Fuego Steve’s NBA GPP Plays – 10/23/17

NBA GPP Plays  Prices listed are Fanduel unless otherwise noted.  My NBA articles will mostly focus on Fanduel lineup construction since besides center, you need to play two at each position. The players recommended are usually still good plays on DraftKings unless the pricing is drastically different. Also, many players on DraftKings have dual position eligibility or may be listed at a different position. I will try to mention if there is a specific good play on DK based on price or position eligibility. These are my favorite plays at each position and maybe a value play or two. Forgot kids were off school again. Here are my favorite plays. Will try and fill in commentary later. Listen to the live stream for analysis and updates.   Point Guard Mike Conley Goran Dragic John Wall Kemba Walker Dennis Smith Jr. Mike James   Shooting Guard Devin Booker James Harden Jeremy Lamb – now shooting guard on Fanduel Gary Harris Marco Belinelli   Small Forward T.J. Warren Dillon Brooks Tobias Harris Kyle Anderson Kevin Durant   Power Forward Ben Simmons LaMarcus Aldridge The Greek Freak Otto Porter – now power forward on Fanduel James Johnson   Center Willie Cauley-Stein Tyson Chandler Dwight Howard Nikola Jokic Andre Drummond  Tune in to the NBA Live Stream at 5 p.m. to get my updated thoughts on the slate. Week 7 NFL GPP Plays – Fuego Steve

The Fuego Pit I am slightly changing the format for my write up this week. I will narrow down players to more of a core group of guys. If players aren’t listed here it doesn’t necessarily mean they are bad plays. It just means I will not have a ton of exposure to them. Obviously, studs like Antonio Brown, Kareem Hunt and Le’Veon Bell are always in play. If I really don’t like a high-end player this week, I will mention I am fading them. I will list some of the top tiered options and a few value plays or players I may have a few shares of. These are the players I will have the most exposure to in my main GPP lineups.  QUARTERBACKS Matt Ryan and Tom Brady on Fanduel main slate – Think you have to get a piece of the night game if on the slate. These two are my favorite high-priced options. Lower priced options Tyrod Taylor – $7000 FD, $5100 DK – has decent floor and good ceiling versus a banged-up Tampa Bay defense Brett Hundley – $6500 FD, $5100 DK – I like his running ability and the Saints defense, although improved, still can be scored on.   RUNNING BACKS LeSean McCoy – This is the week he finally breaks out. Price still dropping as well. Ezekiel Elliott – Don’t think you can go wrong with Zeke vs San Fran. Play him while you still have the chance. Jay Ajayi – He did nothing against them the first game this year. Hopefully people will look at that and stay away. If they continue to feed him the rock he will do well. He gets in the end zone finally this week.   Lower priced options Adrian Peterson – $6300 FD, $5800 DK – Trusting Dr. Roto here that the Cardinals will keep giving him the ball. Looked spry last week. Hard to count out one of the greatest running backs of all time. He didn’t fit the Saints offense nearly as well as Arizona. Derrick Henry – $5600 FD, $5500 DK – Feel like he is almost a must play if Demarco Murray sits. Still a good play even if Murray is active. Chris Ivory – $5900 FD, $4800 DK – Already involved in the offense with Leonard Fournette healthy. He caught 9 passes on 10 targets last week. If Fournette sits great running back value.   WIDE RECEIVERS Adam Thielen – Still like him this week with no Diggs Michael Thomas – Favorite high end wide receiver this week. Julio Jones and Brandin Cooks on Fanduel – One or both should have good games in what could be a shootout in primetime. Jarvis Landry – (more on DK) – Has double digit DK points in every game this season. Huge floor. Lower priced targets Kenny Stills, Eric Decker, Rishard Matthews – Not many low-priced options I like this week. TIGHT ENDS Jimmy Graham – My number one tight end this week. He will be in most of my lineups. Think he could have a huge game against the Giants who aren’t good at stopping the tight end. Evan Engram – Same as last week “no one else to throw to for the Giants”. Hunter Henry – In the three games he has seven or more targets, he has 13-15 DK points. Maybe they are finally making the shift away from Antonio Gates. Lower priced targets George Kittle – $3600 on DraftKings – Has 17 targets the past two games. DEFENSE Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincy – Don’t mind them at home in a divisional game. The Bengals offense is improved but still nothing special. Minnesota Vikings vs Ravens – Joe Flacco is always good for a pick or two.    Tennessee Titans at Browns– Will be popular facing the Browns. Still don’t mind them. Lower priced targets Miami Dolphins vs Jets – Only $4300 on Fanduel. They should score more than the 5 points they put up against them a month ago. KICKERS – Fanduel only Pick one that fits your lineup. Usually pick kickers from games with good weather or in domes and with high over/unders. Who the heck knows. If I must… Adam Vinatieri is still min price and has been kicking well. Mason Crosby is $4600 and could get opportunities if Hundley and the offense stall. Justin Tucker as usual. Matt Bryant and Steven Gostkowski in the night game.

Got busy today, here are my favorite plays at each position, will try and fill in commentary later. Today may be a good day to go balanced as opposed to stars and scrubs. But can probably do either with this big slate.    Point Guard I like the tier below the top guys tonight Eric Bledsoe – $7500 Kemba Walker – $8000 Elfrid Payton – $7500 Dennis Smith Jr. – $6500 Darren Collison – $5600 Shooting Guard Higher end options; Devin Booker – $6700 Victor Olidipo – $7100 C.J. Fuego Steve’s NBA GPP Plays – 10/19/17

NBA GPP Plays 10/19/17 Prices listed are Fanduel unless otherwise noted. We have an interesting small three game slate tonight. It is hard to fade Russell Westbrook on such a small slate. I would rather lose with him, than not have him and he goes for 70 fantasy points. So how much does his fantasy value take a hit with the additions of Paul George and Carmelo Anthony? His scoring should go down a little, but his assists should stay the same or even go up. I am not finding a roster I love that does not have Westbrook in it. We will have to take a stand somewhere, but I don’t think it’s with Russell.   Point Guard Russell Westbrook – See above, almost must play on three-game slate. Kyle Lowry – The next best point guard on the slate, pairing him with Westbrook has big upside. Patrick Beverley – I like him at only $5400 taking over the point guard duties for the Clippers.   Shooting Guard Tim Hardaway Jr. – He’s $5500 and think he can do as well as Justin Holiday for $1000 less. The $4700 crew – Lou Williams, Norman Powell, and Jordan Clarkson are all $4700 on Fanduel. All three are in play and could even pair two of them to pay up at other positions. Demar Derozen – This is one of the spots I am taking a stand tonight. He has the upside, but I like other high-priced options better. I won’t fault you for playing him though.   Small Forward Paul George – He did well in the preseason playing with Westbrook. Don’t know who on the Knicks can guard him. C.J. Miles – We will have to pay down somewhere, if not playing George, small forward is the other option besides shooting guard to do so. Brandon Ingram – At $5800 he can get to 5x or 6x tonight. Prefer him over Danilo Gallinari who is $1000 more.   Power Forward Blake Griffin – Probably having him and Westbrook in the same lineup is the best way to attack the slate. Carmelo Anthony – Revenge narrative against former team the Knicks. He could go off. Kyle Kuzma or Larry Nance Jr.– The two low-priced options I like at power forward. Kuzma played well in the preseason and may take over down the line. But for now, they are almost interchangeable at $4800 and $4900.   Center Jonas Valanciunas – The lowest priced of the starting centers, has the same upside of all of them except maybe DeAndre Jordan. Robin Lopez – Priced $1800 less than his brother Brook, low floor, high ceiling. Enes Kanter – Priced slightly higher than teammate Willy Hernangomez should be one of lowest owned centers. I’m fading DeAndre Jordan – Priced too high for me tonight. I will be paying down at center. But he does have the highest ceiling of all centers on the slate.   I find most of my rosters have Westbrook, Griffin and one other stud. Either Lowry, George or Anthony is the question. If you have a strong feeling one way or the other go with your gut. If you are entering more than one lineup, I would mix it up. Afternoon only/4 pm – Week 5

Afternoon only/4pm –  Week 5 Green Bay Packers vs Dallas Cowboys (Cowboys -2.5, O/U 52.5) Oakland Raiders vs Baltimore Ravens (Raiders -3, O/U 40.5) L.A. Rams vs Seattle Seahawks (Rams -2, O/U 47) Quarterbacks Dak Prescott, Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson It’s going to be very hard for me to pull the trigger on any of the other three QBs playing in the afternoon game. I find myself landing on Prescott more than anyone based on his price. He has one less point than Rodgers over the past two weeks with similar game logs. Wilson is probably the most contrarian of the three. Prescott is in most of my lineups Running Back Todd Gurley, Ezekiel Elliott Trying my best to get Zeke in Gurley together in as many lineups as I can. This is pretty easy on Fanduel. On DK almost impossible to do and get Rodgers. I mix in some Marshawn Lynch in a few of them. Aaron Jones, Alex Collins, Thomas Rawls, Buck Allen are low end options If paying up at wide receiver could mix in some of these guys. They all make me nervous as they are splitting carries. If I knew the Seahawks were committed to Rawls would like him the best. Or, if the Ravens said we are giving Collins 15-20 carries would be all in on him. Wide Receiver Dez Bryant is a lock on DraftKings and get him in on Fanduel if you can He finally gets a matchup versus a below average secondary. He has had some tough matchups to start the year. Davante Adams or Michael Crabtree will be lower owned pivots. All Packers wide receivers, Randall Cobb more on Fanduel, Adams more on DK Doug Baldwin always in play for me Sammy Watkins, Cooper Kupp, and Roberts Woods, some cheaper options for GPPs Paul Richardson and Mike Wallace for GPP play   Tight End   Martellius Bennett and Jason Witten will be popular as they should be Jared Cook is mixed in with the above two, I have about 25% of each. No stand outs Jimmy Graham I have a few shares of for his upside Defense   I am all over the Oakland defense. (See my main slate article) They are in 75%+ of my lu Baltimore Ravens are mixed in a few as I have started to like them more, thinking about them facing E.J. Manuel   QB – More Dak than anyone RB – Zeke and Gurley on FD, one of them and a lower priced option on DK WR – Dez on DK, Cobb on FD, Adams hopefully low owned, Jordy for upside Baldwin lower owned than Dez and GB wide outs Watkins GPP play TE – Pick one to pair with your QB or mix em up Def – Mostly Oakland Kicker on Fanduel – Truly think all of them are in play
