SLATE INTRO Eight games today on both FanDuel and DraftKings as the Reds-Indians game is ignored by both sites despite only being 25 minutes ahead of the rest of the slate.  Tonight’s set of games includes a wrap around series

NBA DFS CHEAT SHEET 8/3/2020

Cheat sheet is for the games starting at 4pm.   Notes: PG Chris Paul is playing well and put up 40 FPs in only 27 minutes last game. Don’t see anyone on the Nuggets depleted roster that can guard him.

NHL DFS: Point Shot Cheat Sheet – 8/3

The first two days of the playoffs have been exciting and full of action. The idea of having hockey all day long is nothing short of fantastic and it all continues today.   CENTERS WINGS DEFENSE TOP $ Connor McDavid (EDM) Brayden Point (TB) Nikita Kucherov (TB) Alex Ovechkin (WSH) John Carlson (WSH) (questionable) Oscar Klefbom (EDM) MID $ Sean Monahan (CGY) William Karlsson (VGK) Brendan Gallagher (MTL) Johnny Gaudreau (CGY) Jonathan Marchessault (VGK) Shea Weber (MTL) Mark Giordano (CGY) Neal Pionk (WPG) VALUE $ Nick Suzuki (MTL) Kirby Dach (CHI) Tomas Tatar (MTL) Alex Debrincat (CHI) Jakub Vrana (WSH) Erik Gustafsson (CHI) Justin Schultz (PIT) Jeff Petry (MTL)   Favorite Line Stacks *Note: Lines are subject to change depending on morning skate lines. Revert to the chat and/or look for updates here for any impact they may have. Vegas Golden Knights Marchessault – Stastny – Smith Calgary Flames Gaudreau – Monahan – Lindholm Tampa Bay Lightning Palat – Point – Kucherov   Value Line Stacks Chicago Blackhawks Debrincat – Dach – Sikura Montreal Canadiens Tatar – Danault – Gallagher   Top Goalies Carey Price (MTL) – I’m going back to the well with Price after he delivered a stellar effort in game one of this series stopping 39 of 41 shots he faced. Price’s salary did go up a tad but he’s considered a high upside play. Robin Lehner (VGK) – The only concern I have with Lehner is that he doesn’t see a ton of shots. Outside of that, I expect Vegas to win this game and for Lehner to control the Golden Knights’ end. Mike Smith (EDM) – Smitty is very boom or bust and has been for years. This is the ultimate shoot for the upside play as he should see a lot of volume. How he handles those pucks to the net is the mystery. more thoughts on the netminders… I would expect Matt Murray (PIT) and Cam Talbot (CGY) to be the popular options in net tonight, neither of which I have any interest in playing. I generally lean towards a goalie that brings upside and can expect to see a lot of pucks on net. I don’t see that scenario from either Murray or Talbot and their price tags help solidify my decision.   GOOD LUCK!!

The Dongers Club – Sun, Aug 2nd

SLATE INTRO This is a depressing Sunday, but I am confident still that we are going to see Baseball get right this upcoming week.  Only six games early and there is  four game afternoon slate.  The good news is that

NHL DFS: Point Shot Cheat Sheet – 8/2

I’m focusing on the main slate on Draftkings here which is the full five-game set. FanDuel is splitting the two slates with two early games and three late games. I prefer playing on DK personally so that’s where my focus will generally be but these plays are valid for both sites, slate dependant of course.   CENTERS WINGS DEFENSE TOP $ Auston Matthews (TOR) Patrice Bergeron (BOS) David Pastrnak (BOS) Mitch Marner (TOR) Alex Pietrangelo (STL) Zach Werenski (CBJ) MID $ Bo Horvat (VAN) Pierre-Luc Dubois (CBJ) Taylor Hall (ARI) Claude Giroux (PHI) Vladimir Tarasenko (STL) Alex Edler (VAN) Morgan Rielly (TOR) VALUE $ Derek Stepan (ARI) Matt Duchene (NSH)   Cam Atkinson (CBJ) Ondrej Kase (BOS) Phil Kessel (ARI) Quinn Hughes (VAN) Brad Hunt (MIN) Erik Johnson (COL)   Favorite Line Stacks *Note: Lines are subject to change depending on morning skate lines. Revert to the chat and/or look for updates here for any impact they may have. Toronto Maple Leafs Nylander – Matthews – Marner Boston Bruins Marchand – Bergeron – Pastrnak Arizona Coyotes Hall – Dvorak – Kessel   Value Line Stacks Nashville Predators Turris – Duchene – Granlund Vancouver Canucks Pearson – Horvat – Boeser   Top Goalies Jordan Binnington (STL) – Binnington has been battle-tested and stood tall in the past for a very good defensive team overall in the Blues. Outside of the top line and Cale Makar on the blue line, Colorado I feel is limited offensively. If St. Louis can neutralize the 420 line, I like Binnington’s chances of producing a rock-solid effort. Darcy Kuemper (ARI) – Kuemper is priced down and should see a good amount of shots. This game will depend a lot on which Nashville team shows up. The heavy offensively talented group or the fraudulent, inconsistent team that we’ve seen time and time again. Freddy Andersen (TOR) – Look for Andersen to see a ton of shots because as we’ve seen in the past, Toronto tends to yield a ton of shots with their leaky defense. I don’t love Andersen’s price tag but the high-save upside is there.   GOOD LUCK!!

SLATE INTRO I have two things I want to cover and get off my chest. #1.  In regards to the current COVID-19 outbreak situation between the Marlins and the Cardinals + the talks of them shutting the season down.  This

SLATE INTRO This set of games today is like what a normal Monday slate would feel like.  It’s a little odd though as we have some new series starting up, while some other series are finishing up today.  Only eight

MLB DFS: The Darkhorse Pitcher

Joe Musgrove (Pittsburgh Pirates) In his last start Musgrove threw 99 pitches over 5.2 innings. Allowed 5 hits and 2HRs while striking 7 batters. He could show solid upside throwing 90+ pitches, especially for his price. Tonight he faces one
