Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 16

Geno Smith

The 2022 fantasy football regular season has come to a close with the playoffs in full swing. The must-win games are here. Our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 16 picks help you identify values to target and fades to avoid. It is also crucial to know which waiver wire picks to make and to stay up-to-date on the injury report. Here are our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 16 Also, as a friendly reminder, there are 11 NFL games this Saturday.  Editor’s note: This article is written by Bradley Stalder.  QUARTERBACKS  Start ‘Em Geno Smith (Seattle Seahawks) That is, you are starting Pro Bowl QB, Geno Smith. Smith is currently the QB8 on the season in fantasy points per game, has thrown for 26 TDs in only 14 games, and has eight top-12 performances. The Chiefs give up the 4th most fantasy points to opposing QBs on the season and the game total between the Seahawks and Chiefs is at 49, among the highest of the week. In a potential shootout where Seattle is a 10-point dog, expect Geno Smith to have a bounce-back performance after a dismal Week 15 against the 49ers. Daniel Jones (New York Giants) The Giants and Vikings game is worth targeting in a week where there are few game-totals over 45 points. Earlier this season, Jones torched the secondary of the Detroit Lions for a season-high 341 passing yards (425 air yards) and 50 rushing yards. He’s faced difficult secondaries ever since. Now he gets Minnesota, who allows the 2nd most passing yards to QBs and 2nd most receiving yards to WRs on the season. And while Minnesota stifles running backs, they give up an additional 3.42 fantasy points per game for rushing QBs, the 7th highest rate in the league. Jones is 5th among QBs in rushing yards and has 5 rush TDs on the season. Put Jones on your streaming radar in Week 16. Sit ‘Em Deshaun Watson (Cleveland Browns) Watson has finished no better than the QB14 in his three starts thus far. He’s been held under 14 fantasy points and under 165 passing yards in two of his three games. Amari Cooper, the Browns leading WR, is still dealing with a hip injury.  While Watson’s had 6 rush attempts in each game it’s been hard for him to find running room. The Saints, on the other hand, only give up 15.6 fantasy points per game. Fantasy managers should avoid pass-catchers in this Saints-Browns game as the game total is a meager 32.5 and there is the expectation of weather significant enough to affect the game. It would be unsurprising to see 70+ rush attempts in this game.  Derek Carr (Las Vegas Raiders) Carr has struggled with accuracy this season. He ranks QB25 or worse in the following efficiency categories: Accuracy Rating, True Completion Percentage, Deep Ball Completion Percentage, Red Zone Accuracy, Clean Pocket Accuracy, Completion Percentage vs. Man Coverage, Completion Percentage vs. Zone Coverage, and Pressured Completion Percentage. With poor accuracy and wide receivers who cannot separate, that can pose a problem for Carr as he’s only finished as a top-8 QB once on the season– displaying a lack of upside. The Steelers are favored at home on Christmas Eve for what projects to be 18 team points for the Raiders. The Steelers have allowed the 2nd fewest passing yards to opposing QBs over the last 3 weeks. It’s not the cake-walk matchup fantasy managers might think.  RUNNING BACKS Start ‘Em Raheem Mostert (Miami Dolphins) Even if Jeff Wilson is back to being active for the Dolphins, start Mostert with confidence. He’s coming off a 17-136 performance against Buffalo. Now he gets Green Bay, with whom he has a tantalizing history. Back in 2020’s NFC Championship game, Mostert torched the Packers with a 29-220-4 rushing line. The Packers are among the most generous fantasy matchup for RBs, having allowed 196 rushing yards per game over the last three weeks– the most in the NFL.  Jerick McKinnon (Kansas City Chiefs) McKinnon, the RB1 overall in both Weeks 14 and 15, should be in the league-winner conversation. He’s averaged nearly 14 touches and over 100 total yards over the last 3 weeks. Seattle is a plus matchup, as the Seahawks allow the 2nd most fantasy points on the season and 3rd most rushing yards over the last three weeks to running backs. Fantasy managers shouldn’t fade Isiah Pacheco either, but McKinnon is the preferred back in the Chiefs backfield. Sit ‘Em D’Onta Foreman (Carolina Panthers) Fantasy managers were on tilt after Foreman gave a 10-9 performance in Week 15 against Pittsburgh. What’s more concerning is that Foreman saw his snap share drop to 30% and Chuba Hubbard’s exceed 50%. The Detroit matchup isn’t an easy one either. The Lions allow the fewest rushing yards to RBs over the last three weeks and give up the 7th fewest fantasy points to RBs on the season.  Zack Moss (Indianapolis Colts) The hype about Zack Moss seems unwarranted. Yes, Moss did garner 24 carries and 8 RedZone carries in the Week 15 game against Minnesota. But he only rushed for 81 yards and didn’t fall into the EndZone. On 8 Red Zone carries. Moss is averaging 1.1 yards per carry in the RedZone this season. His volume was a coaching decision to try (but was not successful) to salt away a 33-0 lead. Deon Jackson is a better pass-catcher and should be the preferred back in Indy moving forward. WIDE RECEIVERS Start ‘Em Garrett Wilson (New York Jets) Wilson is matchup-proof and quarterback-proof as much as a rookie can be. Wilson has finished as WR29 or better in six of his last seven games and with 95+ receiving yards in three of his last four. Even with Zach Wilson, arguably the worst-graded and efficiency-rated starting quarterback in the NFL, Garrett Wilson went 4-98 on 9 targets. The Jaguars give up the 2nd most receiving TDs and the 8th most fantasy points to

Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 15

Tua Tagovailoa

The 2022 fantasy football regular season has come to a close with the playoffs looming. The must-win games are here. Our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 15 picks help you identify values to target and fades to avoid. It is also crucial to know which waiver wire pick to make and to stay up-to-date on the injury report. Here are our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 15. Also, as a friendly reminder, there are 3 NFL games this Saturday.  Editor’s note: This article is written by Bradley Stalder.  QUARTERBACKS  Start ‘Em Ryan Tannehill (Tennessee Titans) Tannehill’s a matchup-dependent start, as he’s finished as a top-12 QB against the Giants, Raiders, Packers, Broncos, and Jaguars defenses. And this week is an underrated matchup. The LA Chargers give up about 17 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks and will be looking to push the ball down the field against the Tennessee secondary which gives up the most WR fantasy points on the season. The projected game total for Sunday’s matchup is a respectable 47 points. While Derrick Henry should be able to move the ball well against the porous Chargers’ run defense, this will also put the Titans into scoring position. Tannehill is on the streaming radar for the first week of the fantasy playoffs, especially with many other fringe QB1s with tougher matchups this week.  Matt Ryan (Indianapolis Colts) Start your quarterbacks against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings have been the 6th best Pass DVOA matchup on the year and allow the 6th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Jared Goff just finished as the QB4 overall and threw for 330 yards, 3 TDs, and 0 INTs. The Colts- Vikings matchup is the 2nd highest projected game total on the week, and Matt Ryan has two top-5 finishes on the season Sit ‘Em Geno Smith (Seattle Seahawks) Geno has been absolutely sensational this season. But if there was a matchup to bench him, it’s against the 49ers. The first meeting between Smith and San Francisco did not end well. Smith didn’t throw a TD, and only earned 7 fantasy points, finishing as the QB30 on the week. San Francisco has continued to torch opposing QBs. On the season, the 49ers have allowed the 5th fewest fantasy points to QBs and have the 5th toughest pass DVOA. Even Tom Brady was only able to muster 12 fantasy points against SF in Week 14, throwing 1 TD and 2 INTs, finishing as the QB18 (there were only 26 starting QBs).  Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins) It’s clear that Tua isn’t right out there. Whether teams are adjusting to coaching schemes or the lingering effects of the sprained ankle from a few weeks ago, Tagovailoa has finished as the QB17 or worse each of the last three weeks. Jaylen Waddle is still dealing with a leg injury and Tyreek Hill picked up a pesky ankle injury in Week 14’s matchup. Buffalo only allows 13.4 fantasy points to opposing QBs on the season, and this week’s matchup only has a projected O/U of 42 points– with the Bills 7.5 home favorites. RUNNING BACKS Start ‘Em Isiah Pacheco (Kansas City Chiefs) Yes, backfield mate Jerick McKinnon finished as the RB1 overall in Week 14 (to the chagrin of many managers who benched him), but Pacheco has been consistently solid over the past 4 weeks. Pacheco finished no worse than the RB21 during that span. In fact, Pacheco’s targets have increased each of the last three weeks– a clear sign that the coaches trust his role. The most obvious part of this matchup is that the Houston Texans allow the most rushing yards to RBs on the season, and Pacheco has led the Chiefs in rushing yards each of the last five weeks.  JK Dobbins (Baltimore Ravens) Dobbins showed exactly what we wanted to see from him– vision and burst down the field. While he received criticism for finishing his long 50-yard run on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dobbins still showed he has breakaway speed. He finished 15-120-1 in his return from the knee injury. In Week 15, he faces a Browns defense that allows the 3rd most fantasy points to running backs on the season and has been the 3rd most favorable run defense, per Football Outsiders DVOA metric. Confidently fire up JK Dobbins as an RB2. Sit ‘Em Kenneth Walker/ Travis Homer/ DeeJay Dallas (Seattle Seahawks) This situation is probably worse than last week when fantasy managers knew in advance that Kenneth Walker would most likely sit due to his injury. Fast forward to Week 15, and Walker got in a limited practice on Monday and is trending toward playing Thursday night’s game against the 49ers. And, while San Francisco’s defense has been tough against opposing quarterbacks, they’ve been even stingier against running backs. The 49ers give up the fewest fantasy points, have a defensive line projected advantage of 56% over Seattle’s offensive line, and are Football Outsiders’ 2nd toughest Rush Defense, per their DVOA metric. It’s even worse if Walker can’t go or is limited. You should have a low level of confidence starting a Seattle Seahawks backfield in Week 15. Raheem Mostert (Miami Dolphins) We haven’t seen Mostert carry the ball more than 11 times since Week 8 against Detroit. Even then, he went 14-64 on the ground and finished as the RB36. Although Jeff Wilson is trending to miss Week 15, Mostert is a risky start. The Buffalo Bills give up the 10th fewest fantasy points to running backs, rank as the 3rd toughest rush DVOA matchup, and are projected by PFF to have a 53% advantage over the ailing Miami offensive line. WIDE RECEIVERS Start ‘Em Chris Olave (New Orleans Saints) Olave’s been on a bit of a cold streak as he headed into his bye week. He’s finished as the WR39 or worse in 3 of his last 4 games. Despite that, the impressive rookie is still WR6 in air yards, WR5 in air yards share,

The 2022 fantasy football regular season is close to the end with the playoffs looming. The must-win games are here. Our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 14 picks help you identify values to target and fades to avoid. It is also crucial to know which waiver wire pick to make and to stay up-to-date on the injury report. Here are our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 14 picks. Editor’s note: This article is written by Bradley Stalder.  QUARTERBACKS  Start ‘Em Jared Goff (Detroit Lions) – Streaming your QBs against the Vikings is an underrated take. The Vikings allow the most receiving yards to WRs on the season, and Mike White finished as the QB7 last week. That was without a passing TD along with 2 interceptions. Surprisingly, the 5-7 Lions are favored against the 10-2 Vikings in Detroit this weekend. Goff is also coming off a QB4 finish where he threw for 340 yards and 2 TDs to Amon-Ra St. Brown.  Derek Carr (Las Vegas Raiders)- If you’ve got Carr, he’s a must-start Thursday night against the Rams who might be playing Baker Mayfield. Carr has finished as QB13 or better in four of his last five games. In each of those five games, Carr has thrown for at least 248 yards and 2 TDs. The Rams may be without Aaron Donald, and the Raiders are projected to have a 41% Pass Block advantage, per PFF. This game could get out of control and with the Raiders desperate for an emphatic win, Carr is poised to smash. Sit ‘Em Daniel Jones (New York Giants) – We’ve seen some scary floors for Daniel Jones this season: four weekly finishes of QB20 or worse aren’t encouraging. Outside of the Detroit Lions game, Jones hasn’t thrown for more than 228 passing yards in any game this year and hasn’t cracked more than 200 pass yards in eight of twelve games. The Eagles allow the fewest fantasy points to QBs on the season and whose defensive line is projected to have a 25% Pass Block advantage, per PFF, over the Giants offensive line. Tom Brady (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) – Brady didn’t pass the eye test for the majority of the night against the Saints on Monday Night. It took him 54 pass attempts to get to the QB8 finish overall and still didn’t get 300 yards passing. Brady’s finished as a top-10 weekly QB only three times in 12 games, and the matchup against the 49ers isn’t promising. The 49ers give up the 5th fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks and whose defensive line is projected to have a 25% Pass Block advantage over the Buc’s OL. In what projects to be the lowest game total O/U on the week, Brady’s ceiling is severely limited. RUNNING BACKS Start ‘Em Ezekiel Elliott (Dallas Cowboys) – It’s not just that Ezekiel Elliott and the Cowboys get the Houston Texans this week. Though, that is a major factor. It’s that Zeke has finished as the RB13 or better in six of the last eight games. The Cowboys are 17-point favorites at home against a Houston club that just allowed 3 DS/T TDs to the Cleveland Browns. It’ll be a blood bath and Zeke will get 15 carries along with goal-line work in this matchup. Latavius Murray (Denver Broncos) – On a week with bad matchups and six teams on a bye week, Murray should project as a comfortable volume-based RB2. He’s handled 47 carries over the last three weeks, finishing on average as the RB24 during that span. The Broncos may be 9.5 underdogs at home this week, but the Chiefs allow the most receptions per game to the RB position and Murray has four receptions in two of the last three weeks. He may not win the week, but he won’t lose the week either. Sit ‘Em Jamaal Williams (Detroit Lions) – Williams has made his living off of TDs this season. But the rushing inefficiency has come against even the most generous rush defenses. Williams has averaged fewer than 4.0 yards per carry every game since Week 9. And in Week 14, he faces the Minnesota Vikings who give up 3.89 yards per carry to opposing running backs. Williams played the fewest snaps of the season in Week 13 and has decreased his snap share each of the last 3 weeks as D’Andre Swift has ascended. Play Williams at your own risk.  Dameon Pierce (Houston Texans) – We’ve seen Pierce game-scripted out of games before, and this matchup against Dallas doesn’t look good for the rookie. In a two-game stretch before his Week 13 matchup against the porous Browns defense, Pierce combined for 16 rush yards on 15 carries and zero TDs. In those contests, Pierce averaged out as the RB50. Fifty. The Cowboys are 17-point favorites at home, and while Pierce may get some sprinkling in the passing game, his floor is far too risky to play him. WIDE RECEIVERS Start ‘Em Zay Jones (Jacksonville Jaguars) – Call it unlucky, but the sure-handed Jones only caught 2-of-7 targets in the game against Detroit. But, he gets another shot at it and fantasy managers shouldn’t be left on tilt. The Titans give up the most TDs to opposing WRs and allow the most points to opposing wide receivers. Especially with how stifling the Tennessee run defense has been as of late, passes may be funneled Jones’ way. D.J. Chark (Detroit Lions) – Chark has made his way back from an injury that cost him six games. Over his last two contests, Chark has either a TD or 98 yards receiving. In a game against the ever-porous Minnesota secondary that could turn into a divisional shootout in Detroit’s Ford Field, Chark is an interesting play. I’m not concerned about Jameson Williams just yet. Williams will have to take all of Kalif Raymond & Josh Reynolds’ snaps before we worry about his impact on Chark. Rondale Moore (Arizona Cardinals) – Moore may have left

Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 13

Trevor Lawrence Jacksonville Jaguars

The 2022 fantasy football regular season is close to the end with the playoffs looming. The must-win games are here. Our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 13 picks help you identify values to target and fades to avoid. It is also crucial to know which waiver wire pick to make and to stay up-to-date on the injury report. Here are our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 13 picks. Editor’s note: This article is the FullTime Fantasy debut for Bradley Stalder.  QUARTERBACKS  Start ‘Em Trevor Lawrence (Jacksonville Jaguars) Coming off a top-5 QB finish, Lawrence squares off against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field Week 13. The game total is projected over 50 points– indicating shootout potential. The Lions give up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks on the season. The difference in points between what the Lions have allowed (23.9) and the 2nd most points allowed team, the Miami Dolphins, is also the same difference between the Dolphins and the 15th most points allowed team, the Washington Commanders.  Mike White (New York Jets) Speaking of a plus matchup in a dome, White squares off against the Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis. The Vikings allow the most passing yards to quarterbacks on the season despite allowing the 7th most pass attempts. White finished as the QB6 overall in Week 12 with 3 TDs and 0 INTs against an ailing Chicago defense in the rain. Even in his small samples, White has shown off a fantasy ceiling. Sit ‘Em Deshaun Watson (Cleveland Browns) Watson last played in an NFL game on January 3rd, 2021. That’s 700 days in-between game action. While he may be facing off against his former team, the Houston Texans, this is not the easiest matchup in Houston. The Texans allow the 4th fewest fantasy points to QBs on the season, mostly because game scripts get out of hand and opposing running backs dominate.  Matt Ryan (Indianapolis Colts) While Ryan may have two top-5 finishes over his last five games, he’s also finished as QB20 or worse in the other three matchups. The matchup against Dallas in Arlington doesn’t get any easier. The Dallas defensive line has a projected 25% advantage over Indianapolis’ offensive line per PFF. The Cowboys also convert sacks at the 6th highest rate and force the 3rd most fumbles among team defenses, which is not a good formula for the pocket-passing QB. RUNNING BACKS Start ‘Em Cordarrelle Patterson  (Atlanta Falcons) Patterson has admittedly been hard to pin down. He’s finished as a top-18 RB twice since returning from injury but also finished outside RB30 twice. Both of those ceiling games came at home. In fact, Patterson has averaged 15 fantasy points per game at home this year. The Atlanta OL projects a 28% run-blocking advantage over Pittsburgh, per PFF. Patterson is a start this week safely within the confines of a dome. Travis Etienne (Jacksonville Jaguars) Etienne may have left the matchup against the Ravens due to a foot injury, but was cleared to return. Weather played a factor in this game as it was delayed nearly a half hour. But fear no more, Etienne plays in Detroit against the Lions, who are one of four teams to give up over 100 rushing yards and at least one rushing TD per game to running backs. Etienne’s had a streak of 5 straight games with 100+ total yards and this Week 13 matchup should prove to be another week of fantasy goodness. Sit ‘Em Michael Carter / Zonovan Knight (New York Jets) Michael Carter is still day-to-day with an ankle injury. Even if he plays, he’s a risk for re-injury. That would leave Bam Knight as the primary running back for the Jets. Knight played admirably in relief in Week 12 but this is a tough matchup against the Vikings. Minnesota is projected to have a 48% defensive line run-blocking advantage over the Jets. The Vikings also give up less than 80 rushing yards to opposing running backs on the season on only 3.78 yards per carry, so there may not be a lot of room to run regardless of who leads the Jets backfield in touches. Alvin Kamara (New Orleans Saints) Fantasy managers can find better streaming options than firing up Kamara this week. He’s not been an RB1 this season and has finished RB10 or better on a week only three times in 10 games. In fact, in three of Kamara’s last four games, he’s finished as RB23 or worse. Also, Kamara logged fewer than 10 carries in those three games. Tampa Bay gives up the fewest targets, fewest receiving yards, and 3rd fewest fantasy points to running backs on the season. Tampa’s defensive line is projected to have a 32% run block advantage over New Orleans per PFF, which sets up for a Kamara bust game. WIDE RECEIVERS Start ‘Em George Pickens (Pittsburgh Steelers) Pickens pops off the game film as a game-breaker and gotta-get-it WR. After he was eased into the starting lineup for the first two weeks, Pickens has finished as a top-24 WR five times. He gets the Atlanta Falcons this week which gives up the fifth most fantasy points to WRs. With Diontae Johnson projected to line up the majority of snaps against shut-down corner A.J., Terrell, Pickens should find room for Kenny Pickett.  Joshua Palmer (LA Chargers) Keenan Allen may have returned, but Josh Palmer is still putting up notable usage in the absence of Mike Williams. Palmer’s last two contests’ average with Allen in the lineup: 6.5 receptions, 7.5 targets, 81 receiving yards, and a TD. Williams is a projected game-time decision, but if he’s out Josh Palmer projects to play outside more with DeAndre Carter manning the slot. The game total is projected over 50, and Vegas is not a tough matchup.  Randall Cobb (Green Bay Packers) In his last three healthy games, Cobb has either 73+ receiving yards or a TD. With Rodgers dealing with multiple injuries but expected to go

Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 12

It’s officially week 12, and we have our entire arsenal of players to choose from with no teams on a bye. Playoffs are just around the corner, and start-sits are even more important as every point matters. This week’s Fantasy Football Start ‘EM Sit’ Em Week 12 article will help you make the best decisions for your fantasy football lineups. Happy Thanksgiving and Black Friday, friends! And don’t miss out on the FullTime Fantasy Cyber Monday deal. You’ll get immediate access to all kinds of fantasy goodness. Plus, exclusive AWARD-WINNING RAKINGS from yours truly and my podcast co-host, Jody Smith. QUARTERBACKS  Start ‘Em Taylor Heinicke– Washington Commanders – The last two weeks were ugly for Heinicke, but he played against Philly & Houston, who are both top 3 vs. the QB position. Before that, he had 3 top 15 finishes against GB, Indy & Minn. This week, he gets ATL, the 9th worst vs. QB, allowing 18.86 fantasy pts per game to opposing QBs.  Matt Ryan – Indianapolis Colts – Matt Ryan has been Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in 2022. He has two top 5 finishes this season, two bottom-five finishes, and everything in between. His impressive starts have been at home and/or vs. soft defenses. The good news is that he gets both of those in week 12 as he faces off against the Steelers at home. The Steelers are giving up 19.65 fantasy points per game to opposing QBs on the season, the 4th most in the league. So if you are looking for a streaming option in week 12, look no further than Matt Ryan. Sit ‘Em Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers- Despite a lackluster 2023, Rodgers is still QB 11 for the year. He’s QB6 in passing yards, QB4 in passing TDs with 19, and QB5 in pass attempts. However, in week 12, he faces off against the Philadelphia Eagles, who are the #1 ranked defense vs. the quarterback position on the year, only allowing 9.34 fantasy points per game to the position. I expect Rodgers to score more than 9.34; I do not have him in my top 15 this week. I’d look elsewhere for a starting QB this week. Jacoby Brissett – Cleveland Browns – Jacoby Brissett is the QB13 since week 9. He has finished QB10, QB18, and QB4 during that span. However, in Week 12 he faces off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who are the 13th-best defense vs. opposing quarterbacks on the year, allowing 15.72 fantasy points per game. Expect them to pressure Brissett struggles mightily vs pressure. Brissett has a 34.6% completion percentage under pressure which is QB28, he has a 5.3 accuracy rating under pressure which is QB30 and he is QB19 in pressured catchable balls. RUNNING BACKS Start ‘Em Kyren Williams – Los Angeles Rams – The Rams cut ties with Darrell Henderson this week, paving the way for Cam Akers and Kyren Williams to be the one-two punch in LA. Kyren is the preferred passing down back. He saw 7.4% of targets out of the backfield in Week 11 vs. Akers’s 2.7% and 8.1% in week ten vs. Akers’ 0%. Kyren has also out-snapped Akers 51-35 over the last two weeks. In a game where inexperienced Bryce Perkins is at the helm, without Cooper Kupp, with a questionable Higbee and questionable Robinson, we can expect more passing work for the running backs and for them to lean on the position to move the ball.    Rachaad White – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – White saw his first 100-yard game last week when he carried the ball 22 times for 105 yards in the win over the Seattle Seahawks after Leonard Fournette sustained a hip injury. . Weeks 1-3 Fournette averaged 84% of snaps while White averaged 16.6%. In Weeks 4-6, Fournette snaps dropped to 61% while White saw 33.16%. That trend continued in weeks 7-10. Fournette saw 56% snaps and White saw 43.05%. Fournette is now listed as doubtful for Week 12. White now gets the backfield to himself in a plus matchup vs. a bottom-5 run defense that gives up 29.92 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs, 2nd most in the league and only behind the Houston Texans.  Sit ‘Em D’Onta Foreman – Carolina Panthers- Last week foreman saw his lowest-snap count of the year since taking over the starting role in week seven after the CMC trade. Since week 7, he has averaged 51.7% snaps. In week 11, he only saw 38.6%. Chuba Hubbard seemed healthy, seeing 40.4%, and Blackshear saw 19.3%. It’s clear that Blackshear and Hubbard are the favorites for passing downs; combined, they saw 19.4% target share in week 11, while foreman saw 3.7%. Foreman is an RB 3 and game script dependent.  Samaje Perine – Cincinnati Bengals– In Mixon’s absence, Samaje Perine had a big day with three receiving touchdowns. However, this is a tough matchup for Cincy’s backs as they face the Tennessee Titans, who have been good at restricting RBs this season. The Titans are the 3rd ranked run defense and number two EPA run defense. With no teams on a bye in week 12, you most likely have better options at RB and the flex.  WIDE RECEIVERS Start ‘Em Joshua Palmer – Los Angeles Chargers – Josh Palmer saw 92.3% snaps last week after Mike Williams reaggravated his ankle injury. He has averaged ten targets a week since week 6. He has two 100-yard games and a pair of scores in that span. This week he should draw coverage from Marco Wilson, the 43rd-ranked CB, in a shootout match that has the 2nd highest over-under of the week with 47.5 points. Parris Campbell – Indianapolis Colts – Campbell has been sneak good lately. He is the WR20 over the last three weeks with 14 catches on 20 targets, totaling 158 yards and one score. This week he squares off vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are giving up 42.68 fantasy points to the WR position per week, which ranks last in the NFL. The Steelers have

Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 11

Kadarius Toney

Week 11 is here, and these fantasy football streets are getting tough!  Our week 11 Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit Em is designed to help guide you to make the best decisions to benefit your fantasy rosters, especially during difficult times. This week we have the Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers all on a bye. That will certainly add to the importance of the fantasy football start ’em sit ’em Week 11.  QUARTERBACKS  Start ‘Em Daniel Jones – New York Giants Daniel Jones faces off against the Detroit Lions in week 11. The Lions have allowed the most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. They have permitted quarterbacks to throw for 2395 yards and 15 touchdowns while also allowing 372 rushing yards and four more scores. Jones has the 4th-most rushing yards of all QBs with 387, only behind Justin Fields, Lamar Jackson, and Josh Allen.   Jimmy Garoppolo – San Francisco 49’ers Jimmy Garoppolo and the 49ers square off vs. the Arizona Cardinals. Overall, Arizona allows the fifth-most points in football. The Cardinals, in particular, give up the 5th-most to opposing quarterbacks, who are averaging 19.01 fantasy points per game. In 10 weeks, Arizona has given up 2571 passing yards, seven scores through the air, 213 quarterback rushing yards, and three more touchdowns. Garoppolo enters week 11 with the 9th-most quarterback rushing touchdowns and the 3rd-highest yards per attempt.   Sit ‘Em Taylor Heinicke– Washington Commanders Taylor Heinicke and the Commanders are coming off an unbelievable upset vs. the Philadelphia Eagles in week ten. Still, they head to Houston for another tough defensive matchup. The Texans have been sneaky good on defense, giving up the 5th -fewest points to opposing quarterbacks and allowing the 2nd-fewest passing touchdowns all year. Opposing quarterbacks have only averaged 12.88 fantasy points a game vs. the Texans. Matt Ryan – Indianapolis Colts Ryan regained the starting role in Week 10 but has a brutal matchup vs. Philadelphia this week. The Eagles are the most formidable defense vs. opposing quarterbacks in the NFL, giving up an average of 9.42 fantasy points per game. The ever-tough tandem of James Bradbury and Darius Slay will make it extremely difficult for Michael Pittman or Alec Pierce to get anything done. The Eagles are allowing the fewest yards per play in the NFL with 4.6 and have given up the 3rd-fewest total yards all season. RUNNING BACKS Start ‘Em Antonio Gibson – Washington Commanders Antonio Gibson has a juicy matchup in week 11 against the Texans. Houston ranks dead last in the league against running backs. The Texans have been gashed on the ground, giving up 5.2 yards per attempt, 1407 rushing yards, and allowing 13 scores. They have also allowed another 276 receiving yards and one more score to the running back position. With J.D. McKissic slated to miss another contest, we can expect Gibson’s increased snap count to continue and the Commanders to pound the run. David Montgomery – Chicago Bears The Bears lost Khalil Herbert to the injured reserve last week due to a hip injury. No one stands to benefit from this unfortunate injury more than David Montgomery. Herbert was 11th in the league in rushing and had been playing roughly 30% of the snaps every week. The injury frees up significant snap share for Montgomery, who was already playing around 70% of snaps. Also, the Bears face off against the Detroit Lions, who give up the 8th-most yards per attempt (4.8) to running backs. Additionally, they have given up the 9th-most fantasy points to opposing running backs on the year.  Sit ‘Em Tony Pollard – Dallas Cowboys Pollard has shined in the absence of Ezekiel Elliot, finishing as the running back #4 in PPR leagues in Week 8 and the running back #8 in PPR leagues in Week 10. However, there is optimism that Elliot will play this week, relegating Pollard back to backup duties. In addition, the Vikings have given up the 6th-fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs and have been incredibly stingy vs. pass-catching backs. Minnesota has not surrendered a single receiving touchdown to the position all season. D’Andre Swift – Detroit Lions Swift has been a headache for fantasy managers. He is arguably one of the best pass-catching backs in the NFL. But Swift hasn’t been healthy enough to get on the field. He went to the IR in week 4, came back in week 8, and played 55% of the snaps. Then, in Week 9, Swift’s snap share dropped to 16.1%, and he was out-snapped by Jamaal Williams, who took on 61.3% of the snaps, and Justin Jackson, who saw 21%. That trend continued in week 10. Williams saw 40.3% of the snaps, Swift saw 30.6%, and Justin Jackson saw 27.4%. It’s clear that Swift is not 100%. Additionally, the Lions face the New York Giants. The latter is giving up the 8th fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs and has given up the 5th fewest touchdowns to the position on the year. WIDE RECEIVERS Start ‘Em Darnell Mooney – Chicago Bears The Bears have finally figured it out. Darnell Mooney has played 86% of snaps in back-to-back weeks and has seen the 10th-highest target share in the league at 28%. This week, he faces off against the Atlanta Falcons, who are the worst-ranked against the wide receiver position. Also, Atlanta is allowing 2011 receiving yards and 12 scores through 10 weeks. Fields has been hot, and this offense should cook vs. Atlanta. Kadarius Toney – Kansas City Chiefs Toney made his Kansas City debut last week, catching four of five targets for 57 yards and a touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Chiefs just placed Mecole Hardman on IR, and Juju Smith-Schuster is expected to miss the game with a concussion. Thus, opening up plenty of more opportunities for the human joystick-Toney. Toney led all wide receivers in juke rate in 2021 at 66.7% and has the skills necessary to be a difference-maker

Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 10

Justin Fields

The fantasy football playoffs are just around the corner. With injuries and byes, fantasy managers have to make tough decisions. Our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit Em Week 10 will help guide you to make the best decisions to benefit your fantasy rosters and walk away with a win. QUARTERBACKS  Start ‘Em Justin Fields (Chicago Bears) Chicago has finally figured out how to use Justin Fields. Over weeks 5-9, Fields is the QB1 in fantasy football, averaging 25.91 fantasy points per game. He has 851 passing yards during that stretch, eight touchdowns, and two interceptions. He has also rushed for 455 rushing yards and three more scores. In week 10, he faces off against the Detroit Lions, who have given up the 3rd most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks who average 20.95 fantasy points a game vs. them. Fields checks in as my QB4 in the preliminary rankings. Russell Wilson (Denver Broncos) Russell Wilson hasn’t been the quarterback we hoped for when we selected him in fantasy drafts. Year to date, he is QB21, ECR, he is QB17, but this week he checks into my top 13 as he faces off against the Titans, who give up the 7th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. The Titans also give up the 3rd most to opposing WRs and the 3rd most to opposing tight ends. There is a trend here; the titans have a terrible secondary. Denver is also coming off a bye week where they have had a little more time to get it together. It’s been clear Wilson has gained rapport with rookie tight end Greg Dulcich and WR Jerry Jeudy. I expect Russell Wilson to far exceed expectations in week 10. Sit ‘Em Geno Smith (Seattle Seahawks) Geno has far exceeded expectations and is one of the front runners in a wide variety of NFL honors, comeback player of the year, and MVP. He is the QB9 in fantasy points per game but faces off a pretty tough Buccaneers defense who have allowed the 3rd lowest yards per attempt and the 4th fewest success per dropback in the league. Derek Carr (Los Vegas Raiders) Derek Carr hasn’t produced up to this point despite the raiders landing Davante Adams in the offseason. Currently QB21 in fantasy points per game, Carr has been pretty pedestrian across the board. 16th in passing yards, 18th in yards per attempt, 32nd in true completion percentage, 28th in accuracy and 24th in pressured completion percentage. He faces off against the Colts, a top 13 team vs. opposing quarterbacks, who have allowed the 3rd-fewest passing yards per game and the 11th fewest touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks. RUNNING BACKS Start ‘Em Jeff Wilson (Miami Dolphins) Wilson joined the Miami Dolphins last week and immediately supplanted Raheem Mostert for lead-back duties. He out-snapped Mostert 49.1% to 47.4% while he was the clear favorite in passing situations. Wilson has familiarity with this McDaniel’s offense from their time spent together in San Francisco; he faces off against the Browns, who are the 5th-worst vs. the RB position. Cleveland has allowed 820 yards on the ground, 255 yards in the air, and 12 total touchdowns to opposing running backs. Travis Etienne (Jacksonville Jaguars) You don’t need me to tell you Travis Etienne is good at football. Since week 7, he has been the RB3 in PPR leagues, averaging 23.6 fantasy points per game. He is 5th in the league in the league in breakaway rate at 9.2%, 3rd in the league in breakaway runs, 5th in the league in yards per touch, 3rd in the league in yards per reception, and 5th in the league in red zone touches. ETN enters the Start ‘Em section as a top 5 running back in week 10. There aren’t very many names I’d consider above him. Sit ‘Em James Conner (Arizona Cardinals) Conner returned to action in Week 9, playing 71% of snaps with seven rushing attempts, 45 rushing yards, with five receptions for 19 yards. Conner gets the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10. LA has given up the 3rd fewest points to opposing running backs. Through 9 weeks, they have only given up 617 yards and three touchdowns. Najee Harris (Pittsburgh Steelers) Najee was one of the fades to start the season, and boy, have I been right. Currently the RB28 in fantasy points per game, Najee has been abysmal despite seeing 67.3% of the snaps. He is presently RB30 in rushing yards with 361, RB34 in receiving yards with 112, RB27 in TDs with 3, and RB61 in fantasy points per opportunity at 0.64. Additionally, beat writers expect Jaylen Warren to take more snaps in week ten as they face off against the New Orleans Saints. As a result, I wouldn’t trust Najee in lineups this week. WIDE RECEIVERS Start ‘Em Allen Lazard (Green Bay Packers) People need to start respecting Allen Lazard. Currently, the WR19 in PPR leagues Weeks 2-9 despite missing Week 8. He’s 5th in the league in deep targets, 11th in the league in red zone targets, 8th in the league in touchdowns, 20th in air yards, 14th in ADOT, and 14th in fantasy points per game. Romeo Doubs is out with an ankle injury, Christian Watson can’t seem to stay on the field, and the tight end play has been inconsistent at best. Expect Rodgers to lean on Lazard like he has all season. Chris Olave (New Orleans Saints) In the conversation for Rookie of The Year, Chris Olave is quietly the WR16 in fantasy points per game. In Week 10, he faces off against the Steelers, who are dead last in the league against the wide receiver position. However, through the first eight weeks of football, the Steelers have allowed 1703 receiving yards and ten touchdowns- the most in the league. Olave played 90% of snaps in week 9; he has the 10th most targets in the league with 72, the 15th most target share with 27%, he is 2nd in air yards

Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 9

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers

The 2022 fantasy football season is now halfway complete. The must-win territory is approaching. Our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 9 picks help you identify values to target and fades to avoid. It is also crucial to know which waiver wire pick to make and to stay up-to-date on the injury report. Here are our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 9 picks. QUARTERBACKS  Start ‘Em Trevor Lawrence (Jacksonville Jaguars) After a solid start to the season, Lawrence has been bad the past five weeks. However, he’s had a tough schedule facing teams like the Eagles, Broncos, Colts, and Giants. That’s a brutal run. The only seemingly positive matchup was against the Texans and they are third-toughest against fantasy quarterbacks. This week he should bounce back against the Raiders, who are allowing the second-most fantasy points to QBs.  Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) Speaking of quarterbacks who have been bad, Rodgers has been a disaster this season. He would have to have a tremendous matchup for us to recommend you start him and this week is just that against the Lions. They are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks and were absolutely torched by Tua Tagovailoa last week. Tua is of course a much better option than Rodgers, but Rodgers is more than capable of giving you low-end QB1 numbers this week against the Lions.  Sit ‘Em Jared Goff (Detroit Lions) Goff is coming off a great game against Miami, nevertheless, don’t fall into that trap this week. This week the Lions are playing the Packers who are allowing the second-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks. Goff has shown this year that he is a matchup-based option with a wide range of outcomes. This is a bad matchup that could be a disaster game for your fantasy team if you start him.  Tom Brady (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) It’s tough to trust Brady right now. He may get back on track, but you need to see it before you throw him back in your starting lineup. He takes on the Rams this week who are allowing the seventh-fewest fantasy points to QBs. This isn’t the game to roll the dice and hope for a bounce back.  RUNNING BACKS Start ‘Em Tyler Allgeier (Atlanta Falcons) Cordarelle Patterson could return this week. Even if he does, Allgeier should still be a strong start. The Falcons play the Chargers this week who have allowed the second-most fantasy points to running backs this season. In just seven games they’ve given up 897 yards and seven TDs on the ground alone. It would be a surprise if he doesn’t push 100 yards and find the end zone this week.  A.J. Dillon (Green Bay Packers) As bad as the Lions are at stopping the pass, they are somehow even worse against the run. Dillon has been a massive disappointment this season. But he should get it going this week. Dillon is still averaging over 10 carries and three targets per game. That is more than enough to have a fantasy-viable day against Detroit. This should be his best game of the season as he should top 70 yards and have a shot to find the end zone for the first time since Week 1. Sit ‘Em Michael Carter (New York Jets) The first week without Breece Hall did not go well for New York. Carter managed just 26 yards on the ground, and James Robinson will probably be more involved this week. Carter did manage 35 scoreless yards through the air as well. Granted, it was a tough matchup in a game they were trailing against the Patriots. Things won’t be any easier this week against the Bills who will likely blow the Jets out and are allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to running backs this season. Also, no team has allowed fewer rushing yards.  Clyde Edwards-Helaire (Kansas City Chiefs) This is a combination of a lack of opportunity and a terrible matchup. Fantasy owners have to get past CEH’s outstanding September because he certainly has. It’s been four weeks since he’s topped 35 total yards or hit double-digit carries. Now he’s been demoted to the RB2 on the depth chart and he’s taking on the Titans who have allowed the fewest fantasy points to running backs this season.  WIDE RECEIVERS Start ‘Em Joshua Palmer (Las Angeles Chargers) With Mike Williams sidelined and Keenan Allen’s health a question mark this week, Palmer needs to be in your starting lineup. There is a real chance he serves as the WR1 if Allen is still less than 100 percent. Beyond opportunity, the matchup is fantastic as well. The Falcons are allowing the second-most fantasy points to wideouts this season. They’ve allowed the most yards to the position. Also, their 12 TDs allowed are second only to Pittsburgh’s 13.  Devin Duvernay (Baltimore Ravens) Duvernay finds himself with a ton of opportunity as well coming off a big game last Thursday night. Rashod Bateman will be sidelined for a while and Mark Andrews could be out as well. Duvernay is a good start with just Bateman out and a great start without Andrews as well. Last week he caught four passes for 31 yards and rushed for 33 yards and a TD. This week he draws the Saints who are allowing the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing wideouts.  Mecole Hardman (Kansas City Chiefs) It was tough deciding whether or not Hardman should be a start or sleeper this week, but here he is. He’s quietly been very good for Kansas City this season outside of two dud games. He’s seen at least four targets in three straight games and all three games reached 70 yards or scored a TD. This feels gross and there is a risk here, but the numbers don’t lie. Especially against a Titans team that is allowing the fourth most fantasy points to wide receivers this season.  Sit ‘Em Jakobi Meyers (New England Patriots) It’s going to be another Rhamondre Stevenson game for

Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 8

irv-smith-vikings

We are nearing the halfway point of the 2022 campaign. That makes these crucial mid-season games ‘ must-win’ territory for contenders. Our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 8 picks help you identify values to target and fades to avoid. It is also crucial to know which waiver wire pick to make and to stay up-to-date on the injury report. Here are our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 8 picks. QUARTERBACKS  Start ‘Em Daniel Jones (New York Giants) Jones is coming off a monster game last week in which he threw for over 200 yards and a touchdown and rushed for over 100 yards and a TD. This week he takes on the Seahawks who have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Not only that, but they’ve also allowed the sixth-most rushing yards to quarterbacks this season. This matchup lines up perfectly for Jones and he appears to be getting more comfortable in the Giants’ new system every week. Jared Goff (Detroit Lions) The Dolphins’ secondary is ravaged by injuries and they are already allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to QBs. Goff should also be getting Amon-Ra St. Brown and D’Andre Swift back which should help him immensely. The biggest factor is the Dolphins’ secondary though. Their second-string through sixth-string quarterbacks are out injured as is their starting safety, Brandon Jones. They can’t stop any passing attack right now. Sit ‘Em Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) We shouldn’t have to put Rodgers in here again, but people seem to still be stuck on his name. He’s still being ranked as a top-15 guy and there is no excuse for that this week. He will be without his top receiver Allen Lazard and is going up against the best defense in football. He should be nowhere near a starting lineup this week. Geno Smith (Seattle Seahawks) Smith may be the biggest surprise of the year. He’s far exceeded expectations. However, this is a tough matchup against the Giants this week, especially without D.K. Metcalf who is out with a knee injury. The Giants are allowing the 13th-fewest fantasy points to the QB. Over the past two weeks, the Giants’ defense has allowed one total passing TD against Lamar Jackson and Trevor Lawrence. RUNNING BACKS Start ‘Em D’Onta Foreman (Carolina Panthers) You don’t have to start either Panthers’ running back this week. However, if you’re going to Foreman is the guy to plug in. Last week, Foreman out-carried Chuba Hubbard 15-9, nonetheless, those numbers may be a bit skewed because Hubbard left early. He left early because of an ankle injury that could slow him down this week, which is a reason to go with Foreman. The biggest reason is that Foreman is so clearly better when you watch both of them. He will emerge as the RB1 soon. Tyler Allgeier (Atlanta Falcons) Allgeier is beginning to look the part of an NFL RB1. Last week, he out-snapped Caleb Huntley 29 to 11 and out-carried him 16 to six, rushed for 50 yards, and found the end zone. The numbers aren’t amazing, but he looks more comfortable out there and is getting the goal-line work now. He also has a great matchup against Carolina who are giving up the eighth-most fantasy points to running backs. Sit ‘Em Aaron Jones (Green Bay Packers) There isn’t a Packer who should be started this week. The Bills are the most dominant defense in the NFL and are allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points to running backs. Don’t be distracted by a strong fantasy week for Jones. He has been slumping for weeks and this offense is going to struggle mightily this week. Editor’s note: Obviously this depends on your ability to field a complete lineup during a bye week. Make sure to ask your questions in our Discord this week and we’ll help you decide whether you can sit the great Aaron Jones in this brutal matchup. Gus Edwards (Baltimore Ravens) There is going to be a lot of hype surrounding Edwards this week coming off a two-TD season debut. However, while he should be on your roster he shouldn’t be in your lineup. Beyond a tough matchup against the Bucs, a lot of the numbers weren’t great for Edwards last week. He only played 23 total snaps (36%). He was also in a favorable game script where the Ravens could run the ball 44 times and he didn’t catch a pass. WIDE RECEIVERS Start ‘Em Brandin Cooks (Houston Texans) Cooks has a great matchup this week against the Titans who are allowing the second-most fantasy points to wideouts. The Texans WR2 Nico Collins is also dealing with a groin injury so he could miss this game or be limited. This could open more targets in this great matchup. Wan’Dale Robinson (New York Giants) With Jones comes his WR1 Robinson, who is clearly a talented rookie and a potential PPR machine. Last week he led all Giants with eight targets. His role and his production will get greater each week. He’s an excellent weekly flex option in all PPR leagues. D.J. Moore (Carolina Panthers) With Robbie Anderson and Christian McCaffrey shipped out of Carolina last week, Moore had his best game of the season. He saw double-digit targets for just the second time this season and caught seven passes for 69 yards and a TD. All of which were season highs. Falcons top corner A.J. Terrell is also injured and expected to miss this one making Moore’s day much easier. Sit ‘Em Jakobi Meyers (New England Patriots) Meyers will likely be lined up against Sauce Gardner this week (Jets rank 13th most difficult against WR1s for the season) and the Patriots don’t even know who their quarterback will be. I know who it won’t be, anyone good enough to make me start Meyers against Sauce. Courtland Sutton (Denver Broncos) If Sutton thought he had it bad with Russell Wilson this season things got a lot worse last week. Not only is
