Fantasy Football Draft Strategy: Flex Positions In the fantasy market, there are all kinds of formats. A fantasy manager needs to start two running backs, three wide receivers, and one, possibly, two flex players in the 12-team high-stakes market. The added length to the starting lineup in the Fantasy Football World Championships (FFWC) requires drafters to be creative when building their roster. In addition, it puts a premium on depth at the wide receiver position. As we worked through the final fantasy points for the top 24 wide receivers and top 48 wide receivers over the previous four seasons, it is pretty easy to see most teams will start wide receivers at the first flex position. Here’s a look at the RB3 and WR4 scores over the last four years just for comparison for the ideal Fantasy Football Draft Strategy: Flex Positions. Recent Flex Success Last year 36 wide receivers outscored the top RB3 option (Raheem Mostert – 170.40 fantasy points). And 54 wideouts had more points than the top TE2 option (Gerald Everett – 139.50). In most PPR leagues, the best team structure is to start two running backs and four wide receivers. You can also add the occasional running back or tight end delivering enough value over the course of the season to be starter worthy at a flex position. The first flex position comes from a mixture of running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends. Each fantasy manager can find short-term options at different times of the year due to injuries. In 2022, there was an even split between running back and wide receiver as the top plays at the first flex position with a high of 170.40 fantasy points and a low of 160.50 fantasy points. The previous year, seven wide receivers, five running backs, and one tight end filled the FLEX1 bucket. Here’s a look at the drop-down if your league uses a second flex position: Adding a Second Flex Spot The goal for a drafter is to find a flex two option that will average over 10.00 fantasy points per week. Also, to attempt to have your top two running backs average close to 30 combined fantasy points per week. In 2022, the top options to start at the second flex position came from wide receivers (8) and running backs (4). When reviewing the data in this series of articles, some fantasy managers may conclude that I’m making the case to be WR-heavy in the early rounds of the draft. However, the history in the high-stakes fantasy market shows winning an overall championship requires two strong running backs plus a third serviceable option. Draft position dictates each team-building opportunity. The change in draft flow from year to year forces drafters to make different decisions. The success, strength, and depth of the running back and wide receiver positions set the foundation for game-planning the following season. In 2023 in the high-stakes market, drafters have focused on wide receivers (10) over the first 14 picks. That is partly due to some cloudiness with multiple running backs and contract uneasiness. Last year, six wideouts scored more than 300 fantasy points in PPR formats compared to only four running backs. The debate/challenge this draft season is when to build running back depth. With many wideouts coming off the board early, there will be buying opportunities in the second and third rounds. If a fantasy manager builds a wide receiver strong roster early, he or she gains strength in two areas. If their players perform up to expectations. First, the fantasy point edge at wideout creates a possibly early lead in the standings. Second, a wide receiver strong team should have fewer lineup decisions in many weeks. To finish this type of game plan, a fantasy manager then needs to hit on at least one RB2 later in the draft. By rostering multiple outs at running back, a drafter will need to negotiate the early weeks of the season until they find a secure starting option. Three-down backs with high-scoring abilities offer the most significant edge in value in the fantasy market. But there are limited options each season. Unfortunately, drafters only see four viable options this season – Christian McCaffrey, Austin Ekeler, Bijan Robinson, and Saquon Barkley. Jonathan Taylor and Josh Jacobs have drama issues, leading to them sliding in drafts until the fantasy market knows their status for 2023. If a fantasy manager decides to draft three running backs early, they need to make sure they don’t end up with three players with league-average value at running back. Their lead running back has to deliver a separator score. And their second option has to beat the second group of WR2s. The team drafting an elite wide receiver in the middle of round one will need to decide the best path to land the highest upside RB/WR combinations over the next three or so rounds. The wide receiver options in 2023 will have a wide range of values and opinions by drafters. So a fantasy manager will need to be quick in his decision-making when on the clock. The front of a draft typically has many outs on the 2/3 and 4/5 turns. Value plays a big part in team building in that area. I see a clear drop-off at running back in the middle of round four. And the wide receiver options on the 4/5 turn feel like coin tosses. This will lead to many drafters gravitating toward quarterbacks and some tight ends in the fifth round. Either way, a fantasy manager in a league with dual flex positions will be required to load up at WR. Even with receiver depth, a team can’t win a championship without building a solid base of RBs. FFWC High-Stakes Recap: Week 16
We are now just one week away from awarding the Fantasy Football World Champion. Before we see if the current leaders can hold on, the FFWC High-Stakes Recap: Week 16 looks back at the penultimate week of this wild 2022 season. FFWC World Championship Two of the three 2022 Fantasy Football World Championship playoff rounds are now complete. For a second straight week, the standings changed dramatically. We have a new overall leader and 14 new teams entered the Top 30 Leaderboard. Plus, three new teams entered the Top 5 and just 25 points separate those squads. After entering the playoffs in 81st place, then moving up to second last week, Miss New Booty (Online #21) has completed his climb to first overall. Oliver Dawoud posted 175.50 points and now leads the FFWC X race to $150,000 by a slim 4.57 points. Moving up eight spots, Zefurs (Online #23) jumped from tenth to second place. KJ Dukesherer posted 190.90 points, which was the highest WC Week 16 score. A rare feat, KJ activated a perfect lineup and his eleven starters all scored double-digit points. Climbing two spots, Coyote Miscreants (Online #26) moved from fifth to third overall and sit just 7.09 points out of first place. The Mike Santos/Kurt Kuekes squad had three players crack the 30-point barrier and finished with 175.75 points. Jumping five positions, Detroit Iceholes (Vegas LIVE #2) went from ninth to fourth place. Adam Rouls’ squad posted 175.10 points and sits 19.02 points out of the FFWC X overall lead. Making the biggest move, of the Top 10 teams, Cruze Control (Online #13) moved from 55th to fifth place. Sean Cruzen’s crew racked up 189.40 points, which was the third-highest Week 16 World Championship total. Our FFWC X Shout Out of the Week goes to Oliver Dawoud who enters the final week of the playoffs with three teams on the FFWC X Top 30 Leaderboard. PlayerProfiler Championship Similar to the WC battle, changes were plentiful in the PlayerProfiler Championship Tournament as well. We have a new overall leader, 14 new squads entered the Top 30, and three new teams entered Top-5 positions. Completing a rapid rise to the top, Bronko 2212 RvB1 (Red vs Blue #1) jumped from 13th to first overall. After scoring 195.15 points last week, and moving up from 266th, Ken Brzozowski posted 202.95 points. That was the third-highest PPC Week 16 total, and is a classic example of “it ain’t over – till it’s over”. Slipping one spot, Excellsworth 4 (PPC SLOW 8) dropped from first to second overall. Brian Ellsworth posted 164.85 points and continues to ride his dynamic Kirk Cousins/Justin Jefferson duo. They accounted for 58.45 of his total points. Brian also received 30 points from George Kittle and is just 9.84 points out of first. Retaining his position, The Godfather (PPC SLOW 1) sits third overall for a second straight week. Also led by a Cousin/Jefferson mini-stack, Tony Colavita posted 160.15 points. The Godfather now sits 20.87 points off the pace. Making a big move, High Plains Drifter (PPC 8/20) jumped from 35th to fourth place. Clint Sloan posted 190.50 points, which was the fifth-highest Week 16 PPC score. Patrick Mahomes, Justin Jefferson, and T.J. Hockenson racked up 93.2 combined points. Rounding out the top five, Riverdog 2 (PPC 8/7)) made a huge move from 89th to fifth overall. Todd Ullman racked up 207.90 points, which was the second-highest Week 15 PPC total. Familiar starters, Riverdog also rolled out Cousins, Jefferson, and Hockenson, plus a big week from Cam Akers (34.70), in his starting lineup. Our PPC Shout Out of the Week goes to Chad Cacchione. His Top Dog (PPC 9/3) team racked up 215.75 points, which was the highest PPC weekly total. Chad jumped from 195th to 12th overall. A second shout out goes to Glenn Karant who moved from 66th to sixth overall. His Snake II crew (PPC Dominator 6/29) posted 201.70 points, which was the fourth-highest Week 16 PPC total. Dynasty Football World Championship There were major changes in the Dynasty Football World Championship race as well. For the first time this season, we have a new overall leader and 13 new players entered the Top 30. There are also three new teams in the Top 5. Making a big jump, KM ENTERPRISE 21 2, moved from 18th to first overall. After scoring 200.85 points last week, Kyle Knapp’s DFWC 29 team racked up a Week 16 high 229.75 points. Kyle had two players rack up over 30 points and three players score over 20 points. Falling out of the top spot, for the first time this season, Classic Wizard slipped one spot to second place. Ben Foster’s DFWC 21 crew posted a respectable 178.50 points and sits 7.22 points out of first place. Also slipping one spot, TURD V fell from second to third overall. It wasn’t due to a lack of trying as Jon Mares’ DFWC 69 team posted 182.60 points. Jon is still well positioned to take down the $10,000 top prize, as he is just 11.51 points out of the top spot. Racking up the second-highest DFWC Week 16 total, Pimpin Aint Easy jumped from 31st to fourth overall. Led by Dak Prescott, Saquon Barkley, and Justin Jefferson, who scored 91.05 combined points, Jeff Antley’s DFWC 8 team posted 222.85 points. Jeff is just 16.72 points out of first overall. Rounding out the top five, Crown Their Ash has moved from 94th to 46th, and now fifth overall, during the past two weeks. Mark Porwit’s DFWC 3 crew posted 220.80 points, which was the fourth-highest DFWC Week 16 total. Mark is just 24.39 points out of first place. After a wild Week 15 slate of games, the leaderboard has changed dramatically. We have a new overall leader and an amazing 24 new teams have entered the Top 30 list. After entering Week 15 in 56th place, Coyote Miscreants (SLOW #2) is now the overall leader in the FFWC X race. Mike Santos and Kurt Kuekes scored big with Jalen Hurts (39.85), Zay Jones (34.9), and Justin Jefferson (30.3), and racked up 212.65 total points. That was the highest FFWC X Week 15 total. Also making a big move, team Miss New Booty (ONLINE #21) jumped from 82nd to second overall. Josh Allen (40.9), Jerick McKinnon (34.2), and Dalvin Cook (29.0) led the way for Oliver Dawoud who posted 200.90 points. That was the second-highest FFWC X Week 15 total. One of just six Top 30 survivors, Ruthless 1 (ONLINE #1) moved from 19th to third overall. Evangelos Lilas posted 191.65 points, which was the fourth-highest Week 15 total. Ruthless 1 is just 0.55 points out of second place and 14.76 points out of the overall lead. Mike Santos and Kurt Kuekes round out the top five with two additional Coyote Miscreants teams. Their ONLINE #4 team posted 191.30 points and jumped from 33rd to fourth. Their ONLINE #26 team scored 188.45 points and moved from 39th to fifth overall. Our FFWC X Shout Out of the Week goes to the Mike Santos-Kurt Kuekes combo, plus Justin Herron, who enter Week 16 with four teams on the FFWC X Top 30 Leaderboard. PlayerProfiler Championship Individual league playoffs, plus the overall championship round, are also underway in PlayerProfiler Championship Tournament. Similar to the WC battle, changes were plentiful in the PPC race as well. We have a new overall leader, and 22 new teams have entered the Top 30 Leaderboard. One of just eight Top 30 survivors, Excellsworth 4 (PPC SLOW 8) jumped to the top of the PPC leaderboard. Brian Ellsworth posted 206.20 points, the third-highest PPC Week 15 score, and moved from 17th to first overall. Racking up the second most PPC Week 15 points, Bender3 (PPC 8/7 10 PM ET) jumped from 55th to second place. Led by Josh Allen, Zay Jones, and A.J. Brown, who scored a combined 102.9 points, Ted Bender posted 209.10 points. Bender3 sits just 3.81 points out of first overall. Making a huge move, The Godfather (PPC SLOW 1) jumped from 100th to third overall. Tony Colavita racked up 209.9 points, which was the top Week 15 PPC total. The Godfather moved from 17.62 to just 6.33 points out of first place. Moving up 52 positions, Cocktails & Dreams (PPC 8/19 11:45 PM ET) jumped from 56th to fourth overall. Chad Schroeder posted 204.75 points, which was the fourth-highest Week 15 PPC total. Chad sits just 8.58 points out of the top spot. Rounding out the top five, The Champs (PPC 7/23 11 PM ET) moved from 11th to fifth overall. John Rozek had nine of his eleven players reach double-digit scoring and posted 195.70 points. Well-positioned, in a very close championship race, John is just 9.31 points out of first place. Our PPC Shout Out of the Week goes to John Rozek, who currently sits fifth and sixth in the PPC overall standings. The Champs (PPC 7/29 11 PM ET) crew posted 202.30 points, which was the fifth-highest PPC Week 15 total. That team made a massive leap from 232nd to sixth overall. Dynasty Football World Championship Dynasty Football World Championship league and overall championship races opened with high-scoring action in Week 15. There were 15 teams that posted over 200 points, plus every team in the Top 30 scored at least 180 points. The top two leaders retained their positions, and 18 new teams have entered the Top 30 Leaderboard. Continuing an impressive run, Classic Wizard is our overall leader for the 15th consecutive week. Ben Foster’s DFWC 21 team racked up 210.20 points, which tied for the fifth-highest Week 15 total. That marks the eighth time Classic Wizard has scored at least 200 points this season. Maintaining second place, TURD V posted the second-highest DFWC Week 15 score. Jon Mares’ DFWC 69 crew racked up 212.3 points and sits just 8.39 points out of first overall. Jon has posted at least 200 points five times this season. Moving up 30 spots, House Of Cards jumped from 33rd to third overall. Biplab Mandal DFWC 38 team posted 211.20 points, which was the fourth-highest total during DFWC Week 15 action. Jumping from ninth to fourth overall, Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam moved up five positions. Josef & David Stark’s DFWC 23 crew posted 201.40 points, as ten of their eleven players reached double-digit scoring. Rounding out the top five, Team Morrison slipped slightly from fourth to fifth overall. Jordon Morrison scored 196.30 points and his DFWC 17 team is just 29.20 points out of first place. Our FFWC High-Stakes Recap: Week 14 looks back on those elite teams and how they got here. These are the most prestigious and competitive leagues in the world. But, there can only be one winner. The FFWC high-stakes recap: Week 14 breaks down the field. FFWC World Championship The 2022 Fantasy Football World Championship regular season is now complete. Congratulations to the 18 teams that earned a $10,000 Dominator prize by finishing with the Best Record (no ties) plus the Most Points in their league. That includes Amy/Mark Palmer, Mike Santos/Kurt Kuekes, Gary Allen, plus Justin Herron, who all banked two Dominator prizes. Due to the Dominator victories being secured, those 18 leagues will not have a playoff round. In the other 26 FFWC X leagues, the top two teams, Best Record (most points tiebreaker) and Most Points, will square off for the league championship. Each of the league winners will collect $4,000 cash and the runner-up banks a $1,000 prize. With the dust settled, 179 of our 528 FFWC X teams have advanced to the overall championship round. The list includes 92 different players that have at least one team in the race for the $150,000 top prize. There are also six former Champions on the list – including our 2021 defending champ Abe Prowse. Chad Schroeder (Cocktails & Dreams) leads the way with ten playoff teams. Oliver Dawoud (Miss New Booty) is right behind Chad with nine squads. Chad and Oliver both have two teams on the Top 30 list. There are also 60 different players that have one team on the top 179 leaderboards. Our FFWC Shout Out of the week goes to Evangelos Lisa who enters the Championship round with FOUR teams on the Top 30 Leaderboard. Very impressive! The overall FFWC X Championship race runs from Week 15 through 17, and the 179 teams enter playoffs with their 14-week average points. That makes for a wild shootout as just 33.50 points separate the current leader and the 179th-place qualifying team. PlayerProfiler Championship Individual league, plus overall championship round positioning, is now set in the PlayerProfiler Championship Tournament as well. From the 78 PPC leagues, with a total of 936 players, 318 teams have qualified for the playoffs. In addition to battling for league prizes, those teams will also play for the $50,000 first-place prize in the overall championship round. There’s a ton of cash on the line and the playoffs run from Week 15 through Week 17. The overall race is very close as John D’Izzia (Team D) enters the championship round with a minuscule 0.67-point lead over Michael Schlissberg (Mr. Yellow Stickers). It’s a wide-open race, as just 12.02 points separate the top 30 teams. The final qualifying squad, Matthew Kelley (The Podfather) sits 41.65 points behind the leader. Of the 318 qualifying teams, there are 147 players with at least one team in the race. Jack Kohlscheen and William Meyer lead the way with ten teams each. Roc Frost is right behind them with nine teams, while Ray Cowart and Evangelos Lilas both have eight playoff squads. Another 78 players have one qualifying team each. That includes Michael Anderson and Scott Nemmers who enter the postseason in third and fourth place respectively. Michael is just 2.07 points out first, while Scott is 2.65 points off the pace. Our PPC Shout Out of the Week goes to Roc Frost as he enters the overall Championship race with three teams in the top 19. A virtual who’s who, of the Dynasty Fantasy Football community, 156 different players have advanced to the postseason. DFWC “Orphan King” Ray Flack has the most teams on the list as Ray has ten squads in contention for the $10,000 first-place prize. Not far behind, Ben Foster, Craig Jansen, and Rob, each have eight teams in the race. David Mora and Biplab Mandal both head into the playoffs with seven qualifying squads. There are also 95 players with one team in the race, and 30 of those squads are in the top 100. After completing a season-long wire-to-wire run in first place overall, Ben Foster (Classic Wizard) begins the playoffs with a 10.49-point lead. Ben is also chasing himself, as his Team Hooyah is eleventh overall and just 20.02 points off the pace. Rob Fantauzzo has four teams in the top 30 and two of those squads are in the top eight. Ray Flack is next with three teams, including his St. Louis Gunners squad, which sits fifth overall and is just 15.52 points out of first place. DFWC 31 and DFWC 51 are the only leagues that have two teams represented in the top 30 leaderboards. The top 30 list is separated by just 27.36 points and the final qualifying team is 64.23 points out of first place. It’s going to be a wild ride over the next three weeks! SuperFlex Bowl Tournament The top two scoring teams in each of the 46 FullTime Fantasy SuperFlex Bowl leagues have advanced to the championship round. Each team begins the playoff race (Weeks 15 to 17) with their average points scored during the 14-week regular season. Of the 92 playoff teams, there are 53 different players with at least one team in the hunt for the $5,000 first-place prize. Tony Colavita leads the way with five playoff teams. Billy Muzio, Frank Reynolds, Matthew Lecomte, and Jeffery Jurist, are right behind with four qualifying teams. Another

It’s hard to believe that the fantasy playoffs are here. Before we move on to that, let’s look back at how some teams got there with out FFWC High-Stakes Recap: Week 13. Let’s see how things are shaking out after 13 weeks of action. FFWC World Championship Week 13 of the Fantasy Football World Championship regular season is now complete. We are heading toward crunch time as there is just one week left in the FFWC X regular season. Scoring slipped slightly in Week 13, as five players topped 200 points (down from seven), and 24 players (down from 32) posted at least 180 points. Three new players entered the Top 20 list and we have a new overall leader. One week after being knocked off the top perch, team ZCRiley FFWC1 (10-3) has retaken the overall lead. Amy and Mark Palmer (FFWC #12) piled up 187.50 points and now lead the FFWC X Championship race by 39.85 points. Running hot, ZCRiley FFWC1 has averaged 196.21 points over the last three weeks. Slipping one spot, but remaining in the overall top-two for an eighth straight week, Cocktails & Dreams (10-3) dropped from first to second. Chad Schroeder had a down week, as he posted 137.50 points, but still leads the FFWC #3 league race by 70.10 points. Retaining third overall, Team Extreme (10-3) enjoyed another solid week. Chris Lejawa racked up 192.85 points and sits just 1.95 points out of second place. He also increased his lead in FFWC ONLINE #27 9/6 11 PM ET from 103.10 to 132.55 points. Moving up four positions Mesalex (10-3), our 2021 FFWC Champ, jumped from eighth to fourth overall. Abe Prowse scored 188.55 points and is closing in on winning a regular season Dominator prize. A top-six finish in Week 14, plus maintaining his 203.30-point lead, will earn Abe $10K in the FFWC Vegas #2 league. Rounding out the top five, ZCRiley FFWC Kickoff (11-2) slipped from fourth to fifth. Amy and Mark endured a rough week as they posted 136.50 points. The good news is, ZCRiley FFWC Kickoff needs to maintain their 63.80-point lead, plus post a Week 14 top-six finish, to win the FFWC #1 Dominator league prize. Our FFWC X Shout Out of the Week goes to Fatstacks (10-3) in FFWC #4. Frankie Taddeo racked up a WC Week 13 high 227.90 points and jumped from 37th to 9th in the overall standings. Frankie has already secured the best record in FFWC #4. He will claim the $10K Dominator league prize if he maintains his 67.35-point lead. PlayerProfiler Championship Week 13 scoring slipped slightly in the PlayerProfiler Championship Tournament as well. Eleven teams (up from 10) piled up at least 200 points, but just 40 (down from 58) posted at least 180 points. For the fourth straight week, we have a new overall leader. One new team moved into the Top 5, while just two new teams joined the Top 20 list. Completing a steady climb, after jumping from 30th to ninth back in Week 10, Team D has moved into first overall in the PPC race. John D’Izzia racked up 201.10 points, which was the ninth-highest PPC Week 13 total. Team D has now averaged an impressive 192.41 points over the last four weeks. The Deal No Deal Team 7 (11-2) retained second place for a second straight week. Michael Foresta posted 153.55 points and sits 28.05 points out of first. He also owns the best record, plus a comfortable 249.40-point lead, in the PPC 9/10 9 PM ET regular season race. Slipping two positions, TheGreatGatsby PPC 13 dropped from first to third place. Ray Cowart posted 141.15 points but won his H2H matchup and now owns a 12-1 record. Well positioned, to sweep the two regular season prizes, Ray has a 213.50 lead in the PPC 8/5 11:45 PM ET league. Jumping two positions, Mr. Yellow Stickers (12-1) moved from sixth to fourth place. Michael Schlissberg posted 174.50 points and increased his lead in PPC 8/7 10 PM ET to 199.85 points. Rounding out the top five, Team Anderson (9-4) retained fifth place for a third straight week. Michael Anderson posted 159.10 points and boosted his PPC 9/7 9 PM ET league lead from 197.75 to 239.90 points. We made it through Thanksgiving! The fantasy football postseason is now right around the corner. But before they arrive, the FFWC High-Stakes Recap: Week 12 dives deep into all the FFWC high-stakes action from last week. Let’s see how things are shaking out after 12 weeks of action. FFWC World Championship Hope everyone enjoyed a fantastic Thanksgiving Weekend. Week 12 is now complete and there are just two weeks left in the Fantasy Football World Championship regular season. It was another high-scoring week, as seven players topped 200 points (same as Week 11), and 32 players (up from 27) posted at least 180 points. With the dust settled, four new players entered the Top 20 list and we have a new leader. One week after being knocked off the top perch, Cocktails & Dreams (9-3) has retaken the overall lead. Chad Schroeder (FFWC #3) racked up 200.85 points, which was the fifth-highest Week 12 WC total. Chad now leads the FFWC X Championship race by 10.15 points. Climbing one position, ZCRiley FFWC1 (9-3) moved from third to second place overall. After piling up 222.95 points last week, Mark and Amy Palmer enjoyed another solid week as they posted 193.70 points. ZCRiley FFWC1 (FFWC #12) has averaged 196.82 points over the last three weeks. Also climbing one spot, Team Extreme (9-3) moved from fourth to third place. Chris Lejawa posted 171.20 points and increased his lead in FFWC #27 from 62.55 to 103.10 points. Brian Ellsworth posted 197.35 points, in PPC SLOW 8, and jumped from 49th to 20th overall. Week 12 is here! One of the best weeks of the season. But, before we start the turkey, our FFWC High-Stakes Recap: Week 11 dives deep into all the FFWC high-stakes action. Let’s see how things are shaking out after 11 weeks of action. FFWC World Championship With Week 11 now complete, changes were plentiful and the Fantasy Football World Championship race is now closer than it’s been all season. It was a high-scoring week, as seven players topped 200 points (up from one), and 27 players (up from ten) posted at least 180 points. With the dust settled, three new players entered the Top 20 list and we have a new leader. Making a big jump, from sixth to first, team ZCRiley FFWC Kickoff (10-1) is our new overall FFWC X leader. After sitting 61.05 points off the pace, entering Week 11 action, Amy and Mark Palmer piled up 207.45 points. That was the fourth-highest WC Week 11 total. ZCRiley FFWC Kickoff increased their lead, from 25.05 to 91.30 points, over Ruthless 1 in FFWC #1. After owning the top perch, for four consecutive weeks, Cocktails & Dreams (8-3) slipped from first into second place. Chad Schroeder (FFWC #3) posted 144.60 points, and now sits 1.80 points off the lead. Moving up eight spots, ZCRiley FFWC1 (8-3) jumped from 11th to third place overall. FFWC World Championship Following a wild Week 8 Fantasy Football World Championship scoring spree, when 77745.30 points were posted, the numbers tailed off as 68228.45 points were scored in Week 9. Just 18 teams (down from 65) cracked the 180-point barrier and just four (down from 17) posted at least 200 points. The top two leaders remained in place, and a season-low four new players entered the Top 20 Leaderboard. Cocktails & Dreams III (8-1 FFWC #3) retained first place, for a third straight week, as Chad Schroeder racked up 174.25 points. That pushed his overall lead, from 34.30 in Week 8, to 61.80 points following Week 9 action. Moving up five spots, from eighth in third place, Ruthless 1 (6-2 FFWC #1) rebounded from a rough Week 7 outing. After posting 124.50 points last week – Evangelos Lilas racked up 190.15 points this week. Slipping two spots, Miss New Booty (7-1 FFWC #8) dropped from second into fourth place. It wasn’t all bad news for Oliver Dawoud, as 147.55 points was good enough to win his Week 8 matchup. Plus, he leads his league by 96.55 points. Rounding out the Top 5, Fairways & Greens WC IV (8-0 FFWC #13) posted the third highest Week 8 total. Behind Bluffing Rivers-2 (264.65), and Staff Meeting (263.30 in FFWC #17), Curtis Hirsch moved from 39th to fifth overall after posting 225.20 points. Our FFWC X WC Shout Out of the Week goes to Curtis Hirsch who added two teams to the Top 20 Leaderboard and now has three squads on the list. Through eight weeks, just two teams, Fairways & Greens WC IV (FFWC #15) and The Godfather (FFWC SLOW #2), remain undefeated with an 8-0 record. A testament to how competitive the FFWC action has been so far this season – there are just 18 teams with a 7-1 record. PlayerProfiler Championship Highly competitive, with just 8.95 points separating the top five teams, the overall standings in the Player Profiler Championship race changed dramatically again this week. For the first time since Week 4, we have a new overall leader. Plus, five new teams joined the Top 20 Leaderboard. Steadily climbing, since entering the Top 20 in 18th place back in Week 4, Analytics Are For The Deep End (6-2-0) completed his journey to the top. From the first LIVE PPC Online Draft, of the FFWC X season, Louis Gott (PPC 6/11) posted 162.60 points and jumped from fourth into first overall. After leaping from 32nd to eighth place last week, Steel City (6-2) moved up another six spots into second overall. Brent Hoppe’s PPC 8/7 11:45 PM ET squad posted 174.15 points and is now just 3.35 points out of first. Another big mover last week, from 48th to second place, Hash Slinging Slashers (6-2), slipped from second into third overall. Scott Nemmers’ Grind Time PPC #2 squad posted 151.10 points, and is just 3.65 points out of the top spot. Moving up three spots, Mr. Yellow Stickers 3 (7-1) jumped from seventh to fourth overall. Michael Schlissberg’s PPC 8/7 10 PM ET squad posted 169.10 points and went from being 21.45 back to just 5.00 points out of first place. Rounding out the Top 5, 4 after posting 143.70 points, TD’s N Beer (7-1) fell out of first place for the first time since Week 4. It wasn’t all bad news for Kelly Wells’ crew as he won his Week 8 matchup. Plus, he is just 8.95 points out of first place, and his lead in the PPC SLOW 7 league sits at 90.00 points. Our PPC Shout Out of the Week goes to Roc Frost who joins Michael Foresta with two teams on the Top 20 list. Roc’s SEPT FOX team (PPC 9/1 7 PM ET) posted a PPC Top 20 high 208.20 points and jumped from 36th into seventh place. That squad joins FOX DOMINATOR (Dominator Show 8/18) which moved from 15th into 12th overall. Through eight weeks, there are just four teams with a perfect 8-0-0 record. There are another 35 teams that head into Week 9 with a 7-1-0 record. FFWC X Dynasty Football World Championship For the fifth week in a row, 20 different Dynasty Football World Championship 2022 leagues are represented on the Top 20 Leaderboard. Four new teams joined the Top 20 list, and 10 of the Top 20 teams posted 191.50 or more points. Continuing his DFWC 2022 dominance, Classic Wizard (7-1) retained first overall for the eighth straight week. Ben Foster’s DFWC 21 squad posted 192.10 points. And his overall lead went from 64.25 to 84.95 points. Following a rough Week 7 run, team Trailers (7-1) enjoyed a solid rebound and moved from fifth into second place. Kris Wocks’ crew racked up 210.40 points and his lead in DFWC 1 is now 157.95 points. Slipping one spot, Ben Foster’s team Hooyah posted 154.85 points and dropped from second into third place. The good news is Team Hooyah moved to 7-1 and leads DFWC 73 by 218.70 points. Also slipping one spot, team TURD V (7-1) fell from third into fourth place overall. Jon Mares’ DFWC 69 squad posted 165.00 points but has built a 216.50-point lead in DFWC 67. Rounding out the top five, Sweep The Leg 54 (7-1) jumped for 20th into fifth overall.
