2025 San Francisco 49ers Fantasy Preview The San Francisco 49ers underwent a significant offseason overhaul, marked by a strategic roster purge and a youth-focused rebuild following a disappointing 6-11 season. The team lost key contributors in free agency and traded WR Deebo Samuel to Washington. In the draft, GM John Lynch leveraged 11 picks, starting with DE Mykel Williams, DT Alfred Collins, and LB Nick Martin to bolster the defense, while adding depth at CB, WR, and RB. Robert Saleh’s return as defensive coordinator signals a shift to a high-pressure scheme, but head coach Kyle Shanahan has work to do on offense. A long-term extension is pending for QB Brock Purdy, who has outplayed his seventh-round billing. Purdy’s numbers dipped in his second season as the starter, but injuries played a big part. He still ranked 12th in fantasy points per game and was cool under pressure. San Francisco projects to have the NFL’s easiest schedule in 2025, which bodes well for Purdy’s fantasy potential. He’s a borderline QB1 that can be targeted late in drafts. RB Christian McCaffrey remains an enigma. Few players have the ceiling that McCaffery offers, but the heavy usage he’s endured has taken a toll. CMC was limited to four games last season and torpedoed most fantasy rosters that invested an early pick on his services. Supposedly healthy, that boom/bust potential remains in 2025. There is significant risk, so limited exposure. Isaac Guerendo and fifth-round Oregon rookie Jordan James are must-have late-round handcuffs. The receiving room will look different with Samuel in DC and Brandon Aiyuk potentially missing time. Aiyuk tore his ACL and MCL on October 20 and could be brought along slowly even if he’s ready by Week 1. If that happens, Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall would be Shanahan’s top wideouts. Jennings broke out last season with a 77/975/6 line good enough for a WR24 finish. He’ll be in good position to be a quality middle-round target. Meanwhile, Pearsall ended his rookie campaign with two strong showings and looks like an appealing late-round sleeper to target. Demarcus Robinson, signed from the Rams, could also factor in early. Uncertainty in the receiving corps will lead to an enhanced target share for TE George Kittle. Fantasy’s TE3 last season, Kittle ranked 7th with 94 targets and 6th in target share (22 percent). An increase in looks would cement his place as the No. 3 fantasy option behind Brock Bowers and Trey McBride. Fantasy Grade: B- QB Purdy, Brock, SF [QB1] Although he finished as a QB1 in fantasy points per game, Brock Purdy took a step back as a passer in his third season. Purdy’s completion rate, touchdowns, and deep-ball accuracy declined. Injuries played a part, both to Purdy and his supporting cast, but opposing defenses also figured him out. Purdy ranked 2nd versus zone coverage but 32nd against man- a trend that will have to be cleaned up in a Kyle Shanahan offense. Additionally, Deebo Samuel was traded, but the return of a healthy RB Christian McCaffrey should help. The extension looms, and Purdy has to take advantage of the league’s easiest schedule in 2025. ADVICE: Fringe QB1 and adequate starter. RB McCaffrey, Christian, SF [RB1] Fantasy managers who burned the 1.01 on Christian McCaffrey last season will undoubtedly shy away in 2025. But at some point, McCaffrey’s league-winning upside will appeal to a manager willing to take the risk of him staying healthy– something he’s struggled to do since 2020. CMC is reportedly fully recovered from the Achilles and knee injuries that limited him to four games. A fully healthy McCaffrey still has elite upside in Kyle Shanahan’s offense, but Isaac Guerendo and fifth-round Oregon rookie Jordan James could see more touches to keep McCaffrey healthy in his waning years. ADVICE: Enormous upside makes McCaffrey an appealing gamble in the 2nd round. RB Guerendo, Isaac, SF [RB2] Isaac Guerendo is a great example of a late-round pick with league-winning upside. Guerendo is the next man up behind the oft-injured Christian McCaffrey. In the four games that Guerendo received double-digit carries last season, he averaged 16.8 fantasy points per game. Despite seeing a stacked front at the highest rate of any RB, Guerendo ranked 6th with 5.8 yards per touch. He’s an elite handcuff target to a player who has missed 37 games in the last five seasons. ADVICE: One of the top handcuffs to target in fantasy football, who could have standalone value as a change-of-pace back. WR Jennings, Jauan, SF [WR1] In 2024, Jauan Jennings posted career-highs with 77 receptions, 975 yards, and six touchdowns, averaging 14.0 PPR points per game. His 2.45 yards per route run ranked 11th among WRs, showcasing efficiency. Jennings thrived as Brock Purdy’s top target, earning an 8.5 targets-per-game average. With Brandon Aiyuk’s recovery uncertain and Deebo Samuel traded, Jennings could lead the 49ers’ receiving corps. Despite competition from George Kittle and Ricky Pearsall, his 32 percent target share signals strong fantasy upside. ADVICE: Asserted himself as a legitimate threat last year and will be San Francisco’s top wideout until Brandon Aiyuk is healthy. WR Pearsall, Ricky, SF [WR2] More than half of Ricky Pearsall’s fantasy production came in Weeks 17 and 18, after San Francisco’s season was over. And the 18.9 PPR points in the season finale came with Josh Dobbs under center. The trade of Deebo Samuel frees up Pearsall to take on a bigger role in his second season. While there’s a lot to like in Pearsall’s athletic measurables, recency bias has made him awfully expensive. However, we’re willing to potentially overpay on the upside. ADVICE: Pearsall will have an opportunity to contribute more, and he’s starting to look like a potential stud. WR Aiyuk, Brandon, SF [WR3] Another star wideout coming off a major knee injury, we would move Brandon Aiyuk up 10-15 spots if we knew he would be healthy and in San Francisco’s lineups for their season opener in Seattle. Staying alive in a tightly-packed division is at stake as the 6-7 San Francisco 49ers host the surging 7-6 Los Angeles Rams. The second-place Rams have won three of four since getting healthier. They also beat the Niners back in Week 3, 27-24.
Meanwhile, San Francisco has no margin for error. Kyle Shanahan’s squad is in must-win territory and views all their remaining games as playoff contests. For the reigning NFC champs to keep their postseason hopes alive, they must even the score with a Rams team that just put up 44 points on the Bills.
This game is about as close as one would expect. San Fran is favored by 2.5 points and the total of 49.5 invites plenty of fantasy action.

Sean McVay has done a masterful job rallying his troops. The Rams have been devastated by injuries on both sides of the ball. After starting the season 1-4, the Rams have won 6-of-8 to climb into second place in the wide-open NFC West.
After hovering near the bottom of the league, LA is now an average offense that has looked formidable over the last six weeks. Getting key players back has been paramount.
Speaking of injuries, San Francisco has had their share. The 49ers have been missing Brandon Aiyuk and Christian McCaffrey for the majority of the year. And McCaffrey isn’t the only running back to go down. In fact, the team may be down to their fourth starting running back to open Week 15.
However, the team continues to overcome adversity on offense. The Niners are one of the most balanced attacks in the league that continues to create chunk plays and produce points.
The atmosphere for this contest will mimic a playoff game. And that includes the pressure and ramifications for the loser. This should be another intriguing watch.

San Francisco enters this game at 2-3 after a crushing 1-point home loss to the Cardinals. The Niners can pass and run with the best of them. However, their defense has slipped. Returning to 500 won’t be easy on short rest traveling to one of the NFL’s toughest venues.
Meanwhile, the Seahawks had their own letdown here at Lumen Field last Sunday. Seattle’s defense allowed the Giants to rack up 420 yards and 24 first downs in a 29-20 upset. Now, the pressure is on to quickly move on against their hated division rivals.
The opening line for this game was quite surprising, with the Seahawks being 5.5-point underdogs. However, early movement on Seattle has dropped that down to 3.5.

Last week, we weren’t as profitable as in Week 1. But we still came away in the green due to our multiple units on Joe Burrow. After a 6-1 Week 1 record, we went 3-3 in Week 2 but gained 1.45 Units. Breece Hall Anytime Touchdown (-165)
Breece has scored a touchdown in each of his first two contests of the young season and although he’s facing a stingy New England Patriots run defense, the offense will continue to run through Hall. Yes, Braelon Allen found the end zone twice last week but Hall has seen 21 touches in each of his first matchups of the season, and we all know that volume is king.
Hall faced New England twice in his rookie campaign. The first time, he was held in check with just 18 scoreless rushing yards and a lone reception for nine yards. But that was just his third game as an NFL pro. Later in the season when the Jets faced the Patriots for a second time, Hall shredded the defense. The stud running back tallied 178 rushing yards on 37 carries and found the end zone. Additionally, he caught two passes for 12 yards.
Aaron Rodgers has been using Hall substantially in the short passing game so Hall has a chance to find the end zone not just as a rusher but also as a receiver. Last week, he hauled in a 26-yard touchdown reception where he looked more like a receiver than a running back. The kid has serious skills and great hands. Jalen Hurts, PHI (DK – $8,100/FD – $8,800)
The Eagles completed a challenging five-game stretch (DAL, @KC, BUF, SF, and @DAL), where they went 3-2. Over this span, Hurts averaged 210 passing yards with six touchdowns. He helped his floor with success in the run game (48/180/6). His best value in fantasy points came in Week 4 (31.35), Week 8 (31.55), and Week 12 (38.50). When at his best, Hurts attempted more than 35 passes (six times).
The Seahawks rank 22nd defending quarterbacks (20.75 FPPG), with one team scoring more than 30.00 fantasy points (DAL – 322/3). Five teams (LAR – 334/0, DET – 323/3, CAR – 361/2, WAS – 312/3, and SF – 368/2) passed for more than 300 yards. Their defense has risk at times vs. running quarterbacks (NYG – 10/66, ARI – 7/43/1, and BAL – 14/68). In addition, running backs scored 16 of their 36 offensive touchdowns allowed. Seattle’s defense gave up 13 touchdowns and three field goals over 35 possessions by their opponents.
The Eagles have risk defending the pass, pointing to a competitive game on the scoreboard. Hurts has a winnable matchup, and Philadelphia needs to regain the bounce in their offense after being held to 32 points over the past two weeks.

Top Tier Options
Josh Allen, BUF (DK – $8,300/FD – $9,000)
Over his last seven starts, Allen gained fewer than 7.0 yards per pass attempt in five matchups (5.6, 6.5, 6.8, 6.8, and 6.6). He threw an interception in eight consecutive games. Allen tried to carry the Bills on his back in his start vs. the Eagles (420 combined yards with four touchdowns), but it wasn’t enough to win the game. All three (39.70, 32.35, and 33.30) of his other games with more than 30.00 fantasy points came at home. He has nine rushing scores over his last 10 starts.
Kansas City slipped to ninth in quarterback defense (17.55 FPPG), with only Jordan Love (26.35) scoring more than 25.00 fantasy points. They allow 6.9 yards per pass attempt, with quarterbacks tossing 18 touchdowns. The Chiefs have yet to give up more than three touchdowns in any matchup in 2023.
Allen is the highest-scoring quarterback (27.91) with a reasonable chance at scoring 3 times his salary at DraftKings in most weeks. His ceiling requires the Chiefs to play at a higher level offensively as well. I view him as more of a gamble than a target in Week 14.
Patrick Mahomes, KC (DK – $7,900/FD – $8,400)
Over the last five games, Patrick Mahomes averaged 222 passing yards with only seven touchdowns and some help in the run game (24/117). The Chiefs’ lack of star power at wide receiver remains an issue. His only game (453/4) supporting his current salary came in Week 7 at home against the Chargers. Mahomes has 14 touchdowns in six games in Kansas City compared to eight on the road over the same number of snaps. In 2022, he gained 359 yards and two touchdowns vs. the Bills.

We are back to make some cash on player props in Week 13. Through the first 12 weeks of the season, we are now 34-28 (+6.9 Units). Sports betting is about riding the hot streaks and surviving the cold spells. After our first losing streak of the season in back-to-back weeks, it’s time to get back into the winning column. Have some faith as lady luck is about to shine some light on some juicy plays for us to exploit with these Week 13 NFL Player Props.
As always, I will be listing my seven favorite player props of the week as we gear up for Week 13’s slate of NFL matchups. Unlike last week when every one of the 32 teams was in action, six teams will get some rest on their bye weeks. The Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, New York Giants, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, and Las Vegas Raiders will not suit up in Week 13. That said, we still have 13 competitive matchups this week with only three games that have a spread of more than a touchdown.
Fantasy football players have an edge when it comes to prop betting because we are so in tune with individual player performances. As always, remember to odds shop at your different sportsbooks to find the best values for the prop bets listed below. Now, let’s get down to business and find the best Week 13 NFL player prop bets and continue our profitable NFL season.
Brock Purdy OVER 254.5 Passing Yards (-115)
The San Francisco 49ers have done an excellent job surrounding Purdy with immense talent. With Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, and of course Christian McCaffrey, Purdy has all the weapons in his arsenal to continue to move the ball effectively, even if this may be his toughest test to date.
In a preview of what many expect to be the NFC Championship, the Niners draw the 10-1 Philadelphia Eagles on the road in Week 13. Although Philly’s defensive front tends to get a ton of pressure on opposing quarterbacks, this defense has struggled at limiting yardage through the air. The Eagles rank 29th in the league in passing yards allowed per game and allow the second-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season.
In San Francisco’s 31-13 thrashing of the Seattle Seahawks on Thanksgiving Day, Purdy only mustered 209 passing yards. But that’s because the team didn’t need him to sling it as they dominated in every facet of the game and had a double-digit lead most of the game after a 17-point second quarter. However, prior to last week’s outing, Purdy has topped 260 passing yards in four straight contests.
It’s also important to note that the Eagles have the third-ranked rushing defense in the NFL. Although Kyle Shanahan would love to employ a run-heavy approach utilizing superstar Christian McCaffrey in the trenches and Deebo Samuel on the edge, the running game may not be so effective against this high-caliber defensive front. If the Niners are going to keep pace with Jalen Hurts and the Eagles, Purdy will have to air it out.
The Eagles are coming off an impressive 37-34 overtime victory over the Buffalo Bills but they did allow a whopping 339 passing yards from Josh Allen. And although they held Patrick Mahomes in check, yielding just 177 passing yards from him in Week 11, Dak Prescott lit this secondary up to for 374 yards back in Week 9 before Philly’s Week 10 bye. Want more evidence? Sam Howell produced 397 passing yards against the Eagles back in Week 8 and Howell isn’t as talented as Purdy nor does he have the same caliber of weapons at his disposal. It’s clear that although Philly is finding ways to win (sometimes in ugly fashion), they are very beatable in the passing game.
In what should be a very tightly contested battle, San Francisco will have to throw the ball often to move the chains and put points up on the board. Given Purdy’s recent form, the weapons around him, expected gameflow, and Philly’s recent struggles against the pass, Purdy should eclipse this line easily. I’m throwing multiple units on this one. Let’s dive right into the projections typically reserved for FullTime Fantasy Members, by team and by position: 49ers vs Vikings Projections There aren’t a ton of great value plays on tonight’s slate. It’s pretty top-heavy and we would implore you to stick with the trustworthy 49ers. RB Christian McCaffrey is active. But his prohibitive salary and injury status make him a bit risky. It’s tough to squeeze him into a Captain’s spot, so we’ll be looking to add a more balanced lineup. With Deebo Samuel sidelined, Brandon Aiyuk may make for the best Captain. We would also recommend a stack with Brock Purdy. And to add some cap space, Brandon Powell looks like a decent value at his cheap price tag considering Justin Jefferson is still sidelined. Obviously, feel free to mix and match all of the higher-value players for your contest selections tonight. For a contrarian build, our projections determined that George Kittle and Jordan Addison are the only other players who can be considered for the captain spot. If you pass on Christian McCaffrey or Brandon Aiyuk in the captain slot and go with Kittle or Addison, you may be able to slot in both quarterbacks. Happy Lineup Building! New York pulled off an improbable comeback on Sunday in Arizona but must avoid getting down early to this talented San Francisco squad. Also, the Giants are expected to be without their top offensive weapon.
The 49ers look like one of the best teams in football. San Francisco has won 12 of their last 18 against the G-Men and enter this game as 9.5-point favorites.

Things looked dire for the Giants last week. After getting drubbed in their opener, Brian Daboll’s team found themselves down 20-0 at halftime against the lowly Arizona Cardinals in Glendale on Sunday. Fortunately, the Giants stormed back and outscored the Cards 31-7 in the second half to improve to 1-1.
Playing that lackadaisically won’t work against Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers.
San Francisco beat the Rams to improve to 2-0. The 49ers boast the league’s No. 7 offense and have also allowed the third-fewest points in the league. Shanahan’s crew can win via the pass or run and will bring it defensively.
Also, the Giants will be without their best weapon, RB Saquon Barkley. This complicates things for Daboll and company. Also, the Giants will be without Andrew Thomas and Ben Bredeson on the offensive line.
