Fantasy Football Injury Report

The stakes are never bigger than the final week of the season, where champions are determined. In no other week is it more imperative to stay informed of all fantasy-relevant injuries and the ongoing pandemic only increases that importance. Here are all the injuries and reserve/COVID players who could impact Week 17. Good luck bringing home the title! Antonio Brown (WR) Tampa Bay Bucs – Now dealing with an ankle injury and could miss the game. Evans should suit up to pair with Gronk and Tyler Johnson as Brady’s top targets. Perriman (recently removed from C19 list) has a chance to be involved as well. Dalvin Cook (RB) Minnesota Vikings – Cook missed last week due to testing positive for COVID but has already been activated. Cook almost certainly has to be inserted into fantasy lineups but fantasy managers burned by several underperforming players that returned last week should lower expectations for Week 17. Lamar Jackson (QB) Baltimore Ravens – Jackson returned to practice Wednesday but showcased a noticeable limp and was limited. The Ravens would undoubtedly like to have their franchise singal-caller back to hold onto their waning playoff odds but considering how well Tyer Huntley has played, are unlikely to rush Jackson back until they’re confident he’s close to fully healthy. Update: Didn’t practice Thursday. Huntley trending towards starting. Adam Thielen (WR) Minnesota Vikings – Based on Thielen’s reaction after he was tackled near the goal line, we weren’t expecting good news. Thielen ended up having season-ending ankle surgery on Tuesday and can safely be dropped from redraft rosters. Elijah Mitchell (RB) San Francisco 49ers – After being sidelined for three games, Mitchell was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, which bodes well for his potential Week 17 availability. We’ll monitor the rookie’s status and update it in the Discord channel. D’Andre Swift (RB) Detroit Lions – According to head coach Dan Campbell, Swift is expected to play in Seattle after missing four games with a shoulder injury. Swift would likely split time with Jamaal Williams and Craig Reynolds but has enough PPR upside to be an immediate RB2 if he’s activated. Darrel Henderson (RB) Los Angeles Rams – Henderson sprained his MCL and has been placed on Injured Reserve. Henderson could return for the playoffs but the injury ends his 2021 fantasy season. Cam Akers (RB) Los Angeles Rams –With Darrell Henderson’s regular season over, Akers could be on the field this week after being activated last week. If Akers is even able to jog onto the field, it would be a miraculous and unprecedented return from a torn Achilles in only five months. James Conner (RB) Arizona Cardinals – A heel injury ultimately kept Conner out of Week 16 and has kept the breakout back on the sidelines in practice so far this week. If Conner is able to play, he’ll wind up splitting snaps with Chase Edmonds. Miles Sanders (RB) Philadelphia Eagles – Sanders broke his hand last week and will not play in Week 17, at a minimum. Expect the Eagles to go with a rotation of Jordan Howard, Boston Scott, and Kenneth Gainwell this week in Washington. Howard himself is dealing with a shoulder injury, so his absence would put Scott into RB3 territory. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB) Kansas City Chiefs – A collarbone injury is fully expected to keep Edwards-Helaire out this week. Darrel Williams should lead Kansas City’s backfield and has RB1 upside against Cincinnati. Elijah Moore (WR) New York Jets – (NOW OUT) Moore has missed three games with a quad injury and is considered very questionable to suit up this week against the Bucs. We’ll update his practice participation in Discord throughout the week. Teammate Jamison Crowder is also dealing with a calf injury and is considered 50/50 at best. Jimmy Garoppolo (QB) San Francisco 49ers – Trey Lance is in line to potentially start for the Niners this week as Garoppolo is dealing with a Grade 3 sprain to the thumb on his throwing hand. Garoppolo is going to try to practice this week and see if he can still make the start but could be limited or a risk to re-injure the thumb at any point. It’s a superb matchup for San Francisco, facing a moribund Houston defense, so whoever starts is certainly on the fantasy radar, particularly Lance, who would have top-10 upside. Rondale Moore (WR) Arizona Cardinals – A knee injury that kept Moore sidelined last week is still keeping the rookie wideout out of practice. Moore hasn’t done much since the Week 12 bye even after the loss of DeAndre Hopkins, so he’s not a player fantasy managers should be relying on, even if he’s active. Jack Doyle (TE) Indianapolis Colts – Doyle was limited to a pair of snaps last week after aggravating a pair of leg injuries. Doyle has little fantasy value as it is but if he’s ruled out, Mo Alie-Cox would become an interesting streaming option against a Raiders’ defense that has been terrible against tight ends all season. Curtis Samuel (WR) Washington Football Team – Limited to just nine targets and 84 snaps all season, Samuel is highly likely to miss another game with a hamstring injury. Samuel’s first season since signing a free-agent deal to join Washington was a total bust. Kadarius Toney (WR) New York Giants – Numerous ailments have impacted Toney’s rookie season and he’s now dealing with a shoulder injury that could keep him out of Week 17. With Daniel Jones on IR, there’s simply no reason to put Toney into any lineups at this point, even if he’s able to suit up in the fantasy finale. Jared Goff is doubtful to play. Tim Boyle will get the nod, who found Amon-Ra St. Brown 9 times last week. Marlon Mack and Laviska Shenault both activated from C19 list. Players on the Reserve/COVID list Kirk Cousins (QB) Minnesota Vikings Antonio Gibson (RB) Washington Football Team – Jarrett Patterson has a chance to be an every down back in this game. Darren Waller (TE) Las Vegas Raiders Mike Evans (WR) Tampa Bay Buccaneers Carson Wentz (QB) Indianapolis Colts Julio Jones (WR) Tennessee
Fantasy Football Injury Report

As if Week 15 wasn’t bad enough, a slew of big injuries and the continuing pandemic has shaken up the fantasy landscape just in time for the semi-finals. Now, more than ever, it’s imperative to stay informed on the impact of the fantasy-relevant injuries that are plaguing fantasy football rosters. Here is what you should know ahead of Week 16. Chris Godwin (WR) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (OUT) – The biggest blow to emerge from the worst of all weeks was Godwin’s torn ACL, which will end his 2021 season. Godwin was hit low and had his right knee bend awkwardly. The initial diagnosis was an MCL but further reviews showed more extensive damage. The Bucs were hit hard in Week 15 and will have to regroup down their three most-targeted players. Mike Evans (WR) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (OUT) – Around the same time the Bucs lost Godwin, Evans hurt his hamstring on a catch and was quickly ruled out. The injury isn’t considered serious but expectations are that Bruce Arians will keep Evans out for at least 1-2 weeks. Antonio Brown is now poised to be Tampa’s top wideout and offers WR1 upside here in the final two weeks. Leonard Fournette (RB) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (OUT) – As if losing their top-2 wideouts wasn’t enough of a blow, Sunday night also cost Tampa Bay their top running back. Together, that trio accounted for 50% of the Bucanneers’ targets. Fournette alone was leading all running backs with 84 targets and is expected to be sidelined for a minimum of two weeks. Ronald Jones will now take over as the club’s main runner, with Ke’Shawn Vaughn mixing in on passing downs. D’Andre Swift (RB) Detroit Lions – Swift has now missed three games with a shoulder injury and never came particularly close to playing last week. There has been some speculations that Swift could miss the remainder of the season but Detroit’s hesitancy to place their star running back on IR leaves room for some optimism that he could return this week or possibly Week 17. Joe Mixon (RB) Cincinnati Bengals – An ankle sprain cost Mixon most of the second half of Cincinnati’s Week 15 victory in Denver but the initial diagnosis doesn’t seem to throw up too many red flags. Consider Mixon on the plus side of questionable ahead of this week’s showdown with Baltimore. Adding Samaje Perine off the waiver wire would be wise. A.J. Brown (WR) Tennessee Titans – Out since Week 12 with a chest injury, Brown has been cleared to return from IR and is eligible to practice this week. As long as there are no setbacks, the Titans should have Brown back in the lineup, which would be perfect timing after losing Julio Jones again last week. Lamar Jackson (QB) Baltimore Ravens – Jackson missed the first game of his career due to injury but was considered close to playing last week. Even though Tyler Huntley fared extremely well, Jackson should be back under center this week for the Ravens, who desperately need to end a losing skid in a key matchup in Cleveland. Elijah Mitchell (RB) San Francisco 49ers (OUT) – Mitchell cleared the league’s concussion protocol but is expected to be a game-time decision with a knee ailment. San Francisco travels to Tennessee on Thursday, so we will be able to update Mitchell’s status in Discord. Pat Freiermuth (TE) Pittsburgh Steelers – Muth suffered his second concussion of the season and could be in real danger of being sidelined for at least one week. We’ll update his availability in Discord, but fantasy managers would be wise to look for other options. Adam Thielen (WR) Minnesota Vikings – Thielen worked out prior to Monday night but was unable to suit up in Minnesota’s win. He’s getting closer to returning from a high-ankle sprain, but a tough home date with the Rams this week makes him a risky fantasy proposition. Julio Jones (WR) Tennessee Titans – Jones re-aggravated the same hamstring injury that has cost him a significant portion of the 2021 campaign. We’d expect Jones to be shut down for multiple weeks at this point, as the only way to combat hamstring injuries is total rest. Update: It’s looking like they will give him a try in week 16. Kareem Hunt (RB) Cleveland Browns – In addition to dealing with an ankle ailment, Hunt was added to the reserve/COVID list ahead of Tuesday’s Week 15 game. Hunt is looking very doubtful to return in Week 16. Teddy Bridgewater (QB) Denver Broncos – Denver’s starting quarterback suffered a scary-looking head injury and was carted off the field to a local hospital. Bridgewater was diagnosed with a concussion and is not expected to be available for Week 16. Drew Lock is expected to be under center. Rondale Moore (WR) Arizona Cardinals – Moore is listed as day-to-day with an ankle injury. We’ll keep an eye on his practice participation all week. Emmanuel Sanders (WR) Buffalo Bills – Sanders (ankle) missed Week 15 and was originally expected to be a candidate to be out multiple games. That puts his Week 16 status in doubt. A matchup with the Patriots also doesn’t help, so don’t expect Sanders to be an option in fantasy lineups, active or not. Will Fuller (WR) Miami Dolphins – Another lost season for Fuller, who will not return from a finger injury that limited Fuller to four catches and 26 yards in a lost season. Daniel Jones (QB) New York Giants (OUT) – Head coach Joe Judge announced that the club will shut down Jones for the season with a neck injury. New York will now play out the rest of another lost season with Mike Glennon and Jake Fromm. Carlos Hyde (RB) Jacksonville Jaguars (OUT) – The Jags placed Hyde on season-ending IR with a concussion. Dare Ogunbowale will take over as the club’s No. 2 running back. J.D. McKissic (RB) Washington Football Team (OUT) – McKissic has now missed three games with a concussion and neck injury and was placed on IR. This will end his fantasy season, so McKissic can be dropped from all rosters. Sterling Shepard (WR) New York
Fantasy Football Injury Report

If you’re reading a fantasy football injury report ahead of Week 15, that means you made the playoffs. Congratulations on a successful season. Now, we must navigate a troubling dearth of injuries being worsened by the growing list of COVID cases running rampant. The timing is awful but there are things that fantasy managers can do to help their teams move on one more week. Here are the key fantasy-relevant injuries to be aware of in Week 15 Lamar Jackson (QB) Baltimore Ravens – Jackson was felled by an ankle injury early in the second quarter and carted off the field. Early diagnosis says Jackson, fortunately, did not suffer a high-ankle sprain and may not miss any time. However, if Jackson suits up, he could be physically limited which would be a severe blow to his fantasy upside. Jackson is the top rushing QB in the football but forced to rely on just his arm and Jackson is reduced to a middling QB2 facing a solid Green Bay secondary. Aaron Rodgers (QB) Green Bay Packers – Despite another brilliant outing against the team he owns, Rodgers reportedly had a setback with his toe and could be further limited moving forward. It was said that Rodgers could be sidelined at any time if his foot were to get stepped on. This is troubling but as long as Rodgers is active, he’s a locked-in QB1, but one that comes with quite a bit of risk. Josh Allen (QB) Buffalo Bills – After Buffalo’s overtime loss in Tampa, Allen addressed the media in a walking boot, which raised some big concerns. Tuesday, Allen’s injury was labeled a minor case of turf toe that isn’t expected to have any impact on this week’s must-win date with the fading Panthers. He might run less, but Allen is still a top-10 weekly option as long as he’s active. Austin Ekeler (RB) Los Angeles Chargers – Fantasy football’s overall RB2, Ekeler was limited by an ankle injury last week and held out of practice Monday. However, the Chargers play Thursday so the day off wasn’t unexpected, and by all indications from Brandon Staley, the injury isn’t expected to affect Ekeler’s Week 15 availability. DeAndre Hopkins (WR) Arizona Cardinals – Nuk is expected to undergo an MRI for a leg injury he sustained late in Arizona’s Monday night loss. We’ll update his status as results come in but it isn’t expected to be a serious injury. D’Andre Swift (RB) Detroit Lions – Swift (shoulder) is listed as day-to-day and could be cleared to return this week. If Swift is activated, he is on the RB1/2 line due to his receiving prowess, even if he is eased back into action. We’ll update Swift’s recovery progress this week in Discord. Terry McLaurin (WR) Washington Football Team – McLaurin banged his head on the turf and suffered a concussion in Week 14. McLaurin will have to clear the league’s concussion protocol before he’s able to be activated so we’ll keep an eye on his practice participation throughout the week. Elijah Mitchell (RB) San Francisco 49ers – Mitchell missed Week 14 with a knee injury and a concussion that he somehow managed to play through in Week 13. Neither setback is supposed to be considered serious, so if Mitchell is a full participant in practice by Friday, he’ll be a locked-in RB1 against Atlanta. Darrell Henderson (RB) Los Angeles Rams – On top of a quad injury that has sidelined him for two games, Henderson was placed on the reserve/COVID list. If vaccinated, Henderson could be cleared to suit up in Week 15 but the leg injury is another matter. For now, he’s looking very questionable. Darren Waller (RB) Las Vegas Raiders – Waller (knee) was not at practice on Tuesday, which puts his Week 15 availability very much in doubt. Backup Foster Moreau was also absent with an abdominal ailment. This looks like a situation to avoid Saturday. Chase Edmonds (RB) Arizona Cardinals – Edmonds was activated from IR last week but Kliff Kingsbury elected to keep him out of Monday’s loss. There’s a very good chance that Edmonds will return this week but as well as James Conner has performed as the feature back, it’s fair to wonder what kind of role Edmonds will have. Michael Carter (RB) New York Jets – Absent since suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 11, Carter is tentatively expected to be activated ahead of New York’s trip to Miami this week. Carter was playing extremely well before getting injured and his three-down ability would provide a much-needed boost to both the Jets and fantasy managers hoping to win in Round 1. Elijah Moore (WR) New York Jets – The rookie sensation was a surprise addition to the team’s short-term IR last week with a quad injury. Moore will miss a minimum of two more games but could be cleared by Week 17 for fantasy managers who have their championships that week. Kareem Hunt (RB) Cleveland Browns – Hunt hurt his ankle early in Cleveland’s win and was unable to return. An MRI revealed no structural damage but Hunt isn’t expected to suit up this week against the Raiders. RB-needy fantasy managers should target D’Ernest Johnson on the waiver wire as a viable replacement. T.J. Hockenson (TE) Detroit Lions – Like teammate D’Andre Swift, Hockenson is listed as “day-to-day” with a hand injury. We’ll base Hockenson’s Week 15 availability on how much practice time he is able to participate in prior to Sunday morning. Tony Pollard (RB) Dallas Cowboys – Pollard missed Week 14 with a torn plantar fascia but is reportedly doing better and could return in Week 15. However, these types of foot injuries can be rather painful and prone to reoccur so it’s possible that Pollard will be limited, even if he’s activated. Fantasy managers might want to prepare to start other options, even if Pollard is cleared. Emmanuel Sanders (WR) Buffalo Bills – Sanders sprained his knee during Buffalo’s Week 14 loss in Tampa and won’t play in Week 15. Gabriel Davis, who led Buffalo’s receiving corps in fantasy points last week
Fantasy Football Injury Report

Injuries are an unfortunate part of the game and the longer the season goes on, the more impactful those ailments tend to be. With the fantasy playoffs now within sight, it’s as important as ever to stay informed about injuries and to know how to respond. Week 12 also has a full three-game Thursday slate to complicate matters, plus a pair of powerful offenses on bye. Here are the key fantasy-relevant injuries to be aware of in Week 12. Week 12 NFL Byes: Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs Amari Cooper (WR) Dallas Cowboys – Cooper tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of Week 11 and has already been ruled out for the Cowboys’ Week 12 home game against the Raiders. Cooper should return to face New Orleans in Week 13. CeeDeel Lamb (WR) Dallas Cowboys – Dallas will also be without sophomore sensation CeeDee Lamb, who banged his head on the turf and is in the league’s concussion protocol. With precious little time to be cleared before Thursday, Lamb is looking very questionable, but if he was somehow cleared, would be a locked-in WR1. Alvin Kamara (RB) New Orleans Saints – A sprained MCL has cost Kamara the past two games and he was not on the practice field Monday. With the Saints hosting Buffalo on Thursday, there’s very little time for Kamara to get healthy ahead of Week 12. Consider the superstar running back very doubtful. A.J. Brown (WR) Tennessee Titans – Already limited by a previous knee injury, Brown added hand and chest injuries to his resume against Houston. None of these ailments are considered particularly severe, but they could continue to cap Brown’s upside. Michael Carter (RB) New York Jets – Carter was felled by the dreaded high-ankle sprain and should miss multiple weeks. The Jets will now resort to a committee of Tevin Coleman and Ty Johnson, who should have more value in PPR formats. Allen Robinson (WR) Chicago Bears – Robinson missed Week 11 with a hamstring injury and has precious little time to recover before Thursday’s early game. Even when healthy, A-Rob has been one of the biggest fantasy busts of the season, so there’s no reason to insert him into lineups, even if he’s somehow cleared to play this week. Saquon Barkley (RB) New York Giants – Playing for the first time since Week 5, Barkley emerged unscathed from New York’s Monday night loss in Tampa. In that game, Barkley played 36 (62%) snaps, accrued half of New York’s rushing attempts, and racked up a 16.7% target share. Barkley should be in the RB1 conversation for the remainder of the year. Kareem Hunt (RB) Cleveland Browns – Sidelined since Week 7, Hunt is rumored to be returning to practice this week, which would be a welcomed development for patient fantasy managers. Once activated, Hunt should quickly regain his weekly RB2/3 role in a Cleveland offense desperate for play-makers. Adam Trautman (TE) New Orleans Saints – Just when he finally scored after a month-long hot streak, Trautman sprained his MCL and will miss 4-6 weeks, all but ending his fantasy season. Nick Vannett should take over as the starter but has all of one target this season and is well off the fantasy radar. Elijah Mitchell (RB) San Francisco 49ers – Michell missed Week 11 with a busted finger but is listed as day-to-day. If he’s able to participate in a full practice this week, Mitchell should reclaim his starting role but might lose more work to Jeff Wilson. Cole Beasley (WR) Buffalo Bills – A rib injury has been limiting Beasley’s effectiveness and he was only able to play 57% of Buffalo’s snaps last week. Beasley has been held under double-digit fantasy points in back-to-back games and was limited in Monday’s practice. With a short turnaround for Thursday night’s game, fantasy managers should look for other options this week. Jarvis Landry (WR) Cleveland Browns – Landry played through the same knee injury that has hampered him all season but was on and off the field frequently. We’ll monitor Landry’s practice status throughout the week and adjust Week 12 projections accordingly. Justin Fields (QB) Chicago Bears – Fields was forced from Chicago’s Week 11 victory with injured ribs and replaced by Andy Dalton, who looked credible. Since the Bears open up Thursday’s slate by traveling to Detroit, Fields won’t play in Week 12, at minimum. Logan Thomas (TE) Washington Football Team – Sidelined since Week 4 with a hamstring ailment, Thomas is scheduled to return to practice this week and could be activated ahead of Monday’s game. Because of it being a Monday contest and possible rust even if he suits up, fantasy managers should look for other options in Week 12. Jordan Howard (RB) Philadelphia Eagles – A sprained knee knocked Howard out of Philadelphia’s Week 11 win and will cost the veteran rusher at least one game. With Miles Sanders back as the club’s main runner and Howard’s lack of pass-catching upside, there’s no reason for fantasy managers with tight rosters to hold onto Howard. Sterling Shepard (WR) New York Giants – Shepard was inactive Monday but was a limited participant in practice prior to that game. He’s trending towards returning to the lineup but can only be viewed as a fringe WR4 in a moribund New York passing “attack.” Jared Goff (QB) Detroit Lions – Detroit has their traditional early kickoff on Thanksgiving, so Goff is not expected to be active with his oblique injury. Tim Boyle is in-line to get the start, which is bad news overall for Detroit’s offense. Jamal Agnew (WR) Jacksonville Jaguars – Agnew injured his hip late in Jacksonville’s blowout loss to the 49ers and has been placed on season-ending IR. Fantasy Football Injury Report

We escaped what was a savage Week 9 without any major injuries but there were still enough minor ailments that fantasy football managers should take note of. There are also some key contributors who could be nearing a comeback and their status will need to be monitored all week. It’s hard to believe that we are now in double-digit weeks, but we must push forward. Here are the key injuries to be aware of ahead of Week 10 of the 2021 fantasy football season. Week 10 NFL byes: Chicago Bears, Cincinnati Bengals, Houston Texans, New York Giants Kyler Murray (QB) Arizona Cardinals – Murray (ankle) was close to playing last week but the Cardinals elected to proceed with caution. We’ll monitor Murray’s ankle this week but it seems like he should be good to go at home against the Panthers. We might see fewer runs, so expectations should be a bit tempered but as long as Murray is back under center he needs to be started in fantasy lineups. Aaron Rodgers (QB) Green Bay Packers – After the week Rodgers had, fantasy managers should likely proceed with caution. Rodgers missed last week on the reserve/COVID list and isn’t eligible to come off until Saturday. All expectations are that Rodgers will be under center for the Packers but it could be a bumpy week with a lack of practice reps, possibly physical limitations, and distractions from the media. Green Bay’s matchup is great at home versus Seattle, but it would be advisable to proceed with caution, here. Deandre Hopkins (WR) Arizona Cardinals – Still without a game with 90-plus receiving yards all season, the Cardinals rested their star wideout in Week9. Hopkins has been limited by a hamstring injury since Week 7 and the hope is that a full week off to rest will allow Hopkins to get closer to 100%. As long as he’s in the lineup, Nuk needs to be treated as a WR1, even against a solid Carolina secondary. Nick Chubb (RB) Cleveland Browns – Chubb and Demetric Felton both tested positive for COVID-19, leaving D’Ernest Johnson as the only healthy halfback in Cleveland. Since Chubb and Felton are reportedly both vaccinated, they could both still be eligible to play in Week 10 provided they test negative for the virus in consecutive days before Sunday. If Chubb ends up missing Week 10, fire up Johnson as an RB2 in New England. James Robinson (RB) Jacksonville Jaguars – After sitting out Week 9, Robinson is tentatively expected to be back in Jacksonville’s starting lineup in Indianapolis. Robinson took the field during warmups before Week 9 but was quickly ruled out. Provided there are no setbacks and Robinson is able to take his full workload, he’ll be a borderline RB1 against Indy’s shaky defense. Damien Harris (RB) New England Patriots – Harris suffered a head injury in the fourth quarter of New England’s Week 9 victory and did not return. Both Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson were forced from the game, but no details have emerged on the severity of their injuries or if they’re in the league’s protocol, which is unlikely. Chris Carson (RB) Seattle Seahawks – Carson (neck) hasn’t played since Week 4 but is expected to return to practice this week. Pete Carroll listed Carson as day-to-day but Carson will likely be very limited in practice or participate in a ‘no contact’ jersey. Consider Carson very questionable for this week’s trip to Green Bay, but he’s trending in the right direction. David Montgomery (RB) Chicago Bears – It was a bit of a surprise to see Montgomery back on the field after missing a month. The Bears are on bye this week and could have been expected to rest their starting back another two weeks. However, Montgomery absorbed 15 of the club’s 19 RB touches in Monday’s loss and looked just fine. Expect that kind of usage moving forward, as Montgomery looked just fine. Allen Robinson (WR) Chicago Bears – A-Rob reportedly tweaked his hamstring late in Monday’s loss at Pittsburgh. Robinson has been largely invisible in Chicago’s ailing passing attack but started to show a little promise in the second half. We’ll update Robinson’s status in Discord. Corey Davis (WR) New York Jets – Before being felled by a hip injury in Week 7, Davis was averaging seven targets per game for the Jets. With all the positive game scripts the Jets will see, Davis can be a solid WR3/4 once he’s back on the field, which should be this week against the Bills. Latavius Murray (RB) Baltimore Ravens – Murray hasn’t suited up since hurting his ankle in Week 6. With the Ravens traveling to Miami to face a desolate Dolphins squad on short rest, there is likely little chance that Murray will suit up this week. Expect the Ravens to stick with a rotation led by Devonta Freeman with Le’Veon Bell also sprinkled in. Sam Darnold (QB) Carolina Panthers – Darnold has been dealing with a shoulder injury and concussion and has looked awful for a month. Last week was rock bottom for Darnold, who tossed three interceptions and hasn’t thrown for a touchdown since Week 6. Don’t expect things to get much better for the Panthers in Week 10, traveling to Arizona to face the 8-1 Cardinals. Carolina would be better off sitting Darnold at this point for P.J. Walker and fantasy managers would be advised to steer clear, even in Superflex formats. Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Miami Dolphins – A surprising finger injury popped up and kept Tagovailoa out of Miami’s Week 9 victory over Houston. The Dolphins turn around on short rest and host Baltimore on Thursday, so there’s not much time for the second-year signal-caller to get right. However, Tua was able to participate in walkthroughs on Monday. Still, a limited quarterback on short rest isn’t exactly a safe bet, so Tagovailoa should only be considered in Superflex leagues if he’s cleared to play in Week 10. Zach Wilson (QB) New York Jets – Robert Saleh indicated that Wilson (knee) would not return to the lineup until
Fantasy Football Injury Report

Injuries are an unfortunate part of the game and their impact can destroy a well-constructed fantasy football roster in a hurry. Fortunately, unless you’re in a best-ball league, fantasy managers have the chance to hit the waiver wire and overcome untimely injuries. Let’s break down the fantasy-relevant injuries ahead of Week 9 and how fantasy managers can forge ahead. Week 9 NFL byes: Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington Football Team Derrick Henry (RB) Tennessee Titans – The biggest injury of the season, Henry is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season with a broken bone in his foot. Henry suffered the injury early in Week 8 and toughed through it but an MRI revealed surgery would be necessary and put the league’s best running back on the shelf indefinitely. Obviously a devastating blow, the Titans quickly signed Adrian Peterson to take some of the early-down work and Jeremy McNichols is now a legitimate RB3/flex option in PPR formats. In honor of King Henry, use promo code KING30 for 30% off FULLTIME FANTASY MEMBERSHIP!! Christian McCaffrey (RB) Carolina Panthers – Out since hurting his hamstring back in Week 3, McCaffrey is eligible to come off of IR this week and Matt Rhule has expressed optimism that CMC will be able to suit up against the Patriots. More likely, they’ll err on the side of caution and bring back McCaffrey in Week 10 but we’ll update this situation later this week in Discord. Dak Prescott (QB) Dallas Cowboys – As last week progressed, Prescott’s status became more cloudy until he was ultimately ruled out of the Cowboys’ Week 8 victory against Minnesota. Now working on close to three full weeks of rest, Prescott is considered more likely to play in Week 9 but we’ll keep an eye on his health as his practice reps are ramped up later on this week. Deebo Samuel (WR) San Francisco 49ers – Samuel had a calf injury in Chicago and is expected to be limited throughout the week in practice. As of now, the calf injury isn’t considered serious or anticipated to be an issue for Samuel’s Week 9 availability against the Cardinals. Elijah Mitchell (RB) San Francisco 49ers – Samuel’s teammate Elijah Mitchell dinged his ribs in Week 8 and could also be limited in practice. The rib ailment shouldn’t keep Mitchell out Week 9, so expect a full workload against Arizona. The Niners also activated Jeff Wilson (knee) off IR and Wilson could be cleared to join the San Francisco backfield in the next three weeks. Taysom Hill (QB) New Orleans Saints – Hill is still in the league’s concussion protocol but is tentatively expected to be ready this week. And the Saints will need him after Jameis Winston was lost for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. Hill offers elite rushing upside, which makes him an awfully intriguing weekly option once he’s cleared to return. Hopefully, that will be this week, otherwise, Trevor Siemian will get the starting nod. Sterling Shepard (WR) New York Giants – After sitting out Week 7 with a hamstring injury, Shepard played into the second quarter Monday before suffering a non-contact quad injury. Shepard was quickly ruled out and is looking like he’ll miss at least one game. Even if he’s able to suit up, a hobbled Shepard won’t be a recommended fantasy option against the Raiders’ dynamic cornerback duo. Teammate Kadarius Toney also returned only to injure his thumb late. Toney was able to return to the game but we’ll monitor his status ahead of Week 9. Dawson Knox (TE) Buffalo Bills – Out since breaking a bone in his hand Week 6, Knox is considered day-to-day and could start practicing in full this week. Once he’s cleared to play, Knox returns to TE1 status. T.Y. Hilton (WR) Indianapolis Colts – The Colts host the Jets on Thursday, which puts Hilton’s status in serious doubt. Hilton missed Week 9 with a concussion and six of the first eight weeks of the season with neck and quad injuries. He can no longer be counted on as anything other than a desperation play at this point unless the Colts are playing the Texans like they will again in Week 13. Zach Wilson (QB) New York Jets – Wilson (knee) will return to practice this week after missing Week 8, but considering Mike White just completed over 82% of his passes and surpassed 400 passing yards, the Jets won’t rush the No. 2 overall pick back until he’s close to 100%. Expect White to nab his second start in Week 9, especially on a short rest week. WR Corey Davis (hip) is also looking questionable after missing last week. Tyrod Taylor (QB) Houston Texans – Close to playing last week, Taylor ramp up practice reps this week in anticipation of facing the Dolphins. However, Houston has a bye in Week 10 so it might make more sense for the club to give Taylor another week off to be 100% as the Texans look to close out a lost season. Jalen Reagor (WR) Philadelphia Eagles – Reagor, who has topped 50 yards just once all season, was carted off the field in Detroit and could miss some time. He’s only topped three targets in a game once since Week 3, so there’s little reason for redraft fantasy managers to hold onto Reagor at this point. Allen Lazard (WR) Green Bay Packers – After sitting out Week 8 on the reserve/COVID list, Lazard had been activated and will be back in the lineup this week in Kansas City. No. 1 WR Davante Adams (reserve/COVID) should also return Week 9. Tutu Atwell (WR) Los Angeles Rams – On the field for all of 10 offensive snaps this season, Atwell’s rookie campaign is over after suffering a serious shoulder injury in Houston. Atwell’s first season will end with zero targets and one fumble. Chris Boswell (PK) Pittsburgh Steelers – Pittsburgh’s long-time kicker was hurt on a blatant late hit that should have drawn a flag on a fake field goal attempt. Boswell’s absence left the Steelers

Let’s break down the fantasy-relevant injuries ahead of Week 7 and how fantasy managers can forge ahead. Week 7 NFL byes: Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Chargers Nick Chubb (RB) Cleveland Browns – A calf injury kept Chubb out last week and he was not at practice on Monday. With the Browns due to turn around and play again on Thursday, things aren’t looking good for Cleveland’s backfield. Teammate Kareem Hunt also hurt his calf in Week 6 and is looking very doubtful on short rest. D’Ernest Johnson would be next up but has a tough task against a solid Denver defense. Christian McCaffrey (RB) Carolina Panthers – The Panthers officially place McCaffrey on IR, meaning he’ll miss at least two more weeks. CMC hasn’t played since hurting his hamstring against the Texans in Week 3 and now won’t be able to suit up again until Week 9 at the earliest. Chuba Hubbard remains a weekly RB2 as long as McCaffrey is out. Antonio Gibson (RB) Washington Football Team – We’re still waiting for results on an MRI that Gibson had on his shin. The injury isn’t considered too serious, as Gibson was able to return and still see a handful of touches but it did bother him enough to see J.D. McKissic rack up 16 touches. Consider Gibson very questionable for Week 7. Saquon Barkley (RB) New York Giants – Barkley missed Week 6 with a low ankle sprain and could practice in a limited capacity this week. The safe assumption is that the Giants will hold Barkley out for at least one more game, but Barkley is known as a fast healer and wants to return as soon as he can. We’ll monitor news and update the FullTime Discord when word breaks. Chris Carson (RB) Seattle Seahawks – After carrying the ball 20 times for 101 yards and a TD in Pittsburgh, Collins exited the game with hip and glute injuries. Collins will get an extra day to recover, but if he’s not able to suit up on Monday, Rashaad Penny, who should be activated from IR this week, would be a good bet for plenty of touches against New Orleans. Dak Prescott (QB) Dallas Cowboys – Prescott strained his calf late in the Cowboys’ overtime win in New England. Following the game, Prescott says he could have kept playing and wasn’t concerned. Dallas also has a bye this week, so this sounds like a non-issue. Michael Thomas (WR) New Orleans Saints – Thomas (ankle) is eligible to come off of the PUP list this week but isn’t expected to be ready for action for another 2-3 weeks. Proactively adding Thomas off the waiver wire would be a savvy move. Baker Mayfield (QB) Cleveland Browns – Already playing with a hurt labrum in his non-throwing shoulder, Mayfield re-aggravated his shoulder on a hard hit to the turf but was able to return to the game. All indications are that Mayfield will be under center on Thursday, but at less than 100% and facing a stout Denver defense on three days rest, Mayfield shouldn’t be in fantasy lineups. Julio Jones (WR) Tennessee Titans – Well, that didn’t take long. In his first game back after missing two games with a hamstring injury, Jones re-injured the same hamstring and exited in the fourth quarter. Depending on the severity of this new ailment, Jones is likely to miss multiple games once again. In four games, Jones has been held to just 15 grabs and 263 scoreless yards. Odell Beckham Jr. (WR) Cleveland Browns – Yet another significant injury for the Browns, Beckham re-injured his shoulder on a hit and was in obvious pain before exiting the game. Eventually, Beckham was able to return, but with a short rest week before the Browns host Denver, Beckham’s Week 7 status is up in the air. Donovan Peoples-Jones and Jarvis Landry, if he’s active, would benefit from Beckham’s targets if he’s unable to go. Kadarius Toney (WR) New York Giants – Toney re-injured the same ankle that he previously hurt and was quickly ruled out of last week’s loss. Being ruled out that quickly doesn’t bode well for Toney’s Week 7 status. Consider the first-round rookie doubtful for this week. This makes Sterling Shepard a good bet for another heavy week of targets and would also help Darius Slayton if he’s able to return. Trey Lance (QB) San Francisco 49ers – Coming off of their bye, Lance still missing from practice doesn’t bode well for his Week 7 availability. Additionally, after a so-so start, Jimmy Garoppolo was already expected to be back under center for the 49ers. Lance is still a hold in dynasty formats but can be dropped in redraft. Tyrod Taylor (QB) Houston Texans – Out since Week 2 with a hamstring injury, Taylor is nearing a return from IR but unlikely to play this week. As bad as Davis Mills has looked, Houston undoubtedly would like to get Taylor back under center but won’t rush him back in a rebuilding season. If Taylor returns in Week 8, he won’t be a recommended start against the Rams. Parris Campbell (WR) Indianapolis Colts – Significant injuries are nothing new for Campbell, who looks to be sidelined for multiple weeks with another foot ailment. Campbell missed 23-of-32 games in his first two seasons and now could be out for a month or even the rest of 2021. There’s no reason to keep Campbell on redraft rosters. Zach Pascal will not man the slot full-time. Jake Funk (RB) Los Angeles Rams – Funk tore his hamstring in Week 6 and will need surgery. This likely ends his rookie campaign. Buddy Howell will take over as the third back behind Darrell Henderson and Sony Michel. The 2021 NFL season is well underway but it’s not too late to
Fantasy Football Injury Report

FullTime Fantasy’s weekly Fantasy Football Injury Report recaps all the fantasy-relevant injured that occurred and offers advice on how they will impact lineups. Here are the injuries to be aware of ahead of Week 6. Week 6 NFL Byes: Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints, New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers Russell Wilson (QB) Seattle Seahawks – For the first time in his career, Wilson is slated to miss starts after dislocating his finger and receiving surgery. The recovery timetable is expected to sideline Wilson for a month or more. Pete Carroll now hands the reigns over to Geno Smith and while Smith fared well against the Rams on Thursday, it’s a massive downgrade for Seattle’s offense. Saquon Barkley (RB) New York Giants – The Giants suffered a brutal Sunday, not only losing to the Cowboys on the road, but also having their top RB, QB, and WR go down. Anyone watching Saquon Barkley’s ankle get rolled up was probably extremely concerned about his long-term status, but it sounds like Barkley avoided a major injury and had just a low-ankle sprain. This is a best-case scenario for Barkley, who should only miss 1-2 games. Devontae Booker offers weekly RB2 value while Barkley is sidelined. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB) Kansas City Chiefs – CEH had his knee rolled up on and was in immediate and visible pain before being carried off the field by teammates. An MRI revealed Edwards-Helaire sprained his MCL and will miss multiple weeks. His absence opens the door for Darrel Williams to be this week’s top waiver wire add, and should free up a few targets for Jerrick McKinnon. Trey Lance (QB) San Francisco 49ers – San Francisco has a bye in Week 6, so Trey Lance will have time to fully recover from his sprained knee. However, Jimmy Garoppolo (calf) is far more likely to reclaim the 49ers’ starting gig after Lance’s inconsistent performance in Arizona. Lance displayed elite rushing ability but is still a work in progress as a passer. There’s little reason to keep Lance rostered in shallow redraft leagues. Kenny Golladay (WR) New York Giants – The trip to Dallas also cost the Giants their top wideout. Golladay tried to play his way through a hyperextended knee but was ultimately forced from the game. Fortunately, the injury isn’t severe and Golladay is currently expected to miss just one game. Dallas Goedert (TE) Philadelphia Eagles – Goedert has been placed on the reserve/COVID list and is very much in doubt for Philadelphia’s Thursday night game with New England. Unless Goedert tests negative twice in two days, he’s going to miss Week 6. Zach Ertz becomes an interesting streaming option but is far from a must-start against New England’s solid TE defense. Juju Smith-Schuster (WR) Pittsburgh Steelers – Already struggling to gain traction in a contract year, Smith-Schuster dislocated his shoulder and will miss the remainder of the 2021 NFL season. Smith-Schuster’s absence opens up targets for James Washington (groin) when he’s healthy, and Ray-Ray McCloud. It also should mean more opportunities for Chase Claypool, who is now a borderline WR2/3. Julio Jones (WR) Tennessee Titans – Out since Week 3 with a hamstring injury, Jones has yet to return to practice and is looking like he’ll miss at least one more game. Damien Harris (RB) New England Patriots – Harris was in and out of New England’s lineup and had a costly goal-line fumble before injuring his chest/ribs in the fourth quarter. The injury isn’t considered serious and Harris is listed as day-to-day. He should be good to go this week against the Patriots but could begin to lose more touches to Rhamondre Stevenson and Brandon Bolden. Daniel Jones (QB) New York Giants – On a designed run, Jones took a blow to the head as he approached the end zone and suffered a scary concussion. Jones attempted to wobble back to the huddle but was assisted by concerned teammates. Jones has plenty of time to pass through the league’s concussion protocol, but fantasy managers who rely on Jones as their starter should start making other arrangements for Week 6. Sammy Watkins (WR) Baltimore Ravens – Watkins injured his hamstring late in Baltimore’s inspiring come-from-behind victory. Hamstring ailments are notoriously easy to reoccur when not given adequate time to heal, so Watkins could be due to miss a handful of games, depending on the severity of his injury. Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Miami Dolphins – Eligible to come off IR this week, Miami head coach Brian Flores is hoping Tagovailoa will practice this week and could be back in the lineup for the Dolphins, who have a must-win game in Jacksonville Week 6. Curtis Samuel (WR) Washington Football Team – Samuel re-injured his groin and is still listed as week-to-week. The best course of action might be for Ron Rivera to hold Samuel out a game or two until he is 100%. If Samuel is forced to miss time, Adam Humphries would be Washington’s full-time slot receiver and could be a cheap source of targets. Quintez Cephus (WR) Detroit Lions – Cephus broke his collarbone in Detroit’s loss in Minnesota and should miss the rest of the season. Amon-Ra St. Brown should see a boost in targets. Tyrod Taylor (QB) Houston Texans – Taylor, who has been out since injuring his hamstring in Week 2, isn’t expected to return this week, even though he is eligible. After Davis Mills‘s spectacular performance against New England, the Texans may choose to just keep Davis in the lineup to see if he can develop into an NFL starter. Taylor’s only value is in dynasty Superflex leagues. Gerald Everett (TE) Seattle Seahawks – Everett has been activated from the reserve/COVID list and is expected to start in Week 6. He’ll be a lesser TE2 with Geo Smith under center. THIS TOOL IS FREE THIS WEEK BUT IS TYPICALLY RESERVED FOR PREMIUM MEMBERS. Are you seriously still on the sidelines? Fantasy Football Injury Report

Now that we are four games into the NFL season, injuries are starting to mount, including several big-name fantasy football starters. Monitoring these situations and knowing how to pivot is key towards building a winning fantasy roster. Here are the fantasy-relevant injuries ahead of Week 5 and how managers should approach those spots. David Montgomery (RB) Chicago Bears – After topping triple-digits and two scores against Detroit, Montgomery went down in the fourth quarter and appeared to be in serious pain. The good news here was that the team confirmed Montgomery did not suffer a torn ACL but the star running back is expected to miss a month or so. Damien Williams becomes an instant RB2 for however long Montgomery is sidelined, and Khalil Herbert would be in the change-of-pace role. Joe Mixon (RB) Cincinnati Bengals – Mixon exited Week 4 early with a sprained ankle and was initially ruled week-to-week–a scary proposition considering that Mixon was called week-to-week all of last season and never returned. However, on Tuesday, Mixon was deemed day-to-day, so the ankle doesn’t appear to be too serious. At this point, picking up Samaje Perine on the waiver wire seems like a solid move, but no need to overreact. Amari Cooper (WR) Dallas Cowboys – Cooper is dealing with rib and hamstring ailments and may be limited in practice all week but is expected to be in the lineup when the Cowboys host the Giants on Sunday. D.J. Chark (WR) Jacksonville Jaguars – As feared by those watching Thursday, Chark suffered a broken left ankle and was placed on season-ending IR. Chark can be dropped in redraft formats and his absence should mean more targets for Laviska Shenault and Marvin Jones. After Chark exited Week 4, Tavon Austin came in to play 73% of Jacksonville’s snaps but Austin is well off the fantasy radar. Logan Thomas (TE) Washington Football Team – Thomas was felled by a hamstring injury as is considered week-to-week. Hamstring injuries are prone to reoccur when not given time to properly heal, so Thomas could be looking at a multi-week absence. Ricky Seals-Jones will start in place for Thomas. Will Fuller (WR) Miami Dolphins – Fuller broke a finger in the second quarter of Miami’s Week 4 loss to Indianapolis and is expected to miss several games. Injuries are certainly no stranger to Fuller, who has yet to stay healthy for a full NFL season. Fantasy managers with shallow rosters can consider dropping Fuller. T.Y. Hilton (WR) Indianapolis Colts – Hilton (neck) is nearing a return and is already eligible to return from IR. Indy’s passing attack hasn’t exactly been firing on all cylinders but Hilton should immediately be re-inserted back into the starting lineup and could be a viable WR4 down the stretch in an offense with a very favorable strength of schedule for wideouts. Jimmy Garoppolo (QB) San Francisco 49ers – When San Francisco emerged from the halftime locker room, Garoppolo was on the sidelines with a calf injury. Trey Lance came off the bench to score over 20 fantasy points and Garoppolo was listed as week-to-week. Like Joe Mixon, Garoppolo’s status has been upgraded to day-to-day as further examination deemed the calf injury less severe. With the 49ers scheduled to have a Week 6 bye, it seems realistic to think that Kyle Shanahan will start Lance in Arizona to give Garoppolo another week to recover, but if the injury isn’t affecting his starter, Jimmy G. could be right back under center in the desert. Whoever leads San Francisco this week has solid fantasy appeal in what shapes up to be a shootout. Tee Higgins (WR) Cincinnati Bengals – Higgins has missed a pair of games but is expected to return to practice this week. His return would be a much-welcomed boost to a Cincinnati team that is humming along at 3-1. It would mean fewer targets for both J’Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd, but all three are solid weekly WR2/3 options. Josh Jacobs (RB) Las Vegas Raiders – Out since Week 1, Jacobs returned to action Monday and logged 63.2% of the Raiders running back snaps and 89% of the backfield’s total touches. As long as he remains healthy, Jacobs is back on the weekly RB2 radar. Kenyan Drake only got two touches and wasn’t targeted while Peyton Barber played all of one snap. Barber can safely be dropped, while Drake is also on the verge of being fantasy persona non grata. Chase Claypool (WR) Pittsburgh Steelers – Another troublesome hamstring injury cost Claypool a game last week. There’s been no update on his status but we’ll monitor is participation in practice all week. If healthy, Claypool is looking at a tough Week 5 matchup against the Broncos. Sterling Shepard & Darius Slayton (WR) New York Giants – Both of New York’s solid wideouts are dealing with hamstring injuries and both are expected to potentially be back in time for Week 5’s NFC East showdown in Dallas. If active, Shepard is in the WR3 range while Slayton is a tier below. Elijah Mitchell (RB) San Francisco 49ers – After sitting for two weeks, Mitchell is trending in the right direction and could potentially be active in Arizona. Mitchell could actually take the lion’s share of carries this week if active, however Kyle Shanahan’s backfield is notoriously difficult to handicap. It also would make sense for Shanahan to rest Mitchell ahead of his team’s Week 6 bye, so that’s something to consider as well. Andy Dalton (QB) Chicago Bears – Matt Nagy proclaimed that Dalton (knee) would be Chicago’s starter once he’s cleared to play. After Justin Fields looked quite credible Sunday, we’re not so sure that Dalton will be re-inserted back into the starting lineup. Either way, this is a below-average passing offense but would be better served with the rookie starting. Elijah Moore (WR) New York Jets – Moore sat out last week with a concussion but is expected to clear the league’s protocol during the week. Before sitting out Week 4, Moore was playing over 70% of the Jets’ snaps, so his return will send Keelan Cole back to the
