Jaguar Lou’s Top Plays – 1/8/18

Jaguar Lou’s Top Picks for 1/8/2018 If you’re not max entering GPP tournaments, I strongly recommend only playing single entry and 3-5 person leagues. PG Darren Collison – 5,600 FD & 5,600 DK Victor Oladipo has a tough matchup tonight against a Bucks team that has allowed 36.2 FP to opposing shooting guards over their last five games, ranking them in the top 10 percent against defending the shooting guard. Conversely, Milwaukee has severe problems guarding the point guard allowing 73.1 FD points to opposing point guards over their last five. That’s a ridiculous number! Darren Collison has the best matchup of the night at reasonable pricing, lock him in. Other GPP PG Option(s): Dennis Schroder & Steph Curry   SG Caris LeVert– 6,100 FD & 5,200 DK With DeMarre Carroll sidelined, Caris LeVert should see extended minutes, shot attempts and overall usage. LeVert could very well be relied on to guard DeMar DeRozan, therefore the minutes should be there. Rondae Hollis Jefferson also sees a huge usage bump with DeMarre Carroll out for tonight’s game. Somewhat of a GPP play because it comes with some risk but with Butler, The Greek Freak, Lebron and Golden State on tonight’s slate, you’ll have to save money somewhere – Solid, talented value play. Other GPP SG Option(s): Klay Thompson & Eric Gordon   SF Jimmy Butler – 9,700 FD & 8,400 DK Jimmy Butler should be matching up against Lebron James in a high scoring affair for 25 + minutes, do I have to say any more? Foul trouble slightly concerns me but for a discounted price, in terms of elite players, Jimmy Butler is in a nice spot against a Cavs team that has allowed 56.0 FP to opposing Small Forwards over their last ten, tying them for first worst in the league. Other Small Forward Option(s): Giannis Antetokounmpo & Andre Iguodala   PF Rondae Hollis-Jefferson –6,900 FD & 5,800 DK With DeMarre Carroll sidelined, Rondae sees a big usage bump, at his reasonable pricing lock him in – his ceiling and floor is just too high tonight not to roster. Blake Griffin is the best Power Forward play of the night in terms of upside but for his price Rondae Hollis Jefferson is a nice play as well against a Toronto Raptors team that often has troubles with the power forward position. I like pairing Rondae in lineups tonight with Jonas Valanciunas, positive correlations. Other Power Forward Option(s): Blake Griffin, Draymond Green & Anthony Davis (All viable cash plays)   C DeAndre Jordan – 8,300 FD & 7,800 DK DeAndre Jordan faces a Hawks team that has led the league over their last five games in fantasy points allowed to opposing Centers at 54.5 PPG. I strongly recommend having either Jordan or Blake Griffin in your lineups tonight (That is if you don’t take both which is completely plausible) as this Clippers team is on one leg. I also expect the Hawks to shoot relatively poorly from the field, so I’m expecting a lot of rebounds for either DeAndre Jordan or Blake Griffin…Or both! Other Center Option(s): Jonas Valanciunas (GPP)

Jaguar Lou’s Top Plays – 1/5/18

Jaguar Lou’s Top Picks for 1/5/2018   PG Kyle Lowry – 7,500 FD & 7,300 DK Kyle Lowry faces a Milwaukee Bucks team that has allowed the most FD points in the league to opposing point guards over their last five games. Conversely, Milwaukee is in the top five in the league containing the shooting guard. Toronto is very much a two-man team with Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan. I called DeRozan in Toronto’s last game due to a poor matchup for Lowry, tonight I’m flipping the switch calling a massive game for Kyle Lowry, while DeMar DeRozan struggles in a tough matchup against a Bucks squad that has allowed a mere 33.0 fantasy points to opposing shooting guards over their last five, ranking them 5th best in the league. Other GPP PG Option(s): Kyrie Irving   SG Bradley Beal – 8,600 FD & 7,900 DK Bradley Beal has been on fire as of late averaging 58.05 FD points over his last two games. Beal sees a nice matchup tonight against Dillion Brooks and I don’t expect Marcin Gortat or Markieff Morris to score many points considering their matched up against JaMychal Green and Marc Gasol. Washington’s offensive production will have to come from somewhere and John Wall is very much a pass first point guard. This leaves Otto Porter and Bradley Beal. Beal sees the better matchup and comes into this game with more consistent game logs as well as a higher upside. Worth the Price! Other GPP SG Option(s): Wesley Matthews (GPP)   SF Giannis Antetokounmpo – 11,000 FD & 10,700 DK Over the last five games the Toronto Raptors have allowed 63.9 FD points to opposing power forwards, Conversely the Raptors have held opposing centers to a league best 23.2 FD points. Considering Valanciunas will not have any hand in guarding The Greek Freak, Giannis will be the superstar that I will be paying up for tonight. Other Small Forward Option(s): Kawai Leonard & T.J. Warren **Both the Jazz and Nuggets have been allowing a ton of points to opposing SF’s, seeing that their playing each other, I recommend having exposure to Ingles and Chandler – One should go off at low ownership and cheap pricing**   PF Ersan Ilyasova – 5,900 FD & 5,300 DK The Portland Trail Blazers are allowing a league high 75.0 fantasy points to opposing power forwards over their last five games. Atlanta recently had a slight battle for the starting power forward position with John Collins playing well over a stretch of a time but Ersan has regained the starting role and is clearly the player to benefit from these advantageous DVP the Trail Blazers are exhibiting. Other Power Forward Option(s): Marquese Chriss & John Collins (Hedge off Ersan)   C Karl Anthony Towns – 9,200 FD & 9,000 DK Karl Anthony Towns has a great matchup tonight against a Boston team that typically has troubles with the big men. Considering the fact that Jones could potentially be out, in addition to Teague already being out, I’m expecting a large dose of KAT – a staple of consistency for this Timberwolves team, not to mention he has the best matchup of the night against Al Horford. KAT is expensive but worth the price! Other Center Option(s): Dwight Howard & Pau Gasol (GPP)
