Bijan Robinson is easily the biggest riser of any first-round pick since fantasy drafts commenced at the Fantasy Football World Championship back in June. In those early drafts, I was able to land the talented back at picks 10-12. However, those days are long gone. Robinson has since soared to an ADP of 5.8.
I am not sure I would tab Bijan over Breece Hall, but….

Our NFL Traning Camp News & Notes will catch you up on the latest and how it impacts your upcoming fantasy football draft. Arizona Cardinals • Looks like RB James Conner remains a solid sleeper target. Rookie Trey McBride has not impressed head coach Jonathan Gannon. Emari Demercado has been getting some third-down reps. 2 minutes and 23 seconds of #Cardinals HC Jonathan Gannon telling you to stop drafting Trey Benson at his current ADP (115 on @UnderdogFantasy) pic.twitter.com/9wXw71Bnhv — The Coachspeak Index (@CoachspeakIndex) July 31, 2024 • Greg Dortch has impressed and may be in the lead for WR3 duties ahead of Zay Jones per Bob Manaman. • QB Kyler Murray will not play in the preseason. This is good news. Murray has nothing to prove and only risks getting hurt. Atlanta Falcons • Ray-Ray McCloud has been running ahead of Rondale Moore as Atlanta’s WR3. • Kirk Cousins has an apparent chemistry with Darnell Mooney. • WR Rondale Moore was carted off the field and seen with an air cast on his leg. That generally means a fairly significant injury. This all but locks Ray-Ray McCloud in as Atlanta’s WR3. UPDATE: Moore was placed on season-ending IR with a knee injury. Baltimore Ravens • QB Lamar Jackson returned from an illness. He did not appear to be impacted at all. Seems like a non-issue. • Per The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec “Rasheen Ali is the front-runner to earn the No. 3 role. Aside from a fumble last week that dredged up some of the ball-security issues he had at Marshall, Ali has had a solid camp and has looked comfortable catching balls out of the backfield.” Buffalo Bills •WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling’s first-team reps have dwindled amidst a slow start to training camp, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports. •The Athletic’s Joe Buscaglia reports Khalil Shakir “has been one of the most consistent, dependable players” in Bills training camp. Shakir, entering his third NFL season, finally has a chance to function as an every-down player in Josh Allen’s offense, and has made the most of his training camp opportunities. Shakir’s big plays during camp, Buscaglia said, is “a reminder of how important he is to the scope of the Bills offense in 2024.” Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady said last week that Shakir is “as consistent as they come.” So far, it looks like Shakir, Curtis Samuel, and Keon Coleman are the favorites to run in three-receiver sets for Buffalo this season. Former Panthers WR Steve Smith Sr. also revealed this week that he worked with the former second-round pick over the summer. • Xavier Leggette (day-to-day) is dealing with a foot injury. MRIs came up clean. • Jonathon Brooks won’t play in the preseason and could make his NFL debut in “Week 3 or 4.” • Diontae Johnson, Adam Thielen, and Jonathan Mingo were listed as starters on Carolina’s first official depth chart. Chicago Bears • Caleb Williams has been as good as advertised. • D.J. Moore signed a 4-year, $110 million extension with $82.6 million guaranteed. Cincinnati Bengals • The Athletic’s Paul Dehner suggests Andrei Iosivas is the favorite to win the Bengals’ No. 3 WR job. “The more Iosivas stacks practices, the more you wonder whether he won’t just soak up nearly all of [Tyler] Boyd’s 824 vacated snaps from last season,” Dehner writes. Joe Burrow finds Andrei Iosivas for the touchdown during a grueling, hot 11-on-11 period. Cleveland Browns • RB D’Onta Foreman was released from a local hospital with a head injury. • Deshaun Watson has looked sharp this offseason but the club has not determined if he’ll play in Cleveland’s preseason opener. Dallas Cowboys • Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle was mentioned as “battling it out” with RB Malik Davis by EVP Stephen Jones. He was highly complimentary of RB Royce Freeman. • The Athletic’s Jon Machota said Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle “has to be the favorite to lead the team in rushing.” Denver Broncos • RB Javonte Williams has resurrected his 2024 fantasy value. “Javonte Williams, who shed 10 pounds this offseason, looks quicker and is another year removed from his ACL surgery. Ben Johnson on WR Jameson Williams: “Things have started to slow down mentally for him. We’ve locked him into a couple spots and as a result, his route tree has grown, it’s developed. Let’s see what he forecasts this year with our 2024 Preseason Pro: Jody Smith. — BREAKOUT — Isiah Pacheco (RB) Kansas City Chiefs Identifying feature backs on good offenses is key to building winning fantasy rosters. With Jerick McKinnon gone, Isiah Pacheco has a clear path to a three-down role in one of the NFL’s most potent offenses. And it’s a role we already know Pacheco can thrive in. In his sophomore season, Pacheco saw a big boost in usage. Particularly as a receiver where he reeled in 44-of-49 targets. McKinnon accounted for an additional 32 targets. Nobody else on KC’s roster is a threat to usurp Pacheco on passing downs. Additionally, Pacheco focused all offseason on improving his pass-catching skills. Pacheco already proved he could be an elite producer. Despite missing three games, he posted RB15 fantasy numbers a year ago. However, it was his production in games where he had a workhorse role that is indicative that Pacheco has big-time upside. Including the postseason, Pacheco averaged 19.6 PPR points per game in the nine games he topped 20 touches. That would have ranked as the RB3 in 2023. With only Clyde Edwards-Helaire an unproven Deneric Prince behind him on the depth chart, Pacheco appears to be in line for massive usage. Finally, Pacheco will command most of the red-zone work in an offense that significantly improved in the offseason. Isiah Pacheco checks all the boxes to contend for top-5 fantasy RB numbers. Consequently, he’s my favorite breakout pick this summer. — SLEEPER — Christian Kirk (WR) Jacksonville Jaguars Maybe it’s last year’s second-half collapse that has early fantasy drafters avoiding Jacksonville. That seems like an egregious error. Even in a “down” year for Doug Pederson’s squad, the Jags offense ranked ninth in passing, 13th in scoring, and sixth with 65.5 plays per game. More importantly, Calvin Ridley and his 76/1,016/8 line on 136 targets are gone. The team did add Brian Thomas Jr. and Gabe Davis. However, Christian Kirk is this group’s clear top dog. Before Ridley’s signing, Kirk acted as Jacksonville’s No. 1 option and had a strong connection with QB Trevor Lawrence. Kirk finished as a fantasy WR1 in that role back in 2022. That season, he ranked top-15 in targets (133), grabs (84), yards (1,108), and scores (8). Thomas is a promising prospect but could take time to adjust to NFL-caliber defenses. Davis is the logical choice to replace Ridley as the club’s main deep threat. However, Davis is wildly inconsistent. It all adds up to a surplus of targets for TE Evan Engram and Kirk. Kirk is being selected outside of the top 30 wideouts in early fantasy drafts. He has a proven track record and will overcome the Jags’ tough strength of schedule with sheer volume. I believe Kirk will contend for top-15 fantasy numbers as the club’s No. 1 wideout. He’s one of my favorite sleepers to target in the middle rounds as a WR3. — BUST — De’Von Achane (RB) Miami Dolphins Before you tag @FantasyRecepits and @OldTakesExposed, hear me out. I love De’Von Achane. Think he’s an elite talent. However, I firmly believe he is being drafted above his ceiling. Therefore, he’s a player I expect to have little or no exposure to in 2024. That might not define the traditional “bust,” but the hype on Achane has lifted his ADP inside the top 20 overall. I don’t think people are considering the risk. First, Miami brought back Raheem Mostert. Although Mostert’s role in the passing game declined, he remained the team’s leading rusher. Especially in the red

High-Stakes Draft Sees Anthony Richardson Go QB1 In Latest Circa Championship Draft In the latest Circa Las Vegas Fantasy Championship draft on Saturday night, managers witnessed the first real shock of the 2024 fantasy football season. Indianapolis Colts dual-threat quarterback Anthony Richardson was drafted as the overall QB1. The second-year signal-caller shockingly came off the board at 5.8 a near full round ahead of Josh Allen (6.6) as well as two rounds ahead of Patrick Mahomes (7.2), C.J. Stroud (7.6) and Jalen Hurts (7.9). Betting Movement Series: Big Expectations For Rookie RB | Elite RB Vegas is Fading | RB Ascending Up Early Draft Boards | WR Who May Struggle To Fulfill ADP value Is a player who has only played in four career NFL games worthy of being drafted first among all quarterbacks in re-draft leagues in 2024? Richardson Goes QB1 Obviously, fantasy managers are high on Richardson after seeing him throw for three touchdowns while also rushing for four touchdowns prior to suffering a season-ending shoulder injury in Week 5 against the Titans. The talented quarterback has seen his stock rise this summer owning an ADP of 74.2 / QB4. Last month, Richardson was the overall QB6 but has since moved ahead of both C.J. Stroud and Joe Burrow. However, this past weekend the hype reached a fever pitch when the former Flordia Gator stand-out came off the board ahead of arguably the best players at the position. Richardson has fantasy managers all-in as their QB1 due to his recent comments that he will not shy away from running the ball despite being injured last season on a rushing attempt. “My legs have always been one of my superpowers,” said Richardson recently. “So, trying to take that away from me, I don’t think that’s a good thing for this offense. It’s just more so me playing a little bit smarter and learning how to take care of myself and my teammates. Knowing when to make the right play and knowing when to try to get the extra few yards. Don’t take my legs away, but just be more smart.” #Colts QB Anthony Richardson on HC Shane Steichen trusting him to make the right reads as a runner: “My legs always been one of my superpowers. Despite only a small size, oddsmakers are bullish on Richardson in betting markets listing him with a passing yards betting projection of 3200.5 at DraftKings. The biggest move involving Richardson involves his passing touchdown number which opened at 15.5 but has since steamed to 18.5. His rushing yards betting demand has risen from 500.5 to 550.5 while his rushing touchdown number has held steady at 7.5 “Despite intriguing rushing talent, I am not willing to draft Richardson ahead of Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen or Jalen Hurts.” – Frankie Taddeo In comparison, Josh Allen has betting projections of 3750.5 passing yards, 27.5 passing touchdowns, 480.5 rushing yards, and 9.5 rushing touchdowns. Despite only having a betting rushing yards projection of 329.5, Patrick Mahomes owns the highest passing yards demand of 4350.5 as well as the highest passing touchdowns number at 34.5. Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts owns a passing yards number of 3600.5, 22.5 passing touchdowns, 550.5 rushing yards, and 9.5 rushing touchdowns projection. Purely from a statistical betting perspective, it is very hard to defend drafting Richardson ahead of any of the top three options. His current ADP at the FFWC of QB4, behind only Allen, Hurts and Mahomes seems a bit high to me. While being in the same tier as Jackson, Stroud, Burrow, Love, and Prescott I will certainly own shares of A-Rich, but I will not be investing premium round draft capital nor will I ever draft him ahead of Allen, Hurts, or Mahomes. Oddsmakers List Veteran WR To Lead NFL In Receptions The latest in our series of highlighting players that are witnessing noteworthy recognition by oddsmakers results in focusing on an emerging fourth-year wideout who is shockingly being predicted to lead the NFL in receptions in 2024. SERIES: Big Expectations For Rookie RB | Elite RB Vegas is Fading | RB Ascending Up Early Draft Boards | WR Who May Struggle To Fulfill ADP value A major component of my success playing high-stakes fantasy football at the FFWC is incorporating player projections of oddsmakers into my NFL model. I began creating my model back in 2010 when I created the only over-the-counter DFS program offered to date in a Las Vegas sportsbook. The Best of the Best Despite being listed by oddsmakers in the top two spots to lead the league in receiving yards (1,375.5) and touchdowns (9.5), CeeDee Lamb and Tyreek Hill do not hold that honor in the receptions market. Instead, that distinction belongs to Lions star wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown. Fresh off career highs in receptions (119), yards (1,510), and touchdowns (10) the talented wide receiver is being power-ranked by oddsmakers stunningly ahead of both Lamb and Hill. Brown, who finished tied for second last season with Hill hauling in 119 receptions, owns the highest betting projection for catches in 2024 at 107.5. Lamb, who led the NFL last season with 135 catches, is listed at 105.5 followed by Hill, Ja’Marr Chase, and Justin Jefferson all owning a betting demand of 100.5. AMON-RA ST. The elite WR1 owns an ADP of 5.3 / WR4 never coming off the board lower than 1.8. ASB, a near consensus Top 5 pick in re-drafts, as well as New York Jets star wideout Garrett Wilson, joined exclusive company after impressive 2023 campaigns. Prior to last season only four wide receivers since 2000 had recorded 175-plus catches and 2,000-plus receiving yards across their first two seasons: Justin Jefferson, Odell Beckham Jr, Michael Thomas, and Jaylen Waddle. It should be no shock to see both ASB and Wilson come off the board early in the first round of drafts. VEGAS ODDSMAKERS PREDICTING ELITE PRODUCTION A deeper dive reveals that ASB scored double-digit fantasy points in 16 of 17 regular season games last season on the strength of nine 100-plus yard receiving efforts as well as 13 games of six-plus receptions. Only one word describes that: ELITE. Oddsmakers, who initially installed ASB with a receiving yards betting projection of 1200.5, have adjusted the 24-year-old wideout up to a betting demand of 1250.5 at DraftKings. While only moving his projection minimally, the most highlighted move involves listing ASB ahead of Lamb, Hill, and Chase in the overall receptions betting market at 107.5. “Anytime a player is listed above the likes of CeeDee Lamb, Tyreek Hill, and Ja’Marr Chase, in any betting market, fantasy managers need to take note.” – Frankie Taddeo While ASB has displayed he can “flip or leap” defenders on the field, he still has not been able to leapfrog Lamb or CMC in any recent Circa Championship draft this summer – finding a peak of 1.3 overall. His receptions have improved from 90 to 106 to 119, his yards from 912 to 1,161 to 1,515, and his receiving touchdowns from 5 to 6 to 10. That trajectory tells us Jared Goff’s top target is primed for new career highs especially if he receives 145-plus targets for the third straight campaign. ASB (28.6%) led the team in target share followed by tight end Sam LaPorta (20.9%). After those elite receiving weapons there was a massive drop off as no other Lions player finished above 12%. That trend should continue again in 2024 as the current Detroit wideout depth chart consisting of Kalif Raymond, Jameson Williams, Tre’Quan Smith, and Donovan Peoples-Jones pose no real threats to derail his alpha target demand. Last season the Lions ranked 5th in points scored (461), 3rd in total offense (6,712 yards), 2nd in offensive touchdowns (57), and fourth in points per drive (2.42). Fantasy managers, picking in the middle of the first round of drafts, should invest in shares of ASB as he will be playing in a prolific Top 5 NFL offense in 2024 – more importantly, owning the majority of the target share. Here is a deep dive into the 2024 Fantasy Football Strength of Schedule: QB and how to take advantage of that data this draft season. The numbers listed include Weeks 1-17. Favorable Schedules Brock Purdy (San Francisco 49ers) – After finishing as the QB in 2023, Brock Purdy is one of the most undervalued players in fantasy football. Purdy is a perfect fit in Kyle Shanahan’s offense. He led the NFL in yards per attempt and has one of the top supporting casts in football. Purdy has won 17 of his 21 career regular-season starts and oddsmakers expect that success to continue. San Francisco is projected to repeat as NFC champions and the 2024 NFL schedule sets up very favorably. In addition to six games against their defensively-challenged NFC West rivals, San Francisco’s second-half schedule has matchups against bottom-10 secondaries in Tampa, Miami, and Detroit. Also, that fantasy playoff slate versus the Dolphins and Lions looks appealing in tournament leagues. Dak Prescott (Dallas Cowboys) – There are myriad reasons to be concerned about Dak Prescott and the Dallas passing game peaking last season. However, if the Cowboys contend with top-5 offensive numbers again, their easy quarterback schedule will play a big role. After a challenging start, Prescott should thrive in the second half of the 2024 slate. Starting in Week 9, Dallas plays four consecutive games versus opponents that were below average in terms of ceding fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Additionally, the Cowboys have a phenomenal fantasy playoff stretch, including a home game against a Tampa defense that allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to the position and a fantasy finale in Philadelphia versus an Eagles’ secondary that surrendered the second-most. Sounds like an over/under north of 50 points. Just what the fantasy doctors ordered. Caleb Williams (Chicago Bears) – The Bears have never had a quarterback exceed 4,000 passing yards or throw for 30 touchdowns in a season. Enter No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams, one of the most heralded QB prospects in recent years. Williams threw for 4,537 yards and 42 scores en route to 2022 Heisman honors at USC. Williams is an accurate gunslinger who will give Matt Eberflus and the Bears a legitimate shot at challenging franchise records in both categories right away. Chicago is stacked with weapons, including WRs D.J. Moore, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze, and RB D’Andre Swift. And Chicago’s schedule sets up well for Williams to post fantasy-relevant numbers immediately. The Bears have six games against opponents that ranked inside the bottom 7 in points allowed to QBs last season. Also, both of the team’s fantasy postseason tilts against Detroit and Seattle’s subpar secondaries will be in Chicago. Jordan Love (Green Bay Packers) – Last season, FullTime Fantasy’s strength of schedule analysis helped predict Jordan Love’s breakout. In 2024, Love again has an intriguing slate of games that indicate he won’t be a flash in the pan. The Packers get those six games against the weak NFC North secondaries. However, they also play the Chargers, Cardinals, Texans, Jaguars, Dolphins, and Seahawks. Each team was below average in allowing fantasy points to quarterbacks last season. Additionally, one thing that always needs to be factored into Green Bay’s schedule is the weather. Starting in Week 9, the Packers have six games that winter conditions could impact. Still, Love looked like the real deal in 2023 and will contend for top-10 fantasy numbers in his second season as the starter. Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs) – When all is said and done, I believe Patrick Mahomes will be my QB1 for 2024. While last year was a bit of a struggle, Kansas City’s offseason additions, Josh Allen’s offseason losses, and KC’s schedule are indicative of a huge rebound for the league’s top signal caller. Expect the new offense to get out to a fast start. After a potentially tough opener, the Chiefs play three consecutive games versus opponents who were in the bottom 12 against the pass last season. Mahomes also gets to face the NFC South and has a tantalizing three-game home stretch starting in Week 13 against the Raiders. Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown are both huge upgrades for a Chiefs’ passing attack that was rather stagnant in 2023 without a downfield speed element. Plus, the seventh-easiest fantasy schedule for Mahomes sets up nicely for the two-time defending champs. Other schedules to target: J.J McCarthy (3rd), Bryce Young 5th), Lamar Jackson (8th) Difficult Schedules Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins) – Last summer, the concerns about Tua Tagovailoa were health-related. However, Tagovailoa stayed healthy for the first time in his career and led the NFL with 4,624 passing yards. While that was a huge plus, Tagovailoa only ranked 20th in fantasy points per game and offers nothing as a runner. Those are legitimate concerns at a QB position that is as deep as it’s ever been. Additionally, the schedule makers didn’t do the Dolphins any favors in 2024. Miami has the league’s hardest schedule for the QB position. The Dolphins have six games against the Jets (2nd), Bills (5th), and Patriots (8th) elite secondaries. Additionally, Miami’s fantasy playoff slate is imposing. Pro Forecast Magazine “Bloopers” Corrections If you’ve been a fantasy football fan for any number of years, chances are you’re very familiar with the annual Pro Forecast Fantasy Football Magazine. A multi-time winner for the FSWA Magazine of the Year, the Football Diehards annual has been a staple for fantasy football fanatics for 35 seasons. When word came that our friend Emil Kadlec would have to shutter the magazine as he battles cancer, the FullTime Fantasy crew stepped up to assure that the Pro Forecast Fantasy Football magazine would carry on Emil’s legacy. Print media is a whole new challenge for us. However, Emil remained the centerpiece of our effort and helped guide us along on the journey. We’re proud of the results and are confident it will remain one of the top-selling publications of the summer. However, this first foray wasn’t without hiccups. Between rapidly approaching deadlines and communication hurdles with publishers, some mistakes made it into the pages. We believe in being transparent and want to make corrections for all of our readers. With one challenging issue under our belts, we’re confident that next season’s magazine will continue Emil’s tremendous tradition and quality. Here are those revisions. Corrections •Bijan Robinson’s Player Capsule (Page 80) talks glowingly of Josh Allen. However, most readers are more interested in Robinson’s profile. Here it is. RB Bijan Robinson, ATL – Stud (low risk) Giving Bijan Robinson just one game all season with 20-plus rushing attempts earned Arthur Smith a Crimes Against Fantasy Award. Robinson got fewer attempts than Devin Singletary but still finished his rookie campaign as an RB1 thanks to his 86 targets, which were tied for second among running backs. Additionally, with Smith gone, Robinson is primed to see a much bigger role with Zac Robinson running the offense. Robinson came from the Rams who adhered to a feature-back system. The presence of Kirk Cousins will only help Robinson and the Falcons. Look for Robinson to see a boost in touches in his second season and be a strong breakout candidate. ADVICE: Locked-In RB1 with position-leading upside •The consensus expert TE rankings (TOTAL) on Page 44 list the top 10 quarterbacks instead of tight ends. It should read: LaPorta Kelce Andrews McBride Kincaid Kittle Engram Pitts Njoku Ferguson •On Page 22, Brian Robinson Jr. has the profile for James Conner. Here is B-Rob’s correct capsule. RB BRIAN ROBINSON – SLEEPER (UNDERVALUED) Even though he saw fewer touches in his second season, Brian Robinson was far more efficient. He broke more long runs, forced more missed tackles, and punched in three more scores. The biggest surprise for Robinson was his receiving production. He reeled in 36-of-43 targets and averaged a whopping 10.2 yards per catch with four more TDs. Unfortunately, Austin Ekeler will eat into Robinson’s opportunities, especially as a receiver. QB Jayden Daniels will also be a threat to steal goal-line looks but Robinson will command most of the early-down work in an improved Commanders’ offense. He remains a viable RB3/Flex option. ADVICE: Another excellent sleeper to target in an exciting offense •David Montgomery (Page 22) has Jahmyr Gibbs’s stats listed. Here are Montgomery’s 2023 projections: 230 attempts, 1030 rushing yards (4.48 YPC), 10 rushing TDs, 19 receptions, 125 receiving yards (6.58 YPR), 0 TD, 194.5 PPR pts. •Isiah Pacheco and Breece Hall have 2022 receiving stats, not 2023. • On Page 78 Matt Stafford’s stats are correct but listed as DET, not LAR. • Page 106 “It All Starts Up Front” accidentally used the article from the 2023 annual. 2024 Offensive Line Rankings This 2024 Offensive Line Rankings post is courtesy of FTNFantasy‘s Adam Pfeifer and is featured in the 2024 Football Diehards Fantasy Football Magazine. Offensive linemen don’t score fantasy points but they sure have a huge impact on the players that do. Just ask Jason Kelce. Tush push aside (pun), the offensive line has recently received more attention in fantasy football discussions, but still not enough. I mean, think about it. The first player to touch the ball on every single play? The center. We’ve seen elite offensive lines elevate the play of running backs and quarterbacks, while poor units can often hold players back. A weak pass-blocking unit not only impacts the quarterback but also limits what a downfield wide receiver can do considering their routes need time to develop. So understanding which units are strong, which need work, and which are disasters can be just one of many edges to be had in fantasy football. The Elite Philadelphia Eagles For years, the Eagles have had the best offensive line in football. And even with Hall of Fame center Jason Kelce retiring, this still remains arguably the top unit in all of football. This past season, Philadelphia remained the elite run-blocking convoy. According to FTN Data, D’Andre Swift was contacted behind the line of scrimmage on 17.9% of his rush attempts last year, which was the ninth-best rate among running backs with at least 50 carries. He averaged a healthy 2.49 yards before contact per rush attempt and according to FTN’s DVOA, just 14% of Philadelphia’s total carries were stuffed at or behind the line of scrimmage, the second-best rate in football. Somewhere, Saquon Barkley is smiling. It isn’t a positive that Kelce is gone but the Eagles are still loaded. Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata are arguably the league’s best tackle duo and to replace Kelce, Philadelphia will call on third-year center Cam Jurgens, who was responsible for just two quarterback hits and zero sacks on 383 pass-blocking snaps in 2023. In fact, quarterback Jalen Hurts was hit just 29 total times last year (27th), with just six coming while throwing the football. Of course, you can’t replicate or underrate the impact Kelce has on this entire team, let alone the offensive line. But this is still the best unit in all of football with a legendary coach in Jeff Stoutland. Los Angeles Rams There were plenty of questions surrounding the Rams entering the 2023 season. The 2022 season was filled with injuries, poor play, and a handful of different starting units. But the Rams were quite the story this past season, posting a top-five PFF run-blocking grade, which helped breakout running back Kyren Williams average the second-most yards before contact per attempt (3.0). The addition of Steve Avila was huge, as his versatility allows him to play anywhere. During his first two seasons at TCU, Avila played over 1,000 snaps at center but in 2022, he moved to left guard, logging 1,000-plus snaps there. With last year’s starting center gone, Avila will likely move to center for the Rams in 2024, which is fine considering his experience. Otherwise, the Rams return four starters from last year, continuing to implement their gap run scheme with Williams and rookie Blake Corum. The Rams ranked fifth in adjusted line yards last year (4.55) and when this offense was fully healthy, we were looking at an elite unit. The Good Pittsburgh Steelers Give the Steelers credit. Over the past two seasons, they have made huge strides in improving the offensive line. It started last year when they drafted Broderick Jones and signed veteran Isaac Seumalo, who were both immediately impact players. Jones showed serious flashes as a top-tier run-blocking lineman, though he was a bit up-and-down in pass protection. Pittsburgh continued to address the line this offseason, drafting left tackle Troy Fautanu in the first round, followed by center Zach Frazier in the second. Fautanu is insanely athletic and has experience playing all five positions on the offensive line. One of Pittsburgh’s most pressing needs was at center so the addition of Frazier is welcomed. In three collegiate seasons, Frazier allowed a total of four sacks and nine quarterback hits. Starting two rookies might be a concern but the Steelers have a strong surrounding cast. Don’t be surprised if this unit climbs towards elite territory in 2024. Green Bay Packers Jordan Love’s breakout draws most of the attention behind Green Bay’s stellar season, but this offensive line deserves credit, too. In 2023, the Packers allowed the third-fewest sacks (30), while Love was under pressure on just 30.2% of his dropbacks, the third-lowest rate among qualified signal callers. The versatility within this unit is impressive and it all starts with Elgton Jenkins and Zach Tom, who can play anywhere. Jenkins received a top-10 pass-blocking PFF grade for all offensive linemen last year allowing zero sacks and just six quarterback hits. After moving on from long-time left tackle David Bakhtiari, Green Bay spent a first-round selection on Arizona’s Jordan Morgan, who could start Week 1. I love the versatility and depth of this unit, which means things won’t fall apart when injuries inevitably happen. The Bad Miami Dolphins This offseason was tough for the Dolphins, as they were forced to move on from both Robert Hunt and Connor Williams. That leaves the interior of this offensive line extremely vulnerable and Miami will have to rely on Terron Armstead to stay healthy, but that simply hasn’t been the case. Armstead missed seven games last year and has now missed almost 20 games over the last three seasons. The pressure stats won’t ever tell the entire story because Tua Tagovailoa gets the ball out faster than anyone in the league, averaging 2.24 seconds to throw last year. And perhaps the scheme can mask the offensive line concerns. But unless Armstead can stay healthy, this will be one of the weaker units in the NFL in 2024. Washington Commanders This past season,
