Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

As usual, injuries had a big impact on fantasy football lineups last week. Our Fantasy Football Injury Rundown goes though all the fantasy-relevant injuries you need to be aware of. Here are the key fantasy-relevant injury situations we’ll be monitoring. Both for this week’s action and moving forward. Also, be sure to check out our Week 9 waiver wire and FAAB recommendations. Cooper Kupp (WR) Los Angeles Rams – The entire fantasy community can breathe a sigh of relief. Kupp appears to have avoided serious damage to his ankle. Sean McVay called his star wideout “day-to-day,” which is very good news considering the initial look of the injury. We’ll monitor Kupp’s practice status all week and update it in Discord. Keenan Allen (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – Allen hurt his hamstring back in Week 1 and didn’t return until Week 7. He was only in on 32% of LA’s snaps in that game. What is more concerning is that Allen has the Week 8 bye to get healthy. Yet, the aging veteran was absent from practice Monday. The Chargers desperately need Allen back in the lineups with Mike Williams expected to miss a month. This will be one of the most important injuries to monitor ahead of Week 9. DK Metcalf (WR) Seattle Seahawks – In a shocker, Metcalf not only played in Week 8 but found the end zone. After reports dropped that Metcalf had hurt his patellar tendon, he was expected to miss 1-3 weeks. Instead, he recovered in days and was back on the field. At this point, Metcalf might be less than 100% but there’s no reason to think he won’t be back to face the Cardinals on Sunday. Rashod Bateman (WR) Baltimore Ravens – After re-injuring his foot, Bateman will be sidelined for multiple weeks. Devin Duvernay will now act as Baltimore’s No. 1 wideout. Bateman is not on Injured Reserve. Also, that puts fantasy managers in a bind. With that, teams struggling through early bye weeks and playoff contention may have to consider cutting Bateman. Mark Andrews (TE) Baltimore Ravens – Andrews is still dealing with a knee injury and added a shoulder ailment to his troubles last week. The team doesn’t seem overly concerned but if Andrews is limited, Isaiah Likely becomes an interesting streaming option to consider. Gus Edwards (RB) Baltimore Ravens – Yet another injured Raven. Running back Gus Edwards is dealing with a sore hamstring and has been listed as questionable. The soft-tissue injury is considered minor, but hamstring injuries are notoriously easy to reoccur. For now, we tentatively expect Edwards to suit up this week. D’Andre Swift (RB) Detroit Lions – Swift received just 15.2% of Detroit’s rushes in his first game back. The third-year back is still working his way back from ankle and shoulder ailments and will be eased back into action. However, it might take a few games for Swift to approach the kind of workload he saw in Week 1. Until then, consider Swift and Jamaal Williams solid weekly RB2s. Chuba Hubbard (RB) Carolina Panthers – Hubbard missed Week 8 with an ankle injury. This led to D’Onta Foreman‘s huge outing. Hubbard says he’ll be back in Week 9 which should result in more of a split backfield. Both Panters’ backs are flex worthy. Irv Smith (TE) Minnesota Vikings – An ankle injury will sideline Smith for the next 8-10 weeks. This, and the club’s trade for T.J. Hockenson, effectively ends Smith’s fantasy season. Nico Collins (WR) Houston Texans – Houston hosts Philadelphia on Thursday. That means that Collins (groin) has next to zero shot at playing in Week 9. Considering how bad Houston’s offense has looked, fantasy managers strapped for roster flexibility can probably just send Collins to the waiver wire. ENTER OUR WEEK 9 DRAFT CONTEST!

Also, be sure to check out our Week 8 waiver wire and FAAB recommendations. Ezekiel Elliott (RB) Dallas Cowboys: Elliott is dealing with a hyperextended right knee that has caused swelling and bruising. He is expected to sit in Week 8. The one time Tony Pollard played without Zeke, he posted 31 fantasy points! Matt Ryan (QB) Indianapolis Colts: Ryan suffered a Grade 2 shoulder sprain. However, he was benched in favor of Sam Ehlinger and the coach made it clear it was a benching. Ehlinger brings more mobility to the position. Russell Wilson (QB) Denver Broncos: It was revealed this weekend that Russ did have a slight tear in his hamstring. This makes his timeline for a return very murky. Breece Hall (RB) New York Jets: Hall continued to look every bit the prospect he was projected to be in Week 7 until he went down with a knee injury. Unfortunately, the team has announced he tore his ACL and did some damage to his meniscus which will cost him the remainder of the season. He will hope to be ready for Week 1 next season. However, the team did trade for James Robinson (for a conditional sixth-round pick) who has been struggling recently with the Jaguars with an apparent knee injury. His presence will reduce the workload for Michael Carter who has flashed well in a lightning roll to Hall’s thunder, which leaves J-Rob as a low-end flex option. Mike Boone (RB) Denver Broncos: Boone has been sent to IR with an ankle injury. This will open up more touches for Melvin Gordon and Latavius Murray. Chuba Hubbard (RB) Carolina Panthers: Hubbard exited Sunday with an ankle injury leaving the split backfield to D’Onta Foreman. However, the team has said that he could have returned to the game if needed. D.K. Metcalf (WR) Seattle Seahawks: Metcalf went down with what looked like a serious knee injury this week and the Seahawks feared the worst. However, reports were positive and it will not require surgery. He is expected back this season but does not have a clear timeline for a return. Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR) Detroit Lions: St. Brown exited this week with a concussion and did not return. It sounds like this is a Teddy Bridgewater situation though. He was pulled by a spotter but was not diagnosed with a concussion which could be good news for his availability next week. Mike Williams (WR) Las Angeles Chargers: Williams went down with an ugly ankle injury on Sunday. Luckily, the injury wasn’t as bad as it looked, but he is still expected to miss some time with a high-ankle sprain. Allen Lazard (WR) Green Bay Packers: Lazard injured his shoulder on Sunday and was spotted with his arm in a sling following the game. Nico Collins (WR) Houston Texans: Collins was forced from this week’s game with a groin injury and did not return. It’s unclear if he will miss time, but these injuries tend to linger. Phillip Dorsett stepped up in his absence. David Njoku (TE) Cleveland Browns: Njoku suffered a high-ankle sprain and will likely be out 2-5 weeks. Harrison Bryant should see an uptick in volume this week. Daniel Bellinger (TE) New York Giants: On a freak play, Bellinger was punched in the face and broke his eye socket. It will require surgery and there is a chance his season is over. Tanner Hudson is next on the depth chart although fullback Chris Myarick may be the better add if he’s TE-eligible. Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

Another week is in the books. Unfortunately, plenty of injuries were part of an erratic Week 6 slate. Our Fantasy Football Injury Rundown goes though all the fantasy-relevant injuries you need to be aware of. Here are the key fantasy-relevant injury situations we’ll be monitoring. Both for this week’s action and moving forward. Also, be sure to check out our Week 7 waiver wire and FAAB recommendations. Dak Prescott (QB) Dallas Cowboys – Week 7 was always the timeline for Prescott’s return. His practice activities picked up last week and he’s expected to take starting QB reps on Wednesday. Assuming he’s back under center, Prescott will be a locked-in QB1 against a bottom-5 Detroit secondary. Marquise Brown (WR) Arizona Cardinals – The Cardinals are fortunate to be getting DeAndre Hopkins back from suspension this week. No. 1 wideout Hollywood Brown suffered a major foot injury and is expected to miss six weeks. Brown will avoid surgery but is expected to go on IR. The club also traded for Robbie Anderson, who has very little time to prepare himself for Thursday’s tilt. Keenan Allen (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – A hamstring injury has now cost Allen five games. He was trending in the right direction last week and is tentatively expected to return this Sunday versus Arizona. Carson Wentz (QB) Washington Commanders – Wentz fractured his thumb on Thursday, which helped explain the abysmal performance. Surgery was required and the veteran signal-caller will miss at least one month. Taylor Heinicke will take over as the starter for the next 4-6 weeks. Russell Wilson (QB) Denver Broncos – As if the season wasn’t disappointing enough, apparently Russell Wilson merger from Monday night’s loss with a hamstring injury. Brett Rypien, who has a career 61.2 QB rating, would be next man up is Wilson is forced to miss time. For now, consider Wilson day-to-day. Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Miami Dolphins – After missing most of three games, Tagovailoa has cleared concussion protocol and will be under center this week against Pittsburgh. Although rust could be a factor, Tagovailoa will be in a good spot facing a Steelers’ secondary ceding the seventh-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. James Conner (RB) Arizona Cardinals – Conner was unable to practice with a rib injury that kept him out last week. With Arizona playing Thursday, assume Conner will miss his second straight game. Kenny Pickett (QB) Pittsburgh Steelers – Pickett was unable to finish Week 5 and is in the league’s concussion protocol. If he is unable to clear it in time for Week 7, Mitch Trubisky would start against Miami. Michael Thomas (WR) New Orleans Saints – The Saints are really banged up right now and a short rest week won’t help. Reports indicated that Thomas’s foot was improving but it seems more likely that the club will hold him out once again. We’ll monitor his healthy and update the FullTime Fantasy Discord. Jarvis Landry (WR) New Orleans Saints – Landry is probably less likely to play on a short week with an ankle ailment that has sidelined him since Week 5. New Orleans doesn’t have a bye until Week 14. Cameron Brate (TE) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – A week after suffering a concussion, Brate had a scary next injury that turned out to be a sprain. Should Brate miss time, Cade Otton would see his snaps rise. Also, bring on the Gronk rumors. Randall Cobb (WR) Green Bay Packers – A sprained ankle will keep Cobb sidelined for 2-4 weeks. Cobb is Green Bay’s primary slot receiver. His absence will likely mean more slot reps for Allen Lazard and Romeo Doubs. But, the real benefactor here could be TE Robert Tonyan, who already boasts a 48.6% slot rate. Darrel Williams (RB) Arizona Cardinals – The Cardinals are due up Thursday, which makes it almost certain that Williams will miss another game with a knee injury. At this point, there is no real reason to keep the veteran back rostered. Matt Prater (PK) Arizona Cardinals – With a short week on deck, the Cardinals signed Rodrigo Blankenship to the practice squad. This is a very good indication that Prater (hip) will miss Week 7. Dustin Hopkins (PK) Los Angeles Chargers – Hopkins re-aggravated his quad injury on Monday. He played through the ailment but it is safe to assume the club will bring in a potential replacement this week. ENTER OUR WEEK 7 DRAFT CONTEST! Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

Last week we saw the first fallout from the league’s new concussion protocol. Of course, protecting these players is paramount, but it’s going to cause some issues in fantasy football. The Fantasy Football Injury Rundown will catch you up on the important injury news and notes that will impact lineups in Week 6. Here are the key fantasy-relevant injury situations we’ll be monitoring. Both for this week’s action and moving forward. Also, be sure to check out our Week 6 waiver wire and FAAB recommendations. Rashaad Penny (RB) Seattle Seahawks – The biggest injury blow to come out of Week 5 was to Seattle’s starting running back. Penny, who is no stranger to injuries, broke his right tibia and will require season-ending surgery. It was another brutal injury for Penny, who head to free agency after the season. With Penny gone, Kenneth Walker III will now act as the Seahawks’ feature back. Dak Prescott (QB) Dallas Cowboys – Although Prescott is getting closer, reports indicate he still can’t grip the ball well with his right thumb. The Cowboys have a critical NFC East showdown with Philadelphia this week. But that game is Sunday night, which doesn’t help with lineup decision time. Since Cooper Rush is 4-0 as the starter, expect Jerry Jones to err on the side of caution and keep Prescott out for at least one more week. Darren Waller (TE) Las Vegas Raiders – Waller exited Monday night after six snaps. When the Raiders emerged from halftime, Waller was in street clothes. Certainly, that is a worrisome development for a player that battled hamstring issues throughout the preseason. For now, be prepared to be without Waller for at least one week. Foster Moreau (knee) missed Week 5. Both will have an additional week to heal due to Las Vegas’s Week 6 bye. Damien Harris (RB) New England Patriots – Another hamstring injury will keep Harris out for multiple weeks. With Harris out, Rhamondre Steven#SZN is certainly here. Stevenson racked up 175 yards on 27 touches against Detroit. New England has a bye in Week 10 so Week 11 may be a realistic return date for Harris. Pierre Strong is a waiver wire target in deeper leagues. Tee Higgins (WR) Cincinnati Bengals – It seems that the ankle injury that kept Higgins limited in practice was much worse than indicated. Higgins only participated in 10 snaps Monday and did not record a reception. If he is able to practice later this week that would be a good sign for Week 6. But for now, consider Higgins very questionable. Keenan Allen (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – Just look to Allen for the potential impact of hamstring injuries. LA’s No. 1 receiver has now missed four games with a seemingly moderate hamstring ailment. Allen may actually return to practice this week, which would be very welcomed. We’ll update his status in the FullTime Discord channel. James Conner (RB) Arizona Cardinals – For the second game in a row, Conner was unable to play in the second half. This time, a rib injury kept Conner sidelined. Darrel Williams (knee) was also ruled out. The team doesn’t seem overly concerned about Conner, but fantasy managers may want to proactively add Eno Benjamin as a hedge. Rashod Bateman (WR) Baltimore Ravens – A foot injury kept Bateman out last week but all indications are that he should be good to go versus the Giants. We will have an update on Bateman’s status later this week. Isaiah McKenzie (WR) Buffalo Bills – McKenzie missed last week due to a concussion and is still in the protocol. He has all week to clear the tests. If he does, he should slide right back in as the club’s WR3. If McKenzie misses Week 6, Khalil Shakir would be an appealing waiver add. Julio Jones (WR) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – The Bucs are taking a proactive approach with Jones’s knee. The aging veteran was close to playing last week but the club is cautiously hoping another week off will put Jones close to 100%. Chances are he will be activated this week. Dalton Schultz (TE) Dallas Cowboys – Apparently, Schultz re-injured his knee in Week 5, which explains his goose-egg performance. Schultz has really been struggling with Cooper Rush under center. It might be better for all if Schultz is held out this week until Dak Prescott returns. That’s about the only way he can salvage what looks like a lost 2022 season. Jahan Dotson (WR) Washington Commanders – A hamstring injury kept Dotson out last week. With the Commanders slated to play in short rest, there is next to zero shot Dotson plays. Expect Dyami Brown to fill in again. Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Miami Dolphins – Tagovailoa is still in the league’s concussion protocol. We fully expect him to miss at least one more start. Backup Teddy Bridgewater is also in the protocol but has already passed initial tests. Bridgewater is likely to start against the Vikings. Baker Mayfield (QB) Carolina Panthers – A high-ankle sprain will keep Mayfield sidelined for some time. P.J. Walker is slated to start this week. The Panthers also dismissed Matt Rhule. Don’t be surprised if Sam Darnold also earns some starts at some point. This is a situation to avoid, altogether. Logan Thomas (TE) Washington Commanders – Thomas sat out Week 5 with a calf injury. He also sat out practice Monday, which is a troubling sign for his Week 6 availability. Washington plays Chicago on Thursday, so Thomas is looking very questionable for Week 6. Robbie Gould (PK) San Francisco 49ers – 39-year-old kicker Robbie Gould hurt his knee making a tackle in San Francisco’s victory in Carolina. He was unable to kick the remainder of the game and the club will be bringing in the rotating group of veteran replacements this week. We’d start looking for other options. Ashton Dulin (WR) Indianapolis Colts – Dulin will miss a minimum of four weeks. He was placed on IR with a foot injury. Deonte Harty (WR) New Orleans Saints – Harty suffered a severe turf toe injury and is likely to miss the rest of the season.
Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

In a season that feels marred by injuries, Week 4 might have been the worst slate yet. We’re only one-quarter of the way through 2022 but it feels like every team has been majorly impacted. The Fantasy Football Injury Rundown keeps you up-to-date on all the fantasy-relevant injuries. It is also important to know how to overcome roster adversity. Attacking the Week 5 waiver wire is a good place to start the recovery process. Here is the fantasy football injury rundown ahead of Week 5. Barring something unforseen, expect to see D’Andre Swift & Alvin Kamara suit up this weekend. Javonte Williams (RB) Denver Broncos – The most devastating injury from Week 4 was Williams tearing his ACL. The sophomore running back’s 2022 season is over but there is some concern for his future. In addition to the ACL, Williams also tore his LCL and posterior lateral corner. These are three significant knee injuries that all occurred at once and will complicate his recovery. Our thoughts are with Williams and the long road ahead. Dak Prescott (QB) Dallas Cowboys – There was some speculation that Prescott could return in Week 5. But owner Jerry Jones indicated Prescott is still having issues gripping the ball. The Cowboys are also 3-0 with Cooper Rush under center, so they can afford to let Prescott rest another week. Expect Rush to nab the start against the Rams. Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Miami Dolphins – By now you’ve undoubtedly read about the Tua fiasco. It looked like Tagovailoa was concussed in Week 3 but was back out there on short rest. Then, a scarier head injury occurred on Thursday resulting in the quarterback being sent to the hospital. There are varying accounts of how Tua was allowed to re-enter Week 3 and suit up again four days later. Tua has already been ruled out for Week 5 and could be out longer. Teddy Bridgewater will be under center for the time being. Jonathan Taylor (RB) Indianapolis Colts – The original diagnosis for Taylor was the dreaded high-ankle sprain. Fortunately, that wasn’t the case. Taylor’s Week 5 availability is uncertain but he hasn’t participated in any practices. With the Colts due up for a Thursday game, things aren’t looking good. Even if he’s active, Taylor would likely be extremely limited against a Broncos defense that allows the ninth-fewest fantasy points to running backs. Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR) Detroit Lions – St. Brown missed practice all week and was held out of Week 4. St. Brown is tentatively expected to return to practice ahead of this week’s trip to New England. We’ll have updated in the FullTime Fantasy Discord. Ditto for D.J. Chark who was also a surprise scratch last Sunday. Cordarrelle Patterson (RB) Atlanta Falcons – Patterson tried to play through a knee injury, even scoring on nine carries but never returned. He was placed on IR Monday. That means he’ll be out a minimum of four games. Atlanta will surge ahead with Tyler Allgier and Caleb Huntley, who split snaps and touches evenly on Sunday. Russell Wilson (QB) Denver Broncos – Wilson was limited in practice with shoulder fatigue. The Broncos are on a short week hosting the Colts on Thursday. It is almost certainly just the club being cautious in a limited week. Daniel Jones (QB) New York Giants – Jones sprained his ankle in New York’s 20-12 victory over Chicago. Jones actually had to come back into the game after Tyrod Taylor exited with a concussion. It is not known if Jones will be available in Week 5 but the club brought in Jake Fromm and A.J. McCarron for workouts. We’ll update Jones’s status later when word breaks. Treylon Burks (WR) Tennessee Titans – A turf toe injury could sideline rookie WR Treylon Burks for 2-4 weeks. For now, surgery isn’t needed but expect to be without Burks for multiple starts. Jahan Dotson (WR) Washington Commanders – Ron Rivera said Jahan Dotson could miss 1-2 weeks with a hamstring injury. The injury itself didn’t seem too serious but hamstring ailments are notorious for reoccurring when not given proper time to fully heal. For now, plan on not having Dotson for Week 5, at least. Brian Robinson (RB) Washington Commanders – Robison is expected to make his NFL debut in Week 5. The rookie missed the first month of the season after being shot in the leg. His arrival would be just in time too. Antonio Gibson‘s snap share has been trending down. Robinson attracted a lot of hype this summer so we should see if he can live up to that quickly. Brian Hoyer (QB) New England Patriots – Already missing Mac Jones, the Patriots quickly had to get Bailey Zappe into NFL action after Hoyer was concussed early. All signs point toward Zappe making his first NFL start Sunday against the Lions. Justice Hill (RB) Baltimore Ravens – Hill hurt his hamstring and is expected to miss a game or two. Baltimore also activated Gus Edwards from the PUP list. That makes Edwards eligible to participate in practice this week. Expect the Ravens to have Mike Davis and Kenyan Drake active this week. Cameron Brate (TE) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Brate got hit by his teammate but returned to the field before being pulled and ruled out with a concussion. He will have to clear the league’s concussion protocol before he can return to action. Jamison Crowder (WR) New York Jets – A broken ankle with sideline Crowder for an extended period of time. The injury could be season-ending, so there is little reason to hold onto Crowder except in the deepest of dynasty leagues. Jerome Ford (KR) Cleveland Browns – Ford was placed on season-ending IR with an ankle injury. Matt Prater (PK) Arizona Cardinals – Prater was questionable all week but managed to play before a hip injury caused him to exit in the third quarter. The signing of Matt Amendola all but assures that Prater will be inactive in Week 5. ENTER OUR WEEK 5 DRAFT CONTEST! How it Works: Draft your team using our On-Demand Simulator. Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

We learned quite a bit in Week 3. It is starting to feel like players are who they are at this point. Naturally, there were plenty of injuries last week and our Fantasy Football Injury Rundown breaks down the fantasy impact. Before you finalize your waiver wire claims for Week 4, it’s crucial to know the latest injury info and how it will impact Week 4 and beyond. Here is the Fantasy Football Injury Rundown for Week 4 and how fantasy managers should approach it for this week and moving forward. This list will be updated as injury news rolls in all week. Mac Jones (QB) New England Patriots – Bill Belichick isn’t known for being forthright about injuries. For now, Jones is not going on IR but he should be expected to miss multiple weeks with a “severe” high-ankle sprain. The injury occurred on the final play of the game. Jones had his ankle rolled on and had to be immediately helped off the field. This is normally a 4-6 week injury, so be prepared to pick up Brian Hoyer if you’re in a bad way in a Superflex league. The loss of Jones is a pretty significant blow to all New England fantasy options. David Montgomery (RB) Chicago Bears – Khalil Herbert was the RB1 in Week 3 but that was supposed to be Montgomery’s breakout game. Unfortunately, Montgomery had his knee rolled up on and was quickly ruled out. There is still no definitive word on his diagnosis but upon initial view, it looked like a potential MCL injury. If that, or a PCL is the culprit, Montgomery could miss 4-6 weeks. We’ll have updates when they drop but expect a multiple-game absence. Dalvin Cook (RB) Minnesota Vikings – Another prominent RB1 was injured last week. Cook hurt his oft-injured shoulder running into his own lineman and was unable to return to action. X-rays were negative and Cook is listed as day-to-day. With Alexander Mattison fully capable of stepping in, it might be wise for the Vikings to let Cook rest for a week. For now, all we can do is monitor Cook’s practice status all week. He’s truly questionable to face the Saints. D’Andre Swift (RB) Detroit Lions – Swift is expected to be out until Week 7 with a shoulder injury. Dan Campbell said Swift would likely be held out two games and into Detroit’s Week 6 bye. Swift flashed top-5 upside in the first two games of the season so his absence will hurt. The good news is he should be fully healthy in time for the stretch drive. Jamaal Williams can now be penciled in as a strong RB2 for at least two games. Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Miami Dolphins – Anyone who watched Sunday has a hard time believing that Miami’s star quarterback wasn’t concussed. Tagovaila was wobbly after a hit but returned to the game. His productivity dropped off in the second half and the league is so concerned with how the injury was handled that they’re addressing how in-game concussions are handled. For Week 4, Tagovailoa is listed as questionable with a back injury. With Miami slated to play on Thursday, this is more concerning. We’ll have updates in the FullTime Discord. Keenan Allen (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – Allen sat out Week 3 with a hamstring injury but is tentatively expected to practice this week. If Allen is able to practice in full, he should return to a Chargers’ lineup that desperately needs him. Justin Herbert (QB) Los Angeles Chargers – Kudos to Herbert for playing through his rib injury last week but the results weren’t good. LA got pounded at home by the Jaguars. Even with the game out of hand, Herbert remained in, taking shots. He should continue to get healthier each day and a revenge game in Houston offers a wonderful opportunity to rebound in Week 4. Michael Thomas (WR) New Orleans Saints – Thomas hurt his toe in Week 3 but the injury isn’t considered serious. Thankfully, the injury was not on the same ankle that caused Thomas to miss the entire 2021 campaign. He might miss a practice or two but should be able to suit up versus the Vikings. Sterling Shepard (WR) New York Giants – In a freak accident on the final play, Shepard crumpled to the turf with a non-contact right knee injury. He was quickly loaded onto a cart and surrounded by players from both teams. An MRI Tuesday confirmed that Shepard tore his ACL and will miss the remainder of the 2022 season. Zach Wilson (QB) New York Jets – Out since the preseason, Wilson is projected to return as early as this week from a meniscus injury. As much as Joe Flacco has been slinging it, Wilson’s return is probably a downgrade for all Jets’ pass-catchers. Especially Tyler Conklin, who is tied for third among all tight ends with 24 targets. Elijah Moore and Wilson flashed chemistry down the stretch, so hoping that carries over. If Wilson suits up in Week 4, he’ll be welcomed by the Steelers. Kadarius Toney (WR) New York Giants – Toney is still dealing with an injured hamstring that kept him sidelined last week. Brian Daboll indicated Toney could return this week, just in time for Shepard’s time-leading target share to open up. Rookie Wan’Dale Robinson is also improving. Robinson hurt his knee in Week 1 and has missed two games. Consider both questionable to play against the Bears this week. Julio Jones (WR) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Jones missed two games with a knee injury but is expected to return against Kansas City this week. Due to Hurricane Ian, it is possible that the Buccaneers will be forced to play their “home” game elsewhere. If he’s in the lineup, Jones should be a good bet for a healthy target load. But, there’s a lot to account for here, so proceed with caution. Dalton Schultz (TE) Dallas Cowboys – Schultz tried to suit up on Monday but was ultimately ruled out with a knee injury. The fact that he was close to playing bodes
Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

Along with wild come-from-behind wins, Week 2 also had a number of significant injuries. The FullTime Fantasy Football Injury Rundown will update you on the severity and fallout. Before you finalize your waiver wire claims for Week 3, it’s crucial to know the latest injury info. Here is the Fantasy Football Injury Rundown for Week 3 and how fantasy managers should approach it for this week and moving forward. This list will be updated as injury news rolls in all week. Trey Lance (QB) San Francisco 49ers – Lance was a popular breakout candidate this preseason bases on his massive upside. Unfortunately, the bust part of boom/bust is applicable here as Lance’s season is over after a massive ankle injury. He’s already had surgery and the Niners will march forward with Jimmy Garoppolo. Lance drafters will likely have to surge ahead with a streaming approach. But Garoppolo, Carson Wentz, or Jared Goff make respectable replacements. James Conner (RB) Arizona Cardinals – An ankle injury caused Conner to exit early and he did not return. Early indications are that the injury isn’t serious but his inability to come back into a game that Arizona trailed is concerning. His Week 3 practice participation will be key. If Friday rolls around and Conner hasn’t practiced, it’s a good bet he’ll miss the game. Darrel Williams and Eno Benjamin split snaps evenly after Conner departed. Jerry Jeudy (WR) Denver Broncos – Jeudy hurt his rubs in the first quarter and did not return. He’s being listed as day-to-day. If Jeudy is forced to miss a game or two, Courtland Sutton would offer WR1 upside. Now if we can just do something at quarterback. Michael Pittman (WR) Indianapolis Colts – The Colts must’ve had a rough practice week. It cost them their top two wideouts and did not result in a win. Pittman hurt his quad but is considered day-to-day. He’s got a solid chance of suiting up this week and the club desperately needs his presence. Damien Harris (RB) New England Patriots – After getting hit in the knee, Harris limped off the field and did not return. In true Patriots fashion, he told the media he was “fine” after the game. We don’t expect the team to exactly be upfront about the true details of Harris’s knee. We’ll have to monitor his practice participation all week. If he’s ruled out, it would be a boon for Rhamondre Stevenson, who actually played more snaps than Harris in Week 3. Michael Gallup (WR) Dallas Cowboys – There is a chance that Michael Gallup (ACL) returns in Week 3. We would advise caution here but if Gallup is cleared to start, he would immediately be the Cowboys’ No. 2 option. A healthy Gallup is a solid weekly WR3/4. Gabriel Davis (WR) Buffalo Bills – A surprise inactive on Monday, Davis injured his ankle during Saturday’s practice. He was ruled out of Buffalo’s trouncing of Tennessee but there have been no updates on the injury itself. We’ll keep an eye on his status for Week 3 and update the FullTime Discord. Dalton Schultz (TE) Dallas Cowboys – Dr. Jerry Jones implied that Schultz might only miss one week but shouldn’t be absent long. This is good news, as Schultz appeared to suffer a major knee injury in the fourth quarter of the Cowboys’ upset over Cincinnati. Fantasy managers should be prepared to stream a tight end for a week or two but shouldn’t be shocked if Shultz is slow to recover. Julio Jones (WR) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Jones was listed as a game-time decision but was ultimately ruled out of Week 2. The aging, oft-injured wideout is dealing with a knee injury and is questionable for Week 3. The Bucs could desperately use him in the lineup. Our early guess is he will be able to play against the Packers. Hunter Renfrow (WR) Las Vegas Raiders – On what turned out to be the final play of the game, Renfrow took a hard hit to the shoulder from Isaiah Simmons. The hit was bad enough to put Renfrow in the league’s concussion protocol. Devin Duvernay (WR) Baltimore Ravens – Ravens’ wideout Devin Duvernay is also in the league’s concussion protocol after exiting in the fourth quarter of the Ravens’ loss to Miami. Duvernay returned the opening kick for a score. Other than that, he wasn’t involved much, snagging both of his targets for 42 yards. Tyrion Davis-Price (RB) San Francisco 49ers – After rushing 14 times for just 33 yards in Week 2, Davis-Price exited with an ankle injury. Word dropped Monday that TDP suffered the dreaded high-ankle sprain and will miss multiple weeks. There is no reason to keep the rookie rostered except in dynasty leagues. Jordan Mason is next up in the Niners backfield. Tyler Kroft (TE) San Francisco 49ers – Kroft injured his MCL and will be sidelined for a month or more. With George Kittle nearing a return, there is no reason to hold onto Kroft in any format. ENTER OUR WEEK 3 DRAFT CONTEST! How it Works: Draft your team using our On-Demand Simulator. Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

In a game like football, injuries are inevitable. And Week 1 certainly had its fair share of them. FullTime’s Fantasy Football Injury Rundown catches you up on all the fantasy-relevant injuries from last week and their potential consequences. Before you finalize your Week 2 Waiver Wire adds, here is the fantasy football injury rundown: Dak Prescott (QB) Dallas Cowboys – (OUT) The most devastating blow for the week came to America’s Team. Prescott broke the thumb on his right (throwing) hand and is expected to miss a minimum of four games. The normal recovery period for this injury is 6-8 weeks. Prescott’s absence will be a huge blow to the Cowboys’ offense, with all skill position players needing to be downgraded until Prescott returns. Elijah Mitchell (RB) San Francisco 49ers – (OUT) As soon as we saw the footage of Mitchell’s knee being bent in awkwardly we feared it was a serious MCL injury. That is indeed the case as the 49ers placed their starting running back on IR with a sprained MCL. That means Mitchell will miss at least four games but is expected to be absent for up to eight weeks. Jeff Wilson is the next man up and a must-add if he is on waivers in your league. Tyrion Davis-Price was a healthy scratch in the opener but will be active. The sneaky pickup may actually be undrafted rookie Jordan Mason, who made the opening day roster. With Kyle Shanahan’s history of finding late-round gold with running backs, Mason could be the next man up on Shanahan’s scheme. Keenan Allen (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – (OUT) Allen was felled by the dreaded hamstring injury. Although the injury itself isn’t considered serious, hamstring ailments have a notorious propensity for reoccurring. The best bet is for Allen to rest a week or two to get back to 100%. There is no chance he plays this week on short rest. DeAndre Carter should take over Allen’s slot role. Michael Pittman (WR) Indianapolis Colts – (OUT) Although he emerged from the tie with Houston fine, Pittman got hurt at practice on Wednesday. This is a worrisome situation because Pittman was ruled out so early. The Colts will also be without No. 2 WR Alec Pierce, who will miss Week 2 with a concussion. Parris Campbell appears to be the biggest benefactor in the short term. Najee Harris (RB) Pittsburgh Steelers – Harris exited in the fourth quarter of Pittsburgh’s Week 1 victory. His foot was injured and Harris limped off and was unable to return. While initial reports came back positive and Harris claims he’ll be ready to play in Week 2, there is cause for concern. Not only does Harris play a huge snap share for the Steelers, but he also dealt with a Lisfranc injury on the same foot this summer. Those injuries are difficult to heal without total rest. We’ll keep an eye on it but fantasy managers with a spare roster spot might want to consider adding Jaylen Warren via their waiver wire. Chris Godwin (WR) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – It wasn’t his surgically-repaired knee but an unrelated hamstring ailment that is going the shelve Godwin for the next few weeks. We were pretty surprised to see the star wideout be active in Week 1 and hate to see him absent again. The good news here is that his knee held up. As long as the hamstring fully heals, Godwin will be back on the weekly WR2 radar when he returns, hopefully in October. Tee Higgins (WR) Cincinnati Bengals – Higgins is in the league’s concussion protocol and is listed as day-to-day. He’s got a full week to be medically cleared. We’ll monitor his progress this week and have an update on the FullTime Fantasy Podcast. Mac Jones (QB) New England Patriots – Jones is also considered day-to-day after suffering from back spasms in New England’s Week 1 loss in Miami. He’s fully expected to be fine for Sunday but won’t be a recommended fantasy start against the stout Pittsburgh defense. J.K. Dobbins (RB) Baltimore Ravens – Dobbins was close to suiting up last week but was held out to get another week to heal. We will monitor his progress this week ahead of the Ravens’ matchup with Miami. Wan’Dale Robinson (WR) New York Giants – (OUT) It was a promising start for Robinson, who was in on the first nine snaps Sunday before hurting his knee. As of now, the injury isn’t considered serious. Add Robinson to the list of athletes listed as “day-to-day.” Damien Williams (RB) Atlanta Falcons – (OUT) After a promising start, Williams was forced from the game with a rib injury. In an update, Williams indicated he would be ok. Consider him questionable for Week 2. UPDATE: Williams has been placed on IR and will miss a minimum of four games. Ken Walker (RB) Seattle Seahawks – After sitting out Week 1 recovering from a hernia, Walker is expected to be active this week as the Seahawks travel to San Francisco. It’s completely unknown how much Walker will eat into Rashaad Penny‘s workload. Until we see how Pete Carroll divides up the touches, Walker should be left out of fantasy lineups. Ty Montgomery (RB) New England Patriots – (OUT) New England placed Montgomery on IR Tuesday. That means he’ll miss at least four games. Montgomery played six more snaps and ran nine more routes than Rhamondre Stevenson in Miami. But, with Montgomery sidelined for a month, expect Stevenson and Damien Harris to split the backfield reps 50/50. Kyren Williams (RB) Los Angeles Rams – (OUT) Williams hurt his ankle on Thursday and is expected to miss at least 6-8 weeks. His only value is in dynasty formats with larger rosters. Andre Roberts (WR) Carolina Panthers –(OUT) Roberts was placed on IR with a knee injury he re-aggravated in Week 1. Roberts only factors in as a returner but was among the best in the league on kick returns. Harrison Butker (PK) Kansas City Chiefs – (OUT) The Chiefs play on Thursday, which means Butker’s lack of practice participation is worrisome. Butker
Fantasy Football Injury Report

Injuries are an unfortunate and inevitable part of the game. FullTime’s fantasy football injury report updates you on all the fantasy-relevant injuries each week. Week 1 is unique in there aren’t as many recent injuries to account for. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t several key ailments that can have a huge impact on the opening slate of games. Here are the most notable injuries to monitor ahead of Week 1 of the 2022 NFL season. Fantasy Football Injury Report Chris Godwin (WR) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Reports on Godwin’s recovery from a torn ACL have been all over the place all year. Thus, his ADP has cycled up and down. This week, Godwin was seen on the practice field without a knee brace. This is obviously great news but his Week 1 status is truly unknown. The team and Godwin himself have expressed caution with an eye on being fully healthy in the second half of the season. There’s also no real need for the Buccaneers to rush the star wideout back with Julio Jones, Russell Gage, and Mike Evans being perfectly capable of picking up the slack. As for now, we wouldn’t insert Godwin into any fantasy lineups until we see him play full speed in more than a “decoy” role. Allen Lazard (WR) Green Bay Packers – Lazard was surprisingly absent from Packers practice with an unsiclosed injury. The veteran wideout also missed time last week but the extent of the mystery injury is unknown. It’s a bit worrisome but too early to tell if it will impact the Week 1 tilt with the Vikings. We’ll have an update in Discord later this week. Teammate Christian Watson (knee) is looking more than likely to play this week, but is well off the fantasy radar. Zach Ertz (TE) Arizona Cardinals – Ertz is listed as day-to-day with a calf injury. We ranked Ertz high in our 2022 fantasy football rankings but we approach Week 1 with caution. As long as he’s starting, Ertz should be a top-10 option in Week 1. With WR DeAndre Hopkins suspended, Ertz should be in for an increased target share whenever he’s on the field. Jaylen Waddle (WR) Miami Dolphins – Waddle missed a significant portion of the preseason with a soft-tissue leg injury but Dolphins’ head coach Mike McDaniel indicated the second-year wideout would be fine for Week 1. We’ve been wary of Waddle all summer due to unsustainable target share. Now, dealing with a frequently recoccuring soft-tissue ailment is even more worrisome. However, if you drafted Waddle, you start him against the Patriots. J.K. Dobbins (RB) Baltimore Ravens – Backfield injuries are nothing new for the Ravens. A year removed from tearing his ACL, Dobbins is still considered questionable to play versus the Jets this week. A video on Twitter picked up steam last week showing Dobbins limping after a drill. The club didn’t place Dobbins on the PUP list or IR as they did with teammate Gus Edwards, which is a positive sign. But, with Mike Davis and newly-signed Kenyan Drake available to carry the load in a game the Ravens are touchdown favorites, Dobbins is a very risky flex play in Week 1. Rondale Moore (WR) Arizona Cardinals – Moore returned to practice Monday after being sidelined last week. The undisclosed injury isn’t considered to be a threat to Moore’s Week 1 availability. Moore is a solid flex option in a game aginst the Chiefs with shootout potential. Isaiah McKenzie (WR) Buffalo Bills – McKenzie missed a week of practice with a groin injury but was a full participant on Monday. He’s slated to open the season as the Bills’ main slot receiver. Buffalo opens the NFL season on Thursday night in Los Angeles against the Rams. Zach Wilson (QB) New York Jets – Although there is a slight chance he’ll suit up against the Ravens, we’re expecting Joe Flacco to get the starting nod. Wilson had surgery on his knee after tweaking it during the Jets’ preseason opener. The sophomore signal caller has yet to practice since the injury. With Flacco more than capable of filling in- and maybe even offering an upgrade- we expect the club to proceed with caution. Flacco stating is a boost for Elijah Moore and the Jets’ pass-catchers. James Robinson (RB) Jacksonville Jaguars – A mere months since he ruptured his Achilles, James Robinson will be on the field in Week 1 for the Jags. This is quite a stunning recovery, but it’s one to approach with extreme caution. Just last season, Cam Akers defied odds by returning from an Achilles tear in less than a year but his explosiveness and speed was clearly impacted. Jacksovnille also has Travis Etienne fully healthy after his own serious injury that cost Etienne his rookie campaign. We’re expecting Etienne to be a strong weekly RB2 but are much more bearish on Robinson for 2022. The Jaguars travel to Washington to open the season as three-point dogs. Logan Thomas (TE) Washington Commanders – The Commanders removed Thomas (knee) from the PUP list and he’s considered questionable for Week 1. Thomas tore his ACL in Week 13, so he could be limited for some time, even if he’s active. For now, we would leave Thomas out of fantasy lineups for the foreseeable future. Van Jefferson (WR) Los Angeles Rams – LA’s third wideout, Jefferson has missed the entire summer with a knee injury and has not practiced ahead of Thursday’s game. Jefferson had a scope on his knee on August 4 and is the only player listed on LA’s injury report. He needs to be benched in all fantasy lineups. Ty Montgomery (RB) New England Patriots – Never trust Bill Belichick, who indicated that Montgomery could be cleared to start Week 1. Montgomery has been sidelined by an ankle injury and was expected to be out for a while. As of now, it’s hard to even define the roles that each of New England’s running backs might play. There’s just no way to know how the touches are going to be divided on a week-to-week basis. Rhamondre Stevenson stands to benefit
NFL Injury Report

The vast majority of season-long fantasy leagues have already concluded, but there is still a full 16-game slate of NFL action ahead in Week 18. With best-ball and daily fantasy leagues still going, staying abreast of the fantasy-relevant injuries is still important. Baker Mayfield (QB) Cleveland Browns – Mayfield has been playing with a torn labrum in his left (non-throwing) shoulder all season and will not play in Cleveland’s finale. Mayfield is expected to have surgery on his shoulder but may have played his last game in Cleveland. Case Keenum should be under center for the Browns. Lamar Jackson (QB) Baltimore Ravens – Baltimore has dropped their last two games without Jackson and is now on the fringes of the AFC wild-card hunt. The Ravens need a ton of things to go right to sneak into the seven seed, beginning with needing to knock off the Steelers at home. If Jackson can play, he’ll be out there, but he may be playing at less than 100%, and John Harbaugh could pull him if other games aren’t going Baltimore’s way. It’s a situation to avoid in DFS this week. Jimmy Garoppolo (QB) San Francisco 49ers – Trey Lance led the Niners to an easy victory over the Texans and will most likely be under center again the Rams. San Francisco has already clinched a wild-card spot and would do well to give Jimmy G. another week to rest for the postseason and get another week of evaluation for Lance. Jared Goff (QB) Detroit Lions – Goff has missed two games with a knee injury but was reportedly processing well last week. Odds are he’ll be in the lineup as long as he’s able to practice this week. Regardless of who starts, there’s not a lot of fantasy upside for the Lions’ passers as another lost season concludes. Teddy Bridgewater (QB) Denver Broncos – Listed as doubtful, a concussion will almost certainly assure that Drew Lock starts in a meaningless game for the Broncos. James Conner (RB) Arizona Cardinals – That heel injury kept our guy out again last week, but we’re hoping he’ll be back to conclude the regular season. That said, it makes more sense for Kliff Kingsbury to hold Conner out for the playoffs, so prepare for another busy week for Chase Edmonds. Michael Gallup (WR) Dallas Cowboys – Gallup tore his ACL making an end-zone TD grab and will miss the remainder of the season. Darren Waller (TE) Las Vegas Raiders – Sunday night’s tilt with the Chargers is a “win and in” game for the Raiders, so there’s a very good chance we’ll finally see Waller back on the field. The star tight end has missed a month with a knee injury and was on the reserve/COVID list last week. As long as Waller is cleared, he’s a top-5 fantasy option in the season finale. Miles Sanders (RB) Philadelphia Eagles – Sanders broke his hand and missed last week. With the Eagles already having clinched a wild-card berth, there’s no reason to think Sanders will be active in a game that has little real meaning for the club. However, the Eagles have been hit hard by COVID, so we’ll certainly be monitoring their backfield’s health ahead of Week 18. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB) Kansas City Chiefs – Andy Reid said that sophomore RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire could return from a shoulder injury but the Chiefs have a more-than-adequate backup in Darrel Williams and shouldn’t need CEH to knock off the Broncos. Odds are, Reid will opt to rest Edwards-Helaire until the playoffs. Ronald Jones, Ke’Shawn Vaughn (RB) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Both of Tampa’s top-2 back exited Week 17 early. Jones is supposed to have an MRI on his ankle injury, while Vaughn hurt his ribs. The Bucs are planning on playing all of their starters this week, which could be Le’Veon Bell if Jones and Vaughn are ruled out, as expected. Kareem Hunt (RB) Cleveland Browns – Best-ballers were hoping that Hunt (ankle) would be activated ahead of Cleveland’s Monday loss but with nothing on the line in Week 18, it wouldn’t make much sense for the Browns to play Hunt in a meaningless game. Michael Carter (RB) New York Jets – Carter exited last week after three carries with a concussion. He’ll have five days to clear the league’s protocol but has a tough matchup against Buffalo’s fearsome run defense. Practiced Thursday so that’s a good sign. Ricky Seals-Jones (TE) Washington Football Team – Seals-Jones also suffered a concussion and will most likely be held out of a meaningless season finale. RSJ had been passed by John Bates on the depth chart recently, anyway, so he’s well off the fantasy radar. Alex Collins (RB) Seattle Seahawks – Collins has been placed on IR and his season is over. This locks Rashaad Penny into lead-back duties in Arizona. Blake Jarwin (TE) Dallas Cowboys – Jarwin should be activated this week but is well behind Dalton Schultz in the pecking order. Perhaps the loss of Michael Gallup will result in more ’12’ sets but Jarwin can’t be trusted in fantasy lineups of any type. Robby Anderson (WR) Carolina Panthers – Remained sidelined during Thursday practice. (quad) Antonio Brown (WR) Free Agent – Bucs waived him on Thursday and will inevitably go unclaimed on waivers. Chase Edmonds (RB) Arizona Cardinals – Remained sidelined for Thursday practice. (toe) Players on the Reserve/COVID list Diontae Johnson (WR) Pittsburgh Steelers Justin Fields (QB) Chicago Bears Jordan Howard (RB) Philadelphia Eagles Boston Scott (RB) Philadelphia Eagles Dallas Goedert (TE) Philadelphia Eagles D’Ernest Johnson (RB) Cleveland Browns Brandon McManus (PK) Denver Broncos Jerry Jeudy (WR) Denver Broncos Tim Patrick (WR) Denver Broncos Micah Parson (LB) Dallas Cowboys – Won’t play. Mike Tagliere Memorial Playoff Challenge In honor of industry giant and close personal friend to our Jody Smith, this year’s playoff contest is in memory of Mike Tagliere from Fantasy Pros. “As you all know, the fantasy industry was dealt a devastating blow in September when we lost one of the most genuine people and finest football analysts ever in Mike Tagliere. I
