2025 New York Giants Fantasy Preview The Giants bottomed out last year, going 3-14. Yet, ownership retained both GM Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll. However, there was significant roster turnover as the regime scrambles to retain their jobs for one more season. A solid draft gives some hope for 2025, but competing in the treacherous NFC East won’t be easy. New York wisely moved on from Daniel Jones, who will be replaced by veteran Russell Wilson. Although he’s not the quarterback he once was, Wilson is an adequate NFL starter. He protects the ball, which is a welcome change. Along with Wilson, Jameis Winston gives the club solid veteran depth. The club also made a splash in the draft by trading back up into the first round to secure a future franchise signal caller. Jaxson Dart is accurate, has excellent ball placement, an NFL arm, and can be a dangerous rushing threat. Don’t be shocked if he gets a shot at playing this year if Wilson falters. The Draft also brought depth to the backfield. Arizona State RB Cam Skattebo is a favorite of the analytics crowd, reminding many of Austin Ekeler. Skattebo loves to lower his shoulder and create havoc after contact. He’s also an excellent receiver. Expect the Giants to employ a committee, with Tyrone Tracy retaining most of the early-down work and Skattebo playing a change-of-pace role. Both are desirable RB3 targets with RB2 potential. Russell Wilson’s arrival should mean good things for Malik Nabers. Nabers missed two games but still absorbed 170 targets, just five off the NFL lead. The dynamic rookie finished 8th in fantasy points per game despite starring in an offense that ranked 28th in passing. Nabers is a superstar and the early favorite to lead the entire NFL in targets. Daboll retains the same supporting cast, ensuring Nabers will be a highly sought-after first-round target. Wan’Dale Robinson ran 78.1 percent of his snaps out of the slot and finished as a low-end WR3. Darius Slayton is locked into the WR3 spot but took a step back last year due to the lousy QB play. No New York tight end finished inside the top 36 fantasy scorers last season. Rookie Theo Johnson was starting to emerge before a foot injury ended his season. Johnson was a fourth-round selection by this staff last season and will open his sophomore campaign as the starter. He has modest fantasy value but will be hard-pressed to rank inside the top 20 options in this offense. Fantasy Grade: D QB Wilson, Russell, NYG [QB1] Wilson took over as Pittsburgh’s starter in Week 7 and played adequately. In 11 games, he had four QB1 weeks and four performances outside of the weekly top 20. That’s not exactly what fantasy managers are looking for. Wilson ranked 17th in fantasy points per game, 24th in EPA, and ran for just 14 yards per game. The modest one-year deal Wilson signed with the Giants indicates that he is viewed as a bridge quarterback. Additionally, the Giants play the league’s toughest schedule this season, further limiting Wilson’s potential. Fantasy enthusiasts can just hope Wilson will target Malik Nabers early and often. ADVICE: Middling QB2 with limited upside. QB Winston, Jameis, NYG [QB2] Winston’s YOLO approach would have been great for Malik Nabers. Alas, he’ll sit behind Russell Wilson. But with this Giants’ staff on this ice, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Winston earn starts this season. That puts him on the dynasty Superflex radar. RB Tracy, Tyrone, NYG [RB1] Tracy is a volatile RB2 for 2025 after a promising 2024 (839 rushing yards, 5 TDs, 284 receiving yards, 1 TD, RB26 in PPR). Advanced metrics reveal inefficiencies: 2.84 yards after contact (26th), 34th in rush grade, 28th in Elusive Rating (PFF), and one of the worst EPAs (-24.6) in football. His 4.4 YPC and 34 forced missed tackles (35th) highlight explosiveness but inconsistency. Also, rookie Cam Skattebo, who stands out as a receiver with a nose for the stripe, threatens Tracy’s 58.2 percent snap share. ADVICE: Tracy will have a tough time repeating last year’s surprising numbers, making him a middling RB3. RB Skattebo, Cam, NYG [RB2] Sleeper The dynasty and fantasy community loves Arizona State RB Cam Skattebo. At 5-9 and 219 pounds, Skattebo’s bruising style and versatility shine. In 2024, he racked up 1,715 rushing yards, 21 TDs, and 45 receptions for 605 yards and 3 TDs, totaling 2,320 scrimmage yards. His 4.09 YAC per attempt and 102 forced missed tackles (second in FBS) highlight his elusiveness. With a 15 percent target share and 11.1 yards per reception, he’s a dual-threat weapon. Russell Wilson likes to target his backs, so Skattebo has a path to immediate PPR relevance. ADVICE: Mid-round sleeper with burst (89th-percentile), red-zone upside, and refined receiving chops. RB Singletary, Devin, NYG [RB3] Singletary was phased out of New York’s offense last season once Tyrone Tracy got up to speed. Now, Cam Skattebo is another obstacle in the way of Singletary, who is barely fantasy-relevant. WR Nabers, Malik, NYG [WR1] Nabers impressed in his rookie season with 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns, despite a rotating cast of quarterbacks. With Russell Wilson now at the helm, his efficiency is set to increase, and he already led the league in 2024 with 11 targets per game. Wilson had the 3rd best accuracy rate in 2024 at 68 percent. The Giants made no significant changes to the receiving corps, so Nabers’s role shouldn’t change. Malike Nabers’s playmaking ability makes him a breakout candidate for 2025. ADVICE: Explosive WR1 upside with a rising floor—target in the late first round. WR Robinson, Wan’Dale, NYG [WR2] One of the most surprising stats from 2024: Wan’Dale Robinson tied D.J. Moore for 10th among all WRs in targets (140) and ran the second-most slot snaps (640). However, Robinson didn’t get much fantasy production from all those opportunities. He ranked 102nd in fantasy points per target (1.31) and had one of the worst

It’s always entertaining to watch these two NFC East rivals square off. The Cowboys are reeling after dropping two straight home games. Conversely, they had won their previous 17 at AT&T Stadium. Therefore, they’re probably welcoming a change of scenery. And a game against a foe they’ve defeated in 11 of their last 12 matchups.
Conversely, the Giants are coming off of an upset win in Cleveland. New York’s offense has been more competent after their opener. With some momentum, they’re trying to get to 500 while simultaneously delivering a knockout punch to their hated rivals.
This game opened with Dallas favored by four. However, the line quickly jumped up to Dallas -6. The total stands at 45, up a meager half-point from its opening total.

The Dallas offensive ranks look good on paper. However, a big chunk of that production came in futile comeback attempts in their past two losses. The lack of balance and inability to run the ball has hurt the Cowboys.
Additionally, the Dallas defense has crumbled.
The Cowboys currently rank 28th in overall defense and have allowed the third-most points. Dallas ranks dead last against the run and has allowed 28-plus points in every game.
New York is surrendering 318 yards of offense per game, which is middle of the pack. However, only three teams have scored fewer points. Look for the Giants to try to slow things down and exploit that struggling defense.
On defense, the Giants rank 13th against the pass. They’re worst against the run (23rd) but don’t expect Dallas to be able to exploit that.
The real question here is can the Cowboys stop the bleeding to cool off Mike McCarthy’s hot seat?

Thursday Night Football Preview: Week 3 Last week’s battle was as high-scoring and entertaining as we expected. For Week 3, old NFC rivals square off. However, injuries to both teams will have an impact. FullTime Fantasy‘s Thursday Night Football Preview:
New York pulled off an improbable comeback on Sunday in Arizona but must avoid getting down early to this talented San Francisco squad. Also, the Giants are expected to be without their top offensive weapon.
The 49ers look like one of the best teams in football. San Francisco has won 12 of their last 18 against the G-Men and enter this game as 9.5-point favorites.

Things looked dire for the Giants last week. After getting drubbed in their opener, Brian Daboll’s team found themselves down 20-0 at halftime against the lowly Arizona Cardinals in Glendale on Sunday. Fortunately, the Giants stormed back and outscored the Cards 31-7 in the second half to improve to 1-1.
Playing that lackadaisically won’t work against Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers.
San Francisco beat the Rams to improve to 2-0. The 49ers boast the league’s No. 7 offense and have also allowed the third-fewest points in the league. Shanahan’s crew can win via the pass or run and will bring it defensively.
Also, the Giants will be without their best weapon, RB Saquon Barkley. This complicates things for Daboll and company. Also, the Giants will be without Andrew Thomas and Ben Bredeson on the offensive line.

The 2023 NFL season is right around the corner and that means fantasy football drafts are underway. Before you assemble your championship dynasty, redraft, or high-stakes squad, FullTime Fantasy members will have an in-depth, player-by-player preview of all 32 teams from football legend Shawn Childs.

Daniel Jones
Over his first three seasons with the Giants, Jones posted a 12-25 record with 45 passing touchdowns and 49 turnovers (29 interceptions and 36 fumbles – 20 lost). He added value to their run game (172/1,000/5 – 5.8 yards per rush), but Jones gained only 6.6 yards per pass attempt in his career. Five of his six 300-yard passing games came in his rookie season.
In 2021, he missed the final six matchups with a neck injury that didn’t require surgery. His only game of value came in Week 2 (429/2) while failing to deliver over two scores in any contest.
Jones set a career-best with his completion rate (67.2) last season, giving him three consecutive years of improvement. The change in coaching staff allowed him to be much more active in the run game (120/708/7), but he averaged only 29.5 passes over his 16 starts. Over his last 41 games, Jones threw only 36 passing touchdowns. His best growth area in 2022 was turnovers (five interceptions and three lost fumbles). He passed for more than 300 yards three times (341/1, 334/1, and 301/2) while finishing with 200 or fewer passing yards in 12 of his 18 matchups (including the postseason).
Fantasy Outlook: Despite missing one game, Jones finished 12th in quarterback scoring (329/05) in four-point passing touchdowns leagues. He scored more than 30.00 fantasy points in four games (30.80, 30.05, 37.95, and 30.85), two of which came from big days on the ground (11/107/1 and 11/91/2). This draft season, Jones is the 15th quarterback off the board. New York gave him a big-play wideout in this year’s draft, suggesting a new top in his yards per pass attempt (6.8 or below in all four seasons in the NFL). With 525 pass attempts, Jones has a chance at 4,300 combined yards with about 27 touchdowns.
Other Options: Tyrod Taylor, DeVito
— Running Backs —
The running back production for the Giants had a significant jump last year. They had 46 more rushing attempts than in 2021 but gained 408 rushing yards while setting three-year tops in yards per rush (4.4) and rushing touchdowns (13). On the downside, New York gave their backs fewer chances in the passing game (84/528/0), with continued weakness in their yards per catch (6.3). They finished with 2,228 combined yards with 13 touchdowns and 84 catches (22.64 FPPG in PPR formats).
Saquon Barkley
In his rookie season, Barkley ranked second in running back scoring (385.80 in PPR leagues – 2,028 combined yards with 15 touchdowns and 91 catches). He gained 1,441 combined yards the following year with eight touchdowns and 52 catches over 13 games (high-ankle sprain). His success over his first 29 games came to 21.65 fantasy points per game.
A torn ACL in his right knee in 2020 led to only two games of action (94 yards and six catches on 25 touches).
In 2021, Barkley struggled over his first two games (23/83 – 3.6 yards per catch and three catches for 13 yards) before looking sharp over the next two weeks (220 combined with three touchdowns and 11 catches). Unfortunately, a left ankle injury in Week 5 led to him missing most of his next five games. When Barkley returned to the lineup, the Giants’ offense lacked a pulse, leading to a dull finish to the season (521 combined yards with one score and 27 catches). He gained only 3.7 yards per rush and 4.9 yards per catch over this span.
The change in coaching staff in 2022 led to Barkley getting 352 touches, leading to career-highs in carries (295), rushing yards (1,312), and rushing touchdowns (13). He had nine plays of 20 yards or more, with three reaching the 40-yard mark. New York struggled to get him in space in the passing game (5.9 yards per catch). Barkley rushed for more than 100 yards in four games (18/164/1, 31/146, 24/110, and 35/152/1) but none after Week 10.
Fantasy Outlook: He finished fifth in running back scoring (284.50) in PPR leagues while delivering only one impact game (33.40 fantasy points in Week 1). Barkley scored between 17.00 and 27.50 fantasy points in 10 of his 18 starts. His lowest three outputs (6.80, 7.80, and 10.20 fantasy points) came over his final six matchups. In mid-June, Barkley is the fifth running back drafted with an early second-round ADP. The Giants gave him a franchise tag this spring, possibly inviting a holdout this summer and into the season. With the Giants trending up, I believe Barkley will get signed before the start of the season. He has an upside of 1,800 combined yards with double-digit scores and 70 catches.
Eric Gray
Over the past three seasons at Oklahoma, Gray had caught 86 of his 106 targets for 712 yards and four touchdowns. His best opportunity in the run game came in 2022 (213/1,366/11), where he set a four-year high in yards per rush (6.4). Gray gained 3,816 combined yards with 26 scores and 99 catches in his 47 games in college.
