Fantasy Football Injury Report

Summer is here, which means fantasy football draft season is just around the corner. Winter seems like a long time ago, and that means football fanatics have likely forgotten about injuries that could impact players’ status on draft day. FullTime‘s Fantasy Football Injury Report catches you up on the latest injury news ahead of redraft season. Some of these players had offseason ‘clean-up’ procedures. Meanwhile, others were hurt late in 2024, and we may have forgotten about those injuries. Here is the latest fantasy football injury report and how those ailments may impact 2025 drafts. Quarterbacks Dak Prescott (Dallas Cowboys) – A hamstring injury cost Prescott half of the 2024 season. However, he was on the field during OTAS, indicating that he is fully recovered. A fully healthy Prescott has a ton of sleeper appeal as a borderline QB1 who can be drafted late. Trevor Lawrence (Jacksonville Jaguars) – Lawrence had surgery on his non-throwing AC joint in December and dealt with a concussion. He participated in light duty while wearing an arm sleeve during OTAs. Reports indicate Lawrence is progressing well and will be a full participant in the preseason. Anthony Richardson (Indianapolis Colts) – One of last season’s most-hyped players, it’s been a steep and sudden decline for Anthony Richardson. From his erratic passing to the latest news that he aggravated the AC joint injury that limited his 2024 season, Richardson could lose his starting job to Daniel Jones. Richardson is currently expected to be back and compete with Jones in camp, but is barely draftable in single-QB formats. Deshaun Watson (Cleveland Browns) – Recovering from a torn Achilles, Watson is out of his walking boot and was throwing on the sidelines during OTAs. These are positive developments, as Watson appears to be ahead of pace in his recovery and keeping him away from massages. Still, with Joe Flacco and two rookies, the Browns won’t be in any hurry to rush him back into action. Running Backs Christian McCaffrey (San Francisco 49ers) – CMC has ‘zero restrictions’ in San Francisco’s offseason program. That’s great news for a player who suffered through an injury-marred 2024 campaign. Fantasy managers know the risk. When healthy, McCaffrey is at or near the top of the RB leaderboards. But the frequent injuries can be debilitating for fantasy rosters. One of the biggest risk/reward picks of the year. Joe Mixon (Houston Texans) – Mixon sat out OTAs while sporting a walking boot. The undiagnosed injury was listed as “minor,” but it is a worrisome development. Additionally, the signing of Nick Chubb is another blow to Mixon’s fantasy appeal. Earlier this offseason, Mixon was a strong RB2 value. Now, he is a considerably riskier investment. Jonathon Brooks (Carolina Panthers) – The Panthers placed Brooks (knee) on the season-ending PUP list on May 8. After only nine carries in his rookie campaign, the much-heralded running back will miss his sophomore season. Brooks is barely relevant in dynasty leagues and has no redraft value. Wide Receivers Amon-Ra St. Brown (Detroit Lions) – One of the league’s best wideouts, St. Brown was sidelined during OTAs after undergoing a clean-up procedure on his right knee during the offseason. The surgery was considered minor and isn’t expected to impact his 2025 availability. Hopefully, it’s just procedural caution on the Lions’ part. Tyreek Hill (Miami Dolphins) – The wrist injury that lingered for most of last season is no longer considered a factor. However, it was a rough offseason for Hill, who remains a somewhat risky WR2 with top-5 upside if he and Tua Tagovailoa can stay off the fantasy football injury report. Chris Godwin (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) – Godwin is working his way back from his season-ending Week 7 ankle injury. GM Jason Licht indicated that he expects Godwin to be on the field for Week 1. Stefon Diggs (New England Patriots) – Diggs was at OTAs, which bodes well for his 2025 availability. He tore his ACL in October but is already back participating in speedboat practice activities. He’s got a decent shot at being ready for Week 1. David Bell (Cleveland Browns) – Bell missed most of 2024 after suffering a season-ending dislocated hip in Week 2. He should be back to compete for the WR4 role in the preseason. Expected to Miss Time in 2025 Brandon Aiyuk (San Francisco 49ers) – Head coach Kyle Shanahan indicated that Aiyuk (knee) is a candidate to open the season on the PUP list. If that happens, he’ll miss at least the first four games. Aiyuk tore his ACL in late October and won’t participate in the preseason. He’s a risk/reward target in the middle rounds. Christian Watson (Green Bay Packers) – The oft-injured Watson tore his ACL. However, that latest injury occurred in Week 18. Even an optimistic recovery timetable would see Watson missing at least half of this season. The addition of first-round rookie WR Matthew Golden tells us all we need to know about Watson’s (lack of) 2025 potential. Tank Dell (Houston Texans) – As a reminder, Dell is not expected to play in 2025. He suffered a devastating leg injury in Week 16. Dell dislocated his knee, tore his ACL, MCL, and LCL, and also injured his meniscus. The Texans added two Iowa State wide receivers on Day Two, all but signaling that Dell won’t play in 2025. Trent Taylor (San Francisco 49ers) – Taylor was placed on season-ending IR Moose Muhammad III (Carolina Panthers) – The undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M, Muhammad was waived with an injury designation. He went unclaimed on waivers and reverted to Carolina’s injured reserve. Tight Ends Kyle Pitts (Atlanta Falcons) – Pitts missed OTAs with a foot injury but has been present in the building for team meetings. He will return for training camp. Colston Loveland (Chicago Bears) – Chicago’s first-round rookie had offseason shoulder surgery, and it’s unknown if he will be fully ready to participate in camp when it opens. Taysom Hill (New Orleans Saints) –
NFL Injury Report

The vast majority of season-long fantasy leagues have already concluded, but there is still a full 16-game slate of NFL action ahead in Week 18. With best-ball and daily fantasy leagues still going, staying abreast of the fantasy-relevant injuries is still important. Baker Mayfield (QB) Cleveland Browns – Mayfield has been playing with a torn labrum in his left (non-throwing) shoulder all season and will not play in Cleveland’s finale. Mayfield is expected to have surgery on his shoulder but may have played his last game in Cleveland. Case Keenum should be under center for the Browns. Lamar Jackson (QB) Baltimore Ravens – Baltimore has dropped their last two games without Jackson and is now on the fringes of the AFC wild-card hunt. The Ravens need a ton of things to go right to sneak into the seven seed, beginning with needing to knock off the Steelers at home. If Jackson can play, he’ll be out there, but he may be playing at less than 100%, and John Harbaugh could pull him if other games aren’t going Baltimore’s way. It’s a situation to avoid in DFS this week. Jimmy Garoppolo (QB) San Francisco 49ers – Trey Lance led the Niners to an easy victory over the Texans and will most likely be under center again the Rams. San Francisco has already clinched a wild-card spot and would do well to give Jimmy G. another week to rest for the postseason and get another week of evaluation for Lance. Jared Goff (QB) Detroit Lions – Goff has missed two games with a knee injury but was reportedly processing well last week. Odds are he’ll be in the lineup as long as he’s able to practice this week. Regardless of who starts, there’s not a lot of fantasy upside for the Lions’ passers as another lost season concludes. Teddy Bridgewater (QB) Denver Broncos – Listed as doubtful, a concussion will almost certainly assure that Drew Lock starts in a meaningless game for the Broncos. James Conner (RB) Arizona Cardinals – That heel injury kept our guy out again last week, but we’re hoping he’ll be back to conclude the regular season. That said, it makes more sense for Kliff Kingsbury to hold Conner out for the playoffs, so prepare for another busy week for Chase Edmonds. Michael Gallup (WR) Dallas Cowboys – Gallup tore his ACL making an end-zone TD grab and will miss the remainder of the season. Darren Waller (TE) Las Vegas Raiders – Sunday night’s tilt with the Chargers is a “win and in” game for the Raiders, so there’s a very good chance we’ll finally see Waller back on the field. The star tight end has missed a month with a knee injury and was on the reserve/COVID list last week. As long as Waller is cleared, he’s a top-5 fantasy option in the season finale. Miles Sanders (RB) Philadelphia Eagles – Sanders broke his hand and missed last week. With the Eagles already having clinched a wild-card berth, there’s no reason to think Sanders will be active in a game that has little real meaning for the club. However, the Eagles have been hit hard by COVID, so we’ll certainly be monitoring their backfield’s health ahead of Week 18. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB) Kansas City Chiefs – Andy Reid said that sophomore RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire could return from a shoulder injury but the Chiefs have a more-than-adequate backup in Darrel Williams and shouldn’t need CEH to knock off the Broncos. Odds are, Reid will opt to rest Edwards-Helaire until the playoffs. Ronald Jones, Ke’Shawn Vaughn (RB) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Both of Tampa’s top-2 back exited Week 17 early. Jones is supposed to have an MRI on his ankle injury, while Vaughn hurt his ribs. The Bucs are planning on playing all of their starters this week, which could be Le’Veon Bell if Jones and Vaughn are ruled out, as expected. Kareem Hunt (RB) Cleveland Browns – Best-ballers were hoping that Hunt (ankle) would be activated ahead of Cleveland’s Monday loss but with nothing on the line in Week 18, it wouldn’t make much sense for the Browns to play Hunt in a meaningless game. Michael Carter (RB) New York Jets – Carter exited last week after three carries with a concussion. He’ll have five days to clear the league’s protocol but has a tough matchup against Buffalo’s fearsome run defense. Practiced Thursday so that’s a good sign. Ricky Seals-Jones (TE) Washington Football Team – Seals-Jones also suffered a concussion and will most likely be held out of a meaningless season finale. RSJ had been passed by John Bates on the depth chart recently, anyway, so he’s well off the fantasy radar. Alex Collins (RB) Seattle Seahawks – Collins has been placed on IR and his season is over. This locks Rashaad Penny into lead-back duties in Arizona. Blake Jarwin (TE) Dallas Cowboys – Jarwin should be activated this week but is well behind Dalton Schultz in the pecking order. Perhaps the loss of Michael Gallup will result in more ’12’ sets but Jarwin can’t be trusted in fantasy lineups of any type. Robby Anderson (WR) Carolina Panthers – Remained sidelined during Thursday practice. (quad) Antonio Brown (WR) Free Agent – Bucs waived him on Thursday and will inevitably go unclaimed on waivers. Chase Edmonds (RB) Arizona Cardinals – Remained sidelined for Thursday practice. (toe) Players on the Reserve/COVID list Diontae Johnson (WR) Pittsburgh Steelers Justin Fields (QB) Chicago Bears Jordan Howard (RB) Philadelphia Eagles Boston Scott (RB) Philadelphia Eagles Dallas Goedert (TE) Philadelphia Eagles D’Ernest Johnson (RB) Cleveland Browns Brandon McManus (PK) Denver Broncos Jerry Jeudy (WR) Denver Broncos Tim Patrick (WR) Denver Broncos Micah Parson (LB) Dallas Cowboys – Won’t play. Mike Tagliere Memorial Playoff Challenge In honor of industry giant and close personal friend to our Jody Smith, this year’s playoff contest is in memory of Mike Tagliere from Fantasy Pros. “As you all know, the fantasy industry was dealt a devastating blow in September when we lost one of the most genuine people and finest football analysts ever in Mike Tagliere. Fantasy Football Injury Report

The stakes are never bigger than the final week of the season, where champions are determined. In no other week is it more imperative to stay informed of all fantasy-relevant injuries and the ongoing pandemic only increases that importance. Here are all the injuries and reserve/COVID players who could impact Week 17. Good luck bringing home the title! Antonio Brown (WR) Tampa Bay Bucs – Now dealing with an ankle injury and could miss the game. Evans should suit up to pair with Gronk and Tyler Johnson as Brady’s top targets. Perriman (recently removed from C19 list) has a chance to be involved as well. Dalvin Cook (RB) Minnesota Vikings – Cook missed last week due to testing positive for COVID but has already been activated. Cook almost certainly has to be inserted into fantasy lineups but fantasy managers burned by several underperforming players that returned last week should lower expectations for Week 17. Lamar Jackson (QB) Baltimore Ravens – Jackson returned to practice Wednesday but showcased a noticeable limp and was limited. The Ravens would undoubtedly like to have their franchise singal-caller back to hold onto their waning playoff odds but considering how well Tyer Huntley has played, are unlikely to rush Jackson back until they’re confident he’s close to fully healthy. Update: Didn’t practice Thursday. Huntley trending towards starting. Adam Thielen (WR) Minnesota Vikings – Based on Thielen’s reaction after he was tackled near the goal line, we weren’t expecting good news. Thielen ended up having season-ending ankle surgery on Tuesday and can safely be dropped from redraft rosters. Elijah Mitchell (RB) San Francisco 49ers – After being sidelined for three games, Mitchell was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, which bodes well for his potential Week 17 availability. We’ll monitor the rookie’s status and update it in the Discord channel. D’Andre Swift (RB) Detroit Lions – According to head coach Dan Campbell, Swift is expected to play in Seattle after missing four games with a shoulder injury. Swift would likely split time with Jamaal Williams and Craig Reynolds but has enough PPR upside to be an immediate RB2 if he’s activated. Darrel Henderson (RB) Los Angeles Rams – Henderson sprained his MCL and has been placed on Injured Reserve. Henderson could return for the playoffs but the injury ends his 2021 fantasy season. Cam Akers (RB) Los Angeles Rams –With Darrell Henderson’s regular season over, Akers could be on the field this week after being activated last week. If Akers is even able to jog onto the field, it would be a miraculous and unprecedented return from a torn Achilles in only five months. James Conner (RB) Arizona Cardinals – A heel injury ultimately kept Conner out of Week 16 and has kept the breakout back on the sidelines in practice so far this week. If Conner is able to play, he’ll wind up splitting snaps with Chase Edmonds. Miles Sanders (RB) Philadelphia Eagles – Sanders broke his hand last week and will not play in Week 17, at a minimum. Expect the Eagles to go with a rotation of Jordan Howard, Boston Scott, and Kenneth Gainwell this week in Washington. Howard himself is dealing with a shoulder injury, so his absence would put Scott into RB3 territory. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB) Kansas City Chiefs – A collarbone injury is fully expected to keep Edwards-Helaire out this week. Darrel Williams should lead Kansas City’s backfield and has RB1 upside against Cincinnati. Elijah Moore (WR) New York Jets – (NOW OUT) Moore has missed three games with a quad injury and is considered very questionable to suit up this week against the Bucs. We’ll update his practice participation in Discord throughout the week. Teammate Jamison Crowder is also dealing with a calf injury and is considered 50/50 at best. Jimmy Garoppolo (QB) San Francisco 49ers – Trey Lance is in line to potentially start for the Niners this week as Garoppolo is dealing with a Grade 3 sprain to the thumb on his throwing hand. Garoppolo is going to try to practice this week and see if he can still make the start but could be limited or a risk to re-injure the thumb at any point. It’s a superb matchup for San Francisco, facing a moribund Houston defense, so whoever starts is certainly on the fantasy radar, particularly Lance, who would have top-10 upside. Rondale Moore (WR) Arizona Cardinals – A knee injury that kept Moore sidelined last week is still keeping the rookie wideout out of practice. Moore hasn’t done much since the Week 12 bye even after the loss of DeAndre Hopkins, so he’s not a player fantasy managers should be relying on, even if he’s active. Jack Doyle (TE) Indianapolis Colts – Doyle was limited to a pair of snaps last week after aggravating a pair of leg injuries. Doyle has little fantasy value as it is but if he’s ruled out, Mo Alie-Cox would become an interesting streaming option against a Raiders’ defense that has been terrible against tight ends all season. Curtis Samuel (WR) Washington Football Team – Limited to just nine targets and 84 snaps all season, Samuel is highly likely to miss another game with a hamstring injury. Samuel’s first season since signing a free-agent deal to join Washington was a total bust. Kadarius Toney (WR) New York Giants – Numerous ailments have impacted Toney’s rookie season and he’s now dealing with a shoulder injury that could keep him out of Week 17. With Daniel Jones on IR, there’s simply no reason to put Toney into any lineups at this point, even if he’s able to suit up in the fantasy finale. Jared Goff is doubtful to play. Tim Boyle will get the nod, who found Amon-Ra St. Brown 9 times last week. Marlon Mack and Laviska Shenault both activated from C19 list. Players on the Reserve/COVID list Kirk Cousins (QB) Minnesota Vikings Antonio Gibson (RB) Washington Football Team – Jarrett Patterson has a chance to be an every down back in this game. Darren Waller (TE) Las Vegas Raiders Mike Evans (WR) Tampa Bay Buccaneers Carson Wentz (QB) Indianapolis Colts Julio Jones (WR) Tennessee
Fantasy Football Injury Report

If you’re reading a fantasy football injury report ahead of Week 15, that means you made the playoffs. Congratulations on a successful season. Now, we must navigate a troubling dearth of injuries being worsened by the growing list of COVID cases running rampant. The timing is awful but there are things that fantasy managers can do to help their teams move on one more week. Here are the key fantasy-relevant injuries to be aware of in Week 15 Lamar Jackson (QB) Baltimore Ravens – Jackson was felled by an ankle injury early in the second quarter and carted off the field. Early diagnosis says Jackson, fortunately, did not suffer a high-ankle sprain and may not miss any time. However, if Jackson suits up, he could be physically limited which would be a severe blow to his fantasy upside. Jackson is the top rushing QB in the football but forced to rely on just his arm and Jackson is reduced to a middling QB2 facing a solid Green Bay secondary. Aaron Rodgers (QB) Green Bay Packers – Despite another brilliant outing against the team he owns, Rodgers reportedly had a setback with his toe and could be further limited moving forward. It was said that Rodgers could be sidelined at any time if his foot were to get stepped on. This is troubling but as long as Rodgers is active, he’s a locked-in QB1, but one that comes with quite a bit of risk. Josh Allen (QB) Buffalo Bills – After Buffalo’s overtime loss in Tampa, Allen addressed the media in a walking boot, which raised some big concerns. Tuesday, Allen’s injury was labeled a minor case of turf toe that isn’t expected to have any impact on this week’s must-win date with the fading Panthers. He might run less, but Allen is still a top-10 weekly option as long as he’s active. Austin Ekeler (RB) Los Angeles Chargers – Fantasy football’s overall RB2, Ekeler was limited by an ankle injury last week and held out of practice Monday. However, the Chargers play Thursday so the day off wasn’t unexpected, and by all indications from Brandon Staley, the injury isn’t expected to affect Ekeler’s Week 15 availability. DeAndre Hopkins (WR) Arizona Cardinals – Nuk is expected to undergo an MRI for a leg injury he sustained late in Arizona’s Monday night loss. We’ll update his status as results come in but it isn’t expected to be a serious injury. D’Andre Swift (RB) Detroit Lions – Swift (shoulder) is listed as day-to-day and could be cleared to return this week. If Swift is activated, he is on the RB1/2 line due to his receiving prowess, even if he is eased back into action. We’ll update Swift’s recovery progress this week in Discord. Terry McLaurin (WR) Washington Football Team – McLaurin banged his head on the turf and suffered a concussion in Week 14. McLaurin will have to clear the league’s concussion protocol before he’s able to be activated so we’ll keep an eye on his practice participation throughout the week. Elijah Mitchell (RB) San Francisco 49ers – Mitchell missed Week 14 with a knee injury and a concussion that he somehow managed to play through in Week 13. Neither setback is supposed to be considered serious, so if Mitchell is a full participant in practice by Friday, he’ll be a locked-in RB1 against Atlanta. Darrell Henderson (RB) Los Angeles Rams – On top of a quad injury that has sidelined him for two games, Henderson was placed on the reserve/COVID list. If vaccinated, Henderson could be cleared to suit up in Week 15 but the leg injury is another matter. For now, he’s looking very questionable. Darren Waller (RB) Las Vegas Raiders – Waller (knee) was not at practice on Tuesday, which puts his Week 15 availability very much in doubt. Backup Foster Moreau was also absent with an abdominal ailment. This looks like a situation to avoid Saturday. Chase Edmonds (RB) Arizona Cardinals – Edmonds was activated from IR last week but Kliff Kingsbury elected to keep him out of Monday’s loss. There’s a very good chance that Edmonds will return this week but as well as James Conner has performed as the feature back, it’s fair to wonder what kind of role Edmonds will have. Michael Carter (RB) New York Jets – Absent since suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 11, Carter is tentatively expected to be activated ahead of New York’s trip to Miami this week. Carter was playing extremely well before getting injured and his three-down ability would provide a much-needed boost to both the Jets and fantasy managers hoping to win in Round 1. Elijah Moore (WR) New York Jets – The rookie sensation was a surprise addition to the team’s short-term IR last week with a quad injury. Moore will miss a minimum of two more games but could be cleared by Week 17 for fantasy managers who have their championships that week. Kareem Hunt (RB) Cleveland Browns – Hunt hurt his ankle early in Cleveland’s win and was unable to return. An MRI revealed no structural damage but Hunt isn’t expected to suit up this week against the Raiders. RB-needy fantasy managers should target D’Ernest Johnson on the waiver wire as a viable replacement. T.J. Hockenson (TE) Detroit Lions – Like teammate D’Andre Swift, Hockenson is listed as “day-to-day” with a hand injury. We’ll base Hockenson’s Week 15 availability on how much practice time he is able to participate in prior to Sunday morning. Tony Pollard (RB) Dallas Cowboys – Pollard missed Week 14 with a torn plantar fascia but is reportedly doing better and could return in Week 15. However, these types of foot injuries can be rather painful and prone to reoccur so it’s possible that Pollard will be limited, even if he’s activated. Fantasy managers might want to prepare to start other options, even if Pollard is cleared. Emmanuel Sanders (WR) Buffalo Bills – Sanders sprained his knee during Buffalo’s Week 14 loss in Tampa and won’t play in Week 15. Gabriel Davis, who led Buffalo’s receiving corps in fantasy points last week

Fantasy Football Injury Report Week 14 The fantasy football playoff season is now within reach. Nothing can ruin a contending roster quite like an untimely injury. Here are some of the key injuries for fantasy enthusiasts to be aware of heading into Week 14 of the 2021 NFL season. Elijah Mitchell (RB) San Francico 49ers – After another stellar 25-touch outing in Week 13, rookie sensation Elijah Mitchell entered the league’s concussion protocol on Monday. This means Mitchell is unlikely to practice much if at all ahead of Week 14 and there may be no definite clarity on his status until gametime. We’ll monitor this closely all week, but with Jeff Wilson (knee) also ailing, the 49ers could could be down to JaMycal Hasty to face the Bengals. Keenan Allen (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – On Monday, Allen was placed on the reserve/COVID list and will need to submit two negative tests 24 hours apart in order to be cleared to face the Giants. Adam Thielen (WR) Minnesota Vikings – Thielen suffered a high-ankle sprain and could be out of the lineup for multiple weeks. With the Vikings playing on Thursday this week, there is no chance Thielen will suit up. Fantasy managers should look for other option for at lest the next two weeks and hope Thielen can be back to full health in time for the fantasy finals. Minnesots RB Dalvin Cook is also expected to miss this week with his banged up shoulder. D’Andre Swift (RB) Detroit Lions – Dan Campbell’s last comments implied that Swift might only miss one game, which means the star running back could be back in time for this week’s trip to Denver. Swift will need to get in a couple of practice sessions before he’s cleared, so we’ll keep an eye on Detroit’s backfield all week. Deebo Samuel (WR) San Francisco 49ers – A groin injury kept Samuel out of San Francisco’s loss in Seattle last week. Early reports are the team is hopeful that Samuel will return this week but the original diagnosis was a 2-3 week recovery time. We consider Samuel doubtful to suit up but his ability to participate, or not participate in practice this week will be telling. We’ll keep an eye on Samuel’s status all week and update our projections and the Discord channel as news breaks. Julio Jones (WR) Tennessee Titans – The Titans designated Jones to return from IR, opening up a three-week window for the veteran wideout to be activated on game day. Jones practiced on Monday after missing four weeks with a hamstring injury. If Jones is cleared to play in Week 14, he’d be on the WR3 radar in a tasty matchup against Jacksonville. Damien Harris (RB) New England Patriots – Harris was off to a brilliant start on Monday, running for 111 yards and a touchdown before exiting the game in the second quarter with a hamstring injury and not returning. Hamstring injuries are notorious for reoccurring when not given proper time off to fully heal, so New England’s Week 14 bye comes at the perfect time for Harris. Joe Burrow (QB) Cincinnati Bengals – Burrow dislocated his pinkie on his right hand but was able to finish the game in some pain. As of now, Burrow is expected to be able to play through the injury but it could take some zip off the ball or reoccur. As long as he starts, we’re not downgrading Burrow as of yet. Jalen Hurts (QB) Philadelphia Eagles – While the absence of Hurts in Week 13 did leave for another memorable episode of Minshew Mania, starring Garnder “Maverick” Minshew, Hurts is expected to be back under center when the Eagles return to action in Week 15. Darren Waller (TE) Las Vegas Raiders – Waller was upgraded to day-to-day with a knee injury that caused him to sit last week. Still, the Raiders have a capable backup and would be wise to let their star tight end get close to 100% rather than putting him back out there with the risk of reinjury. We’ll monitor Waller’s practice habits all week but would lead towards expecting him to sit this week. Logan Thomas (TE) Washington Football Team – Thomas finally returned to the lineup just to hurt his knee in Week 13. Although the initial diagnosis of a torn ACL/MCL was incorrect, the Football Team is still seeking further tests to confirm the severity of Thomas’s injury. At this point, it’s almost certainly a fantasy season-ending injury. Daniel Jones (QB) New York Giants – Both Jones and Mike Glennon are not expected to play this week, which puts Jake Fromm in-line to make his first NFL start in Los Angeles. Fade the Giants this week. Justin Fields (QB) Chicago Bears – Fields has already missed two starts with a rib injury and could be closer to suiting up. However, it’s a pain management issue for the rookie signal-caller and the Bears aren’t expected to rush Fields back when Andy Dalton is available. Consider Fields 50/50 at best for Week 14. Corey Davis (WR) New York Jets – Davis aggravated a groin injury that has been troublesome for over a month and will have season-ending surgery. David Njoku (TE) Cleveland Browns – On Tuesday the Browns placed Njoku on the reserve/COVID list. This puts Njoku’s Week 14 availability in doubt. If vaccinated, Njoku would have to have two negative tests 24-hours apart before Sunday. If he’s held out, expect more targets for Austin Hooper in an excellent spot against a Baltimore defense allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends. Fantasy Football Injury Report

Week 12 is always a special week on the annual calendar, with a terrific Thursday full of food, family, friends, and football. Unfortunately, 2021’s festivities were marred by a brutal week for injuries that will undoubtedly shake up the NFL and fantasy football landscape. Here are some of the major injuries from Week 12 that fantasy football managers need to be aware of. Christian McCaffrey (RB) Carolina Panthers – Yet another injury felled McCaffrey, who did not touch the ball in the second half of Carolina’s Week 12 loss after hurting his ankle. McCaffrey was seen in a walking boot after the game and word quickly came Monday that McCaffrey’s 2021 season was over. With two years now impacted by major injuries, CMC is no longer the undisputed RB1 in dynasty leagues. For proactive 2021 fantasy managers, Chuba Hubbard now becomes a priority waiver add on the odd chance the rookie is available in your league. Hubbard averaged 12.9 PPR points per game from Weeks 3-8. Dalvin Cook (RB) Minnesota Vikings – Standout Minnesota RB Dalvin Cook tore his labrum and suffered a separated shoulder in the Vikings’ Week 12 loss and is due to miss multiple weeks. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Vikings hold Cook out if/when the club is eliminated from the NFC wild-card chase. For now, fantasy managers should probably expect to not have Cook for at least 2-3 weeks. Alexander Mattison now becomes a potential championship-winning difference-maker down the stretch. Deebo Samuel (WR) San Francisco 49ers – Samuel exited San Francisco’s Week 12 victory after injuring his going and is expected to miss at least one game. With the 49ers right back in the playoff mix, they’ll undoubtedly want their star playmaker back as soon as possible but won’t rush Samuel back until the injury is 100%. For now, the best-case scenario seems to hope that Samuel is back in time for the fantasy playoffs, which are now just three weeks away. Alvin Kamara (RB) New Orleans Saints – Listed as questionable with a knee injury that has sidelined him for two games, Kamara was a limited participant in practice but is tentatively expected to return against Dallas on Thursday. Teammate Mark Ingram, who also missed Week 12, was a full participant and will return Week 13. D’Andre Swift (RB) Detroit Lions – Swift was knocked out of Detroit’s Thanksgiving loss early with a shoulder injury and has very little chance of playing in Week 13. We fully expect Jamaal Williams to start and receive a heavy workload at home against Minnesota. Ezekiel Elliott (RB) Dallas Cowboys – Even though Elliott practiced in full on Monday, there is a chance the Cowboys will hold their star running back out this week as they try to work around a minor knee ailment. The current plan is for Tony Pollard to take on more work on a weekly basis but if the club decides to sit Elliott against the Saints, Pollard would be a locked-in RB1. We’ll have a better idea of how the Cowboys’ backfield will shape up on Wednesday. CeeDee Lamb (WR) Dallas Cowboys – Lamb (concussion) was a full participant in practice Monday and will be active for the Cowboys Thursday night battle with New Orleans. Darrell Henderson (RB) Los Angeles Rams – Henderson strained his quad during the Rams Week 12 loss and may be limited throughout the week. The Rams are reeling but a Week 13 date with Jacksonville should right the ship. If Henderson is unable to practice or is ruled out, Sony Michel would be a solid RB2 in Week 13. We’ll monitor Henderson’s health this week and update projections and Discord. Darren Waller (TE) Las Vegas Raiders – Waller hurt his knee in Dallas and is listed as week-to-week. Current expectations are that Waller will miss at least one game, which makes Foster Moreau an intriguing waiver wire add for a matchup with Washington’s leaky secondary. Logan Thomas (TE) Washington Football Team – After a 7-week absence, Thomas returned on Monday and played 79% of Washington’s snaps. There were no setbacks with the hamstring, so Thomas is now a borderline weekly TE1 moving forward. J.D. McKissic (RB) Washington Football Team – After taking a knee to the helmet, McKissic was carted to the locker room in the waning moments of Washington’s Monday night victory. McKissic will almost certainly be in the league’s concussion protocol this week and have to clear multiple steps before being activated, even though his agent tweeted that McKissic was “all good” after the game. Pat Friermuth (TE) Pittsburgh Steelers – Friermuth left Pittsburgh’s blowout loss in Cincinnati with a possible concussion. We’ll monitor Friermuth’s status ahead of Week 13. Randall Cobb (WR) Green Bay Packers – Cobb was having his best game of the season before suffering a groin injury in the second quarter and being ruled out after halftime. Groin injuries have a tendency to reoccur when not given proper time off to heal, so expect Cobb to be sidelined for some time. The Packers are on bye in Week 13, which could help in the recovery timeline. Will Fuller (WR) Miami Dolphins – Still on IR with a broken finger, the oft-injured Fuller will not be activated this week for the Dolphins. Limited to just 65 snaps in two games, Fuller can be dropped from all redraft rosters that may have been holding out hope that December would help make up for a lost 2021 campaign. Curtis Samuel (WR) Washington Football Team – A groin injury has derailed Samuel’s first season in Washington, but the slot receiver returned in Week 12, playing 12 snaps and suffering no setbacks. The club will likely continue to monitor his snap counts but Samuel should see a bigger workload in Las Vegas. Dan Arnold (TE) Jacksonville Jaguars – Arnold sprained his MCL and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. This effectively ends Arnold’s 2021 fantasy season, so redraft fantasy managers can feel free to cut him from their rosters. James O’Shaughnessy will replace Arnold in Jacksonville’s lineup but offers precious little fantasy upside for
Fantasy Football Injury Report

Injuries are an unfortunate part of the game and the longer the season goes on, the more impactful those ailments tend to be. With the fantasy playoffs now within sight, it’s as important as ever to stay informed about injuries and to know how to respond. Here are the fantasy-relevant injuries to know about as we get ready to move ahead into Week 11. Week 11 NFL Byes: Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Rams Aaron Jones (RB) Green Bay Packers – Fantasy manager can breathe a sigh of relief. An MRI revealed Jones suffered a “mild” MCL sprain and may only miss a game or two. That means Jones should be back and ready to go for the fantasy playoffs. It also means that A.J. Dillon has top-10 upside in the next week or two and should be inserted into lineups or considered the No. 1 waiver wire priority where available. Alvin Kamara (RB) New Orleans Saints – There hasn’t been much of an update on Kamara’s knee. The injury isn’t considered serious but we should find out more this week if Kamara is able to participate in practice. We’ll have updates as the week progresses. DeAndre Hopkins (WR) Arizona Cardinals – Nuk has now missed two games with a hamstring injury and should be considered very questionable to face the Seahawks. With Arizona holding a Week 12 bye, it might make sense for the Cardinals to hold Hopkins out gain, essentially giving him a month off to get 100% for the playoff push. Saquon Barkley (RB) New York Giants – Giants’ beat writers reported Barkley looked good in practice on Monday and the expectation is that Barkley will be activated ahead of New York’s trip to Tampa Bay. He could be eased back in but once activated, Barkley offers RB1 upside, even in a tough matchup with the Buccaneers’ outstanding run defense. Cordarrelle Patterson (RB) Atlanta Falcons – Patterson was limited to just 15 snaps last week before exiting the game with a sprained ankle. With the Falcons looking at a quick turnaround and hosting New England on Thursday, there is almost zero chance Patterson will play in Week 11. Damien Harris (RB) New England Patriots – Harris still hasn’t cleared the league’s concussion protocol, which is a worrying sign for his overall health. After sitting out Week 10, teammate Rhamondre Stevenson rumbled for 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Harris was still sidelined on the Monday after New England’s victory. After Stevenson’s performance, it wouldn’t be a surprise at all to see the rookie take carries away from Harris, assuming Harris is cleared ahead of Week 11. We’ll keep an eye on this backfield throughout the week and adjust projections accordingly. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB) Kansas City Chiefs – Sidelined since getting hurt in Week 5, CEH is trending towards being activated ahead of Kansas City’s Week 11 showdown with Dallas. Even if he returns, Edwards-Helaire could find himself in an even timeshare with Darrel Williams, so approach this backfield with extreme caution until we see how the snaps are divided out. Chris Carson (RB) Seattle Seahawks – A neck injury has caused Caron to miss five games so far. Although Carson returned to limited practice last Wednesday, he was never close to being activated. If you’ve managed to stash Carson on IR this long, be prepared to do so for another week or two. Robert Woods (WR) Los Angeles Rams – Woods tore his ACL in practice Friday and will miss the remainder of the season. He can be dropped in all redraft leagues and having the injury occurred so late into the season could complicate Woods’s status heading into 2022 drafts. Dynasty managers should monitor his health all summer. Kyler Murray (QB) Arizona Cardinals – Kliff Kingsbury is erring on the side of caution with his franchise signal-caller. Murray “could” have played last week but Kingsbury held him back. We’ll keep an eye on this throughout the week and update in Discord when our Vegas insiders have the prognosis. Fantasy managers should make plans to be without Murray once again. Ben Roethlisberger (QB) Pittsburgh Steelers – Sidelined by COVID last week, Roethlisberger will need to test negative twice, 24 hours apart before being cleared for Pittsburgh’s Week 11 trip to face the Chargers. Big Ben reportedly was suffering symptoms and could be very questionable for this game. This is a situation to avoid altogether, as Roethlisberger has been a poor fantasy choice all season and would be a particularly lousy option at less than 100%. Latavius Murray (RB) Baltimore Ravens – The release of Le’Veon Bell indicates that Murray is likely about to return from an ankle injury that has cost him three games. Murray should take over as the main runner but also could be in a virtual 50/50 split with Devonta Freeman. Cole Beasley (WR) Buffalo Bills – Beasley is dealing with a rib injury that has slowed him down over the past couple of weeks. Beasley was limited to just nine snaps in Buffalo’s blowout win in New York. The outcome of that game was never in doubt, which may have led to Beasley’s limited action. We’ll monitor practice reports this week and adjust projections as news is updated. Jermar Jefferson (RB) Detroit Lions – Taking advantage of the absence of Jamaal Williams, Jefferson rushed for 41 yards and a score before being felled by an ankle injury. At this point, Jefferson is projected to miss multiple weeks and Williams is tentatively expected to return this week, so Jefferson can be dropped in redraft formats. Zach Wilson (QB) New York Jets – Wilson is still recovering from a sprained knee but early indications are that the No. 2 overall pick is in-line to get the start after Mike White‘s abysmal showing against Buffalo. Wilson will need to get in some full practices before he can face Miami, otherwise, Joe Flacco could be next man up. Fantasy Football Injury Report

We escaped what was a savage Week 9 without any major injuries but there were still enough minor ailments that fantasy football managers should take note of. There are also some key contributors who could be nearing a comeback and their status will need to be monitored all week. It’s hard to believe that we are now in double-digit weeks, but we must push forward. Here are the key injuries to be aware of ahead of Week 10 of the 2021 fantasy football season. Week 10 NFL byes: Chicago Bears, Cincinnati Bengals, Houston Texans, New York Giants Kyler Murray (QB) Arizona Cardinals – Murray (ankle) was close to playing last week but the Cardinals elected to proceed with caution. We’ll monitor Murray’s ankle this week but it seems like he should be good to go at home against the Panthers. We might see fewer runs, so expectations should be a bit tempered but as long as Murray is back under center he needs to be started in fantasy lineups. Aaron Rodgers (QB) Green Bay Packers – After the week Rodgers had, fantasy managers should likely proceed with caution. Rodgers missed last week on the reserve/COVID list and isn’t eligible to come off until Saturday. All expectations are that Rodgers will be under center for the Packers but it could be a bumpy week with a lack of practice reps, possibly physical limitations, and distractions from the media. Green Bay’s matchup is great at home versus Seattle, but it would be advisable to proceed with caution, here. Deandre Hopkins (WR) Arizona Cardinals – Still without a game with 90-plus receiving yards all season, the Cardinals rested their star wideout in Week9. Hopkins has been limited by a hamstring injury since Week 7 and the hope is that a full week off to rest will allow Hopkins to get closer to 100%. As long as he’s in the lineup, Nuk needs to be treated as a WR1, even against a solid Carolina secondary. Nick Chubb (RB) Cleveland Browns – Chubb and Demetric Felton both tested positive for COVID-19, leaving D’Ernest Johnson as the only healthy halfback in Cleveland. Since Chubb and Felton are reportedly both vaccinated, they could both still be eligible to play in Week 10 provided they test negative for the virus in consecutive days before Sunday. If Chubb ends up missing Week 10, fire up Johnson as an RB2 in New England. James Robinson (RB) Jacksonville Jaguars – After sitting out Week 9, Robinson is tentatively expected to be back in Jacksonville’s starting lineup in Indianapolis. Robinson took the field during warmups before Week 9 but was quickly ruled out. Provided there are no setbacks and Robinson is able to take his full workload, he’ll be a borderline RB1 against Indy’s shaky defense. Damien Harris (RB) New England Patriots – Harris suffered a head injury in the fourth quarter of New England’s Week 9 victory and did not return. Both Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson were forced from the game, but no details have emerged on the severity of their injuries or if they’re in the league’s protocol, which is unlikely. Chris Carson (RB) Seattle Seahawks – Carson (neck) hasn’t played since Week 4 but is expected to return to practice this week. Pete Carroll listed Carson as day-to-day but Carson will likely be very limited in practice or participate in a ‘no contact’ jersey. Consider Carson very questionable for this week’s trip to Green Bay, but he’s trending in the right direction. David Montgomery (RB) Chicago Bears – It was a bit of a surprise to see Montgomery back on the field after missing a month. The Bears are on bye this week and could have been expected to rest their starting back another two weeks. However, Montgomery absorbed 15 of the club’s 19 RB touches in Monday’s loss and looked just fine. Expect that kind of usage moving forward, as Montgomery looked just fine. Allen Robinson (WR) Chicago Bears – A-Rob reportedly tweaked his hamstring late in Monday’s loss at Pittsburgh. Robinson has been largely invisible in Chicago’s ailing passing attack but started to show a little promise in the second half. We’ll update Robinson’s status in Discord. Corey Davis (WR) New York Jets – Before being felled by a hip injury in Week 7, Davis was averaging seven targets per game for the Jets. With all the positive game scripts the Jets will see, Davis can be a solid WR3/4 once he’s back on the field, which should be this week against the Bills. Latavius Murray (RB) Baltimore Ravens – Murray hasn’t suited up since hurting his ankle in Week 6. With the Ravens traveling to Miami to face a desolate Dolphins squad on short rest, there is likely little chance that Murray will suit up this week. Expect the Ravens to stick with a rotation led by Devonta Freeman with Le’Veon Bell also sprinkled in. Sam Darnold (QB) Carolina Panthers – Darnold has been dealing with a shoulder injury and concussion and has looked awful for a month. Last week was rock bottom for Darnold, who tossed three interceptions and hasn’t thrown for a touchdown since Week 6. Don’t expect things to get much better for the Panthers in Week 10, traveling to Arizona to face the 8-1 Cardinals. Carolina would be better off sitting Darnold at this point for P.J. Walker and fantasy managers would be advised to steer clear, even in Superflex formats. Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Miami Dolphins – A surprising finger injury popped up and kept Tagovailoa out of Miami’s Week 9 victory over Houston. The Dolphins turn around on short rest and host Baltimore on Thursday, so there’s not much time for the second-year signal-caller to get right. However, Tua was able to participate in walkthroughs on Monday. Still, a limited quarterback on short rest isn’t exactly a safe bet, so Tagovailoa should only be considered in Superflex leagues if he’s cleared to play in Week 10. Zach Wilson (QB) New York Jets – Robert Saleh indicated that Wilson (knee) would not return to the lineup until
Fantasy Football Injury Report

Injuries are an unfortunate part of the game and their impact can destroy a well-constructed fantasy football roster in a hurry. Fortunately, unless you’re in a best-ball league, fantasy managers have the chance to hit the waiver wire and overcome untimely injuries. Let’s break down the fantasy-relevant injuries ahead of Week 9 and how fantasy managers can forge ahead. Week 9 NFL byes: Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington Football Team Derrick Henry (RB) Tennessee Titans – The biggest injury of the season, Henry is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season with a broken bone in his foot. Henry suffered the injury early in Week 8 and toughed through it but an MRI revealed surgery would be necessary and put the league’s best running back on the shelf indefinitely. Obviously a devastating blow, the Titans quickly signed Adrian Peterson to take some of the early-down work and Jeremy McNichols is now a legitimate RB3/flex option in PPR formats. In honor of King Henry, use promo code KING30 for 30% off FULLTIME FANTASY MEMBERSHIP!! Christian McCaffrey (RB) Carolina Panthers – Out since hurting his hamstring back in Week 3, McCaffrey is eligible to come off of IR this week and Matt Rhule has expressed optimism that CMC will be able to suit up against the Patriots. More likely, they’ll err on the side of caution and bring back McCaffrey in Week 10 but we’ll update this situation later this week in Discord. Dak Prescott (QB) Dallas Cowboys – As last week progressed, Prescott’s status became more cloudy until he was ultimately ruled out of the Cowboys’ Week 8 victory against Minnesota. Now working on close to three full weeks of rest, Prescott is considered more likely to play in Week 9 but we’ll keep an eye on his health as his practice reps are ramped up later on this week. Deebo Samuel (WR) San Francisco 49ers – Samuel had a calf injury in Chicago and is expected to be limited throughout the week in practice. As of now, the calf injury isn’t considered serious or anticipated to be an issue for Samuel’s Week 9 availability against the Cardinals. Elijah Mitchell (RB) San Francisco 49ers – Samuel’s teammate Elijah Mitchell dinged his ribs in Week 8 and could also be limited in practice. The rib ailment shouldn’t keep Mitchell out Week 9, so expect a full workload against Arizona. The Niners also activated Jeff Wilson (knee) off IR and Wilson could be cleared to join the San Francisco backfield in the next three weeks. Taysom Hill (QB) New Orleans Saints – Hill is still in the league’s concussion protocol but is tentatively expected to be ready this week. And the Saints will need him after Jameis Winston was lost for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. Hill offers elite rushing upside, which makes him an awfully intriguing weekly option once he’s cleared to return. Hopefully, that will be this week, otherwise, Trevor Siemian will get the starting nod. Sterling Shepard (WR) New York Giants – After sitting out Week 7 with a hamstring injury, Shepard played into the second quarter Monday before suffering a non-contact quad injury. Shepard was quickly ruled out and is looking like he’ll miss at least one game. Even if he’s able to suit up, a hobbled Shepard won’t be a recommended fantasy option against the Raiders’ dynamic cornerback duo. Teammate Kadarius Toney also returned only to injure his thumb late. Toney was able to return to the game but we’ll monitor his status ahead of Week 9. Dawson Knox (TE) Buffalo Bills – Out since breaking a bone in his hand Week 6, Knox is considered day-to-day and could start practicing in full this week. Once he’s cleared to play, Knox returns to TE1 status. T.Y. Hilton (WR) Indianapolis Colts – The Colts host the Jets on Thursday, which puts Hilton’s status in serious doubt. Hilton missed Week 9 with a concussion and six of the first eight weeks of the season with neck and quad injuries. He can no longer be counted on as anything other than a desperation play at this point unless the Colts are playing the Texans like they will again in Week 13. Zach Wilson (QB) New York Jets – Wilson (knee) will return to practice this week after missing Week 8, but considering Mike White just completed over 82% of his passes and surpassed 400 passing yards, the Jets won’t rush the No. 2 overall pick back until he’s close to 100%. Expect White to nab his second start in Week 9, especially on a short rest week. WR Corey Davis (hip) is also looking questionable after missing last week. Tyrod Taylor (QB) Houston Texans – Close to playing last week, Taylor ramp up practice reps this week in anticipation of facing the Dolphins. However, Houston has a bye in Week 10 so it might make more sense for the club to give Taylor another week off to be 100% as the Texans look to close out a lost season. Jalen Reagor (WR) Philadelphia Eagles – Reagor, who has topped 50 yards just once all season, was carted off the field in Detroit and could miss some time. He’s only topped three targets in a game once since Week 3, so there’s little reason for redraft fantasy managers to hold onto Reagor at this point. Allen Lazard (WR) Green Bay Packers – After sitting out Week 8 on the reserve/COVID list, Lazard had been activated and will be back in the lineup this week in Kansas City. No. 1 WR Davante Adams (reserve/COVID) should also return Week 9. Tutu Atwell (WR) Los Angeles Rams – On the field for all of 10 offensive snaps this season, Atwell’s rookie campaign is over after suffering a serious shoulder injury in Houston. Atwell’s first season will end with zero targets and one fumble. Chris Boswell (PK) Pittsburgh Steelers – Pittsburgh’s long-time kicker was hurt on a blatant late hit that should have drawn a flag on a fake field goal attempt. Boswell’s absence left the Steelers

Let’s break down the fantasy-relevant injuries ahead of Week 8 and how fantasy managers can forge ahead. Week 8 byes: Baltimore Ravens, Las Vegas Raiders Dak Prescott (QB) Dallas Cowboys – According to Prescott, he could have kept playing on the calf injury he suffered in Dallas’ overtime win in Week 6. With a full bye week off to heal, the injury isn’t expected to hinder Prescott at all for the Cowboys’ Week 8 trip to Minnesota. Davante Adams (WR) Green Bay Packers – Not an injury, per se, but Adam was placed on the reserve/COVID list and is highly doubtful for Week 8 due to the short turnaround. Tuesday, Allen Lazard was also placed on the same list, leaving Green Bay dangerously thin at wide receiver and precious little time to add reinforcements. It’s possible Marquez Valdes-Scantling (IR) can be activated ahead of time but for now, plan on Randall Cobb, Amari Rogers, and Equanimeous St. Brown being the Packers’ main pass-catching options. DeAndre Hopkins (WR) Arizona Cardinals – Nuk injured his hamstring during Arizona’s Week 7 win against Houston and exited the game. He’s expected to be in the lineup on Thursday but is unlikely to practice much this week. As long as he’s active, fire up Hopkins as a WR1 in what shapes up to be the rare exciting Thursday Night matchup. Nick Chubb (RB) Cleveland Browns – After missing two games with a calf injury, Nick Chubb is tentatively expected to be back in the lineup this week as the Browns host the Steelers. As long as there are no setbacks, Chubb will be an RB1 but should cede passing-down work to Week 7 waiver wire hero D’Ernest Johnson. Saquon Barkley (RB) New York Giants – Barkley never came particularly close to practicing last week and will need to get multiple practices in before he’s cleared to return from his ankle injury. If Barkley has not returned to practice by Thursday, that’s a pretty good indicator that he’ll miss this week’s trip to Kansas City. Miles Sanders (RB) Philadelphia Eagles – Sanders was carted off the field after hurting his ankle in the first half of Philadelphia’s Week 7 loss. We’re still awaiting MRI results but Sanders is expected to be sidelined for multiple weeks, which makes Kenneth Gainwell a priority waiver wire target. Julio Jones (WR) Tennessee Titans – Jones managed to survive Week 8 without any setbacks on his injured hamstring. In Tennessee’s blowout win, Jones managed to play 42.6% of the team’s offensive snaps. As long as there are no tweaks in practice this week, Jones will be on the WR3 radar this week in Indianapolis. Sterling Shepard (WR) New York Giants – Questionable all week, Shepard tried to practice in pre-game workouts but was quickly precluded from the lineup. Another week of rest should make it more likely that Shepard’s hamstring will heal enough for Shepard to return in Week 8. Teammate Kenny Golladay (knee) is considered less likely to play but is worth monitoring all week. DeVante Parker (WR) Miami Dolphins – Out since hurting his hamstring in Week 4, Parker remains questionable ahead of this week’s unappealing trip to Buffalo. Even if he’s active, Parker is no more than a WR4 against a stout Bills’ secondary. Baker Mayfield (QB) Cleveland Browns – Mayfield also missed Week 7 and is considered highly questionable for Week 8 with a banged-up non-throwing shoulder. Even if Mayfield is active, he would not be a recommended fantasy option at less than 100% health playing against a Pittsburgh defense that has done a good job holding Mayfield in check for most of his career. Zach Wilson (QB) New York Jets – The draft’s No. 2 overall pick sprained his MCL and is expected to miss the next 2-4 weeks. New York’s offense was already struggling and Wilson’s absence will only exasperate those issues. The Jets traded for Joe Flacco and also have Mike White, who relieved Wilson in Week 7’s blowout loss. There’s little reason to start any Jets at this point. Trey Lance (QB) San Francisco 49ers – Lance sat out last week with a knee injury but is expected to return to practice ahead of Week 8. Jimmy Garoppolo struggled last week but has been named the club’s Week 8 starter. Expect the veteran to have a short hook, with Lance possibly factoring in as a gadget/short-yardage weapon. It’s probably only a matter of time before Lance is named San Francisco’s starter, making him an intriguing free-agent add. Tyrod Taylor (QB) Houston Texans – Out since hurting his hamstring in Week 2, Taylor should resume practice the week and will reclaim Houston’s starting job as soon as this week. Taylor will be a big upgrade for all of Houston’s skill position players and can be a solid option in Superflex leagues. Malcolm Brown (RB) Miami Dolphins – Brown started Week 7 but was forced from the game after five snaps with a quad injury. Brown had minimal fantasy value already but is now expected to miss multiple weeks. He can be cut in nearly all formats. Dyami Brown (WR) Washington Football Team – Brown suffered a knee injury last week and is expected to be sidelined for at least one week. Brown is well off the fantasy radar. Will Lutz (PK) New Orleans Saints – Generally one of the league’s better kickers, Lutz never recovered from a groin injury that caused him to open the season on IR. Even though he was activated from that list, Lutz tweeted that he’ll miss the rest of the season. The 2021 NFL season is well underway but it’s not too late to get access to the best help out there!
