Def vs WR Matchups Report

This Fantasy Football tool shows you how well (or how poorly) each pass defense is performing against each position this NFL season.
Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 9

The 2022 fantasy football season is now halfway complete. The must-win territory is approaching. Our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 9 picks help you identify values to target and fades to avoid. It is also crucial to know which waiver wire pick to make and to stay up-to-date on the injury report. Here are our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 9 picks. QUARTERBACKS Start ‘Em Trevor Lawrence (Jacksonville Jaguars) After a solid start to the season, Lawrence has been bad the past five weeks. However, he’s had a tough schedule facing teams like the Eagles, Broncos, Colts, and Giants. That’s a brutal run. The only seemingly positive matchup was against the Texans and they are third-toughest against fantasy quarterbacks. This week he should bounce back against the Raiders, who are allowing the second-most fantasy points to QBs. Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) Speaking of quarterbacks who have been bad, Rodgers has been a disaster this season. He would have to have a tremendous matchup for us to recommend you start him and this week is just that against the Lions. They are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks and were absolutely torched by Tua Tagovailoa last week. Tua is of course a much better option than Rodgers, but Rodgers is more than capable of giving you low-end QB1 numbers this week against the Lions. Sit ‘Em Jared Goff (Detroit Lions) Goff is coming off a great game against Miami, nevertheless, don’t fall into that trap this week. This week the Lions are playing the Packers who are allowing the second-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks. Goff has shown this year that he is a matchup-based option with a wide range of outcomes. This is a bad matchup that could be a disaster game for your fantasy team if you start him. Tom Brady (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) It’s tough to trust Brady right now. He may get back on track, but you need to see it before you throw him back in your starting lineup. He takes on the Rams this week who are allowing the seventh-fewest fantasy points to QBs. This isn’t the game to roll the dice and hope for a bounce back. RUNNING BACKS Start ‘Em Tyler Allgeier (Atlanta Falcons) Cordarelle Patterson could return this week. Even if he does, Allgeier should still be a strong start. The Falcons play the Chargers this week who have allowed the second-most fantasy points to running backs this season. In just seven games they’ve given up 897 yards and seven TDs on the ground alone. It would be a surprise if he doesn’t push 100 yards and find the end zone this week. A.J. Dillon (Green Bay Packers) As bad as the Lions are at stopping the pass, they are somehow even worse against the run. Dillon has been a massive disappointment this season. But he should get it going this week. Dillon is still averaging over 10 carries and three targets per game. That is more than enough to have a fantasy-viable day against Detroit. This should be his best game of the season as he should top 70 yards and have a shot to find the end zone for the first time since Week 1. Sit ‘Em Michael Carter (New York Jets) The first week without Breece Hall did not go well for New York. Carter managed just 26 yards on the ground, and James Robinson will probably be more involved this week. Carter did manage 35 scoreless yards through the air as well. Granted, it was a tough matchup in a game they were trailing against the Patriots. Things won’t be any easier this week against the Bills who will likely blow the Jets out and are allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to running backs this season. Also, no team has allowed fewer rushing yards. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (Kansas City Chiefs) This is a combination of a lack of opportunity and a terrible matchup. Fantasy owners have to get past CEH’s outstanding September because he certainly has. It’s been four weeks since he’s topped 35 total yards or hit double-digit carries. Now he’s been demoted to the RB2 on the depth chart and he’s taking on the Titans who have allowed the fewest fantasy points to running backs this season. WIDE RECEIVERS Start ‘Em Joshua Palmer (Las Angeles Chargers) With Mike Williams sidelined and Keenan Allen’s health a question mark this week, Palmer needs to be in your starting lineup. There is a real chance he serves as the WR1 if Allen is still less than 100 percent. Beyond opportunity, the matchup is fantastic as well. The Falcons are allowing the second-most fantasy points to wideouts this season. They’ve allowed the most yards to the position. Also, their 12 TDs allowed are second only to Pittsburgh’s 13. Devin Duvernay (Baltimore Ravens) Duvernay finds himself with a ton of opportunity as well coming off a big game last Thursday night. Rashod Bateman will be sidelined for a while and Mark Andrews could be out as well. Duvernay is a good start with just Bateman out and a great start without Andrews as well. Last week he caught four passes for 31 yards and rushed for 33 yards and a TD. This week he draws the Saints who are allowing the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing wideouts. Mecole Hardman (Kansas City Chiefs) It was tough deciding whether or not Hardman should be a start or sleeper this week, but here he is. He’s quietly been very good for Kansas City this season outside of two dud games. He’s seen at least four targets in three straight games and all three games reached 70 yards or scored a TD. This feels gross and there is a risk here, but the numbers don’t lie. Especially against a Titans team that is allowing the fourth most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. Sit ‘Em Jakobi Meyers (New England Patriots) It’s going to be another Rhamondre Stevenson game for
Trade Deadline Fantasy Impact

Normally the NFL trade deadline passes with little fanfare. That wasn’t the case in 2022. Several blockbuster deals happened. Let’s break down the trade deadline fantasy impact of each deal. Also, don’t forget to check out our updated Week 9 fantasy football rankings. T.J. Hockenson to Minnesota – The deal that got the wild day started was also the most surprising. After losing Irv Smith for likely the rest of the season, the Vikings sent a 2023 second and 2024 third-round pick to the Lions for the 25-year-old Hockenson. Detroit also tossed in a pair of fourth-rounders to make the deal work. This appears to be a lateral move for Hockenson. While Minnesota is clearly a better landing spot, Detroit ranks 7th in passing versus 11th for the Vikings. At best, Hockenson remains third on the target pecking order. However, the volume could slip a bit but Hockenson remains a solid top-10 fantasy option. Nyheim Hines to Buffalo –Hines was traded from the Indianapolis Colts to the Buffalo Bills for Zach Moss and a conditional sixth-round pick, per Tom Pelissero of NFL.com. Moss is signed through 2023, and Hines is under contract for two more seasons at base salaries of $4.45M in 2023 and $5.14M in 2024. Immediate impact: Devin Singletary is the biggest loser of this trade. As Buffalo’s RB1. First, he was RB#28 on the year, averaging 11.1 fantasy points per game in PPR leagues with a 69.8% snap share. Most of his success in 2022 has been in the receiving game. Secondly, Singletary has run 151 routes or 5th most at the running back position. He has had a 55.7% route participation, or 8th most, and he’s seen 12.4% target share, for 14th most at the running back position. Finally, Singletary should be relegated to first and second downs with the occasional target and is immediately an RB3 moving forward. Hines immediately steps into the receiving back role for the Bills. In 2021 he was the 12th most targeted running back and in 2022, is the 16th most targeted back in 2022 despite missing week six and nearly all of week 5 due to a concussion. Also, Hines is a very productive pass catcher. Hine leads the league with an 89.3% catch rate. Also, he is 7th in yards per route run at 2.14, 17th in yards per reception at 7.5, and 11th in the league in receiving yards at the running back position. Conversely, Hines should be considered a high-end RB3 moving forward with RB2 upside every week in one of the most electric offenses in football. Deon Jackson is the biggest winner of this trade. With Jonathan Taylor banged up, Jackson may be in for a large workload in week 9 and may carry weekly flex appeal moving forward. In Taylor and Hines’s absence, Deon Jackson finished as the RB#1 in week six against Jacksonville, where he rushed the ball 12 times for 42 yards and a score. Also, Jackson produced 10 receptions for 79 yards through the air for 28.1 PPR points. Jackson is a weekly RB3 with RB1 upside. – Billy Muzio Chase Edmonds to Denver – As part of an even bigger trade involving Bradley Chubb to Miami, the Broncos bolstered their backfield by acquiring Chase Edmonds from Miami. Edmonds joins an already crowded committee in Denver, which also stars Melvin Gordon and Latavius Murray. This move can only help Edmonds, who hasn’t topped double-digit touches since Week 1. Expect the Broncos to stick with a frustrating committee approach. However, Edmonds is a proven pass-catcher who has the chance to emerge as a decent flex option down the stretch. Also, Edmonds will have an extra week to acclimate himself to the offense and altitude. Overall, we consider this an upgrade to Edmonds’s sagging fantasy value. Jeff Wilson to Miami –Wilson was traded to the Miami Dolphins for a 2023 5th-round pick, per Adam Schefter. The trade was a domino effect that fell into place 12 days after the San Francisco 49er’s traded away the kitchen sink for running back Christian McCaffrey and hours after the Dolphins traded a first-round pick and Chase Edmonds to the Broncos for pass-rusher Bradley Chubb. Immediate Impact: Jeff Wilson will join his old teammate Raheem Mostert and old offensive coordinator (now head coach) Mike McDaniel’s in Miami. Wilson filled in admirably during Elija Mitchell’s absence. He totaled 468 rushing yards, 91 receiving yards, and 2 touchdowns during that span. Wilson is a big-play threat. He is running back number 8 on the year in breakaway runs with 8 in total, RB#10 in breakaway rate at 8.7% and he’s averaging 5.5 yards per touch. Wilson will most likely be a part of a two-man committee with Mostert moving forward, where both backs should see close to a 50/50 split. Both Wilson and Mostert will be RB3s moving forward with RB2 touchdown dependency upside. – Billy Muzio Chase Claypool to Chicago- The Bears gave up a second-rounder for Claypool. This seems excessive considering how cheap it is to acquire veteran wideouts. Not to mention, Chicago ranks dead last in passing. Claypool might get a boost in target share as the unquestioned No. 2 but the quality of those looks is a different matter. Conversely, this is a downgrade for Claypool’s fantasy value but a big win for the Steelers’ rebuild process. Zack Moss to Indianapolis – Moss was part of the deal that sent Hines to Buffalo. With the Bills, Moss’s playing time had disintegrated down to a 15% snap share for the season. Now buried behind Jonathan Taylor, Moss will vie for RB2 reps with Deon Jackson. Calvin Ridley to Jacksonville – The Jaguars have been looking to acquire an Alpha to pair with Christian Kirk. Mission accomplished. However, it won’t help the Jags in 2023. Ridley is serving a one-year suspension but should be back on the WR3 radar next spring. Considering the lack of volume in Atlanta’s offense, this might be a slight upgrade for Ridley’s fantasy value. ENTER OUR WEEK 9 DRAFT CONTEST! How it
Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

As usual, injuries had a big impact on fantasy football lineups last week. Our Fantasy Football Injury Rundown goes though all the fantasy-relevant injuries you need to be aware of. Here are the key fantasy-relevant injury situations we’ll be monitoring. Both for this week’s action and moving forward. Also, be sure to check out our Week 9 waiver wire and FAAB recommendations. Cooper Kupp (WR) Los Angeles Rams – The entire fantasy community can breathe a sigh of relief. Kupp appears to have avoided serious damage to his ankle. Sean McVay called his star wideout “day-to-day,” which is very good news considering the initial look of the injury. We’ll monitor Kupp’s practice status all week and update it in Discord. Keenan Allen (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – Allen hurt his hamstring back in Week 1 and didn’t return until Week 7. He was only in on 32% of LA’s snaps in that game. What is more concerning is that Allen has the Week 8 bye to get healthy. Yet, the aging veteran was absent from practice Monday. The Chargers desperately need Allen back in the lineups with Mike Williams expected to miss a month. This will be one of the most important injuries to monitor ahead of Week 9. DK Metcalf (WR) Seattle Seahawks – In a shocker, Metcalf not only played in Week 8 but found the end zone. After reports dropped that Metcalf had hurt his patellar tendon, he was expected to miss 1-3 weeks. Instead, he recovered in days and was back on the field. At this point, Metcalf might be less than 100% but there’s no reason to think he won’t be back to face the Cardinals on Sunday. Rashod Bateman (WR) Baltimore Ravens – After re-injuring his foot, Bateman will be sidelined for multiple weeks. Devin Duvernay will now act as Baltimore’s No. 1 wideout. Bateman is not on Injured Reserve. Also, that puts fantasy managers in a bind. With that, teams struggling through early bye weeks and playoff contention may have to consider cutting Bateman. Mark Andrews (TE) Baltimore Ravens – Andrews is still dealing with a knee injury and added a shoulder ailment to his troubles last week. The team doesn’t seem overly concerned but if Andrews is limited, Isaiah Likely becomes an interesting streaming option to consider. Gus Edwards (RB) Baltimore Ravens – Yet another injured Raven. Running back Gus Edwards is dealing with a sore hamstring and has been listed as questionable. The soft-tissue injury is considered minor, but hamstring injuries are notoriously easy to reoccur. For now, we tentatively expect Edwards to suit up this week. D’Andre Swift (RB) Detroit Lions – Swift received just 15.2% of Detroit’s rushes in his first game back. The third-year back is still working his way back from ankle and shoulder ailments and will be eased back into action. However, it might take a few games for Swift to approach the kind of workload he saw in Week 1. Until then, consider Swift and Jamaal Williams solid weekly RB2s. Chuba Hubbard (RB) Carolina Panthers – Hubbard missed Week 8 with an ankle injury. This led to D’Onta Foreman‘s huge outing. Hubbard says he’ll be back in Week 9 which should result in more of a split backfield. Both Panters’ backs are flex worthy. Irv Smith (TE) Minnesota Vikings – An ankle injury will sideline Smith for the next 8-10 weeks. This, and the club’s trade for T.J. Hockenson, effectively ends Smith’s fantasy season. Nico Collins (WR) Houston Texans – Houston hosts Philadelphia on Thursday. That means that Collins (groin) has next to zero shot at playing in Week 9. Considering how bad Houston’s offense has looked, fantasy managers strapped for roster flexibility can probably just send Collins to the waiver wire. ENTER OUR WEEK 9 DRAFT CONTEST! Fantasy Football Recap Week 8

After a one-week hiatus, the Fantasy Football Recap Week 8 is back. Speaking of returning from a layoff, welcome back to the fray offensive production! Week 8 had some massive fantasy performances and even Kyle Pitts managed to score a touchdown. In the opening slate of Sunday action, the OVER went 5-2. Also, home teams were 6-1 straight up and 5-2 against the spread. Not only did it feel like there was more action in Week 8, but the initial numbers prove it. Conversely, it was an exciting end to the second month of the NFL season. And, it was a great way to cap off what was an exhausting week. Welcome Back As the Welcome Back Kotter theme song plays in my head, I’m still reeling from a week of travel. I was out of town from very early Monday and had a busy week of presentations and data. I’ll admit, I ate well and enjoyed some adult treats but it was a difficult week for my routine. After seven weeks of the same weekly process centering around football, I was a bit rattled ahead of Week 8. Don’t get me wrong- we were in good hands here at FullTime Fantasy. My partner Billy Muzio stepped up and took care of the waiver wire. The Godfather himself, Scott Atkins also outworked the Sweathogs. Of course, I was still involved in the process. I just had to pull some late-night shifts and do more behind-the-scenes labor than usual. Admittedly, I was in a bit of a brain fog toward the latter part of the week. Hundreds of miles of travel and little sack time will do that. But it’s good to be back to that normal routine. Who’d have thought they’d need ya? Back here where we need ya. Backfield Breakdown With so few teams employing a workhorse running back, it is essential for us to track how coaches divide their backfield touches. Here are the fantasy opportunities from some of Sunday’s backfields. Opportunities means carries plus targets. Arizona – Eno Benjamin 58 snaps, 14 opp.; Darrel Williams 21 snaps, 8 opp. Chicago – David Montgomery 56 snaps, 18 opp.; Khalil Herbert 22 snaps, 16 opp. Dallas – Tony Pollard 30 snaps, 15 opp.; Malik Davis 19 snaps, 10 opp. Denver – Melvin Gordon 34 snaps, 12 opp.; Latavius Murray 27 snaps, 12 opp. Detroit – D’Andre Swift 33 snaps, 10 opp.; Jamaal Williams 22 snaps, 13 opp. Jacksonville – Travis Etienne 57 snaps, 27 opp.; JaMycal Hasty 16 snaps, 8 opp. Los Angeles Rams – Darrell Henderson 24 snaps, 6 opp.; Ronnie Rivers 21 snaps, 12 opp.; Malcolm Brown 13 snaps, 5 opp. New England – Rhamondre Stevenson 49 snaps, 23 opp.; Damien Harris 31 snaps, 13 opp. New York Jets – Michael Carter 33 snaps, 14 opp.; James Robinson 14 snaps, 5 opp.; Ty Johnson 18 snaps, 4 opp. Philadelphia – Miles Sanders 29 snaps, 9 opp.; Kenneth Gainwell 14 snaps, 2 opp.; Boston Scott 13 snaps, 7 opp. Week 9 Preview Week 9 byes: Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, New York Giants, Pittsburgh, San Francisco Lines courtesy Draftkings Philadelphia at Houston (+13) Indianapolis at New England (-6.5) Green Bay at Detroit (+3.5) Los Angeles Chargers at Atlanta (+3) Buffalo at New York Jets (+12.5) Minnesota at Washington (+3) Carolina at Cincinnati (-9) Seattle at Arizona (-3) Miami at Chicago (+4.5) Las Vegas at Jacksonville (PK) Los Angeles Rams at Tampa Bay (-2.5) Tennessee at Kansas City (-11) Baltimore at New Orleans (+3) The 2022 NFL season is well underway but it’s not too late to get access to the best help out there! Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 8

We are nearing the halfway point of the 2022 campaign. That makes these crucial mid-season games ‘ must-win’ territory for contenders. Our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 8 picks help you identify values to target and fades to avoid. It is also crucial to know which waiver wire pick to make and to stay up-to-date on the injury report. Here are our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 8 picks. QUARTERBACKS Start ‘Em Daniel Jones (New York Giants) Jones is coming off a monster game last week in which he threw for over 200 yards and a touchdown and rushed for over 100 yards and a TD. This week he takes on the Seahawks who have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Not only that, but they’ve also allowed the sixth-most rushing yards to quarterbacks this season. This matchup lines up perfectly for Jones and he appears to be getting more comfortable in the Giants’ new system every week. Jared Goff (Detroit Lions) The Dolphins’ secondary is ravaged by injuries and they are already allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to QBs. Goff should also be getting Amon-Ra St. Brown and D’Andre Swift back which should help him immensely. The biggest factor is the Dolphins’ secondary though. Their second-string through sixth-string quarterbacks are out injured as is their starting safety, Brandon Jones. They can’t stop any passing attack right now. Sit ‘Em Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) We shouldn’t have to put Rodgers in here again, but people seem to still be stuck on his name. He’s still being ranked as a top-15 guy and there is no excuse for that this week. He will be without his top receiver Allen Lazard and is going up against the best defense in football. He should be nowhere near a starting lineup this week. Geno Smith (Seattle Seahawks) Smith may be the biggest surprise of the year. He’s far exceeded expectations. However, this is a tough matchup against the Giants this week, especially without D.K. Metcalf who is out with a knee injury. The Giants are allowing the 13th-fewest fantasy points to the QB. Over the past two weeks, the Giants’ defense has allowed one total passing TD against Lamar Jackson and Trevor Lawrence. RUNNING BACKS Start ‘Em D’Onta Foreman (Carolina Panthers) You don’t have to start either Panthers’ running back this week. However, if you’re going to Foreman is the guy to plug in. Last week, Foreman out-carried Chuba Hubbard 15-9, nonetheless, those numbers may be a bit skewed because Hubbard left early. He left early because of an ankle injury that could slow him down this week, which is a reason to go with Foreman. The biggest reason is that Foreman is so clearly better when you watch both of them. He will emerge as the RB1 soon. Tyler Allgeier (Atlanta Falcons) Allgeier is beginning to look the part of an NFL RB1. Last week, he out-snapped Caleb Huntley 29 to 11 and out-carried him 16 to six, rushed for 50 yards, and found the end zone. The numbers aren’t amazing, but he looks more comfortable out there and is getting the goal-line work now. He also has a great matchup against Carolina who are giving up the eighth-most fantasy points to running backs. Sit ‘Em Aaron Jones (Green Bay Packers) There isn’t a Packer who should be started this week. The Bills are the most dominant defense in the NFL and are allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points to running backs. Don’t be distracted by a strong fantasy week for Jones. He has been slumping for weeks and this offense is going to struggle mightily this week. Editor’s note: Obviously this depends on your ability to field a complete lineup during a bye week. Make sure to ask your questions in our Discord this week and we’ll help you decide whether you can sit the great Aaron Jones in this brutal matchup. Gus Edwards (Baltimore Ravens) There is going to be a lot of hype surrounding Edwards this week coming off a two-TD season debut. However, while he should be on your roster he shouldn’t be in your lineup. Beyond a tough matchup against the Bucs, a lot of the numbers weren’t great for Edwards last week. He only played 23 total snaps (36%). He was also in a favorable game script where the Ravens could run the ball 44 times and he didn’t catch a pass. WIDE RECEIVERS Start ‘Em Brandin Cooks (Houston Texans) Cooks has a great matchup this week against the Titans who are allowing the second-most fantasy points to wideouts. The Texans WR2 Nico Collins is also dealing with a groin injury so he could miss this game or be limited. This could open more targets in this great matchup. Wan’Dale Robinson (New York Giants) With Jones comes his WR1 Robinson, who is clearly a talented rookie and a potential PPR machine. Last week he led all Giants with eight targets. His role and his production will get greater each week. He’s an excellent weekly flex option in all PPR leagues. D.J. Moore (Carolina Panthers) With Robbie Anderson and Christian McCaffrey shipped out of Carolina last week, Moore had his best game of the season. He saw double-digit targets for just the second time this season and caught seven passes for 69 yards and a TD. All of which were season highs. Falcons top corner A.J. Terrell is also injured and expected to miss this one making Moore’s day much easier. Sit ‘Em Jakobi Meyers (New England Patriots) Meyers will likely be lined up against Sauce Gardner this week (Jets rank 13th most difficult against WR1s for the season) and the Patriots don’t even know who their quarterback will be. I know who it won’t be, anyone good enough to make me start Meyers against Sauce. Courtland Sutton (Denver Broncos) If Sutton thought he had it bad with Russell Wilson this season things got a lot worse last week. Not only is
Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

As usual, injuries had a big impact on fantasy football lineups last week. Our Fantasy Football Injury Rundown goes though all the fantasy-relevant injuries you need to be aware of. Here are the key fantasy-relevant injury situations we’ll be monitoring. Both for this week’s action and moving forward. Also, be sure to check out our Week 8 waiver wire and FAAB recommendations. Ezekiel Elliott (RB) Dallas Cowboys: Elliott is dealing with a hyperextended right knee that has caused swelling and bruising. He is expected to sit in Week 8. The one time Tony Pollard played without Zeke, he posted 31 fantasy points! Matt Ryan (QB) Indianapolis Colts: Ryan suffered a Grade 2 shoulder sprain. However, he was benched in favor of Sam Ehlinger and the coach made it clear it was a benching. Ehlinger brings more mobility to the position. Russell Wilson (QB) Denver Broncos: It was revealed this weekend that Russ did have a slight tear in his hamstring. This makes his timeline for a return very murky. Breece Hall (RB) New York Jets: Hall continued to look every bit the prospect he was projected to be in Week 7 until he went down with a knee injury. Unfortunately, the team has announced he tore his ACL and did some damage to his meniscus which will cost him the remainder of the season. He will hope to be ready for Week 1 next season. However, the team did trade for James Robinson (for a conditional sixth-round pick) who has been struggling recently with the Jaguars with an apparent knee injury. His presence will reduce the workload for Michael Carter who has flashed well in a lightning roll to Hall’s thunder, which leaves J-Rob as a low-end flex option. Mike Boone (RB) Denver Broncos: Boone has been sent to IR with an ankle injury. This will open up more touches for Melvin Gordon and Latavius Murray. Chuba Hubbard (RB) Carolina Panthers: Hubbard exited Sunday with an ankle injury leaving the split backfield to D’Onta Foreman. However, the team has said that he could have returned to the game if needed. D.K. Metcalf (WR) Seattle Seahawks: Metcalf went down with what looked like a serious knee injury this week and the Seahawks feared the worst. However, reports were positive and it will not require surgery. He is expected back this season but does not have a clear timeline for a return. Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR) Detroit Lions: St. Brown exited this week with a concussion and did not return. It sounds like this is a Teddy Bridgewater situation though. He was pulled by a spotter but was not diagnosed with a concussion which could be good news for his availability next week. Mike Williams (WR) Las Angeles Chargers: Williams went down with an ugly ankle injury on Sunday. Luckily, the injury wasn’t as bad as it looked, but he is still expected to miss some time with a high-ankle sprain. Allen Lazard (WR) Green Bay Packers: Lazard injured his shoulder on Sunday and was spotted with his arm in a sling following the game. Nico Collins (WR) Houston Texans: Collins was forced from this week’s game with a groin injury and did not return. It’s unclear if he will miss time, but these injuries tend to linger. Phillip Dorsett stepped up in his absence. David Njoku (TE) Cleveland Browns: Njoku suffered a high-ankle sprain and will likely be out 2-5 weeks. Harrison Bryant should see an uptick in volume this week. Daniel Bellinger (TE) New York Giants: On a freak play, Bellinger was punched in the face and broke his eye socket. It will require surgery and there is a chance his season is over. Tanner Hudson is next on the depth chart although fullback Chris Myarick may be the better add if he’s TE-eligible. Def vs WR Matchups Report

This Fantasy Football tool shows you how well (or how poorly) each pass defense is performing against each position this NFL season.
Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 7

An interesting stat going around is that 2022 is the lowest-scoring opening six-week run in 13 years. Scoring is down 22% from 2021. That means there has been a lot of roster adversity. Our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 7 picks help you identify values to target and fades to avoid. It is also crucial to know which waiver wire pick to make and to stay up-to-date on the injury report. Here are our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 7 picks. QUARTERBACKS Start ‘Em Jimmy Garoppolo (San Francisco 49ers) – Jimmy G is the perfect streaming option this week if you’re looking for a viable starter to replace Josh Allen or another quarterback on a bye. Garoppolo takes on the Chiefs who are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to QBs. Despite San Francisco’s elite defense, the Chiefs can score at will forcing the 49ers to throw the ball. Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins) – Tagovailoais back and let’s not forget what he was doing before he got hurt. At the time of his injury, he was leading the league in passing yards and touchdowns. He has Tyreek Hill to throw to who is on pace to break Calvin Johnson’s single-season receiving record. Jaylen Waddle isn’t far behind him. Tua has the ability, the weapons, and a great matchup on Sunday Night Football against the Steelers. Pittsburgh has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to QBs and the second-most passing yards in the league. Sit ‘Em Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) – You will see Rodgers ranked higher than usual this week because of the matchup with the Commanders. Don’t fall for this narrative. This offense has been horrible this season and not once has Rodgers finished the week as a QB1. Currently, he sits as the QB20 overall on the season. Unless he’s a desperation play, you can do better. This offense is broken and he should be benched regardless of the matchup until he shows otherwise. Russell Wilson (Denver Broncos) – Wilson has been a disaster this season. Now he’s piling a hamstring injury on top of a shoulder injury. On Monday Night Football in the second half and overtime, he completed three passes for 15 yards. This week he plays the Jets who have been dominant on the defensive line and the Broncos can’t protect an apparently gimpy Wilson. RUNNING BACKS Start ‘Em Ezekiel Elliott (Dallas Cowboys) – This season has been a roller coaster ride for Zeke owners with more downs than ups, but things are getting back on track. Over the past three weeks, he has touched the ball 54 times and already has over 100 opportunities on the season. The volume is there and his production has been climbing coming off four strong weeks in a row. This week he plays the Lions who have surrendered the most points to fantasy running backs this season. Eno Benjamin (Arizona Cardinals) – Despite being underwhelming last week, the opportunity was there for Benjamin. He played 87 percent of the snaps, saw 15 of the 18 carries, and was the only running back targeted. The Cardinals’ offense was a disaster last week and hopefully, they can get that turned around against a middle-of-the-pack matchup with the Saints. Stick with the opportunity here and hope for a better week for this offense overall. Sit ‘Em Najee Harris (Pittsburgh Steelers) – It’s time to be done with Harris until further notice. He has combined low efficiency with inconsistent volume and is getting the targets he saw last week. This week Mitch Trubisky will likely be back at quarterback to make this offense even worse. Keep him on your bench. Clyde Edwards Helaire (Kansas City Chiefs) – Everyone could see the collapse of CEH coming. There just wasn’t enough volume to sustain his incredible early-season output. This is a three-man committee and he has rushed for a total of 48 yards on 18 carries over the past two weeks. When he’s not scoring touchdowns he’s not useful. This week he takes on the 49ers who are allowing the second-fewest fantasy points to RBs. WIDE RECEIVERS Start ‘Em DeAndre Hopkins (Arizona Cardinals) – A popular question as we head into Week 7 is what should be done with Hopkins on his first week back. A week ago the answer would have been to give him a week and see how he looks. That is no longer the case. With Hollywood Brown heading to IR, Hopkins should be in your lineups immediately. His WR1 upside combined with the need for his presence in this offense should be enough to make him a must-start. Allen Lazard (Green Bay Packers) – Lazard has caught at least four passes and a TD in five of six games this season. This week he takes on the Commanders who are allowing the third-most fantasy points to opposing wideouts and the Packers just lost a trusted target in Randall Cobb for a while. There is no need to complicate things here Lazard needs to be started. Alec Pierce (Indianapolis Colts) – Pierce has quietly been great this season. Excluding Week 1 when he didn’t play much, he has seen 5 targets, and either topped 60 yards or scored a TD in every game. The Colts play the Titans this week who are allowing the most fantasy points to wide receivers. Sit ‘Em Courtland Sutton (Denver Broncos) – This goes right along with the benching of Russell Wilson. Sutton is coming off a two-catch-for-14-yard performance matched up against Sauce Gardner who has been tough on WR1s. Sutton also is playing in an offense that averages less than one passing TD per game. Curtis Samuel (Washington Commanders) – To go along with a tough matchup against the Packers who are allowing the eight-fewest fantasy points to receivers, Samuel also lost his starting quarterback Carson Wentz this week. Not that Wentz is a world-beater by any means, but backup Taylor Heinicke has familiarity with Terry McLaurin and hasn’t played
Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

Another week is in the books. Unfortunately, plenty of injuries were part of an erratic Week 6 slate. Our Fantasy Football Injury Rundown goes though all the fantasy-relevant injuries you need to be aware of. Here are the key fantasy-relevant injury situations we’ll be monitoring. Both for this week’s action and moving forward. Also, be sure to check out our Week 7 waiver wire and FAAB recommendations. Dak Prescott (QB) Dallas Cowboys – Week 7 was always the timeline for Prescott’s return. His practice activities picked up last week and he’s expected to take starting QB reps on Wednesday. Assuming he’s back under center, Prescott will be a locked-in QB1 against a bottom-5 Detroit secondary. Marquise Brown (WR) Arizona Cardinals – The Cardinals are fortunate to be getting DeAndre Hopkins back from suspension this week. No. 1 wideout Hollywood Brown suffered a major foot injury and is expected to miss six weeks. Brown will avoid surgery but is expected to go on IR. The club also traded for Robbie Anderson, who has very little time to prepare himself for Thursday’s tilt. Keenan Allen (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – A hamstring injury has now cost Allen five games. He was trending in the right direction last week and is tentatively expected to return this Sunday versus Arizona. Carson Wentz (QB) Washington Commanders – Wentz fractured his thumb on Thursday, which helped explain the abysmal performance. Surgery was required and the veteran signal-caller will miss at least one month. Taylor Heinicke will take over as the starter for the next 4-6 weeks. Russell Wilson (QB) Denver Broncos – As if the season wasn’t disappointing enough, apparently Russell Wilson merger from Monday night’s loss with a hamstring injury. Brett Rypien, who has a career 61.2 QB rating, would be next man up is Wilson is forced to miss time. For now, consider Wilson day-to-day. Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Miami Dolphins – After missing most of three games, Tagovailoa has cleared concussion protocol and will be under center this week against Pittsburgh. Although rust could be a factor, Tagovailoa will be in a good spot facing a Steelers’ secondary ceding the seventh-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. James Conner (RB) Arizona Cardinals – Conner was unable to practice with a rib injury that kept him out last week. With Arizona playing Thursday, assume Conner will miss his second straight game. Kenny Pickett (QB) Pittsburgh Steelers – Pickett was unable to finish Week 5 and is in the league’s concussion protocol. If he is unable to clear it in time for Week 7, Mitch Trubisky would start against Miami. Michael Thomas (WR) New Orleans Saints – The Saints are really banged up right now and a short rest week won’t help. Reports indicated that Thomas’s foot was improving but it seems more likely that the club will hold him out once again. We’ll monitor his healthy and update the FullTime Fantasy Discord. Jarvis Landry (WR) New Orleans Saints – Landry is probably less likely to play on a short week with an ankle ailment that has sidelined him since Week 5. New Orleans doesn’t have a bye until Week 14. Cameron Brate (TE) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – A week after suffering a concussion, Brate had a scary next injury that turned out to be a sprain. Should Brate miss time, Cade Otton would see his snaps rise. Also, bring on the Gronk rumors. Randall Cobb (WR) Green Bay Packers – A sprained ankle will keep Cobb sidelined for 2-4 weeks. Cobb is Green Bay’s primary slot receiver. His absence will likely mean more slot reps for Allen Lazard and Romeo Doubs. But, the real benefactor here could be TE Robert Tonyan, who already boasts a 48.6% slot rate. Darrel Williams (RB) Arizona Cardinals – The Cardinals are due up Thursday, which makes it almost certain that Williams will miss another game with a knee injury. At this point, there is no real reason to keep the veteran back rostered. Matt Prater (PK) Arizona Cardinals – With a short week on deck, the Cardinals signed Rodrigo Blankenship to the practice squad. This is a very good indication that Prater (hip) will miss Week 7. Dustin Hopkins (PK) Los Angeles Chargers – Hopkins re-aggravated his quad injury on Monday. He played through the ailment but it is safe to assume the club will bring in a potential replacement this week. ENTER OUR WEEK 7 DRAFT CONTEST!
