KBO Dongers Club – Tue 6/16

Back to a full five game slate kicking things off on Tuesday A.M. and back to the 5:30 EST grind.  No rain or weather issues expected.   PITCHING Very very deep pitching slate. Eric Jokisch (Kiwoom Heroes – $9,700) … Coming off a lesser performance and facing a team not great against lefties and not very explosive of late team in the Lotte Giants.  Over 20% K rate against everyone and should be in line for a nice 6 inning, 6 strikeout performance Chan Heong Jung (LG Twins – $6,500) … I think he gets overlooked because of Jokisch and Alcantara but I really think he’s underpriced at only $6,500.  The last two starts have been extremely good and he’s your next up in line to face the bad Hanwha Eagles. Raul Alcantara (Doosan Bears – $7,900) … Equally as good as the other two choices and unlike Chan Heong Jung he is at home and has a lower walk/WHIP rate but lower strike-out rate as well.   HITTING STACKS Doosan Bears SK Wyverns … LG Twins … Probably your chalkiest team on this slate along with Doosan.  I prefer SK paired with Doosan or SK paired with LG.   POSITIONAL TARGETS Catcher Eui Ji Yang is always a no-brainer play but is not worth an extra $1100 over Dong Won Park (KIW) or Kang Nam Yoo (LG).  My pick today is Dong Won Park First Base It’s hard to list Doosan first and then not have a Doosan 1B play and that’s the obvious play here today.  Four different lefty options against a lefty pitcher might drive some idiots away.  Don’t be that person.  Jae Hwan Kim has a .264 ISO against LHP this year and batting in the middle of the order is my guy Second Base Keon Chang Seo continues to lead off for Kiwoom and is one pivot off Jose Fernandez/Joo Hwan Choi from the Bears but I like Min Woo Park as a Dino one off. Third Base Jeong Choi, lock in. Shortstop Jae Ho Kim for Doosan has averaged 8.6 PPG over his last five and is only $2,600. Outfield The SK Wyverns stack has to include guys like Romak, Ko and Jeong if you are playing them.  That’s my favorite GPP play on this slate. Doosan:  Kun Woo Park / Jae Hwan Kim LG:  Hyun Soo Kim, Eun Sung Chae SK:  Jamie Romak / Jong Wook Ko / Eui Yoon Jeong     CHAIRMAN Jamie Romak – 1B/OF – SK Wyverns

UPDATE:  DraftKings removed the Hanwha game from the slate.  Utter disaster.  I won’t be playing KBO today. The Doosan Bears and Hanwha Eagles game on Saturday morning was suspended after the third inning due to rain.  They are going to be continuing this game at 1:00 AM EST on Sunday morning and then playing their regularly scheduled game at 4:00 AM EST.  All other games are slated to begin at that same time so we have a 4:00 AM slate (which is the WORST!) but all five games going at the same time and most likely with ZERO rain issues. There is some heavy wind however in the Tigers/Wyverns game that could boost offense for lefties slightly.   PITCHING Warwick Saupold – Hanwha Eagles, $9,200 Simple law of averages on this one.  It’s essentially a Sunday double header and the Eagles are going to finally get their win today behind Saupold who always pitches deep and with it being a DH day, should be relied upon to go very deep again today.  Good chance Doosan rests some hitters in the second game too, so that upside plays in here as well. Hyun Jong Yang – Kia Tigers, $9,800 I mentioned a little wind in this game left to right but with a lefty pitcher that should not be an issue as much and the Wyverns don’t have much power on the left side anyways.  So unless Jeong Choi or Jamie Romak wanna take Yang oppo-taco, he should not be bothered there.  Only Jamie Romak is the scare for me in the Wyverns lineup, so Yang lets take the near 20% strikeout Yang and move on. Casey Kelly – LG Twins, $8,900 Kelly and Yang are 2a and 2b for me.  I like both but Kelly faces the up and down Giants so I have him ranked a little lower because of a higher risk.   STACKS TO PLAY Heroes vs Dinos Kiwoom went off on Saturday on the Dino’s and this is another terrific game, but we have to lean back to the Dino’s side somewhat.  No doubt this game gets a ton of chalk because of the Vegas odds and chasing the results from the day before. Key Players: Min Woo Park – OF (Dinos) Byung Ho Park – 1B (Heroes) KT Wiz – Contrarian Tae-In Won might look good, but he’s still just in his second season and faces the Wiz for the second time this year — they were one team to do well against him.  His low K% makes me like the Wiz to do some damage. Key Players: Mel Rojas Jr – OF … Heating up. Baek Ho Kang – 1B Han Joon Yoo – OF LG Twins – Favorite 5 MAN Stack This is the only spot to look at a 5 man stack today in my mind, because if you go heavy on a team you don’t wanna do it on the chalky Heroes/Dinos in my mind when the Twins can easily destroy Adrian “Overated” Sampson. Key Players: Hyun Soo Kim – OF Yong Taik Park – OF Min Sun Kim – 3B   POSITIONAL BREAKDOWN Full Dashboard for player ratings here.

KBO Dongers Club – Sat June 13th

Information you should know. Today’s games at first glance had some weather concerns but as of now (5PM Eastern’ish) it looks like they will all give it a go.  There is one double header as the Wiz and Lions are playing a 1:00 AM game followed up by the make-up game from Friday after that. Here’s a list of players who are nursing injuries to monitor Hyung Woo Choi (Tigers) Jung Hoo Lee (Heroes) Ji Hwan Oh (Twins) Note:  Roberto Ramos is now on IL   PITCHING Ki Young Im (Kia Tigers – $7,600) … My man.  My man.  My man.  This will be his first time going up against the Wyverns this season and he’s been very good against much better competition.  One of the pitchers I have started to follow closely is Im and he’s impressed me enough to make him my top arm on this mediocre pitching slate. Odrisamer Despaigne (KT Wiz – $8,400) … Not only does he draw the Lions who are banged up, shuffling their lineup around and projected to start a bunch of trashy hitters, but he also happens to be the highest strikeout arm going today when we look at long term stats.  As a bonus in my mind he is coming off his lowest outing of the season after doing well prior to that, so there’s strong trend in my mind for him to bounce back with a 20+ point performance today on DK.   Third pitcher to consider:    Woo Chan Cha (LG Twins)   Chalk Fade Hui Kwan Yu (Doosan Bears – $7,700) … Not someone we can expect upside from with a very low strike-out rates, but why not pick on the team who hasn’t won in weeks in the Hanwha Eagles?  Unfortunately this slate doesn’t give us a ton of other options to feel safe about and so this is where we see a player with limited upside still gain about 50% ownership today.  Shouldn’t kill you, but someone I see no value in playing in a tournament.   STACKS KIA Tigers … If only the ballpark was better.  I dont want to over emphasize batter/pitcher splits but Ho Ryung Kim has been pretty good leading off and has raked against RHP so far.  Add on that Seung Won Moon struggling against RH batters this season and he should be a no brainer leading off at $3,500. Ho Ryung Kim (OF) Preston Tucker (OF) Ji Wan Na (OF) Hyung Woo Choi (1B) – Day to day. Seung Taek Han (C) NC Dino’s … They get a RHP who is better than people think but … well, he’s not good enough to dominate the Dino’s forever.  Some guys that leap off the page for me today include Eui Ji Yang off a weak chalk spot last night and of course Sung Bum Na / Aaron Altherr who has seemingly raked every weekend this season. Eui Ji Yang (C) Sung Bum Na (OF) Aaron Altherr (OF)   POSITIONAL TARGETS Catcher Eui Ji Yang – Dinos Seung Taek Han – Tigers Dong Won Park – Heroes First Base – Not in love with this position outside of Baek Ho Kang, but he’s $6,100.  Needs more than just the auto HR he’s gonna get. Baek Ho Kang – Wiz Yoon Seok Oh – Giants Second Base Min Woo Park – Dinos Jose Fernandez – Bears Third Base Suk Min Park – Dinos Ji Hyuk Ryu – Tigers Min Sung Kim – Twins Shortstop Ha Seong Kim – Heroes … Probably the best infielder to spend up on in my mind. Ji Hwan Oh – Twins – Questionable Outfield … This is where your hitting $ gets spent today. Ho Ryung Kim (OF) Sung Bum Na / Aaron Altherr – Dinos Preston Tucker – Tigers Kun Woo Park – Bears Keep an eye on:  Hyun Soo Kim … Is really lost right now at the plate, but in a great spot to turn things around.      THE CHAIRMAN OF THE DONGERS CLUB Ho Ryung Kim – OF – Tigers

KBO Dongers Club – Fri 6/12

The weekend will kick off with some potential weather issues.  This appears to be one of those situations where most games are impacted by some wide spread potential rain.  The KBO historically leaves Monday’s open for not only off days

This post is only available to members.

KBO Dongers Club – Wed, June 10th

A drastic change in the pitching selections from yesterday to today, that makes me very happy.  But also at the same time very cautious.  Will we see the Hanwha Eagles break a 15 game losing streak today?  Will the Lotte Giants beat them up again?  And will anyone slow down the NC Dinos?  Lets find out…   WEATHER Well fuck me sideways.  We have rain issues now KIA @ KTW – IFFY SK @ LG – IFFY   PITCHING Eric Jokisch (Heroes, $9700) This is not a hard decision to make today.  Jokisch has consistently been a favorable target this season with all five of his starts resulting in favorable scores and two of them topping over 30 fantasy points.  He is actually coming off a “cant miss” start where he only put up 13 fantasy points but the Kiwoom Lefty should be on your radar even at very high ownership today versus the Lions. Chan Gyu Lim (Twins, $7500) I like both pitchers in this game with Tae Hoon Kim (SK) being the other arm in this game.  But Chan Gyu is the heavy home favorite and has a better (deeper) lineup behind him to give him a little edge in terms of run support and less risk.   VALUE / LOW UPSIDE Kyung Eun Noh (Giants, $6000) While he isn’t a great pitcher with allowing 1.25 HR/9 and only a 15.7 K% to a 5.7 BB%, he is only 6k and he is at home against the loser of 15 straight Hanwha Eagles.  Even though I would bet the Eagles today (hey, they’re due, no?) I wouldn’t expect them to beat up on anyone right now and with Kyung Eun Noh showing he can go 5+ IP he could give you 2x on a cheap salary.   HITTING KIWOOM HEROES:  Kiwoom and Kia are my favorite pivots off the Bears/Dinos today.  If you are looking for teams to go 5 deep with I would look at these teams, with an edge going to the Heroes top of the order which I expect to produce 2 HR today, likely from the guys below: Ha Seong Kim (SS) … Better vs LHP, but should deliver a solid game either way. Jung Hoo Lee (OF) Byung Ho Park (1B) Dong Won Park (C) KT WIZ:  I’ve used opposing SP Aaron Brooks quite a few times this season but he has been mostly solid against RH bats while allowing lefties to hit .366 off him with 2 HR and 4 doubles.  This is a spot where the KT Wiz can do heavy damage off Brooks from Yong Ho Jo (OF), Baek Ho Kang (1B/OF) and Mel Rojas Jr (OF) Yong Ho Jo (OF) Baek Ho Kang (1B/OF) Mel Rojas Jr. (OF) LOTTE GIANTS:  There are two Min Kim’s on this slate and neither is very good.  Lotte gets to face Min Woo Kim for Hanwha and yeah, I said bet Hanwha, but the odds honestly aren’t strong enough for me to load up on them today.  So this is a spot where guess what — I’ll go back to the well of banging batters in a ballpark that I like.  The hedge lineup I did last night cashed using this game stack and I think it can out shine the Dino-Bears game today. Jun Woo Jeon (OF) Ah Seop Son (OF) Yoon Seok Oh (1B) … Still cheap and playing well since getting playing time.   GAME QUICK THOUGHTS Bears vs Dinos:   These pitchers are good enough to be able to expect a game that goes towards the under and we can finally get away with not loading up on the Dino’s.  That said, look at Jin Hyuk No (SS), for the Dino’s who should be batting ahead of the white hot Aaron Altherr. Eagles vs Giants:   Wrote above that going with the Eagles in an upset is bound to happen soon, but the Giants side have better metrics clearly. Tigers vs Wiz:  Top game on the slate for combined offense between the two teams.  Bet the over. Heroes vs Lions:  Heroes should thump them. Wyverns vs Twins:   Twins get the edge.   CHAIRMAN OF THE DONGERS CLUB Jung Hoo Lee – OF – $5,200 – Kiwoom Heroes

KBO Dongers Club – Tue, June 9th

WEATHER No issues, all games play.   PITCHING It really looks like a garbage slate in terms of pitching but most of that is due to a lack of strikeout potential today.  I do think we’ll see the pitchers do alright today across the board but nobody is going off with a 25 or a 30 today.  Doosan’s pitcher, Je Young Jo, is making his debut and is not in the DraftKings player pool.  So given that I really don’t like anyone but I also don’t hate anyone, where should we go? Should we go with the $10,100 priced Hyun Jong Yang?  He’s the best strikeout arm on the slate and faces a lineup that is heavy with lefties in it — but is getting back their cleanup bat in Baek Ho Kang?  10.1k?  No thanks. How about Casey Kelley (Not Min Ho Lee as previously reported) starting against the lowly SK Wyverns?   No thanks, he is coming off a rough start and I don’t see the heavy upside there. No, my friends.  We are going full Dongers Club theories here.  The Hanwha Eagles manager resigned which lead to North Korea saying today that they are cutting all ties with South Korea right now.  Seems like a pretty drastic measure on North Korea’s part, but I got it on good intel that North Korea has put a kill out today if the “We screw the Dongers Club a” Lotte Giants beat Hanwha with an interim manager.  So let’s drink a beer, go to sleep and wake up to a nice 6 inning performance from our Low Rider. Of course I am speaking of Warwick Saupold – $9500 – Hanwha Eagles Who gets to face our ole Eleanor the Lotte Giants in a stadium that I have been hyping up for the past few days despite getting constantly burned by it.  This should go really well.   Okay…  So what’s next? Oh.  You need me to pick a second pitcher?   Fine, I’ll do the “smart” thing here and go with … no, you know what.   We are going full fraud tout today. That’s right ladies and gentlemen.  Hold the phone.  We got an idea here.  I’m telling you, all the crazies approve of this one…   That’s right ladies and gentlemen and aliens who are about to invade America now that COVID is over and our short attention spans are wading from social justice.   Obviously I am talking about a HEDGE play.  And here’s how it’s gonna work.   We roster BOTH pitchers in the Hanwha-Lotte game.  Yes.  Both Warwick Saupold and the pitcher on the other team.  We play that on our main lineup and then we just do a second lineup which is a full game stack….  Nevermind that the other pitcher is Adrian Sampson, don’t sweat that part.  This is the play folks.  Eleanor (Lotte’s Stadium) can’t fail us here!   HITTING So obviously we need good plays to pair for the main lineup and just go Hanwha/Lotte (what the fuck?) on our second lineup. KIA TIGERS … They’re my favorite play today and the Tucker-Woo Choi 3/4 combination is expensive but if you punt at pitcher today you can easily get them in a full bat heavy lineup. NC DINOS … The obvious chalk today.  Usual suspects here with Sung Bum Na and Eui Ji Yang. Doosan Bears … They are heavy underdogs because they’re on the road and facing the mighty Dino’s with a pitcher making his debut, but they get an equally bad option on the hill on the other side and we shouldn’t ignore that no doubt they get that 9th inning at bat.  Both sides in this game make sense, but Doosan 1-5 is the spot to go heavier on.  Unfortunately it’s always hard to stack them because they play 3 positions.  I love the price here on Jae Il Oh at $3800 and would make him 1B along with Joo Hwan Choi at 2B for only $2400.  Take the value on the road getting that 9th inning AB.  They will be extremely low owned against a LHP but have done ok vs southpaws.   POSITIONAL TARGETS CATCHER Eui Ji Yang – Dinos Seung Taek Han – Tigers FIRST BASE Jae Il Oh – Bears Roberto Ramos – LG SECOND BASE Jin Hyuk No – Dinos … Value play today. Joo Hwan Choi – Bears THIRD BASE Tyler Saladino – Lions Suk Min Park – Dinos SHORTSTOP Sun Bin Kim – Tigers Ha Seong Kim – Heroes OUTFIELD Preston Tucker – Tigers Hyung Woo Choi – Tigers Ji Wan Na – Tigers Sung Bum Na – Dinos   LINEUP CONSTRUCTION So obviously we need good plays to pair for the main lineup and just go Hanwha/Lotte (what the fuck?) on our second lineup. Saupold / Sampson + Mix of optimal plays Lotte/Hanwha gamestack with Hyun Jong Yang anchoring the pitching Completely punt on pitching and pay up for the studs at the hitting spots.

KBO: Dongers Club – Sat June 6th

Two games begin at 1:00 AM (afternoon games in S. Korea) while the others start at 4:00 AM.   WEATHER All fine.   PITCHING This is a pretty good slate for pitching on paper and it’s headlined by an ACE up top. Chang Mo Koo – $9,300 (Dinos) This is basically getting Gerrit Cole against the Detroit Tigers and getting him at a very affordable price.  Complete snooze job on the part of DraftKings with regards to pricing as usual.  Chang Mo Koo has posted a 28 or better in all five starts this season and now gets to face the worst team/offense in the league in an extremely good park for pitching.  Someone with his solid strikeout rate over a large sample size should be about 98% owned today with the 2% thinking they are smart/cute if he somehow pulls a muscle yawning at the lack of competition on the other side.  Yeah, it’s a day game and weird things can happen to ace pitchers in day games.  I don’t care.  He’s the play. Jong Hoon Park – $7,400 (Wyverns) Right back to picking on the Samsung Lions with another Wyverns pitcher.  A guy who can give us 5-6 innings, and does fairly well keeping the ball in the park while facing a weak offense.  Not much else to focus on here. Others who I don’t hate, but don’t love:   Chris Flexen, Tyler Wilson, Chae Heung Choi     TEAM STACKS (Teams to go 4+ players from) Giants … They have decent contact numbers and are facing a non strike-out arm.  I like this combination and will go back to this game heavy again tonight on both sides where I think we can finally get away from the Bears and Dino’s dominating a slate.  Really like Dixon Machado who has been good vs RHP and gets overlooked batting so low in the order, so he is a nice 4th player to stack here along with Son, Jeon and Lee.  The Lotte Giants haven’t been tearing it up but the KT Wiz do possess the worst bullpen in the league.  They’ll break through. Twins … In theory this is the chalk spot today.  But it’s a little mixed going up against a LHP.  None the less, it’s a Eun Sung Chae day if he does start but he was banged up last night.  Don’t ignore the lefties in this lineup (Ramos/Kim)   CONTRARIAN TEAM Wyverns … Like them vs a LHP.  Jamie Romak/Jeong Choi heart of the order combination.  Romak is a nice higher $ pivot play today who comes in usually around 10% owned.   POSITIONAL TARGETS CATCHER Two really good options here today but if Kang Nam is starting I’ll pay down for him. Kang Nam Yoo – LG Eui Ji Yang – NCD FIRST BASE Roberto Ramos – LG … Has done fine LvL Jae Hwan Kim – DOO SECOND BASE Chi Hong An – LOT … It feels like chasing off a HR yesterday but really he’s in a good spot, too cheap as well. Jose Fernandez – DOO THIRD BASE Jeong Choi – SK … He and Hwang are the only two 3B doing anything right now.  It’s here or punt. SHORTSTOP Dixon Machado – LOT Hye Sung Kim – KIW OUTFIELD Jun Woo Jeon – Giants … Has over .200 ISO this year vs RHP Jamie Romak – Wyverns Mel Rojas Jr – Wiz Hyun Soo Kim – Twins Value Ah Seop Son – Giants Eun Sung Chae – Twins … Questionable, start at own risk.  4PM Start time, so unless you are up, I’d be very cautious.  Value is great though if he is in   CHAIRMAN OF THE DONGERS CLUB Dixon Machado – Lotte Giants     LINEUP CONSTRUCTION THOUGHTS Lock in a single 4 to 5 man stack with atleast 2 good value players from it (meaning sub 3600 or so)  — Examples above Make sure you get one of the 5k+ studs who is always raking and chalky — Romak/Rojas/Yang/J.Fernandez top options today Your ownership pivot is either one of these three things daily Pivoting onto a lower owned STACK — Giants, Wyverns Leverage against the chalky SP — Use Chad Bell or Hanwha (seems stupid, but, fits the criteria) A lower owned/high upside SP2 — Jong Hoon Park   Good luck!

KBO: Dongers Club – June 5th

Welcome to the weekend of KBO DFS.  As we head into the weekend and continue to no doubt have KBO in our lives for another month or more as MLB does … nothing … we should really factor in the bullpen usage more and more.  Here’s a quick high level data point on the bullpen’s heading into the weekend action. Rank Team Bullpen ERA 1 Twins 3.59 2 Heroes 4.79 3 Dinos 4.91 4 Lions 4.95 5 Wyverns 5.20 6 Tigers 5.25 7 Giants 5.35 8 Eagles 6.23 9 Bears 7.36 10 WIz 7.68 Yeah, I wish we had some better scraped metrics right now on the bullpens other than ERA but it’s a starting point and clearly indicates what we have seen for example with the KT Wiz who have really struggled late in games as well as Doosan and Hanwha.   LG is far away better than every other teams bullpen right now, and many times bullpens will be worse early in a season than the middle of a season, so I would suspect everyone improves making LG a team to avoid attacking when they have a solid starter on the mound.   WEATHER No issues   PITCHING Mike Wright – $9100, NC Dinos Most pitchers having success (i.e. big games) in the KBO either have a strikeout rate over 20% or their opponents have a high strike out rate as well.  Mike Wright today has both going for him as he is the lucky dog who gets to face the Hanwha Eagles. Ricardo Pinto – $7500, Samsung Lions This is an interesting spot as Samsung faces SK and these teams are slowly starting to improve offensively and neither Pinto or Dae WooK Kim is a steady plug and play forget about it arm.  They both have risks, but Pinto doesn’t have to face Jeong Choi and Jamie Romak like Kim does.  Being the home pitcher I’ll give him the slight nod in a spot I wouldn’t be opposed to just game stacking the pitchers.   Sneaky #3 Shi Hwan Jang – $6900, Hanwha Eagles He could get overlooked pitching against Mike Wright but SH Jang has really high strikeout rates and the Doosan Bears are up there in strikeouts as well.  If you aren’t considering Doosan in a pitchers park like me then look at Shi Hwan as a nice leverage option.   HITTING KT WIZ Jeong Dae Bae, Yong Ho Jo, Mel Rojas Jr., Sung Woo Jang The Giants home stadium is statistically (and visually) one of the best looking hitters parks in the KBO.  It’s ++ in every hitting category except for triples and we combine two bad bullpens along with two bad starting pitchers — both with low strikeout rates and high contact allowed rates and we’re in line for a potential must play game.  For the KT Wiz, they’ve got good recent form coming off their series against Doosan, but are usually a lineup that murders LHP and is just ‘decent’ against RHP — especially with their best RHP masher Baek Ho Kang out. KIA TIGERS Preston Tucker, Ji Wan Na, Hyung Woo Choi They’re underdogs and will be under the radar against Doosan.  But Young Ha Lee’s been struggling keeping guys off the bases despite doing well at limiting runs.  Signs indicate though the damn is gonna burst and his 0 HR allowed this season doesn’t jive with his historical stats.  Great spot for Preston Tucker as you can see and he’ll be a little on the low ownership side with some of the other higher priced stud OF being in great spots. LOTTE GIANTS Ah Seop Son, Jun Woo Jeon, Dae Ho Lee, Chi Hong An Lotte is a top heavy team, meaning their production comes at the top of the order. Note:  KT Wiz starting pitcher Min Soo Kim is likely going only 2 innings based off his prior game logs.  He is a bullpen guy who hasn’t faced more than 7 batters in a game all year. POSITIONAL CHEAT SHEET Position Top Play Value C Dong Won Park (KIW) Hong Gu Lee (SK) 1B ByungHo Park (KIW) Jae Il Oh (DOO) 2B Kyung Soo Park (KT) Chi Hong An (LOT) 3B Jae Gyun Hwang (KT) Dong Hee Han (LOT) SS None Woo Jun Sim (KT) OF Jun Woo Jeon (LOT) Ji Wan Na (KIA) OF Preston Tucker (KIA) Eun Sung Chae (LG) OF Mel Rojas Jr (KT) Yong Ho Jo (KT) Notes … First Base is top heavy today, I’m not on Doosan much so those value guys dont jump out that much to me. Shortstop is a position to pay down at. Outfield has the most depth with good High end guys (Tucker/Rojas), nice middle plays as normal and some solid value (Na, Chae, Ho Jo)   Chairman of the Dongers Club Jun Woo Jeon – OF – Lotte Giants – $4500

KBO: Dongers Club – June 4th

WEATHER All fine   PITCHING Erik Jokisch ($9500 – Kiwoom Heroes) … One of these days law of averages will strike on the Eagles doing well.  Today is not that day.  Jokisch has been one of the best arms so far in the KBO and he faces the worst team in the league offensively.  Load him up for a big strikeout performance. Aaron Brooks ($8000 – Kia Tigers) … Brooks gets a team in Lotte who hasn’t been very good against RHP this season and his 20% strikeout rate for his price is far better in my mind than Rucinski in a worse spot for more money. Chan Heong Jung ($6500 – LG Twins) … Really like the Twins today and this would be taking a shot at locking up the W and correlating w/ the stack.   TEAM STACKS LG Twins … I really don’t see them getting swept at home by Samsung.  Through the first two games they’ve gotten shutout and whooped 12-6.  Today they turn it around Doosan Bears … Can’t get too upset that they were shutout last night, but I sense some folks will shy away from them for other spots.  Load up on the plethora of lefties they have 1-5 here.   POSITIONAL TARGETS CATCHER Eui Ji Yang (NCD) Dong Won Park (KIW) FIRST BASE Roberto Ramos (LG) Jae Hwan Kim (DOO) SECOND BASE Min Woo Park (NCD) Hye Sung Kim (KIW) THIRD BASE Jae Gyun Hwang (KTW) Hyoung Min Hur (DOO) SHORTSTOP Ha Seong Kim (KIW) Sung Bin Kim (KIA) OUTFIELD – Tier 1 Aaron Altherr (NCD) Ji wan Na (KIA) Hyun Soo Kim (LG) Ho Ryung Kim (KIA)

KBO: Dongers Club – June 3rd

WEATHER No issues   PITCHING Don’t say I didn’t warn you about yesterday’s slate.  One lesson to remember is when we have a projected chalky pitcher that looks iffy like Despaigne (and Lee in hindsight) there’s a TON of upside in going the leverage route of simply doing a stack against that chalky pitcher.  The numbers being what they are in KBO with higher chalk and less hitting competition (because of fewer teams), it really can pay off when we have spots like yesterday.  Just something to always throw out there as an option building your lineups. Casey Kelly – $8,800 – LG Twins Samsung has almost no power.  Kelly gives up almost no homers.  He’s SP1 today. Geon Wook Lee – $6,300 – SK Wyverns Tough to pick on the Dino’s normally but this is the best mid range/value pitcher on the board and only Sung Bum Na — who has been hitting everyone — has hit lefties from the Dino’s this year consistently.  Really strong consideration to play Lee tonight even on my main lineup. Warwick Saupold – $9,500 – Hanwha Eagles Saupold isn’t going to go out and strikeout 10 batters, but when you are going 6+ innings and normally giving up 3 or fewer runs that’s what we call a nice quality start and while the $9500 price may not feel like an easy thing to do without 30 point ceiling, it sure beats getting Despaigne’d with a -19 doesn’t it?   TEAM STACKS DOOSAN BEARS The Bears come in as a heavy favorite in a game with a 12.5 total compared to the next highest game at 9.5  So yeah, this is where everyone will go without knowing a single thing about what has happened so far in this KBO season and it’s justified going up against Hyeong Jun So. SK Wyverns Jeong Choi moved down in the order and still had a big game.  SK is rolling, hard to pass on them right now and facing a lefty gives the heart of the order a boost.     POSITIONAL TARGETS CATCHER Eui Ji Yang (NCD) Kang Nam Yoo (LG) FIRST BASE Jose Fernandez (DOO) Jamie Romak (SK) SECOND BASE Kyung Soo Park (KTW) Jae Woh Oh (DOO) THIRD BASE Jeong Choi (SK) Jae Gyun Hwang SHORTSTOP Jae Ho Kim (DOO) Jin Nyuk Ho (NCD) OUTFIELD Mel Rojas Jr (KTW) Jae Hwan Kim (DOO) Kun Woo Park (DOO) Sung Bum Na (NCD) Value OF Eun Sung Chae (LG) Ji Wan Na (KIA)
