Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

Last week we saw the first fallout from the league’s new concussion protocol. Of course, protecting these players is paramount, but it’s going to cause some issues in fantasy football. The Fantasy Football Injury Rundown will catch you up on the important injury news and notes that will impact lineups in Week 6. Here are the key fantasy-relevant injury situations we’ll be monitoring. Both for this week’s action and moving forward. Also, be sure to check out our Week 6 waiver wire and FAAB recommendations. Rashaad Penny (RB) Seattle Seahawks – The biggest injury blow to come out of Week 5 was to Seattle’s starting running back. Penny, who is no stranger to injuries, broke his right tibia and will require season-ending surgery. It was another brutal injury for Penny, who head to free agency after the season. With Penny gone, Kenneth Walker III will now act as the Seahawks’ feature back. Dak Prescott (QB) Dallas Cowboys – Although Prescott is getting closer, reports indicate he still can’t grip the ball well with his right thumb. The Cowboys have a critical NFC East showdown with Philadelphia this week. But that game is Sunday night, which doesn’t help with lineup decision time. Since Cooper Rush is 4-0 as the starter, expect Jerry Jones to err on the side of caution and keep Prescott out for at least one more week. Darren Waller (TE) Las Vegas Raiders – Waller exited Monday night after six snaps. When the Raiders emerged from halftime, Waller was in street clothes. Certainly, that is a worrisome development for a player that battled hamstring issues throughout the preseason. For now, be prepared to be without Waller for at least one week. Foster Moreau (knee) missed Week 5. Both will have an additional week to heal due to Las Vegas’s Week 6 bye. Damien Harris (RB) New England Patriots – Another hamstring injury will keep Harris out for multiple weeks. With Harris out, Rhamondre Steven#SZN is certainly here. Stevenson racked up 175 yards on 27 touches against Detroit. New England has a bye in Week 10 so Week 11 may be a realistic return date for Harris. Pierre Strong is a waiver wire target in deeper leagues. Tee Higgins (WR) Cincinnati Bengals – It seems that the ankle injury that kept Higgins limited in practice was much worse than indicated. Higgins only participated in 10 snaps Monday and did not record a reception. If he is able to practice later this week that would be a good sign for Week 6. But for now, consider Higgins very questionable. Keenan Allen (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – Just look to Allen for the potential impact of hamstring injuries. LA’s No. 1 receiver has now missed four games with a seemingly moderate hamstring ailment. Allen may actually return to practice this week, which would be very welcomed. We’ll update his status in the FullTime Discord channel. James Conner (RB) Arizona Cardinals – For the second game in a row, Conner was unable to play in the second half. This time, a rib injury kept Conner sidelined. Darrel Williams (knee) was also ruled out. The team doesn’t seem overly concerned about Conner, but fantasy managers may want to proactively add Eno Benjamin as a hedge. Rashod Bateman (WR) Baltimore Ravens – A foot injury kept Bateman out last week but all indications are that he should be good to go versus the Giants. We will have an update on Bateman’s status later this week. Isaiah McKenzie (WR) Buffalo Bills – McKenzie missed last week due to a concussion and is still in the protocol. He has all week to clear the tests. If he does, he should slide right back in as the club’s WR3. If McKenzie misses Week 6, Khalil Shakir would be an appealing waiver add. Julio Jones (WR) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – The Bucs are taking a proactive approach with Jones’s knee. The aging veteran was close to playing last week but the club is cautiously hoping another week off will put Jones close to 100%. Chances are he will be activated this week. Dalton Schultz (TE) Dallas Cowboys – Apparently, Schultz re-injured his knee in Week 5, which explains his goose-egg performance. Schultz has really been struggling with Cooper Rush under center. It might be better for all if Schultz is held out this week until Dak Prescott returns. That’s about the only way he can salvage what looks like a lost 2022 season. Jahan Dotson (WR) Washington Commanders – A hamstring injury kept Dotson out last week. With the Commanders slated to play in short rest, there is next to zero shot Dotson plays. Expect Dyami Brown to fill in again. Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Miami Dolphins – Tagovailoa is still in the league’s concussion protocol. We fully expect him to miss at least one more start. Backup Teddy Bridgewater is also in the protocol but has already passed initial tests. Bridgewater is likely to start against the Vikings. Baker Mayfield (QB) Carolina Panthers – A high-ankle sprain will keep Mayfield sidelined for some time. P.J. Walker is slated to start this week. The Panthers also dismissed Matt Rhule. Don’t be surprised if Sam Darnold also earns some starts at some point. This is a situation to avoid, altogether. Logan Thomas (TE) Washington Commanders – Thomas sat out Week 5 with a calf injury. He also sat out practice Monday, which is a troubling sign for his Week 6 availability. Washington plays Chicago on Thursday, so Thomas is looking very questionable for Week 6. Robbie Gould (PK) San Francisco 49ers – 39-year-old kicker Robbie Gould hurt his knee making a tackle in San Francisco’s victory in Carolina. He was unable to kick the remainder of the game and the club will be bringing in the rotating group of veteran replacements this week. We’d start looking for other options. Ashton Dulin (WR) Indianapolis Colts – Dulin will miss a minimum of four weeks. He was placed on IR with a foot injury. Deonte Harty (WR) New Orleans Saints – Harty suffered a severe turf toe injury and is likely to miss the rest of the season.
Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

In a season that feels marred by injuries, Week 4 might have been the worst slate yet. We’re only one-quarter of the way through 2022 but it feels like every team has been majorly impacted. The Fantasy Football Injury Rundown keeps you up-to-date on all the fantasy-relevant injuries. It is also important to know how to overcome roster adversity. Attacking the Week 5 waiver wire is a good place to start the recovery process. Here is the fantasy football injury rundown ahead of Week 5. Barring something unforseen, expect to see D’Andre Swift & Alvin Kamara suit up this weekend. Javonte Williams (RB) Denver Broncos – The most devastating injury from Week 4 was Williams tearing his ACL. The sophomore running back’s 2022 season is over but there is some concern for his future. In addition to the ACL, Williams also tore his LCL and posterior lateral corner. These are three significant knee injuries that all occurred at once and will complicate his recovery. Our thoughts are with Williams and the long road ahead. Dak Prescott (QB) Dallas Cowboys – There was some speculation that Prescott could return in Week 5. But owner Jerry Jones indicated Prescott is still having issues gripping the ball. The Cowboys are also 3-0 with Cooper Rush under center, so they can afford to let Prescott rest another week. Expect Rush to nab the start against the Rams. Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Miami Dolphins – By now you’ve undoubtedly read about the Tua fiasco. It looked like Tagovailoa was concussed in Week 3 but was back out there on short rest. Then, a scarier head injury occurred on Thursday resulting in the quarterback being sent to the hospital. There are varying accounts of how Tua was allowed to re-enter Week 3 and suit up again four days later. Tua has already been ruled out for Week 5 and could be out longer. Teddy Bridgewater will be under center for the time being. Jonathan Taylor (RB) Indianapolis Colts – The original diagnosis for Taylor was the dreaded high-ankle sprain. Fortunately, that wasn’t the case. Taylor’s Week 5 availability is uncertain but he hasn’t participated in any practices. With the Colts due up for a Thursday game, things aren’t looking good. Even if he’s active, Taylor would likely be extremely limited against a Broncos defense that allows the ninth-fewest fantasy points to running backs. Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR) Detroit Lions – St. Brown missed practice all week and was held out of Week 4. St. Brown is tentatively expected to return to practice ahead of this week’s trip to New England. We’ll have updated in the FullTime Fantasy Discord. Ditto for D.J. Chark who was also a surprise scratch last Sunday. Cordarrelle Patterson (RB) Atlanta Falcons – Patterson tried to play through a knee injury, even scoring on nine carries but never returned. He was placed on IR Monday. That means he’ll be out a minimum of four games. Atlanta will surge ahead with Tyler Allgier and Caleb Huntley, who split snaps and touches evenly on Sunday. Russell Wilson (QB) Denver Broncos – Wilson was limited in practice with shoulder fatigue. The Broncos are on a short week hosting the Colts on Thursday. It is almost certainly just the club being cautious in a limited week. Daniel Jones (QB) New York Giants – Jones sprained his ankle in New York’s 20-12 victory over Chicago. Jones actually had to come back into the game after Tyrod Taylor exited with a concussion. It is not known if Jones will be available in Week 5 but the club brought in Jake Fromm and A.J. McCarron for workouts. We’ll update Jones’s status later when word breaks. Treylon Burks (WR) Tennessee Titans – A turf toe injury could sideline rookie WR Treylon Burks for 2-4 weeks. For now, surgery isn’t needed but expect to be without Burks for multiple starts. Jahan Dotson (WR) Washington Commanders – Ron Rivera said Jahan Dotson could miss 1-2 weeks with a hamstring injury. The injury itself didn’t seem too serious but hamstring ailments are notorious for reoccurring when not given proper time to fully heal. For now, plan on not having Dotson for Week 5, at least. Brian Robinson (RB) Washington Commanders – Robison is expected to make his NFL debut in Week 5. The rookie missed the first month of the season after being shot in the leg. His arrival would be just in time too. Antonio Gibson‘s snap share has been trending down. Robinson attracted a lot of hype this summer so we should see if he can live up to that quickly. Brian Hoyer (QB) New England Patriots – Already missing Mac Jones, the Patriots quickly had to get Bailey Zappe into NFL action after Hoyer was concussed early. All signs point toward Zappe making his first NFL start Sunday against the Lions. Justice Hill (RB) Baltimore Ravens – Hill hurt his hamstring and is expected to miss a game or two. Baltimore also activated Gus Edwards from the PUP list. That makes Edwards eligible to participate in practice this week. Expect the Ravens to have Mike Davis and Kenyan Drake active this week. Cameron Brate (TE) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Brate got hit by his teammate but returned to the field before being pulled and ruled out with a concussion. He will have to clear the league’s concussion protocol before he can return to action. Jamison Crowder (WR) New York Jets – A broken ankle with sideline Crowder for an extended period of time. The injury could be season-ending, so there is little reason to hold onto Crowder except in the deepest of dynasty leagues. Jerome Ford (KR) Cleveland Browns – Ford was placed on season-ending IR with an ankle injury. Matt Prater (PK) Arizona Cardinals – Prater was questionable all week but managed to play before a hip injury caused him to exit in the third quarter. The signing of Matt Amendola all but assures that Prater will be inactive in Week 5. ENTER OUR WEEK 5 DRAFT CONTEST! How it Works: Draft your team using our On-Demand Simulator. Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

We learned quite a bit in Week 3. It is starting to feel like players are who they are at this point. Naturally, there were plenty of injuries last week and our Fantasy Football Injury Rundown breaks down the fantasy impact. Before you finalize your waiver wire claims for Week 4, it’s crucial to know the latest injury info and how it will impact Week 4 and beyond. Here is the Fantasy Football Injury Rundown for Week 4 and how fantasy managers should approach it for this week and moving forward. This list will be updated as injury news rolls in all week. Mac Jones (QB) New England Patriots – Bill Belichick isn’t known for being forthright about injuries. For now, Jones is not going on IR but he should be expected to miss multiple weeks with a “severe” high-ankle sprain. The injury occurred on the final play of the game. Jones had his ankle rolled on and had to be immediately helped off the field. This is normally a 4-6 week injury, so be prepared to pick up Brian Hoyer if you’re in a bad way in a Superflex league. The loss of Jones is a pretty significant blow to all New England fantasy options. David Montgomery (RB) Chicago Bears – Khalil Herbert was the RB1 in Week 3 but that was supposed to be Montgomery’s breakout game. Unfortunately, Montgomery had his knee rolled up on and was quickly ruled out. There is still no definitive word on his diagnosis but upon initial view, it looked like a potential MCL injury. If that, or a PCL is the culprit, Montgomery could miss 4-6 weeks. We’ll have updates when they drop but expect a multiple-game absence. Dalvin Cook (RB) Minnesota Vikings – Another prominent RB1 was injured last week. Cook hurt his oft-injured shoulder running into his own lineman and was unable to return to action. X-rays were negative and Cook is listed as day-to-day. With Alexander Mattison fully capable of stepping in, it might be wise for the Vikings to let Cook rest for a week. For now, all we can do is monitor Cook’s practice status all week. He’s truly questionable to face the Saints. D’Andre Swift (RB) Detroit Lions – Swift is expected to be out until Week 7 with a shoulder injury. Dan Campbell said Swift would likely be held out two games and into Detroit’s Week 6 bye. Swift flashed top-5 upside in the first two games of the season so his absence will hurt. The good news is he should be fully healthy in time for the stretch drive. Jamaal Williams can now be penciled in as a strong RB2 for at least two games. Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Miami Dolphins – Anyone who watched Sunday has a hard time believing that Miami’s star quarterback wasn’t concussed. Tagovaila was wobbly after a hit but returned to the game. His productivity dropped off in the second half and the league is so concerned with how the injury was handled that they’re addressing how in-game concussions are handled. For Week 4, Tagovailoa is listed as questionable with a back injury. With Miami slated to play on Thursday, this is more concerning. We’ll have updates in the FullTime Discord. Keenan Allen (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – Allen sat out Week 3 with a hamstring injury but is tentatively expected to practice this week. If Allen is able to practice in full, he should return to a Chargers’ lineup that desperately needs him. Justin Herbert (QB) Los Angeles Chargers – Kudos to Herbert for playing through his rib injury last week but the results weren’t good. LA got pounded at home by the Jaguars. Even with the game out of hand, Herbert remained in, taking shots. He should continue to get healthier each day and a revenge game in Houston offers a wonderful opportunity to rebound in Week 4. Michael Thomas (WR) New Orleans Saints – Thomas hurt his toe in Week 3 but the injury isn’t considered serious. Thankfully, the injury was not on the same ankle that caused Thomas to miss the entire 2021 campaign. He might miss a practice or two but should be able to suit up versus the Vikings. Sterling Shepard (WR) New York Giants – In a freak accident on the final play, Shepard crumpled to the turf with a non-contact right knee injury. He was quickly loaded onto a cart and surrounded by players from both teams. An MRI Tuesday confirmed that Shepard tore his ACL and will miss the remainder of the 2022 season. Zach Wilson (QB) New York Jets – Out since the preseason, Wilson is projected to return as early as this week from a meniscus injury. As much as Joe Flacco has been slinging it, Wilson’s return is probably a downgrade for all Jets’ pass-catchers. Especially Tyler Conklin, who is tied for third among all tight ends with 24 targets. Elijah Moore and Wilson flashed chemistry down the stretch, so hoping that carries over. If Wilson suits up in Week 4, he’ll be welcomed by the Steelers. Kadarius Toney (WR) New York Giants – Toney is still dealing with an injured hamstring that kept him sidelined last week. Brian Daboll indicated Toney could return this week, just in time for Shepard’s time-leading target share to open up. Rookie Wan’Dale Robinson is also improving. Robinson hurt his knee in Week 1 and has missed two games. Consider both questionable to play against the Bears this week. Julio Jones (WR) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Jones missed two games with a knee injury but is expected to return against Kansas City this week. Due to Hurricane Ian, it is possible that the Buccaneers will be forced to play their “home” game elsewhere. If he’s in the lineup, Jones should be a good bet for a healthy target load. But, there’s a lot to account for here, so proceed with caution. Dalton Schultz (TE) Dallas Cowboys – Schultz tried to suit up on Monday but was ultimately ruled out with a knee injury. The fact that he was close to playing bodes
Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

Along with wild come-from-behind wins, Week 2 also had a number of significant injuries. The FullTime Fantasy Football Injury Rundown will update you on the severity and fallout. Before you finalize your waiver wire claims for Week 3, it’s crucial to know the latest injury info. Here is the Fantasy Football Injury Rundown for Week 3 and how fantasy managers should approach it for this week and moving forward. This list will be updated as injury news rolls in all week. Trey Lance (QB) San Francisco 49ers – Lance was a popular breakout candidate this preseason bases on his massive upside. Unfortunately, the bust part of boom/bust is applicable here as Lance’s season is over after a massive ankle injury. He’s already had surgery and the Niners will march forward with Jimmy Garoppolo. Lance drafters will likely have to surge ahead with a streaming approach. But Garoppolo, Carson Wentz, or Jared Goff make respectable replacements. James Conner (RB) Arizona Cardinals – An ankle injury caused Conner to exit early and he did not return. Early indications are that the injury isn’t serious but his inability to come back into a game that Arizona trailed is concerning. His Week 3 practice participation will be key. If Friday rolls around and Conner hasn’t practiced, it’s a good bet he’ll miss the game. Darrel Williams and Eno Benjamin split snaps evenly after Conner departed. Jerry Jeudy (WR) Denver Broncos – Jeudy hurt his rubs in the first quarter and did not return. He’s being listed as day-to-day. If Jeudy is forced to miss a game or two, Courtland Sutton would offer WR1 upside. Now if we can just do something at quarterback. Michael Pittman (WR) Indianapolis Colts – The Colts must’ve had a rough practice week. It cost them their top two wideouts and did not result in a win. Pittman hurt his quad but is considered day-to-day. He’s got a solid chance of suiting up this week and the club desperately needs his presence. Damien Harris (RB) New England Patriots – After getting hit in the knee, Harris limped off the field and did not return. In true Patriots fashion, he told the media he was “fine” after the game. We don’t expect the team to exactly be upfront about the true details of Harris’s knee. We’ll have to monitor his practice participation all week. If he’s ruled out, it would be a boon for Rhamondre Stevenson, who actually played more snaps than Harris in Week 3. Michael Gallup (WR) Dallas Cowboys – There is a chance that Michael Gallup (ACL) returns in Week 3. We would advise caution here but if Gallup is cleared to start, he would immediately be the Cowboys’ No. 2 option. A healthy Gallup is a solid weekly WR3/4. Gabriel Davis (WR) Buffalo Bills – A surprise inactive on Monday, Davis injured his ankle during Saturday’s practice. He was ruled out of Buffalo’s trouncing of Tennessee but there have been no updates on the injury itself. We’ll keep an eye on his status for Week 3 and update the FullTime Discord. Dalton Schultz (TE) Dallas Cowboys – Dr. Jerry Jones implied that Schultz might only miss one week but shouldn’t be absent long. This is good news, as Schultz appeared to suffer a major knee injury in the fourth quarter of the Cowboys’ upset over Cincinnati. Fantasy managers should be prepared to stream a tight end for a week or two but shouldn’t be shocked if Shultz is slow to recover. Julio Jones (WR) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Jones was listed as a game-time decision but was ultimately ruled out of Week 2. The aging, oft-injured wideout is dealing with a knee injury and is questionable for Week 3. The Bucs could desperately use him in the lineup. Our early guess is he will be able to play against the Packers. Hunter Renfrow (WR) Las Vegas Raiders – On what turned out to be the final play of the game, Renfrow took a hard hit to the shoulder from Isaiah Simmons. The hit was bad enough to put Renfrow in the league’s concussion protocol. Devin Duvernay (WR) Baltimore Ravens – Ravens’ wideout Devin Duvernay is also in the league’s concussion protocol after exiting in the fourth quarter of the Ravens’ loss to Miami. Duvernay returned the opening kick for a score. Other than that, he wasn’t involved much, snagging both of his targets for 42 yards. Tyrion Davis-Price (RB) San Francisco 49ers – After rushing 14 times for just 33 yards in Week 2, Davis-Price exited with an ankle injury. Word dropped Monday that TDP suffered the dreaded high-ankle sprain and will miss multiple weeks. There is no reason to keep the rookie rostered except in dynasty leagues. Jordan Mason is next up in the Niners backfield. Tyler Kroft (TE) San Francisco 49ers – Kroft injured his MCL and will be sidelined for a month or more. With George Kittle nearing a return, there is no reason to hold onto Kroft in any format. ENTER OUR WEEK 3 DRAFT CONTEST! How it Works: Draft your team using our On-Demand Simulator. Fantasy Football Injury Report

As if Week 15 wasn’t bad enough, a slew of big injuries and the continuing pandemic has shaken up the fantasy landscape just in time for the semi-finals. Now, more than ever, it’s imperative to stay informed on the impact of the fantasy-relevant injuries that are plaguing fantasy football rosters. Here is what you should know ahead of Week 16. Chris Godwin (WR) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (OUT) – The biggest blow to emerge from the worst of all weeks was Godwin’s torn ACL, which will end his 2021 season. Godwin was hit low and had his right knee bend awkwardly. The initial diagnosis was an MCL but further reviews showed more extensive damage. The Bucs were hit hard in Week 15 and will have to regroup down their three most-targeted players. Mike Evans (WR) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (OUT) – Around the same time the Bucs lost Godwin, Evans hurt his hamstring on a catch and was quickly ruled out. The injury isn’t considered serious but expectations are that Bruce Arians will keep Evans out for at least 1-2 weeks. Antonio Brown is now poised to be Tampa’s top wideout and offers WR1 upside here in the final two weeks. Leonard Fournette (RB) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (OUT) – As if losing their top-2 wideouts wasn’t enough of a blow, Sunday night also cost Tampa Bay their top running back. Together, that trio accounted for 50% of the Bucanneers’ targets. Fournette alone was leading all running backs with 84 targets and is expected to be sidelined for a minimum of two weeks. Ronald Jones will now take over as the club’s main runner, with Ke’Shawn Vaughn mixing in on passing downs. D’Andre Swift (RB) Detroit Lions – Swift has now missed three games with a shoulder injury and never came particularly close to playing last week. There has been some speculations that Swift could miss the remainder of the season but Detroit’s hesitancy to place their star running back on IR leaves room for some optimism that he could return this week or possibly Week 17. Joe Mixon (RB) Cincinnati Bengals – An ankle sprain cost Mixon most of the second half of Cincinnati’s Week 15 victory in Denver but the initial diagnosis doesn’t seem to throw up too many red flags. Consider Mixon on the plus side of questionable ahead of this week’s showdown with Baltimore. Adding Samaje Perine off the waiver wire would be wise. A.J. Brown (WR) Tennessee Titans – Out since Week 12 with a chest injury, Brown has been cleared to return from IR and is eligible to practice this week. As long as there are no setbacks, the Titans should have Brown back in the lineup, which would be perfect timing after losing Julio Jones again last week. Lamar Jackson (QB) Baltimore Ravens – Jackson missed the first game of his career due to injury but was considered close to playing last week. Even though Tyler Huntley fared extremely well, Jackson should be back under center this week for the Ravens, who desperately need to end a losing skid in a key matchup in Cleveland. Elijah Mitchell (RB) San Francisco 49ers (OUT) – Mitchell cleared the league’s concussion protocol but is expected to be a game-time decision with a knee ailment. San Francisco travels to Tennessee on Thursday, so we will be able to update Mitchell’s status in Discord. Pat Freiermuth (TE) Pittsburgh Steelers – Muth suffered his second concussion of the season and could be in real danger of being sidelined for at least one week. We’ll update his availability in Discord, but fantasy managers would be wise to look for other options. Adam Thielen (WR) Minnesota Vikings – Thielen worked out prior to Monday night but was unable to suit up in Minnesota’s win. He’s getting closer to returning from a high-ankle sprain, but a tough home date with the Rams this week makes him a risky fantasy proposition. Julio Jones (WR) Tennessee Titans – Jones re-aggravated the same hamstring injury that has cost him a significant portion of the 2021 campaign. We’d expect Jones to be shut down for multiple weeks at this point, as the only way to combat hamstring injuries is total rest. Update: It’s looking like they will give him a try in week 16. Kareem Hunt (RB) Cleveland Browns – In addition to dealing with an ankle ailment, Hunt was added to the reserve/COVID list ahead of Tuesday’s Week 15 game. Hunt is looking very doubtful to return in Week 16. Teddy Bridgewater (QB) Denver Broncos – Denver’s starting quarterback suffered a scary-looking head injury and was carted off the field to a local hospital. Bridgewater was diagnosed with a concussion and is not expected to be available for Week 16. Drew Lock is expected to be under center. Rondale Moore (WR) Arizona Cardinals – Moore is listed as day-to-day with an ankle injury. We’ll keep an eye on his practice participation all week. Emmanuel Sanders (WR) Buffalo Bills – Sanders (ankle) missed Week 15 and was originally expected to be a candidate to be out multiple games. That puts his Week 16 status in doubt. A matchup with the Patriots also doesn’t help, so don’t expect Sanders to be an option in fantasy lineups, active or not. Will Fuller (WR) Miami Dolphins – Another lost season for Fuller, who will not return from a finger injury that limited Fuller to four catches and 26 yards in a lost season. Daniel Jones (QB) New York Giants (OUT) – Head coach Joe Judge announced that the club will shut down Jones for the season with a neck injury. New York will now play out the rest of another lost season with Mike Glennon and Jake Fromm. Carlos Hyde (RB) Jacksonville Jaguars (OUT) – The Jags placed Hyde on season-ending IR with a concussion. Dare Ogunbowale will take over as the club’s No. 2 running back. J.D. McKissic (RB) Washington Football Team (OUT) – McKissic has now missed three games with a concussion and neck injury and was placed on IR. This will end his fantasy season, so McKissic can be dropped from all rosters. Sterling Shepard (WR) New York
Fantasy Football Injury Report

Fantasy Football Injury Report Week 14 The fantasy football playoff season is now within reach. Nothing can ruin a contending roster quite like an untimely injury. Here are some of the key injuries for fantasy enthusiasts to be aware of heading into Week 14 of the 2021 NFL season. Elijah Mitchell (RB) San Francico 49ers – After another stellar 25-touch outing in Week 13, rookie sensation Elijah Mitchell entered the league’s concussion protocol on Monday. This means Mitchell is unlikely to practice much if at all ahead of Week 14 and there may be no definite clarity on his status until gametime. We’ll monitor this closely all week, but with Jeff Wilson (knee) also ailing, the 49ers could could be down to JaMycal Hasty to face the Bengals. Keenan Allen (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – On Monday, Allen was placed on the reserve/COVID list and will need to submit two negative tests 24 hours apart in order to be cleared to face the Giants. Adam Thielen (WR) Minnesota Vikings – Thielen suffered a high-ankle sprain and could be out of the lineup for multiple weeks. With the Vikings playing on Thursday this week, there is no chance Thielen will suit up. Fantasy managers should look for other option for at lest the next two weeks and hope Thielen can be back to full health in time for the fantasy finals. Minnesots RB Dalvin Cook is also expected to miss this week with his banged up shoulder. D’Andre Swift (RB) Detroit Lions – Dan Campbell’s last comments implied that Swift might only miss one game, which means the star running back could be back in time for this week’s trip to Denver. Swift will need to get in a couple of practice sessions before he’s cleared, so we’ll keep an eye on Detroit’s backfield all week. Deebo Samuel (WR) San Francisco 49ers – A groin injury kept Samuel out of San Francisco’s loss in Seattle last week. Early reports are the team is hopeful that Samuel will return this week but the original diagnosis was a 2-3 week recovery time. We consider Samuel doubtful to suit up but his ability to participate, or not participate in practice this week will be telling. We’ll keep an eye on Samuel’s status all week and update our projections and the Discord channel as news breaks. Julio Jones (WR) Tennessee Titans – The Titans designated Jones to return from IR, opening up a three-week window for the veteran wideout to be activated on game day. Jones practiced on Monday after missing four weeks with a hamstring injury. If Jones is cleared to play in Week 14, he’d be on the WR3 radar in a tasty matchup against Jacksonville. Damien Harris (RB) New England Patriots – Harris was off to a brilliant start on Monday, running for 111 yards and a touchdown before exiting the game in the second quarter with a hamstring injury and not returning. Hamstring injuries are notorious for reoccurring when not given proper time off to fully heal, so New England’s Week 14 bye comes at the perfect time for Harris. Joe Burrow (QB) Cincinnati Bengals – Burrow dislocated his pinkie on his right hand but was able to finish the game in some pain. As of now, Burrow is expected to be able to play through the injury but it could take some zip off the ball or reoccur. As long as he starts, we’re not downgrading Burrow as of yet. Jalen Hurts (QB) Philadelphia Eagles – While the absence of Hurts in Week 13 did leave for another memorable episode of Minshew Mania, starring Garnder “Maverick” Minshew, Hurts is expected to be back under center when the Eagles return to action in Week 15. Darren Waller (TE) Las Vegas Raiders – Waller was upgraded to day-to-day with a knee injury that caused him to sit last week. Still, the Raiders have a capable backup and would be wise to let their star tight end get close to 100% rather than putting him back out there with the risk of reinjury. We’ll monitor Waller’s practice habits all week but would lead towards expecting him to sit this week. Logan Thomas (TE) Washington Football Team – Thomas finally returned to the lineup just to hurt his knee in Week 13. Although the initial diagnosis of a torn ACL/MCL was incorrect, the Football Team is still seeking further tests to confirm the severity of Thomas’s injury. At this point, it’s almost certainly a fantasy season-ending injury. Daniel Jones (QB) New York Giants – Both Jones and Mike Glennon are not expected to play this week, which puts Jake Fromm in-line to make his first NFL start in Los Angeles. Fade the Giants this week. Justin Fields (QB) Chicago Bears – Fields has already missed two starts with a rib injury and could be closer to suiting up. However, it’s a pain management issue for the rookie signal-caller and the Bears aren’t expected to rush Fields back when Andy Dalton is available. Consider Fields 50/50 at best for Week 14. Corey Davis (WR) New York Jets – Davis aggravated a groin injury that has been troublesome for over a month and will have season-ending surgery. David Njoku (TE) Cleveland Browns – On Tuesday the Browns placed Njoku on the reserve/COVID list. This puts Njoku’s Week 14 availability in doubt. If vaccinated, Njoku would have to have two negative tests 24-hours apart before Sunday. If he’s held out, expect more targets for Austin Hooper in an excellent spot against a Baltimore defense allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends. The fantasy football playoffs are right around the corner and every week left in the season is crucial towards giving your team the best shot at winning that championship. Fantasy Football Injury Report

Week 12 is always a special week on the annual calendar, with a terrific Thursday full of food, family, friends, and football. Unfortunately, 2021’s festivities were marred by a brutal week for injuries that will undoubtedly shake up the NFL and fantasy football landscape. Here are some of the major injuries from Week 12 that fantasy football managers need to be aware of. Christian McCaffrey (RB) Carolina Panthers – Yet another injury felled McCaffrey, who did not touch the ball in the second half of Carolina’s Week 12 loss after hurting his ankle. McCaffrey was seen in a walking boot after the game and word quickly came Monday that McCaffrey’s 2021 season was over. With two years now impacted by major injuries, CMC is no longer the undisputed RB1 in dynasty leagues. For proactive 2021 fantasy managers, Chuba Hubbard now becomes a priority waiver add on the odd chance the rookie is available in your league. Hubbard averaged 12.9 PPR points per game from Weeks 3-8. Dalvin Cook (RB) Minnesota Vikings – Standout Minnesota RB Dalvin Cook tore his labrum and suffered a separated shoulder in the Vikings’ Week 12 loss and is due to miss multiple weeks. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Vikings hold Cook out if/when the club is eliminated from the NFC wild-card chase. For now, fantasy managers should probably expect to not have Cook for at least 2-3 weeks. Alexander Mattison now becomes a potential championship-winning difference-maker down the stretch. Deebo Samuel (WR) San Francisco 49ers – Samuel exited San Francisco’s Week 12 victory after injuring his going and is expected to miss at least one game. With the 49ers right back in the playoff mix, they’ll undoubtedly want their star playmaker back as soon as possible but won’t rush Samuel back until the injury is 100%. For now, the best-case scenario seems to hope that Samuel is back in time for the fantasy playoffs, which are now just three weeks away. Alvin Kamara (RB) New Orleans Saints – Listed as questionable with a knee injury that has sidelined him for two games, Kamara was a limited participant in practice but is tentatively expected to return against Dallas on Thursday. Teammate Mark Ingram, who also missed Week 12, was a full participant and will return Week 13. D’Andre Swift (RB) Detroit Lions – Swift was knocked out of Detroit’s Thanksgiving loss early with a shoulder injury and has very little chance of playing in Week 13. We fully expect Jamaal Williams to start and receive a heavy workload at home against Minnesota. Ezekiel Elliott (RB) Dallas Cowboys – Even though Elliott practiced in full on Monday, there is a chance the Cowboys will hold their star running back out this week as they try to work around a minor knee ailment. The current plan is for Tony Pollard to take on more work on a weekly basis but if the club decides to sit Elliott against the Saints, Pollard would be a locked-in RB1. We’ll have a better idea of how the Cowboys’ backfield will shape up on Wednesday. CeeDee Lamb (WR) Dallas Cowboys – Lamb (concussion) was a full participant in practice Monday and will be active for the Cowboys Thursday night battle with New Orleans. Darrell Henderson (RB) Los Angeles Rams – Henderson strained his quad during the Rams Week 12 loss and may be limited throughout the week. The Rams are reeling but a Week 13 date with Jacksonville should right the ship. If Henderson is unable to practice or is ruled out, Sony Michel would be a solid RB2 in Week 13. We’ll monitor Henderson’s health this week and update projections and Discord. Darren Waller (TE) Las Vegas Raiders – Waller hurt his knee in Dallas and is listed as week-to-week. Current expectations are that Waller will miss at least one game, which makes Foster Moreau an intriguing waiver wire add for a matchup with Washington’s leaky secondary. Logan Thomas (TE) Washington Football Team – After a 7-week absence, Thomas returned on Monday and played 79% of Washington’s snaps. There were no setbacks with the hamstring, so Thomas is now a borderline weekly TE1 moving forward. J.D. McKissic (RB) Washington Football Team – After taking a knee to the helmet, McKissic was carted to the locker room in the waning moments of Washington’s Monday night victory. McKissic will almost certainly be in the league’s concussion protocol this week and have to clear multiple steps before being activated, even though his agent tweeted that McKissic was “all good” after the game. Pat Friermuth (TE) Pittsburgh Steelers – Friermuth left Pittsburgh’s blowout loss in Cincinnati with a possible concussion. We’ll monitor Friermuth’s status ahead of Week 13. Randall Cobb (WR) Green Bay Packers – Cobb was having his best game of the season before suffering a groin injury in the second quarter and being ruled out after halftime. Groin injuries have a tendency to reoccur when not given proper time off to heal, so expect Cobb to be sidelined for some time. The Packers are on bye in Week 13, which could help in the recovery timeline. Will Fuller (WR) Miami Dolphins – Still on IR with a broken finger, the oft-injured Fuller will not be activated this week for the Dolphins. Limited to just 65 snaps in two games, Fuller can be dropped from all redraft rosters that may have been holding out hope that December would help make up for a lost 2021 campaign. Curtis Samuel (WR) Washington Football Team – A groin injury has derailed Samuel’s first season in Washington, but the slot receiver returned in Week 12, playing 12 snaps and suffering no setbacks. The club will likely continue to monitor his snap counts but Samuel should see a bigger workload in Las Vegas. Dan Arnold (TE) Jacksonville Jaguars – Arnold sprained his MCL and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. This effectively ends Arnold’s 2021 fantasy season, so redraft fantasy managers can feel free to cut him from their rosters. James O’Shaughnessy will replace Arnold in Jacksonville’s lineup but offers precious little fantasy upside for
Fantasy Football Injury Report

Injuries are an unfortunate part of the game and the longer the season goes on, the more impactful those ailments tend to be. With the fantasy playoffs now within sight, it’s as important as ever to stay informed about injuries and to know how to respond. Week 12 also has a full three-game Thursday slate to complicate matters, plus a pair of powerful offenses on bye. Here are the key fantasy-relevant injuries to be aware of in Week 12. Week 12 NFL Byes: Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs Amari Cooper (WR) Dallas Cowboys – Cooper tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of Week 11 and has already been ruled out for the Cowboys’ Week 12 home game against the Raiders. Cooper should return to face New Orleans in Week 13. CeeDeel Lamb (WR) Dallas Cowboys – Dallas will also be without sophomore sensation CeeDee Lamb, who banged his head on the turf and is in the league’s concussion protocol. With precious little time to be cleared before Thursday, Lamb is looking very questionable, but if he was somehow cleared, would be a locked-in WR1. Alvin Kamara (RB) New Orleans Saints – A sprained MCL has cost Kamara the past two games and he was not on the practice field Monday. With the Saints hosting Buffalo on Thursday, there’s very little time for Kamara to get healthy ahead of Week 12. Consider the superstar running back very doubtful. A.J. Brown (WR) Tennessee Titans – Already limited by a previous knee injury, Brown added hand and chest injuries to his resume against Houston. None of these ailments are considered particularly severe, but they could continue to cap Brown’s upside. Michael Carter (RB) New York Jets – Carter was felled by the dreaded high-ankle sprain and should miss multiple weeks. The Jets will now resort to a committee of Tevin Coleman and Ty Johnson, who should have more value in PPR formats. Allen Robinson (WR) Chicago Bears – Robinson missed Week 11 with a hamstring injury and has precious little time to recover before Thursday’s early game. Even when healthy, A-Rob has been one of the biggest fantasy busts of the season, so there’s no reason to insert him into lineups, even if he’s somehow cleared to play this week. Saquon Barkley (RB) New York Giants – Playing for the first time since Week 5, Barkley emerged unscathed from New York’s Monday night loss in Tampa. In that game, Barkley played 36 (62%) snaps, accrued half of New York’s rushing attempts, and racked up a 16.7% target share. Barkley should be in the RB1 conversation for the remainder of the year. Kareem Hunt (RB) Cleveland Browns – Sidelined since Week 7, Hunt is rumored to be returning to practice this week, which would be a welcomed development for patient fantasy managers. Once activated, Hunt should quickly regain his weekly RB2/3 role in a Cleveland offense desperate for play-makers. Adam Trautman (TE) New Orleans Saints – Just when he finally scored after a month-long hot streak, Trautman sprained his MCL and will miss 4-6 weeks, all but ending his fantasy season. Nick Vannett should take over as the starter but has all of one target this season and is well off the fantasy radar. Elijah Mitchell (RB) San Francisco 49ers – Michell missed Week 11 with a busted finger but is listed as day-to-day. If he’s able to participate in a full practice this week, Mitchell should reclaim his starting role but might lose more work to Jeff Wilson. Cole Beasley (WR) Buffalo Bills – A rib injury has been limiting Beasley’s effectiveness and he was only able to play 57% of Buffalo’s snaps last week. Beasley has been held under double-digit fantasy points in back-to-back games and was limited in Monday’s practice. With a short turnaround for Thursday night’s game, fantasy managers should look for other options this week. Jarvis Landry (WR) Cleveland Browns – Landry played through the same knee injury that has hampered him all season but was on and off the field frequently. We’ll monitor Landry’s practice status throughout the week and adjust Week 12 projections accordingly. Justin Fields (QB) Chicago Bears – Fields was forced from Chicago’s Week 11 victory with injured ribs and replaced by Andy Dalton, who looked credible. Since the Bears open up Thursday’s slate by traveling to Detroit, Fields won’t play in Week 12, at minimum. Logan Thomas (TE) Washington Football Team – Sidelined since Week 4 with a hamstring ailment, Thomas is scheduled to return to practice this week and could be activated ahead of Monday’s game. Because of it being a Monday contest and possible rust even if he suits up, fantasy managers should look for other options in Week 12. Jordan Howard (RB) Philadelphia Eagles – A sprained knee knocked Howard out of Philadelphia’s Week 11 win and will cost the veteran rusher at least one game. With Miles Sanders back as the club’s main runner and Howard’s lack of pass-catching upside, there’s no reason for fantasy managers with tight rosters to hold onto Howard. Sterling Shepard (WR) New York Giants – Shepard was inactive Monday but was a limited participant in practice prior to that game. He’s trending towards returning to the lineup but can only be viewed as a fringe WR4 in a moribund New York passing “attack.” Jared Goff (QB) Detroit Lions – Detroit has their traditional early kickoff on Thanksgiving, so Goff is not expected to be active with his oblique injury. Tim Boyle is in-line to get the start, which is bad news overall for Detroit’s offense. Jamal Agnew (WR) Jacksonville Jaguars – Agnew injured his hip late in Jacksonville’s blowout loss to the 49ers and has been placed on season-ending IR. Fantasy Football Injury Report

Injuries are an unfortunate part of the game and the longer the season goes on, the more impactful those ailments tend to be. With the fantasy playoffs now within sight, it’s as important as ever to stay informed about injuries and to know how to respond. Here are the fantasy-relevant injuries to know about as we get ready to move ahead into Week 11. Week 11 NFL Byes: Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Rams Aaron Jones (RB) Green Bay Packers – Fantasy manager can breathe a sigh of relief. An MRI revealed Jones suffered a “mild” MCL sprain and may only miss a game or two. That means Jones should be back and ready to go for the fantasy playoffs. It also means that A.J. Dillon has top-10 upside in the next week or two and should be inserted into lineups or considered the No. 1 waiver wire priority where available. Alvin Kamara (RB) New Orleans Saints – There hasn’t been much of an update on Kamara’s knee. The injury isn’t considered serious but we should find out more this week if Kamara is able to participate in practice. We’ll have updates as the week progresses. DeAndre Hopkins (WR) Arizona Cardinals – Nuk has now missed two games with a hamstring injury and should be considered very questionable to face the Seahawks. With Arizona holding a Week 12 bye, it might make sense for the Cardinals to hold Hopkins out gain, essentially giving him a month off to get 100% for the playoff push. Saquon Barkley (RB) New York Giants – Giants’ beat writers reported Barkley looked good in practice on Monday and the expectation is that Barkley will be activated ahead of New York’s trip to Tampa Bay. He could be eased back in but once activated, Barkley offers RB1 upside, even in a tough matchup with the Buccaneers’ outstanding run defense. Cordarrelle Patterson (RB) Atlanta Falcons – Patterson was limited to just 15 snaps last week before exiting the game with a sprained ankle. With the Falcons looking at a quick turnaround and hosting New England on Thursday, there is almost zero chance Patterson will play in Week 11. Damien Harris (RB) New England Patriots – Harris still hasn’t cleared the league’s concussion protocol, which is a worrying sign for his overall health. After sitting out Week 10, teammate Rhamondre Stevenson rumbled for 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Harris was still sidelined on the Monday after New England’s victory. After Stevenson’s performance, it wouldn’t be a surprise at all to see the rookie take carries away from Harris, assuming Harris is cleared ahead of Week 11. We’ll keep an eye on this backfield throughout the week and adjust projections accordingly. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB) Kansas City Chiefs – Sidelined since getting hurt in Week 5, CEH is trending towards being activated ahead of Kansas City’s Week 11 showdown with Dallas. Even if he returns, Edwards-Helaire could find himself in an even timeshare with Darrel Williams, so approach this backfield with extreme caution until we see how the snaps are divided out. Chris Carson (RB) Seattle Seahawks – A neck injury has caused Caron to miss five games so far. Although Carson returned to limited practice last Wednesday, he was never close to being activated. If you’ve managed to stash Carson on IR this long, be prepared to do so for another week or two. Robert Woods (WR) Los Angeles Rams – Woods tore his ACL in practice Friday and will miss the remainder of the season. He can be dropped in all redraft leagues and having the injury occurred so late into the season could complicate Woods’s status heading into 2022 drafts. Dynasty managers should monitor his health all summer. Kyler Murray (QB) Arizona Cardinals – Kliff Kingsbury is erring on the side of caution with his franchise signal-caller. Murray “could” have played last week but Kingsbury held him back. We’ll keep an eye on this throughout the week and update in Discord when our Vegas insiders have the prognosis. Fantasy managers should make plans to be without Murray once again. Ben Roethlisberger (QB) Pittsburgh Steelers – Sidelined by COVID last week, Roethlisberger will need to test negative twice, 24 hours apart before being cleared for Pittsburgh’s Week 11 trip to face the Chargers. Big Ben reportedly was suffering symptoms and could be very questionable for this game. This is a situation to avoid altogether, as Roethlisberger has been a poor fantasy choice all season and would be a particularly lousy option at less than 100%. Latavius Murray (RB) Baltimore Ravens – The release of Le’Veon Bell indicates that Murray is likely about to return from an ankle injury that has cost him three games. Murray should take over as the main runner but also could be in a virtual 50/50 split with Devonta Freeman. Cole Beasley (WR) Buffalo Bills – Beasley is dealing with a rib injury that has slowed him down over the past couple of weeks. Beasley was limited to just nine snaps in Buffalo’s blowout win in New York. The outcome of that game was never in doubt, which may have led to Beasley’s limited action. We’ll monitor practice reports this week and adjust projections as news is updated. Jermar Jefferson (RB) Detroit Lions – Taking advantage of the absence of Jamaal Williams, Jefferson rushed for 41 yards and a score before being felled by an ankle injury. At this point, Jefferson is projected to miss multiple weeks and Williams is tentatively expected to return this week, so Jefferson can be dropped in redraft formats. Zach Wilson (QB) New York Jets – Wilson is still recovering from a sprained knee but early indications are that the No. 2 overall pick is in-line to get the start after Mike White‘s abysmal showing against Buffalo. Wilson will need to get in some full practices before he can face Miami, otherwise, Joe Flacco could be next man up. Fantasy Football Injury Report

Injuries are an unfortunate part of the game and their impact can destroy a well-constructed fantasy football roster in a hurry. Fortunately, unless you’re in a best-ball league, fantasy managers have the chance to hit the waiver wire and overcome untimely injuries. Let’s break down the fantasy-relevant injuries ahead of Week 8 and how fantasy managers can forge ahead. Week 8 byes: Baltimore Ravens, Las Vegas Raiders Dak Prescott (QB) Dallas Cowboys – According to Prescott, he could have kept playing on the calf injury he suffered in Dallas’ overtime win in Week 6. With a full bye week off to heal, the injury isn’t expected to hinder Prescott at all for the Cowboys’ Week 8 trip to Minnesota. Davante Adams (WR) Green Bay Packers – Not an injury, per se, but Adam was placed on the reserve/COVID list and is highly doubtful for Week 8 due to the short turnaround. Tuesday, Allen Lazard was also placed on the same list, leaving Green Bay dangerously thin at wide receiver and precious little time to add reinforcements. It’s possible Marquez Valdes-Scantling (IR) can be activated ahead of time but for now, plan on Randall Cobb, Amari Rogers, and Equanimeous St. Brown being the Packers’ main pass-catching options. DeAndre Hopkins (WR) Arizona Cardinals – Nuk injured his hamstring during Arizona’s Week 7 win against Houston and exited the game. He’s expected to be in the lineup on Thursday but is unlikely to practice much this week. As long as he’s active, fire up Hopkins as a WR1 in what shapes up to be the rare exciting Thursday Night matchup. Nick Chubb (RB) Cleveland Browns – After missing two games with a calf injury, Nick Chubb is tentatively expected to be back in the lineup this week as the Browns host the Steelers. As long as there are no setbacks, Chubb will be an RB1 but should cede passing-down work to Week 7 waiver wire hero D’Ernest Johnson. Saquon Barkley (RB) New York Giants – Barkley never came particularly close to practicing last week and will need to get multiple practices in before he’s cleared to return from his ankle injury. If Barkley has not returned to practice by Thursday, that’s a pretty good indicator that he’ll miss this week’s trip to Kansas City. Miles Sanders (RB) Philadelphia Eagles – Sanders was carted off the field after hurting his ankle in the first half of Philadelphia’s Week 7 loss. We’re still awaiting MRI results but Sanders is expected to be sidelined for multiple weeks, which makes Kenneth Gainwell a priority waiver wire target. Julio Jones (WR) Tennessee Titans – Jones managed to survive Week 8 without any setbacks on his injured hamstring. In Tennessee’s blowout win, Jones managed to play 42.6% of the team’s offensive snaps. As long as there are no tweaks in practice this week, Jones will be on the WR3 radar this week in Indianapolis. Sterling Shepard (WR) New York Giants – Questionable all week, Shepard tried to practice in pre-game workouts but was quickly precluded from the lineup. Another week of rest should make it more likely that Shepard’s hamstring will heal enough for Shepard to return in Week 8. Teammate Kenny Golladay (knee) is considered less likely to play but is worth monitoring all week. DeVante Parker (WR) Miami Dolphins – Out since hurting his hamstring in Week 4, Parker remains questionable ahead of this week’s unappealing trip to Buffalo. Even if he’s active, Parker is no more than a WR4 against a stout Bills’ secondary. Baker Mayfield (QB) Cleveland Browns – Mayfield also missed Week 7 and is considered highly questionable for Week 8 with a banged-up non-throwing shoulder. Even if Mayfield is active, he would not be a recommended fantasy option at less than 100% health playing against a Pittsburgh defense that has done a good job holding Mayfield in check for most of his career. Zach Wilson (QB) New York Jets – The draft’s No. 2 overall pick sprained his MCL and is expected to miss the next 2-4 weeks. New York’s offense was already struggling and Wilson’s absence will only exasperate those issues. The Jets traded for Joe Flacco and also have Mike White, who relieved Wilson in Week 7’s blowout loss. There’s little reason to start any Jets at this point. Trey Lance (QB) San Francisco 49ers – Lance sat out last week with a knee injury but is expected to return to practice ahead of Week 8. Jimmy Garoppolo struggled last week but has been named the club’s Week 8 starter. Expect the veteran to have a short hook, with Lance possibly factoring in as a gadget/short-yardage weapon. It’s probably only a matter of time before Lance is named San Francisco’s starter, making him an intriguing free-agent add. Tyrod Taylor (QB) Houston Texans – Out since hurting his hamstring in Week 2, Taylor should resume practice the week and will reclaim Houston’s starting job as soon as this week. Taylor will be a big upgrade for all of Houston’s skill position players and can be a solid option in Superflex leagues. Malcolm Brown (RB) Miami Dolphins – Brown started Week 7 but was forced from the game after five snaps with a quad injury. Brown had minimal fantasy value already but is now expected to miss multiple weeks. He can be cut in nearly all formats. Dyami Brown (WR) Washington Football Team – Brown suffered a knee injury last week and is expected to be sidelined for at least one week. Brown is well off the fantasy radar. Will Lutz (PK) New Orleans Saints – Generally one of the league’s better kickers, Lutz never recovered from a groin injury that caused him to open the season on IR. Even though he was activated from that list, Lutz tweeted that he’ll miss the rest of the season. The 2021 NFL season is well underway but it’s not too late to get access to the best help out there!
