When we have questions on Sunday, this is who we call. We’re essentially bringing our high-stakes connections to FullTime Fantasy. When your league is on the line, who do you trust? A magazine that contains out-of-date news? No. Those days are over. Not all experts are considered equal. Starting with Jody Smith who has more than 14 years of content experience. Jody was also previously Fantasy Pro’s Most Accurate Rankings Expert. Also, Jody topped the betting leaderboards in 2020 and is a top-10 overall ranker for multi-year accuracy! He’s consistently been one of the best in the business for a long time! Finally, Jody recommended Jahmyr Gibbs last season and predicted Rachaad Whtie’s breakout. Let’s see what he forecasts this year with our 2024 Preseason Pro: Jody Smith. — BREAKOUT — Isiah Pacheco (RB) Kansas City Chiefs Identifying feature backs on good offenses is key to building winning fantasy rosters. With Jerick McKinnon gone, Isiah Pacheco has a clear path to a three-down role in one of the NFL’s most potent offenses. And it’s a role we already know Pacheco can thrive in. In his sophomore season, Pacheco saw a big boost in usage. Particularly as a receiver where he reeled in 44-of-49 targets. McKinnon accounted for an additional 32 targets. Nobody else on KC’s roster is a threat to usurp Pacheco on passing downs. Additionally, Pacheco focused all offseason on improving his pass-catching skills. Pacheco already proved he could be an elite producer. Despite missing three games, he posted RB15 fantasy numbers a year ago. However, it was his production in games where he had a workhorse role that is indicative that Pacheco has big-time upside. Including the postseason, Pacheco averaged 19.6 PPR points per game in the nine games he topped 20 touches. That would have ranked as the RB3 in 2023. With only Clyde Edwards-Helaire an unproven Deneric Prince behind him on the depth chart, Pacheco appears to be in line for massive usage. Finally, Pacheco will command most of the red-zone work in an offense that significantly improved in the offseason. Isiah Pacheco checks all the boxes to contend for top-5 fantasy RB numbers. Consequently, he’s my favorite breakout pick this summer. — SLEEPER — Christian Kirk (WR) Jacksonville Jaguars Maybe it’s last year’s second-half collapse that has early fantasy drafters avoiding Jacksonville. That seems like an egregious error. Even in a “down” year for Doug Pederson’s squad, the Jags offense ranked ninth in passing, 13th in scoring, and sixth with 65.5 plays per game. More importantly, Calvin Ridley and his 76/1,016/8 line on 136 targets are gone. The team did add Brian Thomas Jr. and Gabe Davis. However, Christian Kirk is this group’s clear top dog. Before Ridley’s signing, Kirk acted as Jacksonville’s No. 1 option and had a strong connection with QB Trevor Lawrence. Kirk finished as a fantasy WR1 in that role back in 2022. That season, he ranked top-15 in targets (133), grabs (84), yards (1,108), and scores (8). Thomas is a promising prospect but could take time to adjust to NFL-caliber defenses. Davis is the logical choice to replace Ridley as the club’s main deep threat. However, Davis is wildly inconsistent. It all adds up to a surplus of targets for TE Evan Engram and Kirk. Kirk is being selected outside of the top 30 wideouts in early fantasy drafts. He has a proven track record and will overcome the Jags’ tough strength of schedule with sheer volume. I believe Kirk will contend for top-15 fantasy numbers as the club’s No. 1 wideout. He’s one of my favorite sleepers to target in the middle rounds as a WR3. — BUST — De’Von Achane (RB) Miami Dolphins Before you tag @FantasyRecepits and @OldTakesExposed, hear me out. I love De’Von Achane. Think he’s an elite talent. However, I firmly believe he is being drafted above his ceiling. Therefore, he’s a player I expect to have little or no exposure to in 2024. That might not define the traditional “bust,” but the hype on Achane has lifted his ADP inside the top 20 overall. I don’t think people are considering the risk. First, Miami brought back Raheem Mostert. Although Mostert’s role in the passing game declined, he remained the team’s leading rusher. Especially in the red
Fantasy Football Sleepers: Week 2

Fantasy Football Sleepers: Week 2 After reinforcing your roster via the waiver wire and knowing who to start and sit, the next best way to increase your odds at a Week 2 victory is to know which players to target. Our Fantasy Football Sleepers: Week 2 is here to do just that. Plus, we’ve added some daily pricing info to appeal to also appeal to the DFS crowd. All Prices listed are at DraftKings for Week 2. Quarterbacks Baker Mayfield (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) $5200 Mayfield won over his teammates in Week 1 with his ability to read defenses and recognize signals. The Bears’ defense played uninspired in their home opener and I don’t see a defensive revival in Tampa. The loyal Bucs fans will be behind Mayfield and he’s always fueled by emotions. Brock Purdy (San Francisco 49ers) $5700 Many drafters ignored Purdy and he had an impressive Week 1 performance. The 49ers will push the ball more downfield this year and WR Brandon Aiyuk is coming into his own. I like the fast play at Sofi in this matchup and expect plenty of points. Running Backs Joshua Kelley (Los Angeles Charger) $5000 Austin Ekeler isn’t playing on Sunday. That means Joshua Kelley will get plenty of opportunities after an impressive showing in Week 1. Kelly has always had the talent and new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore will utilize his strengths. Also, this game has a ton of shootout potential. Kelley offers a very high floor for his cost. Isiah Pacheco (Kansas City Chiefs) $5700 I anticipate a high-scoring game in Jacksonville and could see Pacheco with a ton of touches. Pacheco just missed a rushing TD in Week 1 and I believe he will make up for that this week facing a vulnerable Jacksonville Jaguars defense. I’m buying Pacheco while his stock is low. Wide Receivers Trey Palmer (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) $3700 This is a gut feel call but I envision Palmer making an impact in the home opener for the Bucs. There were whispers during camp that Baker Mayfield was vibing with Palmer. The Chicago secondary was getting torched against the Packers. I expect that trend to continue in Week 2. Zay Jones (Jacksonville Jaguars) $4700 Zay Jones had an excellent camp and was oftentimes Trevor Lawrence’s most favorable target in the red zone. Jones is familiar with the playbook and Jacksonville’s play calling does an excellent job of integrating Jones into the mix as the third wideout. Also, Jones’s 62 Week 1 snaps were five more than Calvin Ridley played. Tight Ends Logan Thomas (Washington Commanders) $3100 Thomas has always been an impactful fantasy TE when healthy and that was evident against the Cardinals when Thomas led the Commanders with eight targets. With Denver’s impressive pass rush, Thomas may get many looks in what should be a gritty matchup versus the Broncos. Thomas’s 81.7% snap rate from Week 1 indicated he’ll be more involved in Week 2. Zach Ertz (Arizona Cardinals) $3500 With Josh Dobbs behind center and new to the system. Ertz serves as a nice safety valve in the matchup vs. the Giants. Ertz Week one 20.8% target rate was number one amongst all tight ends last week. Lastly, If you have time to prepare, make sure you mock in our Mock Draft World Championships. Jody was also previously Fantasy Pro’s Most Accurate Rankings Expert. Also, Jody topped the betting leaderboards in 2020 and submitted the 8th-most accurate draft rankings in 2021! Finally, Jody was way ahead of the consensus last season on Travis Etienne and Evan Engram. Let’s see what he forecasts this year with our 2023 Preseason Pro: Jody Smith. — BREAKOUT — Rachaad White (RB) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – It’s a new era in Tampa. Without Tom Brady, the Buccaneers are projected to be one of the worst teams in football. However, that doesn’t mean that there won’t be fantasy production in Tampa Bay. Last year’s overall RB12, Leonard Fournette, is no longer wearing pewter. That means sophomore running back Rachaad White is this unquestioned starter in 2023. Plus, the Bucs didn’t add any competition via the 2023 NFL Draft. This is White’s backfield and he fared well with an extended look to ramp up his rookie campaign. In his final eight games, White averaged 11.3 touches and 65 scrimmage yards per contest. Even splitting touches with Fournette, White still posted RB35 numbers as a rookie. A large part of that production came from targets. White ranked 11th among running backs with 50 receptions. However, Fournette ranked third with 73. The vast majority of those targets will now be intended for White. Rachaad White saw a target on 12.4% of his snaps in 2022, the 4th highest among RBs with 300+ snaps and just between Christian McCaffrey (12.5%) and Rhamondre Stevenson (12.2%)pic.twitter.com/N7cYbhJaCR — Scott Spratt (@Scott_Spratt) July 20, 2023 Of course, the Bucs won’t throw as much with Baker Mayfield under center. However, Mayfield has a history of peppering running backs with targets. Tampa Bay should see plenty of favorable game scripts for the passing attack. White is a dark horse to lead running backs in targets. That gives him real breakout potential in season two. — SLEEPER — Jahmyr Gibbs & David Montgomery (RB) Detroit Lions – The rebuilt Lions are no longer pushovers in the competitive NFC North. Fresh off a 9-8 campaign, Detroit is poised to make the playoffs for the first time since 2016. The biggest part of the turnaround was from the club’s offense. Detroit ranked fourth overall in yards and fifth in points scored. They also rushed for 22 touchdowns a year ago- third-most in football. And after spending the 12th overall pick on electric Alabama RB Jahmyr Gibbs, the 2023 Lions could be even more potent. In fact, the club was so enamored with Gibbs that they sent D’Andre Swift to Philadelphia. Swift posted RB17 numbers in PPR points per game last season. However, Gibbs is actually a better NFL prospect. Gibbs posted an elite 99th percentile 4.37-second 40-yard dash. He also forced a ton of missed tackles and showcased superlative footwork. PFF graded Gibbs as a top-10 pass-catching running back last season. I envision Dan Campbell and Ben Johnson utilizing Gibbs in a similar fashion as Swift. However, Gibbs is more explosive and less likely to be felled by the nagging injuries that hampered Swift throughout his Detroit tenure. Dating back to 2006, 10 of the 13 running backs selected inside the top 12 posted RB2 numbers or better in Year One. Also, Gibbs has already impressed with first-team reps this summer. He has a very good shot at posting top-10 numbers right away. As for David Montgomery, this staff proved last year that there is plenty of room for two backs. Detroit rushed for 2,179 yards and 23 scores. “No. 2” back Jamaal Williams ran for 1,066 yards and an NFL-high 17 touchdowns. Montgomery is a better receiver than Williams and also weighs 225 pounds. Montgomery should be able to parlay that same role into another solid fantasy campaign. Last season, Montgomery ranked 14th among all running backs with 17 touches (6 TDs) inside his opponent’s 10-yard line. He
Fantasy Football Sleepers: Week 2

Last week had its fair share of injuries and disappointing performances. Many fantasy footballers are resorting to the waiver wire already. Our Fantasy Football Sleepers: Week 2 helps you identify players who are in a good position to have solid outings in the second slate of games. Let’s take a look at some of those unheralded and under-the-radar starts that make solid fantasy football Sleepers: Week 2. Quarterbacks Carson Wentz (Washington Commanders) – Wentz is coming off a monster Week 1 in which he threw for 313 yards and four touchdowns. This week, his matchup may somehow get even better as he goes from the Jaguars to a Lions team who just had 38 points dropped on them by the Eagles. The weapons and the matchup are there for Wentz, he should be a viable option this week. Davis Mills (Houston Texans) – In 2021, Mills was the best rookie quarterback in the league and he continued to show growth last week. He’s not a world-beater, but he posted 240 yards with two TDs and no picks. This week he gets the Broncos who just made Geno Smith look like an All-Pro and they lost star safety, Justin Simmons. There isn’t a ton of upside here, however, he could be a solid QB2 in SuperFlex leagues. Running Backs Rhamondre Stevenson (New England Patriots) – After a disastrous Week 1 from a usage standpoint, the fantasy world is down on Stevenson. He could pull a full 180 this week. When you watch the Patriots play he looks like the best playmaker on a team that desperately needs one. With Ty Montgomery now on IR, his 37% snap count and six opportunities are up for grabs. Stevenson is projected to now be the top pass-catching back in New England barring a surprise emergence of Pierre Strong who struggled all summer. Stevenson will gradually see an increased role and the first big jump should be this week. Khalil Herbert (Chicago Bears) – Herbert saw nine carries last week compared to David Montgomery’s 17. Montgomery could only muster up 26 yards on 1.5 yards per carry. However, Herbert posted 45 yards at 5.0 yards per carry. It was with consistency as his longest carry was only 12 yards. When you watch these two backs run it’s clear who the more explosive rusher is. Even with limited touches, he has fantasy value and it’s hard to imagine his touches not consistently climbing moving forward. Rex Burkhead (Houston Texans) – Despite Burkhead getting 14 carries to Dameon Pierce’s 11, seeing eight targets to Pierce’s one, and appearing to be the goal-line back, Pierce is consistently ranked higher and started over Pierce on most platforms. The fantasy world may not be happy about it, but Burkhead is clearly the RB1 in Houston right now. A smart owner will put their emotions aside and treat him as such until something changes. Tyler Allgeier (Atlanta Falcons) – If Damien Williams is sidelined, and he’s yet to practice this week after getting knocked out early in Week 1, Allgeier becomes an interesting option. Before getting injured last week, Williams played the first 10 snaps of the game and saw two carries. This is the game plan the Falcons want to deploy. Unfortunately, Allgeier was inactive last week, but he should slide into the role this week. He is the deepest sleeper on this list. Nevertheless, he could be a tourney-winning type of DFS play. Wide Receivers Jahan Dotson (Washington Commanders) – For whatever reason, it appears to be lost on people that Dotson was a fairly high first-round pick this year. He was picked before Treylon Burks, but fantasy managers have never treated him like it. If any of the other top rookie wideouts had caught two TDs last week, fantasy owners would be going nuts. Just because he wasn’t talked up prior to the draft doesn’t mean he’s not as good or has less draft capital. It’s time to start showing him some respect and considering that he may be the real deal. He could light it up this week in a great matchup against the Lions. Donovan Peoples-Jones (Cleveland Browns) – DPJ led all Browns with 11 targets in Week 1 and it wasn’t close. Amari Cooper finished second with six. There is a real chance that he’s Jacoby Brissett’s guy. The matchup this week lines up perfectly for him too. The Jets have one good player in their secondary and Sauce Gardner is likely to be locked on Cooper. Gardner isn’t good, he’s outstanding. This could lead to another high-target game against a team who doesn’t have the talent to stop him. Devin Duvernay (Baltimore Ravens) – The assumption is Rashod Bateman is the clear-cut WR1 in Baltimore and nobody is close. However, that’s just a projection because he hasn’t done it yet. What if he’s not and Duvernay is right there with him? Bateman caught two of five targets for 59 yards and a TD while Duvernay caught all four of his targets for 54 yards and two TDs. The usage is nearly identical and Duvernay was more efficient. It could be a fluke, but maybe it’s not. Also, Bateman is expected to be shadowed by Xavien Howard while Miami is without their starting CB2. This matchup lines up well for Duvernay. Kyle Phillips (Tennessee Titans) – Phillips was the rookie wideout talked up all summer in Tennessee, not Treylon Burks. Then he came out in Week 1 and Phillips led the team in targets, receptions, and yards. He may be the WR1 in Tennessee. Just because we didn’t see it coming doesn’t mean it isn’t so. He has a shot to be a major PPR contributor and everything we’ve seen and heard points to him being well ahead of Burks and Robert Woods. Tight Ends Taysom Hill (New Orleans Saints) – Hill isn’t a tight end, but he is tight end eligible. There are so many
