier reports suggesting increased opportunities for Warren not materializing in Week 12, there is potential for a change in the upcoming week. Devin Singletary (Houston Texans) vs. Denver Initially appearing as the lead back in Houston, Singletary’s role solidified in Week 12. With Dameon Pierce back, Singletary played 81 percent of the snaps, dominating in passing-down situations. Recording more targets than carries, Singletary’s usage is favorable for fantasy purposes. In Week 13, facing Denver, which has allowed the most rushing yards, seventh-most rushing touchdowns, and the highest fantasy points per game to running backs, Singletary is a recommended start. The Broncos also struggle against running backs in the passing game. Start Singletary and bench Pierce for this matchup. Sit ‘Em AJ Dillon (Green Bay Packers) vs. Kansas City Dillon’s status as a flex option hinges on whether he starts for the injured Aaron Jones (knee) in Week 13 against Kansas City. In Week 12 at Detroit, Dillon delivered an acceptable performance with 11.1 PPR points, handling 17 total touches, including three catches for 38 yards on three targets. However, facing the Chiefs presents a tough challenge, as they have not allowed a running back to score more than 9.9 PPR points without a touchdown this season. Dillon’s limited touchdown production (one on the year) further complicates his fantasy outlook. Keep a close eye on Jones’s status. If he sits out, Dillon could be considered a flex option in deeper leagues with a restricted ceiling. Joe Mixon (Cincinnati Bengals) vs. Jacksonville Mixon’s first game without Joe Burrow (wrist) in Week 12 against Pittsburgh resulted in a subpar performance. Recording only eight carries for 16 yards and two catches for 44 yards on two targets, Mixon posted a season-low eight PPR points. While a slight rebound is expected against the Jaguars in Week 13, concerns linger. Jacksonville has allowed only three rushing touchdowns this year, none on the ground since Week 6. With Jake Browning under center and the Bengals likely facing offensive struggles, Mixon faces a tough matchup against the Jaguars, who have been stingy against running backs. Limited touchdown opportunities make Mixon a risky flex option for Week 13. Wide Receivers Start ‘Em Rashee Rice (Kansas City Chiefs) vs. Green Bay Rice has excelled on a per-play basis this season, culminating in his first 100-yard game, where he caught eight passes for 107 yards and a touchdown. With 2.42 yards per route run, he ranks ninth among wide receivers with at least 200 pass routes. Rice’s playing time has increased, particularly with Mecole Hardman on injured reserve and Kadarius Toney missing last week due to injury. This week, he faces the Green Bay Packers, ranked as the 11th-best matchup for wide receivers according to PFF’s wide receiver/cornerback matchup chart. While the Packers have been effective in limiting wide receivers for most of the season, they have
