NBA GPP Cheat Sheet Prices listed are Fanduel unless otherwise noted. My NBA articles will mostly focus on Fanduel lineup construction since besides center, you need to play two at each position. The players recommended are usually still good plays on DraftKings unless the pricing is drastically different. Also, many players on DraftKings have dual position eligibility or may be listed at a different position. I will try to mention if there is a specific good play on DK based on price or position eligibility. The players listed are in no particular order, as sometimes I am giving choices to help build your lineups at all price points. Point Guard Dennis Schroder – $7700 Spencer Dinwiddie – $7700 Reggie Jackson – $5700 J.J. Barea – $5500 Value/Punt Plays – Jarrett Jack $4900, Yogi Ferrell $4700 Shooting Guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope – $5900 Andrew Wiggins – $6500 Klay Thompson – $7600 Wesley Mathews $5100 Value/Punt Plays – Bogan Bogdanovic $4300 Small Forward LeBron James – $12600 Harrison Barnes – $6600 Kevin Durant – $11900 Brandon Ingram – $6900 Courtney Lee – $5300 Value/Punt Plays – Omri Casspi $4100, Andre Iguodala – $4700 Power Forward Kristaps Porzingas – $10200 Taj Gibson – $5800 Jordan Bell – $4300 Tobias Harris – $6700 Value/Punt Plays – Dirk Nowitzki $4500, Jeff Green $4500 Center Andre Drummond – $9400 Karl-Anthony Towns – $10100 Enes Kanter – $6700 Kevin Love – $7900 Value/Punt Plays – Brook Lopez $4500, Tyler Zeller $3800

Scouting the NBA 12/14/17

Plays of the Day Value: Wesley Matthews is one of several values to consider in a Mavericks uniform in tournament formats tonight. He’s been stroking from downtown lately and should see increased usage with Dennis Smith Jr. (hip) out. Fade: Kevin Durant has become incredibly expensive and while he’s producing more in the absence of Stephen Curry, he’s still playing within a system that spreads the wealth and the Warriors (-11.5) could win easily tonight over a Mavs team that’s in last place out West. Point Guard Lonzo Ball – (7,000 DK/7,500 FD) He’s worth a look as a tournament option with upside in a game to target at Cleveland. This game has a 219-point Over/Under and the Lakers have turned up to face big name competition, while Lonzo has particular pressure put on him to thrive when the spotlight is on. He’s coming off a good game at MSG and draws a great matchup against a Cavs team that’s essentially playing without a PG right now. Yogi Ferrell ($4.6k, $4.7k) and J.J. Barea ($5.6k, $5.5k) are solid value options with Dennis Smith Jr. (hip) ruled out in Golden State. The Warriors should be without both Steph Curry (ankle) and Draymond Green (shoulder) tonight, so that game could be closer than expected. Spencer Dinwiddie ($6.7k, $7.7k) is at a good price point on DK as the Nets top option right now. Frank Mason III ($3.9k, $4.2k) is a punt play with upside to consider as the Kings try something new at the PG position. Shooting Guard Klay Thompson – (6,900 DK/7,600 FD) With Curry inactive and Draymond Green likely out, Thompson becomes the second-most important player on the Warriors roster and he has a better chance of paying off his price tag than Kevin Durant, who is close to $12k on both main DFS sites. Thompson sees a 3.8 percent rise in usage with those players off the floor and is capable of going off anytime the Warriors play at home. Kent Bazemore ($5.7k, $5.9k) is a good play against the Pistons tonight after his big game the other night. Detroit happens to give up the most FPPG (44.42) to opposing SFs this season and Bazemore torched the Pistons earlier this season. You can use Caris LeVert ($5.4k, $6.1k) in cash games given his increased usage with the Nets missing D’Angelo Russell. J.R. Smith ($4.1k, $4.3k) will be worth a look as a cheap option if Dwyane Wade (knee) misses another game. Wesley Matthews ($4.6k, $5.1k) is a good GPP option to consider at Oracle Arena tonight. He’s a big game player and makes sense as a correlation play if you’re paying up for KD or Klay. Small Forward Kyle Kuzma – (5,500 DK/5,700 FD) Kuzma remains under priced on both main DFS sites, seemingly just because he dropped a dud in Philadelphia last Thursday. Yet he’s surrounded that by meeting or exceeding value in 12 appearances and just produced 31 points with 20 rebounds in road games against the Hornets and Knicks. Brandon Ingram ($6.5k, $6.9k) also has upside in a bout with the mighty LeBron James ($11.9k, $12.6k), who is worth paying up for if you can find comfortable values at other positions. Tobias Harris ($6.3k, $6.7k) can be considered in tournament formats as the Pistons SLU look to bounce back from a horrible outing. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson ($6.1k, $7.2k) remains cheap on DK and Andre Iguodala ($4.2k, $4.7k) is a very good value option to consider if Draymond doesn’t play tonight. Power Forward Kristaps Porzingis – (9,600 DK/10,200 FD) Porizingis continued to dominate with an impressive 37-point game against the Lakers and now he draws an even better matchup against a Nets team that gives up the third-most FPPG (57.65) to opposing centers this year. The Zinger has dominated the Knicks crosstown rival over his two years in the league and is arguably the top per-dollar option on this slate. Zach Randolph ($6.8k, $7.5k) is just about the only Kings player worth paying up for and he draws a good matchup against the Wolves. Jordan Bell ($3.6k, $4.3k) should see extended run if Draymond Green is inactive tonight. He went for 11 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists over 26 minutes on Monday and has athleticism to spare. The return of John Collins ($5.5k, $5.9k) for Atlanta could hurt the upside of Ersan Ilyasova ($5.3k, $4.7k), but he’s a sneak play against a Pistons team that doesn’t do a great job closing out on big men that can shoot. Center Karl-Anthony Towns – (9,100 DK/10,100 FD) While Andre Drummond ($9.3k, $9.4k) has plenty of upside, KAT has the best floor-ceiling combination at his position tonight against a Kings team that gives up the second-most FPPG (57.64) to opposing centers this year. He’s finally found a rhythm with 68 points, 40 rebounds and 7 blocks over his last three appearances and has been better at home throughout his early career. Willie Cauley-Stein ($5.1k, $6.0k) didn’t do much but it’s worth noting that he played 30 minutes Tuesday. If the Nets finally decide to play him, Jahlil Okafor ($4.0k, $5.2k) would become an intriguing value on DK, and his lackluster defense would further increase the prospects of Enes Kanter ($6.6k, $6.7k) for the Knicks.

I will try to mention if there is a specific good play on DK based on price or position eligibility. The players listed are in no particular order, as sometimes I am giving choices to help build your lineups at all price points. Point Guard Rajon Rando – $5800 – Love his recent game logs at a decent price. He is hitting 5-6X every time out practically with a ceiling of 60 fantasy points. Kyle Lowry – $8000 – The Suns DVP versus point guard has improved over the last five but is still near the bottom over the past ten games. Russell Westbrook – $11200 – Good floor right now, due for a ceiling game soon. Kyrie Irving – $8100 – Make sure he is playing, probably right now. Value/Punt Plays – Tyler Johnson $4700, Mike James $4500, Andrew Harrison $4200 Shooting Guard Victor Oladipo – $10000 – Hard to pull the trigger at this price, but disregard the name and look at his game logs. Price is up for a reason. Will Barton – $7000 – Both he and Garry Harris are playing very well with no Jokic in the lineup. Khris Middleton – $7400 – Going against the worst DVP tonight at the position over the last five games. Pelicans can’t stop shooting guards. Tyreke Evans – $7300 – Like the upside versus the Wizards. Value/Punt Plays – E’Twaun Moore $4600, Jeremy Lamb $4900 Small Forward Jonathan Simmons – $6500 – Playing very well with no Evan Fournier and now Aaron Gordon is out also. Paul George – $7600 – Price is back down some since he’s been back. Like it. The Freak – $12100 – Think I am fading tonight and playing Middleton and maybe Eric Bledsoe instead. Joe Ingles – $5200 – More of a value play, but could be in my lineups. Value/Punt Plays – Josh Richardson $4700, Bojan Bogdanovic $4500, Mario Hezonja $3700, Wilson Chandler $4100 Power Forward Carmelo Anthony – $6700 – Risky play, but has the ceiling and decent price. Thaddeus Young – $6300 – Not much to pay up for at the position tonight. Serge Ibaka – $5800 – Goes against the third worst DVP over the past five games. James Johnson – $5900 – Always risky, but has upside with no Whiteside in lineup. Value/Punt Plays – Nikola Mirotic $4800, Domantas Sabonis $4700, Daniel Theis $3500 Center Nikola Vucevic – $9300 – He’s on fire right now, so don’t mind him going against DeAndre Jordan. Aron Baynes – $3600 – Also a value play, should see increased minutes with no Al Horford. Steven Adams – $6900 – JaguarLou and I always talk about targeting centers versus the Pacers. DeAndre Jordon – $7900 – If want to save money off of Vuc can go other side with Jordan. Boogie – $12000 – Prefer more if AD is out Value/Punt Plays – Baynes $3600, Alex Len $4900 if Tyson Chandler sits. TUNE IN TO NBA LIVE AT 5 FOR MYSELF AND JAGUARLOU’S UPDATED PLAYS OF THE DAY

Scouting the NBA 12/13/17

Plays of the Day Value: David Nwaba has exceeded value in eight of his last nine appearances and makes for an easy target in what should be a fantasy-friendly matchup at home tonight against the Jazz. Utah’s been surprisingly vulnerable on the perimeter and is not yet stifling the paint with Rudy Gobert (knee) playing on a minutes limit, so Nwaba could be able to extend his streak of double-digit scoring games to five straight while providing peripheral stats over a healthy amount of run. Fade: Kemba Walker will look to lead the Hornets in a tough matchup at red-hot Houston, but the Rockets (-12.5) are rolling right now and could blow out his shorthanded Charlotte team. Point Guards Rajon Rondo – (6,300 DK/5,800 FD) Rondo flashed his still impressive ceiling with a triple double on Monday, and he makes for a great mid-tier option and a viable stacking partner with DeMarcus Cousins in tournaments tonight. If Anthony Davis (groin) misses another game, Rondo willhave even more appeal since he averages 1.12 FPs and 0.33 assists per minute when The Brow is off the floor this season and his playing time could continue to rise if Jameer Nelson (ankle) is also inactive. Milos Teodosic – (3,900 DK/4,500 FD) Teodosic is going to be relied upon heavily with Blake Griffin (knee) out and Danilo Gallinari (glute) appears to be headed back to the shelf as well. Orlando’s been a fantastic matchup for opposing PGs, giving up the second-most FPPG (51.04) to the position this year and the Magic cough up the most APG (25.0) overall this season, so a great passer like Teodosic could carve them up. He’s frankly quite under priced on DK as the floor general for a Clippers offense that has potential. Potential Value Mike James – (4,300 DK/4,500 FD) James continues to flash a higher floor with surprising upside while Devin Booker (groin) is out. Longshot Jrue Holiday – (7,200 DK/7,400 FD) Holiday seems to be the biggest beneficiary in terms of usage when Anthony Davis sits. Shooting Guards Victor Oladipo – (9,200 DK/10,000 FD) After getting traded from the Thunder to the Pacers, Oladipo is flourishing in Indiana and is red hot with averages of 29.1 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 4.7 APG and 2.4 SPG over his last seven appearances. He’s logging a 31.96 percent usage rate during that span and is unquestionably the first option for a Pacers team that surprisingly plays at the tenth-fastest pace in the league. Look for him to go toe-to-toe with Westbrook tonight and possibly produce comparable DFS production. Alec Burks – (5,100 DK/5,400 FD) Finally healthy after a couple of injury-plagued seasons, Burks is making the most of his opportunities on a Jazz team that’s been searching for consistent offense. He started off playing behind Donovan Mitchell, but has since found a role alongside the Rookie of the Year candidate, averaging 19.8 PPG while playing 27 MPG over his last five appearances. Up next for the man who has been called “Easy 20” for his scoring ability – a Bulls team that ranks 21st in defensive rating and rotates a number of inexperienced defenders in the backcourt. Potential Value Jeremy Lamb – (5,400 DK/4,900 FD) Lamb produced modest results but still met value and will remain reliable if Nic Batum (elbow) is out again. Longshot Jamal Murray – (5,200 DK/5,100 FD) Murray went off last night and with Nikola Jokic (ankle) and Will Barton (back) questionable, he could become a primary scoring option for Denver in Boston tonight. Small Forwards Giannis Antetokounmpo – (11,300 DK/12,100 FD) Giannis always has a high floor and he has a ton of upside as a correlation play if you stack Pelicans while looking to take advantage of the potential absence of Anthony Davis tonight. The Greek Freak is averaging 32.4 PPG, 11.4 RPG and 2.6 STL/BLK per game while shooting 54.2 percent from the floor over his last five appearances. Now he faces a Pelicans team that gives up the third-most FPPG (50.61) to opposing PFs and second-most PPG (111.6) overall this season, while ranking 26th in total rebounding. David Nwaba – (4,100 DK/4,600 FD) Listed as a combo guard on DraftKings tonight, Nwaba is a great value no matter where you insert him into lineups. The 6-foot-4 second-year man from the Los Angeles area has exceeded value in eight of his last nine appearances and makes for an easy target in what should be a fantasy-friendly matchup at home tonight against the Jazz. Potential Value Lance Stephenson – (4,100 DK/4,500 FD) Stephenson has been up-and-down but is a productive per-minute player with plenty of potential in a home tilt against the Thunder. Longshot Paul George – (7,700 DK/7,600 FD) George will be extremely motivated tonight to prove that Victor Oladipo is not a superior player, as indicated by recent results. Power Forwards Nikola Mirotic – (5,200 DK/4,800 FD) This is a night to save at PF in order to afford some high-priced guards and perhaps Boogie Cousins at center and Mirotic would become a very good value option if he starts for Lauri Markkanen (back) once again. The versatile forward went for 24 points and 8 rebounds over 32 minutes in a surprising win over Boston on Monday and draws a much better matchup on paper against a Jazz team that ranks 23rd in opponents 3PT shooting (37%) this season. Kenneth Faried – (5,000 DK/5,500 FD) The Celtics are a much better rebounding team this year, but remain vulnerable to ultra-athletic bigs such as Kenneth Faried. “The Manimal” has been hustling while seeing steady run for the Nuggets off the

Scouting the NBA 12/12/17

Plays of the Day Value: Jahlil Okafor is worth deploying as he makes his debut for the Nets tonight. He’s certainly well rested considering he’s played a total of 25 minutes this year, last seeing action Nov. 7 for the Sixers and Washington’s giving up the fifth-most RPG (16.64) to opposing centers this season. Fade: Ben Simmons could be a very popular play with Joel Embiid (back) questionable, but this is a surprisingly tough matchup for the young star against Jimmy Butler and a Wolves team with enough length to keep him out of the paint. Point Guards Spencer Dinwiddie – (6,100 DK/7,000 FD) Dinwiddie is simply at a great price point on DK with a floor of around 30 FPs and decent upside if the Wizards are still without their starting PG in John Wall. He’s averaging 1.06 FPs per minute with D’Angelo Russell (knee) off the floor this season and has put up solid averages of 13.7 PPG and 7.9 APG while playing 30.3 MPG over his last 10 appearances. The Wizards will be far more vulnerable in the backcourt if Wall is out, leaving backups Tim Frazier and Tomas Satoransky to try and defend the Nets guards while Bradley Beal gets tired out carrying the load offensively. Mike James – (4,300 DK/4,500 FD) James is suddenly thrust into a much bigger role with Devin Booker (abductor) expected to miss the next couple of weeks. James is rocking a team-high 34.2 percent usage rate and averaging 1.14 FPs per minute with Booker off the floor and went for 25 points over just 29 minutes in a tough matchup against the Spurs on Saturday. The athletic Kings backcourt represents a mismatch for Tyler Ulis, who is in a timeshare with James, so we can expect steady run for James as he looks to provide an encore. Potential Value J.J. Barea – (5,100 DK/5,400 FD) Barea has a solid floor with Dennis Smith Jr. (hip) out and he’s never been intimidated by the Spurs. Longshot Jeff Teague – (6,500 DK/6,500 FD) Teague has plenty of upside in a good matchup against the high-scoring Sixers. Shooting Guards Bradley Beal – (8,600 DK/8,600 FD) Beal might be a contrarian option if John Wall (knee) returns tonight given his hot shooting streak and ability to play off Wall when both are healthy. The sharpshooting guard is 34-for-80 (42.5%) from the field to average 36.6 PPG over his last three appearances and faces a horrible Nets defense that’s giving up the second-most PPG (111.1) while playing at the third-fastest pace in the NBA this season. Buddy Hield – (5,600 DK/5,500 FD) He’s finally finding his rhythm at the NBA level with a string of productive games in a row and tonight Hield draws a fantastic matchup against a Suns team that gives up the most PPG (115.0) this season. Phoenix gives up the fourth-most FPPG (47.83) to opposing SGs and Hield netted 14 points on 6-of-15 FG shooting in a previous meeting with the Suns. He’s averaging 25.6 DK PPG over his last five appearances despite playing just 24.6 MPG during that span and should continue to be a productive per-minute player against a team that plays at the second-fastest pace in the NBA. Potential Value Dwyane Wade – (5,300 DK/5,100 FD) Wade may be forced to step up tonight if Kevin Love (hip) can’t go. Longshot Will Barton – (7,400 DK/7,800 FD) Barton remains a boom-bust wildcard option with Nikola Jokic (ankle) inactive. Small Forwards Jimmy Butler – (8,000 DK/9,000 FD) New Timberwolves HC Tom Thibeadou has been more than willing to give Jimmy Butler a ton of run since their days together in Chicago and he’s doing it again. Butler is averaging 26 PPG and 5.5 APG over his last four appearances and he’s topped 40 minutes in each of his last five outings. His presence on both ends of the floor hurts the prospects of Ben Simmons and Butler might be a better per-dollar option tonight against a Sixers team that gives up the fourth-most FPPG (43.86) to opposing SFs this season. Kyle Kuzma – (5,300 DK/5,500 FD) The safer play in the Lakers frontcourt might be Brandon Ingram ($6.7k, $7.1k), but Kuzma could easily match is production at a cheaper price tag and is therefore a superior GPP option. The rookie mixed in a dud against Philadelphia with three great games against the Nuggets, Rockets and Hornets over the past week and now he faces a shorthanded Knicks team that’s playing without key wing Tim Hardaway Jr. (leg). Potential Value Rudy Gay – (5,800 DK/5,300 FD) Gay is playing with more confidence and might be overlooked tonight if Kawhi Leonard (quad) makes his season debut, while likely playing on a strict minutes limit. Longshot LeBron James – (11,800 DK/12,600 FD) Yes, you should pay ALL THE WAY UP for the King if Kevin Love doesn’t play tonight. Power Forwards Kristaps Porzingis – (9,500 DK/9,700 FD) After missing a few games with an ankle injury, Porzingis returned to drop a combined 53 points on the Bulls and Hawks. Up next is another inexperienced team in the Lakers, who give up the sixth-most RPG (12.96) and third-most BPG (1.96) to opposing PFs this season. He’s sporting a 38.3 percent usage rate and averaging 1.23 FPs per minute this season with Tim Hardaway Jr. (ankle) off the floor and has been lights out while averaging 26.4 PPG on 48.2 percent FG shooting at home. Ersan Ilyasova – (5,200 DK/5,900 FD) Ilyasova found his stroke with a ridiculous 9-for-9 FG shooting performance on Saturday and followed that up by dropping 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting on Sunday. He’s 10-for-11 from downtown in those contests and faces a Cavs team tonight that gives up the most 3PTM (11.8) per game this year. John Collins (shoulder) might return tonight but Dewayne Dedmon (leg) remains out indefinitely and Kevin Love (hip) is questionable for the
