Circa Survivor Report: Week 5

Circa Survivor Report: Week 5 CIRCA SURVIVOR WEEK 5: UPSETS LEAVE LESS 2% OF POOL ALIVE The madness ruling the NFL landscape continued in Week 5, as the ultimate ‘kiss of death’ of choosing the most popular selections KO’d 51.2% of the remaining Circa Survivor NFL $1,000 entry fee contest. Overall, 233 entrants were eliminated from winning a share of the life-changing prize. Contestants heavily invested in both touchdown-plus home favorites Seattle and San Francisco. However, for the fourth time in five weeks, the most-selected choice was a bad move as Seattle was upset to the dismay of 160 entrants. Seahawks suffer their second consecutive loss at the hands of the Giants! pic.twitter.com/kyw4h7tDn5 — FOX Sports: NFL (@NFLonFOX) October 6, 2024 Playing without both starting WR Malik Nabers and RB Devin Singletary, 33.3% of the pool faded a struggling Giants squad. However, the extremely short-handed Giants went into Lumen Field and shocked Geno Smith and the Seahawks 29-20. San Francisco was the second-most selected team as 86 entries selected Brock Purdy and the 49ers to beat Arizona at home. The @AZCardinals stun the 49ers on the road! 😤 pic.twitter.com/qQCQY9hnbE — FOX Sports: NFL (@NFLonFOX) October 6, 2024 However, the 49ers allowed James Conner and Kyler Murray to run for 169 yards and a touchdown on the ground, dashing the dreams of 17.9% of contestants. After being pummeled 42-14 last week by Washington, Arizona rebounded for a 24-23 come-from-behind win, proving once again that parity is the story of the 2024 NFL. After five weeks, only 221 (0.15%) of the starting 14,266 entries remain alive.’ Kansas City wins against New Orleans so nothing changes in the Circa Survivor contest! That officially concludes Week 5. 259 entries total got clipped this week putting the pool at just 221 entries #CircaSports #CircaSurvivor #SurvivorSweat pic.twitter.com/a1aOiweKd7 — Survivor Sweat (@SurvivorSweat) October 8, 2024 The anxiety will ratchet up to another level in Week 6 for the surviving entrants as Kansas City, Los Angeles Rams, Miami, and Minnesota are on bye. The Circa Survivor contest is a grueling contest which forces entrants to pick one winner every week, with no spread with one pivotal caveat. Entrants CAN NOT use the same team more than once during the course of the season. In the race for $14,266,000 – the biggest Survivor prize in history – those who will be competing in Week 6 will likely be heavily backing: Houston (-7) at New England and Philadelphia (-9) vs Cleveland. If those teams are unavailable to be used, things could get very tricky as 10 of the 14 games (71.4%) on the slate have a point spread of 4.5 points or less. We could potentially be looking at less than 1% of the pool alive after just six weeks of NFL action – something no one could ever have imagined. Circa Survivor Report: Week 4

Circa Survivor Report: Week 4 CIRCA SURVIVOR LESSON: NEVER TRUST THE NY JETS! Another week of NFL action, another popular selection takes out a large contingent of Circa’s Survivor NFL $1,000 entry fee contest. Contestants learned the hard way that the NY Jets franchise should NEVER be trusted. Despite being a touchdown-plus home favorite the Jets burned 110 entrants. Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix made history yesterday in their win vs the New York Jets: Nix became the 1st QB since 1970 to win a game when averaging less than 2.5 yards/attempt on 25+ attempts 😂 pic.twitter.com/9Au3Q3vxLA — NFL Retweet (@NFLRT) September 30, 2024 After winning two consecutive games, 17.1% of the pool backed Aaron Rodgers and Gang Green. However, the inept franchise was upset by rookie QB Bo Nix who set a dubious NFL record (see tweet above) 10-9 at MetLife stadium. Arizona was the fifth-most selected team as 36 entries selected Kyler Murray and the Cardinals to beat the Commanders at home. Circa Survivor Report: Week 3 WEEK 3 NFL MADNESS LEAVES ONLY 5% OF CIRCA SURVIVOR ENTRANTS ALIVE If you are still alive in Circa’s Survivor NFL $1,000 entry fee contest, consider playing Powerball this weekend. Following the Week 3 bloodbath, only 642 (5%) of the starting 14,266 entries remain alive. For the third consecutive week, upset madness in the NFL continued as several of the biggest home favorites on the board lost straight-up. 931 entries (24%) picked Deshaun Watson and the Browns to beat the previously winless Giants at home. However, the 7-point underdog G-Men pulled off a stunning 21-15 victory. #CircaSurvivor 2024 🏈🏆 Week 3 Selections 📄 Complete selections: https://t.co/bGqO1GQzx2 pic.twitter.com/GC39pvd4GJ — Circa Sports (@CircaSports) September 22, 2024 USE PROMO CODE: SAVE20 for 20% off our 6-month package and get INSTANT ACCESS to FullTime Fantasy’s Award-Winning fantasy football projections! In addition to the Browns, the Bucaneers were the next biggest knock-out blow to contestants as they took out another 667 entries (17.2%) aftter being upset by Broncos. The massacre did not end there as Las Vegas, who took out 2,304 entries last week when they upset the Ravens, eliminated 515 (13.3%) of the entrants in Week 3 when they lost 36-22 to Andy Dalton and the Panthers as a near touchdown home favorite. As if the home favorites going down wasn’t enough, the biggest road-favorrite of the week – the 49ers – broke the hearts of 69 entrants (1.8%) when they blew a 10-point lead over the final six minutes of the game. The 8-point home favorite, who 988 (25.5%) entrants picked, were upset 31-20 on Monday Night Football. In three weeks of action, Cincinnati was responsible for eliminating a total of 41.2% of the pool (5,883 contestants: 4,895 Week 1). The sweat is already on heading to Week 4 as the entrants battle for the biggest Survivor prize in history. Staff added: Week 4 has some games looking better than others including but not limited to… The 2-1 Jets (-7.0) host the 1-2 Denver Broncos. The 1-2 Cowboys (-4.5) visit the 1-2 New York Giants. The 1-2 SF 49ers (-10.5) host the 1-2 New England Patriots. The 3-0 KC Chiefs (-8.0) visit the 2-1 LA Chargers. Good luck chasing the dream! Circa Survivor Report: Week 2

Circa Survivor Report: Week 2 The parity in the NFL is wreaking havoc with Circa’s Survivor $1,000 entry fee Contest. For the second consecutive week, the BIGGEST betting favorite on the board was the MOST SELECTED team in the contest. Consequently, for the second straight week, that team was upset. 2,304 entries (26.5%) picked Lamar Jackson and the Ravens to beat Las Vegas at home. However, the 8.5-point underdog Raiders pulled off the biggest upset of Week 2 after earning the stunning 26-23 victory. #CircaSurvivor 2024 🏈🏆 Week 2 Selections 📄 Complete selections: https://t.co/csTKGuYaGd pic.twitter.com/uJfOyvrNTv — Circa Sports (@CircaSports) September 15, 2024 The record-breaking $14,266,000 million prize pool, despite not needing to cover any point spread, is proving impossible for even the best bettors to navigate. A total of 4,775 (55%) of the 8,675 remaining entries were eliminated in Week 2. Think the NFL is easy to predict? The Week 2 massacre concluded on Monday Night Football when the Falcons stunned the Eagles, 22-21, knocking out 785 (9%) of the entrants. In just two weeks of NFL games, 10,321 of the starting 14,266 entries have already been eliminated! This is historically shocking. After Week 2’s bloodbath, the highest percentage of entries have now been eliminated through Week 2. In 2022: 67.2% were eliminated after the first two weeks, but this year has topped them all taking out 72.8% of the contest after just 32 games. If you own one of the remaining 3,878 entries heading into Week 3 consider yourself fortunate. Late-Round Sleeper WR to Target

Late-Round Sleeper WR to Target with League-Winning Potential In FFWC World Championship Drafts, elite wide receivers dominate the first round due to the 3-WR and double-flex roster demand. In years past, fantasy managers went after workhorse running backs who
Zero RB Draft Targets

Zero RB Draft Targets In FFWC leagues, all fantasy managers must start with three wide receivers with the potential to start up to five if they choose to utilize the two flex positions. Recently, high-stakes players have commonly employed the “Zero Running Back” strategy. In this philosophy managers completely ignore the running back position instead opting to stock-pile elite wide receivers in the first four-to-six rounds. If you decide to employ that roster blueprint in 2024, here are three Zero RB Draft Targets who are coming off the board in the middle-to-late rounds you should look to target! James Conner, Cardinals (ADP 63 / RB18) Veteran James Conner will certainly lose carries to rookie Trey Benson but he will still have ample opportunity to sneak into back-end RB1/ RB2 status every week. He is being overlooked in drafts despite rushing for seven touchdowns and a career-best 1,040 yards last season. After missing four games due to injury, Conner was one the best PPR scoring backs in fantasy football from Week 10 -18. The eight-year veteran scored five touchdowns (3 rushing; and 2 receiving) while averaging 102 rushing yards over the last five games of the year. With a healthy Kyler Murray back under center for Arizona expect Conner, who has made 234 receptions for 1,803 yards and 10 touchdowns in 91 career games, to be productive in the Cardinals passing game. WOW 🤯🤯 What a play! One-handed touchdown grab by James Conner 🙌 📺: FOX pic.twitter.com/IvTc3yeLYo — FOX Sports: NFL (@NFLonFOX) December 31, 2023 David Montgomery, Lions (ADP 71.6 / RB22) Many argue that David Montgomery is the best handcuff in fantasy football this season. Is he really a handcuff though? In his first season in Mo-Town, Monty rushed for 1,015 yards while scoring the fifth-most touchdowns (13) in the NFL. Following the hamstring injury to Jahmyr Gibbs’ injury early in camp, the veteran could be the club’s bell-cow back early in the season. Hamstring injuries often tend to linger, so if you go WR-heavy early don’t be afraid to grab a potential featured back on a high-powered Lions offense that ranked third in total offense (6,712 yards) and second in offensive touchdowns (57) last season. The film does not lie. Watch the clip below. Although aging veteran Ezekiel Elliott stands atop Dallas’ depth chart, 26-year-old Rico Dowdle may be the best value among the two. Coming off the board in the 10th round or later in FFWC drafts, Dowdle is the perfect target for Zero-RB squads to outperform their ADP (126.9). Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy recently stated that training camp competition will determine who earns lead-back duties and he praised Dowdle’s contributions when he has been healthy. “He has shown flashes as a young player, but once he fought through those injuries, really, last year when he was given an opportunity, he played really good football for us,” said McCarthy. #Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy on the RB depth chart: “It needs to solve itself… that’s really up to the players.
