This is scouting the NHL DFS, taking a look at the top stacks and player options for the night in fantasy hockey.

Scouting NHL DFS: Sun 2/4

Sunday, February 4th – Super Bowl Sunday The NHL always has some early games on Super Bowl Sunday and luckily for DFS purposes we have 3 games to make it a playable slate.   STACKS Washington Capitals …  This is the 10th straight year the Caps are hosting a home game on SB Sunday and they have not sucked on the big day.  All time the Caps are 17-7-1 on Super Bowl Sunday and have had some big wins in recent years during the tradition run.  Today they’re getting a west coast team (Vegas) starting at 12:30 local time, which should feel a little rough for the Vegas Knights.  Look for Ovechkin to shine today, but the guy who is looking healthy these days is TJ Oshie and he came really close to having a good game at Pittsburgh on Friday.  Backstrom-Oshie-Ovechkin gives you a nice PP stack and would be the top dogs to pay up for today. Carolina Hurricanes … Another east coast team hosting a west coast team at an early start.  The ‘Canes get the Sharks at the end of a long trip on the east coast and likely will draw Aaron Dell in goal, which is a boost for the Canes and their top line of Staal-Aho-Teravainen.   CENTERS: Nick Backstrom Paul Byron Jordan Staal Erik Haula WINGS: Alex Ovechkin Max Paciorretty TJ Oshie Teuvo Teravainen/Sebastian Aho Timo Meier Mike Hoffman DEFENSEMAN: Jeff Petry – Value play, love him today Erik Karlsson John Carlson Brent Burns Dmitry Orlov   GOALIES Carey Price … I think all three home teams win today and Price has seen his price drop on both sites due to recent struggles.  However, he did look better last Thursday against the Hurricanes and is someone that I think you can trust today at home. Cam Ward … Correlation play with my Canes stack as I think the Hurricanes beat the Sharks.   LINE LOCK:     Caps PP – Backstrom, Oshie, Ovechkin ONE OFF STUD WINGER:    Max Paciorretty (Canadiens) ONE OFF VALUE WINGER:    Timo Meier (Sharks) TOP DEFENSEMAN:     Jeff Petry (Canadiens)
