Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 18

Zack Moss Colts

The final week of the NFL season is turbulent and difficult to project. That’s why the vast majority of fantasy leagues have already concluded. Still, a few savages keep the fun going all the way to the bitter end. If that’s you, our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 18 can help navigate the madness. With only two of the 14 postseason berths up for grabs, plenty of teams have little to play for in Week 18. That’s what makes this slate so difficult to project. Backups, snap counts, and conservative play-calling are just some of the factors that can wreak havoc on fantasy lineups. However, the point of this great hobby is having fun. So, if you’re still playing this week, here are some Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 18 players to consider. FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget Zack Moss (RB) Indianapolis Colts – Moss has taken over as the Colts’ main running back. This week, the Colts conclude a disappointing 2022 campaign at home against Houston’s league-worst run defense. If Moss is somehow available, he offers RB1 upside in Week 18. Tyquan Thornton (WR) New England – Thornton has surpassed an 88% snap rate in New England’s last four contests. Sunday, Thornton saw a season-high 7 targets and secured his second TD grab. New England will be going all out to win in Week 18, so Thornton should once again get plenty of opportunities. Matt Breida (RB) New York Giants – The Giants are locked into a playoff spot and have little at stake this week. There is a very good chance Brian Daboll rests his starters. That would put Breida in a good position to rack up plenty of touches. Alexander Mattison (RB) Minnesota Vikings – It’s also possible the Vikings rest starters. If Dalvin Cook sits, Mattison will be a hot commodity. Mattison has thrived in a featured role and the Vikings are essentially locked into a home playoff game next week. Rashid Shaheed (WR) New Orleans Saints – Shaheed has been the Saints’ top wideout for a month. Last week’s career-high 6 targets led to 79 yards. Shaheed has now topped 50 yards in 5-of-6 games. Up next, the Saints host a Carolina defense that has allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing wideouts. Greg Dortch (WR) Arizona Cardinals – Dortch has surpassed double-digit targets in three consecutive games. In Week 18, the Cardinals are big underdogs to San Francisco. That should be another recipe for plenty of passing and targets for Dortch. Joshua Kelley (RB) Los Angeles Chargers – Like the Giants, Los Angeles is already in the postseason tournament. That could lead to more opportunities for Kelley out of the backfield. Kelley has been quite effective all season. If it were announced that Austin Ekeler was to sit Week 18, Kelley would offer solid RB2 potential. Robert Woods (WR) Tennessee Titans – This is a de facto playoff game for the Titans. Woods led Tennessee in targets (9), and snaps (48) last Thursday. Jacksonville has also allowed the 13th most fantasy points to wide receivers. That puts Woods on the FLEX radar this week. Royce Freeman (RB) Houston Texans – Freeman again led Houston’s backfield in snaps (30.) However, Freeman hasn’t been particularly effective, averaging under 3 yards per carry in back-to-back tilts. That said, Freeman looks like a good bet for double-digit touches in a meaningless game in Indy. Colby Parkinson (TE) Seattle Seahawks – Stepping in for Will Dissly, Parkinson led Seattle’s right ends with an impressive 81% snap rate last week. Also, Parkinson hauled in 5-of-7 targets for 36 yards and a score. The Seahawks still have a shot at the playoffs and wrap up the regular season at home against the Rams. Corey Clement (RB) Arizona Cardinals – If James Conner (shin) misses Week 18, Clement will step in to take the majority of snaps for Arizona. However, Arizona does travel to San Francisco, so it’s a tough match. Still, opportunity is the name of the game. Chase Edmonds (RB) Denver Broncos – With Marlon Mack (hamstring) out, Edmonds logged a season-best 59% snap share versus the Chiefs. Edmonds also turned 10 touches into 73 yards. This is the second game in a row that Edmonds has surpassed 50 scrimmage yards since returning from IR. A meaningless finale against the Chargers could lead to another solid outing for Edmonds. DeeJay Dallas (RB) Seattle Seahawks – A week after accumulating 8 touches, Dallas played 38% of Seattle’s snaps. Dallas also turned 10 touches in 98 yards of offense in a must-win game. If that formula continues, Dallas offers RB3/4 values against a Rams’ defense that is ailing. Tyler Conklin (TE) New York Jets – The return of Mike White at QB paid immediate dividends for Conklin. This week, Conklin and the Jets conclude the season against a Miami defense that has yielded the third most fantasy points to tight ends. Jarrett Stidham (QB) Las Vegas Raiders – Stidham’s dismantling of the NFL’s top defense was one of the most surprising results from a wild Week 17. The 2019 fourth-rounder threw for 365 yards and three scores in the loss. He also tossed a pair of picks but far exceeded expectations. This week, Stidham gets a Kansas City defense that’s allowed the third-most fantasy points to QBs. Josh Dobbs (QB) Tennessee Titans – After his sold showing on Thursday, Dobbs was named Tennessee’s starter for the all-important finale. The winner of this game will host a playoff game next week so expect both squads to go all out. Sam Darnold (QB) Carolina Panthers – Over the past three weeks, Darnold has posted QB1 numbers. During the stretch, Darnold has produced four touchdowns and no interceptions. He’ll be on the streaming radar this week in New Orleans. Indianapolis Colts (DST) – The Texans haven’t totaled 300 yards of offense in three weeks or surpassed 215 passing yards since Week 10. Indianapolis should be able to end the Jeff Saturday experiment with a home win, making the Colts a stolid streaming option. Also, check out our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds Week 17 or more

Of course, there is added pressure this week. However, by in large, you don’t want to overanalyze things. Especially at this point. Stick with the guys who got you here. Use the fantasy football waiver wire Week 17 as a guide to boost your bench or if you need a last-minute injury replacement.

There are no Saturday games this week. There would be no better way to ring in the new year than with one final victory. Good luck to all!

FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget

Tyler Allgier (RB) Atlanta Falcons – Allgeier is almost certainly rostered in your league, but if you’re in an ESPN league that’s been asleep at the wheel, the rookie back could still be on the wire. With back-to-back RB1 performances, Allgeier should be the priority add in any league that he can still be added for free.

Jahan Dotson (WR) Washington Commanders – Dotson has been one of the hottest receivers in football since Week 13. The first-round rookie has scored in three straight games. Plus, he’s averaing eight targets, 78.3 yards, and 18.8 PPR points per game during the stretch. Additionally…

At this point, FAAB no longer applies. Waivers are strictly a do-or-die proposition. Let’s look at the free agents you should target ahead of Week 16.

Note: 11 NFL games are scheduled on Saturday in Week 16. Only 3 games take place on Sunday.

FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget

Zack Moss (RB) Indianapolis Colts – After Jonathan Taylor exited Week 15’s loss with an ankle injury, Moss racked up 24 carries. Taylor is expected to miss the rest of the season. That puts Moss in line to lead a committee backfield. However, Moss only averaged 3.4 yards per tote and received a single target. Moss is definitely worth an add but expectations should be tempered.

Juwan Johnson (TE) New Orleans Saints – After a 2-week absence (one was a bye) Johnson housed two more touchdowns and hauled in 4-of-6 targets for 67 yards on Sunday. Johnson now ranks second among all NFL tight ends with seven TDs. He also enters Week 16 as…

If you’re reading a waiver wire piece in Week 15 that means you made the playoffs. Congratulations on overcoming the turbulent 2022 season. Our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 15 can help you reinforce your roster for the postseason tournament.

FAAB recommendations are trickier at this point when every game is do-or-die. So, let’s concentrate more on viable players in good positions to produce in Week 15. And as a reminder, there are 3 NFL games this Saturday.

FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget

D.J. Chark (WR) Detroit Lions (15% FAAB) – Chark was mentioned as a pick-up last week and more than delivered. One week after a very good 5/98/0 line against Jacksonville, Chark had his best fantasy outing of the season versus Minnesota. Chark led the Lions in catches and yards and ran a route on every one of his 37 snaps. Also, Chark is clearly healthy and playing lights out at the right time. If the fifth-year player is still available in your league, he’s a must-add for the playoff run. Nice call, Billy!
,br>

Jerick McKinnon (RB) Kansas City Chiefs (12% FAAB) – McKinnon’s usage has been hard to predict from week to week. However, he has played a consistent role as the preferred pass-catching back. McKinnon is coming off his best fantasy outing of the season, turning 13 touches into 134 yards and two TDs. This week, Kansas City travels to Houston to take on the league’s worst run defense. With 8-12 touches versus the Texans…

For many fantasy football managers, the playoffs have arrived. Congratulations on making it this far! Our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 14 will help you re-enforce your roster for these must-win games.

Complicating matters this week is that six teams are on bye. The free-agent stakes have never been higher. Here are the top fantasy-relevant, low-rostered Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 14 free agents to target with FAAB recommendations.

Week 14 byes: Atlanta, Green Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Washington

FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget

Zonovan Knight (RB) New York Jets (15% FAAB) – Although Michael Carter‘s inevitable return could complicate things, Zonovan Knight has earned a significant role in New York’s backfield. Knight has topped 100 scrimmage yards in back-to-back games. Also, the undrafted rookie is averaging a robust 5.97 yards per touch. Regardless of Carter’s status, Knight is the best bet to lead New York’s backfield down the stretch. And that makes the unheralded first-year back a waiver wire priority.

James Cook (RB) Buffalo Bills (10% FAAB) – Cook broke out last Thursday, logging a 41% snap share and turning 20 touches into 105 scrimmage yards. Those touches included a career-high 6 receptions. That’s an area that Cook excels and the Bills don’t seem too enamored with Devin Singletary. Also, the Bills rank 8th in rushing and Cook should have plenty of opportunities to produce down the stretch. Plus, Buffalo has a very favorable playoff (Weeks 15-16) schedule for running backs per FullTime Fantasy’s Strength of Schedule Tool.

James Cooks could thrive with a top-10 RB schedule in Weeks 15-16.

Week 13 byes: Arizona, Carolina

FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget

Gus Edwards (RB) Baltimore Ravens (20% FAAB) – Returning to the lineup, Edwards played double the snaps of Kenyan Drake and dwarfed all other Baltimore backs in touches. In 36 snaps, Edwards logged 16 carries, one target, and got the Ravens’ touchdown plunge. Although he won’t catch many balls and will lose some TD runs to Lamar Jackson, Edwards is the clear starter. At least he is until J.K. Dobbins (12% FAAB) returns. Rostered in just 40% of ESPN leagues, Edwards should be the top waiver priority for playoff contenders.

Treylon Burks (WR) Tennessee Titans (10%) – Rostered in under 40% of ESPN leagues, Burks should be the top priority for WR-needy fantasy rosters. On Sunday, Burks caught four balls for 70 yards and housed his first career TD. Granted, it was a fumble recovery, but Burks has made an impact in consecutive weeks. Moving forward, Burks should be considered a weekly WR3 with WR2 upside. The first rounder is worth a sizable FAAB bid.

We’ve reached Week 12. The playoffs are getting close and Thursday includes a day filled with food, friends, and football. A great way to kick off this wonderful holiday week is by boosting your roster via the Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 12.

Here are the top fantasy-relevant, low-rostered Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 12 free agents to target with FAAB recommendations.

Week 12 byes: NONE

FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget

Latavius Murray (RB) Denver Broncos (33% FAAB) – What has been a difficult Denver backfield to decode just got much clearer. The struggling Broncos waived Melvin Gordon and Chase Edmonds could miss the rest of the fantasy season. That makes Murray, who just got 21 touches, Denver’s workhorse moving forward. Although the Denver offense leaves a lot to be desired, Murray has looked solid while sharing time. Also, according to FullTime’s Strength of Schedule Tool, the Broncos have a top-10 easiest remaining schedule for running backs.

Samaje Perine (RB) Cincinnati Bengals (20% FAAB) – Placing a strong bid on Perine is a risk/reward venture. First, he’s been productive when given opportunities, especially in Week 11. Secondly, Joe Mixon exited Sunday’s game and is in concussion protocol. However, if Mixon is cleared to return this week, Perine would defer back to his usual 5-7 touch role. But, if Mixon remains out, Perine offers solid weekly RB2 value, Thus, until word drops, Perine is worth a healthy bid to acquire.

Week 10 was filled with huge performances and great games. There were also impactful injuries and some depth chart changes. FullTime’s Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 11 will guide you through the fallout as we prepare for the playoffs.

Here are the top fantasy-relevant, low-rostered Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 11 free agents to target with FAAB recommendations.

Rachaad White (RB) Tampa Bay (35% FAAB) – Although Tampa won’t be in action in Week 11, White is still worth a substantial bid. The rookie back had his coming out party in Week 10. However, White’s stock has been on the rise for some time. Last week, White logged a season-high 64% snap rate and had his first 100-yard outing. Leonard Fournette (hip) isn’t expected to miss time. But, White has looked like the better player for some time and may very well have situated himself to be Tampa’s main back down the stretch.

Christian Watson (WR) Green Bay Packers (30% FAAB) – Speaking of coming out parties, Watson had the game of his life against a very good Dallas defense. Overcoming another early drop, Watson reeled 4-of-7 targets for 107 yards and three touchdowns. We can’t expect another performance like that but Watson was in on 84% of Green Bay’s snaps. Also, the Packers are desperate for playmakers, which should cement a significant role for Watson moving forward. The second-round rookie should fetch a large price after his eye-opening Week 10.

Week 10 byes: Baltimore, Cincinnati, New England, New York Jets

FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget

Jeff Wilson Jr. (RB) Miami Dolphins (10% FAAB) – There were concerns with Wilson’s usage after he was traded to Miami. But, after one game, it looks more like a happy homecoming. Wilson has been reunited with Raheem Mostert and Mike McDaniel and the results were very encouraging after one game. In his Dolphins debut, Wilson was in on 50% of Miami’s snaps. Wilson turned 12 touches into 72 yards and a score. Still rostered in less than half of ESPN leagues, Wilson has the chance to be a key contributor down the stretch in an explosive offense.

Mecole Hardman (WR) Kansas City Chiefs (9% FAAB) – After a slow start, Hardman has topped 12 fantasy points in four consecutive games. That run has elevated the fourth-year wideout to WR32 for the season. The volume hasn’t always been there but Andy Reid finds creative ways to get the ball into Hardman’s hands. And Hardman found the end zone five times in Kansas City’s past three contests. Only rostered in 36% of ESPN leagues, Hardman should be a priority add in all formats.

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 9

Josh Palmer

We are now officially into the second half of the 2022 fantasy season. The playoffs are rapidly approaching, making these mid-season tilts must-win games. Our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 9 will help you improve those odds during this brutal

It’s hard to believe how quickly the 2022 season is flying by. Further complicating matters is the arrival of those pesky bye weeks. That places added importance on the Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 9.

Here are the top fantasy-relevant, low-rostered free agents to target ahead of Week 9, with FAAB recommendations.

Week 9 byes: Browns, Cowboys, Broncos, Giants, Steelers, 49ers

FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget

Devin Duvernay (WR) Baltimore Ravens (10% FAAB) – Despite having five total touchdowns so far in 2022, Duvernay is still un-rostered in close to 70% of ESPN leagues. Although volume is a concern, that is mitigated somewhat by the news that Rashod Bateman re-injured his foot and could miss a month. That makes Duvernay Baltimore’s unquestioned No. 1 wideout. Also, it makes adding him to your roster the top priority ahead of this week’s matchup with New Orleans.

Josh Palmer (WR) Los Angeles Chargers (6% FAAB) – Mike Williams is expected to miss at least four weeks. That means Palmer will be the No. 2 wide receiver in a Chargers’ offense that ranks 4th in passing. No. 1 WR Keenan Allen hasn’t been fully healthy since Week 1. If Allen is still limited, Palmer could be used in as simliar fashion as he was prior to LA’s Week 8 bye. In that game, Palmer snagged 9-of-12 targets for 57 yards.

Kenyan Drake (RB) Baltimore Ravens (5% FAAB) – After Gus Edwards exited Week 8 with a hamstring injury, Drake acted as Baltimore’s feature back. Edwards is questionable heading into Week 9. Consider Drake a solid insurance policy or a nice flex option if Edwards sits.
