Week 2 DFS: Wide Receiver Report

The first week of the NFL season delivered an interesting mix of wide receiver production at the top end. Our Week 2 DFS: Wide Receiver Report recaps who hit value and how we can use that data to make profitable lineup choices in Week 2.

Tyreek Hill (11/215/2 on 15 targets) was an absolute beast, while Brandon Aiyuk (8/129/2) and Jakobi Meyers (9/81/2) had excellent games. Three wideouts (Kendrick Bourne – 6/64/2, Puka Nacua – 10/119, and Rashid Shaheed – 5/89/1) finished in the top 10 in wide receiver scoring, all of which were probably found in the free agent pool in some leagues in Week 2. Justin Jefferson (9/150) did his job, and Calvin Ridley (8/101/1) rewarded his believers with a great start to the season.

Just like in 2022 (9/122/1), Michael Pittman (8/97/1) kicked in the wide receiver door in Week 1 despite freefalling in drafts in early September due to the passing concerns for Anthony Richardson. Ten other wideouts scored between 15.00 and 19.90 fantasy points in PPR formats.

Top Tier Options

Stefon Diggs, BUF (DK – $8,000/FD – $8,000)

The threat of Sauce Gardner (he allowed four catches for 59 yards on five targets per PFF) slowing down Diggs in Week 1 ended up being a false theory. Buffalo found creative ways to get him the ball, leading to 10 catches for 102 yards and one score on 13 targets. The Bills’ secondary receiving options struggled to make big plays (19/134 – 7.1 yards per catch). Over his 50 games with the Bills, Diggs has 497 targets (9.9 per game). In his 10 home games in 2022, he gained more than 100 yards in six starts (12/148/3, 8/102/1, 12/128, 7/104/1, and 7/114).

The Raiders were about the league-average vs. wide receivers (208/2,660/13 on 314 targets in 2022), with three offenses (DEN – 13/203/2, SEA – 17/206/1, and KC – 16/221) gaining more than 200 yards from their wideouts. Their top three cornerbacks in Week 1 gave up nine catches for 101 yards on 11 targets. Both the Broncos’ passing touchdowns came against their safeties.

Diggs is the chain-mover for Buffalo, and he should be active again in Week 2. To reach 30.00 fantasy points, the Bills need to get him at least one score and find him on at least one long pass to reach the 100-yard bonus at DraftKings. His salary looks more favorable at FanDuel.

Ja’Marr Chase, CIN (DK – $7,900/FD – $8,400)

Based on Joe Burrow’s struggles in Week 1 (14-for-31 with 82 passing yards) and his lack of success vs. the Ravens in 2022 (233/2, 225/1, and 214/2), the daily market should fade Chase and his star quarterback in Week 2. On the positive side, Baltimore will most likely be without their top cornerback (Marlon Humphrey), and their starting safety (Marcus Williams) has already been ruled out.

Last year, Chase was active in all three games (7/50, 9/84/1, and 9/84/1) vs. the Ravens with 37 targets, but he failed to hit on any long plays. When at his best in 2022, he gained over 100 yards in four matchups (10/129/1, 7/132/2, 8/130/2, and 10/119/1), three of which came at home.

Baltimore finished 22nd defending wide receivers (227/2,875/12 on 353 targets) last season. Their secondary had some problems vs…

Week 1 is in the books and it’s that time of week to start pinpointing the best prop bets to exploit heading into Sunday’s slate of Week 2 action. Remember to always odds shop at your different sportsbooks to find the best value for these props. With that in mind, let’s get down to business and find FullTime Fantasy‘s best Week 2 NFL Player Props!

Justin Herbert OVER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-160)

Last Sunday, despite putting up 34 points, Herbert only managed to throw a single touchdown pass in the Chargers’ high-scoring loss to the Miami Dolphins. However, that was largely due to the fact that Miami struggled to contain the run as Austin Ekeler and Joshua Kelley combined for over 200 yards on the ground.

This week, the Chargers will employ a much different game plan against a Tennessee Titans defense that ranked first in rushing yards and yards per carry but ranked last in the NFL in passing yards allowed. That trend appears to be continuing in 2023 as the Titans didn’t do much to stop Derek Carr and the New Orleans Saints’ passing attack in Week 1. Jamaal Williams only tallied 45 rushing yards but Carr threw the ball for 300+ yards.

With all of his weapons healthy in Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Quentin Johnston, Gerald Everett, and perhaps the best pass-catching running back in the NFL outside of Christian McCaffrey in Ekeler, expect Herbert to let it fly in Week 2 after a disappointing loss in the season opener. Herbert will find a way to get the ball in the end zone at least twice…

Fantasy Football Sleepers: Week 2

brock purdy

Fantasy Football Sleepers: Week 2 After reinforcing your roster via the waiver wire and knowing who to start and sit, the next best way to increase your odds at a Week 2 victory is to know which players to target. Our Fantasy Football Sleepers: Week 2 is here to do just that. Plus, we’ve added some daily pricing info to appeal to also appeal to the DFS crowd. All Prices listed are at DraftKings for Week 2.   Quarterbacks   Baker Mayfield (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) $5200 Mayfield won over his teammates in Week 1 with his ability to read defenses and recognize signals. The Bears’ defense played uninspired in their home opener and I don’t see a defensive revival in Tampa. The loyal Bucs fans will be behind Mayfield and he’s always fueled by emotions. Brock Purdy (San Francisco 49ers) $5700 Many drafters ignored Purdy and he had an impressive Week 1 performance. The 49ers will push the ball more downfield this year and WR Brandon Aiyuk is coming into his own. I like the fast play at Sofi in this matchup and expect plenty of points.    Running Backs   Joshua Kelley (Los Angeles Charger) $5000 Austin Ekeler isn’t playing on Sunday. That means Joshua Kelley will get plenty of opportunities after an impressive showing in Week 1. Kelly has always had the talent and new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore will utilize his strengths. Also, this game has a ton of shootout potential. Kelley offers a very high floor for his cost.  Isiah Pacheco (Kansas City Chiefs) $5700 I anticipate a high-scoring game in Jacksonville and could see Pacheco with a ton of touches. Pacheco just missed a rushing TD in Week 1 and I believe he will make up for that this week facing a vulnerable Jacksonville Jaguars defense. I’m buying Pacheco while his stock is low.   Wide Receivers   Trey Palmer (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) $3700 This is a gut feel call but I envision Palmer making an impact in the home opener for the Bucs. There were whispers during camp that Baker Mayfield was vibing with Palmer. The Chicago secondary was getting torched against the Packers. I expect that trend to continue in Week 2. Zay Jones (Jacksonville Jaguars) $4700 Zay Jones had an excellent camp and was oftentimes Trevor Lawrence’s most favorable target in the red zone. Jones is familiar with the playbook and Jacksonville’s play calling does an excellent job of integrating Jones into the mix as the third wideout. Also, Jones’s 62 Week 1 snaps were five more than Calvin Ridley played.    Tight Ends   Logan Thomas (Washington Commanders) $3100 Thomas has always been an impactful fantasy TE when healthy and that was evident against the Cardinals when Thomas led the Commanders with eight targets. With Denver’s impressive pass rush, Thomas may get many looks in what should be a gritty matchup versus the Broncos. Thomas’s 81.7% snap rate from Week 1 indicated he’ll be more involved in Week 2. Zach Ertz (Arizona Cardinals) $3500 With Josh Dobbs behind center and new to the system. Ertz serves as a nice safety valve in the matchup vs. the Giants. Ertz Week one 20.8% target rate was number one amongst all tight ends last week.   Lastly, If you have time to prepare, make sure you mock in our Mock Draft World Championships. Week 2 DFS: Tight End Report

The tight end position came up empty for too many fantasy teams in Week 1, highlighted by two star players (Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews) taking the week off. In addition, George Kittle (4.90 fantasy points) and Dallas Goedert (no catches) weren’t worthy of starting in any format. T.J. Hockenson (11.50 fantasy points) was the third-highest scoring option in PPR formats.

Six of the top 10 scoring tight ends were either undrafted or resided on fantasy benches.

  • Hunter Henry (5/56/1)
  • Hayden Hurst (5/41/1)
  • Donald Parham (3/21/1)
  • Blake Bell (2/12/1)
  • Harrison Bryant (2/5/1)
  • Adam Trautman (5/34)

Zach Ertz led all tight ends in targets (10) despite being questionable to play in Week 1. Logan Thomas (8), Durham Smythe (7), and Kylen Granson (6) ranked in the top 10 in targets despite being found in the free-agent pool in almost all 12-team league heading into Week 2. Here’s the total tight end production from Washington, Miami, and Indianapolis in 2022:

  • Commanders – 60/518/2 on 98 targets
  • Dolphins – 47/491/6 on 75 targets
  • Colts – 75/803/6 on 108 targets

Indy had the best overall tight end opportunity of the three last year while throwing the ball over 600 times. The change at quarterback points to a minimum of 100 fewer throws. Also,  the Colts rotated in three options in Week 1. Here is the snap breakdown for their tight ends in 2022: Mo Alie-Cox (586), Kylen Granson (408), and Jelani Woods (334).

Last season, only five tight ends averaged more than 10.00 fantasy points per game in PPR formats (7 in 2021 and 6 in 2020).

Here’s a look at some tight ends on the main slate in Week 2 in the DFS market:

Also, check out FullTime Fantasy‘s  Week 2 DFS QB Report and Week 2 DFS RB Report.

Top Tier Options

Mark Andrews, BAL (DK – $6,300/FD – $8,000)

In the early projections, Andrews is the top-rated tight end for Week 2. But he is far from a lock to be a difference-maker after turning in a limited practice on Wednesday. Last year, he scored more than 20.00 fantasy points in four of his 14 matchups (25.70, 28.90, 22.90, and 23.60), but they all came over the first six weeks. Andrews also sat out Week 1 in 2022 but delivered an impact game (9/107/1) the following game vs. the Dolphins at home. He had two starts (8/89/1 and 5/73) against Cincinnati last season.

The Bengals (88/924/3) struggled to defend the tight end four times (7/115,10/96/1, 10/87, and 8/67/1) in 2022. The Browns’ tight ends had five catches for 41 yards and one score on six targets in Week 1.

Andrews comes into this week with risk in his role and potential snaps. At the same time, his higher salary requires 25.00 fantasy points to be worth the investment. If he plays, I don’t expect him to be a popular option, creating an edge ownership if he does pay off. I’m only taking a flier on him on teams with Lamar Jackson.

George Kittle, SF (DK – $5,300/FD – $6,200)

Kittle had a dull showing in Week 1 (3/19 on six targets) while being in the field for 69% of the 49ers plays. When at his best late in 2022, San Fran gave him 90% or more of their tight end snaps in 11 of his 18 games. His best success came over four games (4/93/2, 6/120/2, 4/23/1, and 4/29/2) late last season with Brock Purdy behind center. Kittle had five catches or more in only four matchups (5/47, 8/83, 6/98/1, and 6/120/2) with only one double-digit target game (10).

The Rams finished 13th in…

Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 2

Anthony Richardson

Injuries and disappointing starts have already torpedoed some teams. After beefing up your roster with the right waiver wire adds, knowing which players to start and who to bench is crucial. Let’s get that important victory in the second week with our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 2. QUARTERBACKS    Start ‘Em Anthony Richardson (Indianapolis Colts) Richardson secured the fourth-highest fantasy points during Week 1. He successfully connected on 24 of his 37 throws, accumulating 223 yards, one passing touchdown, and one interception. However, his performance as a passer didn’t earn him a high grade, lacking any significant throws, and his average target depth of 5.3 yards ranked seventh-lowest among all quarterbacks. Nonetheless, he demonstrated his ability to amass passing yards through short passes. Additionally, Richardson carried the ball 10 times, ranking second in rushing attempts among quarterbacks. Also, he gained 40 yards while reaching the end zone. This included six planned rushes for 24 yards. Notably, both he and Jalen Hurts were the sole quarterbacks to execute more than two designed runs, each resulting in over 10 rushing yards. This comes as no surprise, given that Richardson’s current head coach previously served as Hurts’ offensive coordinator. In the upcoming week, he will face off against the Houston Texans, a matchup that can certainly be exploited. Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins) Tagovailoa emerged as the highest-scoring fantasy quarterback in Week 1. He completed 28 out of 45 throws, accumulating 466 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Impressively, he received the top quarterback grade (92.1) for Week 1 according to PFF. Tagovailoa was a top-10 fantasy quarterback in the previous season, boasting a strong average in fantasy points per game. As long as he stays healthy, he remains a must-start quarterback, regardless of the opponent. In Week 2, the Dolphins are set to face the New England Patriots. The Patriots ranked in the lower half of the league in terms of conceding fantasy points to quarterbacks last season, particularly struggling in allowing passing touchdowns, ranking among the bottom five. Sit ‘Em Russell Wilson (Denver Broncos) Russell Wilson’s first game with Sean Payton didn’t go as planned. He threw for just 177 yards, salvaging the day with two touchdowns. Wilson was without top WR Jerry Jeudy, but he just looks washed up. While there’s hope for their continued development, facing the Washington Commanders’ defense presents a challenging task. It’s advisable to steer clear of Wilson this week.   Running Backs   Start ‘Em Jamaal Williams (New Orleans Saints) Williams failed to impress on the stat sheet against a formidable Titans run defense last week. However, his usage was noteworthy, with a 75% snap rate, a 62% route rate, 18 carries, and 2 targets. Williams appears to be a solid bet for another 20+ opportunities in Week 2, especially with the Saints favored by 3 points against the Panthers. Carolina recently allowed 177 total yards and three touchdowns to Atlanta’s running backs. Expect Williams to rebound from a sluggish start and compete for RB2 numbers on Sunday. James Cook (Buffalo Bills) Cook narrowly missed the top 24 fantasy running backs in Week 1, carrying the ball 12 times for 46 yards and catching four passes for 17 yards. Cook saw an increased role, playing a career-high 41 offensive snaps. In Week 2, the Bills will face the Las Vegas Raiders, who allowed the third-highest fantasy points to running backs last season. Despite the Raiders’ strong defensive showing last week, they still allowed 93 rushing yards on 21 attempts to opposing running backs. With the Bills expected to be heavy favorites, this sets up a favorable matchup for Coo and if the game does stay close Cook can score in the passing game. Sit ‘Em Cam Akers (Los Angeles Rams) Cam Akers had a disappointing performance, playing only 35% of the snaps and managing a mere 29 yards despite 22 carries, plus a garbage time TD. He didn’t see any targets, and Kyren Williams played a larger role, with 65% of the snaps, 15 carries, two targets, and two goal-line touchdowns. Also, the Rams face the 49ers, who have been stingy against running backs. That makes Akers a very risky choice in this tough matchup.   Wide Receivers   Start ‘Em Jahan Dotson (Washington Commanders) Dotson’s performance in the opener was underwhelming, as he caught five passes for 40 yards without scoring. However, he was targeted 7 times, accounting for a solid 22.6% share. While WR Terry McLaurin is likely to draw coverage from Broncos stud CB Patrick Surtain, Dotson will primarily face CB Damarri Mathis, who struggled last week, allowing eight catches, 95 yards, and two touchdowns in coverage. This is a blow-up spot for the second-year wideout. Zay Flowers (Baltimore Ravens) Flowers had an outstanding Week 1. His average target depth of 2.6 yards was the shallowest among wide receivers with five or more targets. He also excelled with 34 yards after contact and avoided four tackles, both marking the best in his position for the season. Baltimore’s utilization of Flowers suggests he has the potential for significant performances against any defense. In Week 2, the Ravens are underdogs against the Cincinnati Bengals and will likely need to pass frequently. A healthy Mark Andrews might lead to increased passing opportunities in what could be a high-scoring game. Sit ‘Em Drake London (Atlanta Falcons) It’s challenging to make a case for starting London this week, even though the Falcons may need him more in their passing game. London ran only 20 routes in Week 1 and dropped his sole target. He wasn’t a frequent first read for Desmond Ridder, who attempted just 18 passes. Also, the Falcons have a tendency to avoid throwing the ball, so it’s advisable to keep London on the bench and consider trading him. There just wasn’t much to like about Atlanta’s passing game in Week 1. Tight Ends Start ‘Em Sam LaPorta (Detroit Lions) LaPorta didn’t post massive fantasy points in his debut, but his usage was promising.

Week 2 DFS: Running Back Report

Christian McCaffrey

After the first week of the NFL season, seven running backs scored more than 20.00 fantasy points in PPR formats. There were 21 other backs that finished between 10.00 and 17.50 fantasy points. This Week 2 DFS: Running Back Report

After the first week of the NFL season, seven running backs scored more than 20.00 fantasy points in PPR formats. There were 21 other backs that finished between 10.00 and 17.50 fantasy points. This Week 2 DFS: Running Back Report will help identify winning plays to target in Week 2.

The Chargers (40/234/3) had the most success running the ball, followed by Cleveland (40/206/1), San Francisco (34/188/1), and the Jets (28/172/1). The 16 games resulted in 22 scores on the ground, with four offenses hitting pay dirt three times (LAR, LAC, BAL, and DAL). The Vikings had the worst rushing offense (17/41), while Pittsburgh (10/41) and Las Vegas (29/61) ranked 31st and 30th.j

Also, check out FullTime Fantasy‘s  Week 2 DFS: Quarterback Report.

Top Tier Options

Christian McCaffrey, SF (DK – $8,900/FD – $9,500)

It took McCaffrey one game (169 combined yards with one touchdown and three catches on 25 touches) to show his edge at the running back position. He hit on a 65-yard score to set up his great day. The 49ers had him in the field for 85% of their snaps. That was a total he only hit three times in 2022 with San Francisco. Last year, McCaffrey averaged 20.98 FPPG in PPR formats, with his one impact game (183 combined yards with two touchdowns and eight catches) coming on the road against the Rams.

Los Angeles was league-average defending running backs in 2022 (404/1,753/12 with 79 catches for 665 yards and two scores on 103 targets). Three offenses posted more than 40.00 fantasy points from their backs.

McCaffrey is a high-floor player. But his high salary requires well over 30.00 fantasy points to be in play in Week 2. Ultimately, any decision to play him comes from finding value at other positions…

Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

In a game like football, that embraces speed and hits, injuries are inevitable. It’s unfortunate, but the hope is that no player suffers any debilitating ailment. FullTime’s Fantasy Football Injury Rundown goes over all the injuries from this past week’s action and breaks down their potential impact moving forward. Also, a great starting point for staying updated on the latest injuries is to bookmark our NFL Injury Report. Finally, FullTime Fantasy Members will get the latest NFL injury news and advice live each Sunday and Thursday in the FullTime Fantasy Discord. Click below to join us today! Now, let’s break down all the latest fantasy-relevant injury news in this week’s  Fantasy Football Injury Rundown. Also, we will continually update this list as more news is confirmed. Fantasy Football Injury Rundown: Week 2 Aaron Rodgers (QB) New York Jets – Potentially the most impactful injury occurred after only four plays on Monday. Rodgers was sacked and initially stood up. However, he sat back down on the turf and eventually was carted to the locker room. X-rays were negative. However, the fantasy world is embracing itself for a lengthy absence due to fears of an Achilles injury, which would end his season. Head coach Robert Saleh said the prognosis “is not good” for Rodgers. UPDATE: An MRI confirmed that Rodgers suffered a ruptured Achilles and will miss the rest of 2023. J.K. Dobbins (RB) Baltimore Ravens – The biggest blow from Sunday came when Baltimore’s starting running back was once again felled by a season-ending injury. This time, Dobbins tore his Achilles in the third quarter. Dobbins missed the entire 2021 season and half of the 2022 campaign recovering from a knee injury. Achilles ruptures are notoriously difficult to recover from, putting Dobbins’ dynasty value in peril. Obviously, he’ll miss the rest of 2023 and can be released in redraft leagues. Justice Hill is the priority waiver wire add. However, Gus Edwards and Melvin Gordon will also be involved. Diontae Johnson (WR) Pittsburgh Steelers – Pittsburgh’s star wideout was unable to get up after hurting his hamstring on a 26-yard catch-and-run. Subsequently, Johnson was immediately ruled out. That’s worrisome. Expect him to miss multiple weeks. That’s a huge loss for an offense that really sputtered in Week 1. Calvin Austin would be the next man up for the Steelers. UPDATE: Johnson will miss “a few weeks.” Anthony Richardson (QB) Indianapolis Colts – Richardson missed Indy’s final drive of their opening loss with an ankle injury. However, Shane Steichen told reporters Monday that the injury wasn’t serious and Richardson was held out as a precaution. Assuming he’s clear, Richardson will be a QB1 against Houston in Week 2. Mark Andrews (TE) Baltimore Ravens – Andrews was ruled out for Week 1 with a quad injury. He practiced during the week and it’s possible the Ravens just held Andrews out as a precaution in a game where they were double-digit home favorites. We should know more in the days ahead. Travis Kelce (TE) Kansas City Chiefs – A hyperextended knee kept Kelce out of Thursday’s game. Considering the decision to hold Kelce out went right up until game time, there is optimism that he’ll be good to go this week. We will keep a close eye on practice reports throughout the week. Jerry Jeudy (WR) Denver Broncos – Hamstrings were particularly troublesome for some wide receivers late in the preseason. That ailment kept Jeudy out of Denver’s Week 1 loss to Las Vegas. However, Jeudy wasn’t ruled out until late on Sunday. That is a reason for some optimism for Week 2. Greg Dulcich (TE) Denver Broncos – Dulcich will miss “multiple weeks” with yet another hamstring injury. Adam Trautman is the next man up for Denver. Christian Watson (WR) Green Bay Packers – Yet another hamstring injury kept Watson out last Sunday. Fortunately, the Packers did need his services to dispatch the Bears. The early diagnosis is Watson will be cleared to face Atlanta. We’ll monitor the recovery process this week and update the Discord channel. Aaron Jones (RB) Green Bay Packers – While we’re on the topic of hamstrings, Jones injured his housing his second touchdown of the game. First, it didn’t seem too serious as he was able to keep jogging. Secondly, the initial diagnosis is optimistic. However, hamstrings can be tricky. Especially for running backs. Jakobi Meyers (WR) Las Vegas Raiders – Meyers had a huge debut in Las Vegas but was forced from the game after taking a brutal helmet-to-helmet shot. He’s entered the league’s concussion protocol and won’t be able to practice until he is fully cleared. Pat Freiermuth (TE) Pittsburgh Steelers – Muth was limited to 32 snaps while dealing with a chest injury. The good news is that he was able to finish the game. It doesn’t seem like anything serious. Evan Hull (RB) Indianapolis Colts – The rookie rusher will miss multiple weeks with a knee injury. Also, Deon Jackson was predictably awful, making Zach Moss a priority waiver target in a tasty Week 2 matchup against the Texans. D.J. Chark (WR) Carolina Panthers – A hamstring injury kept Chark out of Carolina’s season-opening loss. The club is hopeful Chark will be able to suit up against the Saints. Graham Gano (PK) New York Giants – Gano hurt his calf during New York’s Week 1 humiliation. Gano missed both of his field goal attempts before going down. Considering how poorly the Giants played on Sunday night, there is no reason to roster Gano in fantasy leagues right now. Kenneth Gainwell (RB) Philadelphia Eagles – Gainwell is dealing with a rib injury. It isn’t considered serious, but the Eagles do play on Thursday, giving him little time to heal. D’Andre Swift should see more than two touches regardless. The 2023 NFL season is underway but it’s not too late to get access to the best help out there! Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 2

puka nacua los angeles rams

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 2 We’re only one week into the 2023 season and there is already plenty of turmoil. It isn’t time to hit the panic button quite yet. However, using FullTime‘s Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 2

We’re only one week into the 2023 season and there is already plenty of turmoil. It isn’t time to hit the panic button quite yet. However, using FullTimes Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 2 to beef up your roster is always a good idea.

Scoring was down across the league in Week 1. There were also plenty of injuries to account for. While blowing your entire FAAB budget after one week is inadvisable, it’s always advisable to be proactive.

Here are the top fantasy football waiver wire: Week 2 players to target—also, a recommended FAAB value to spend.

FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget

Kenneth Gainwell (RB) Philadelphia Eagles (25% FAAB) – Rashaad Penny was a healthy scratch. D’Andre Swift only logged two touches. For now, this is Kenny Gainwell’s backfield. We saw that play out in preseason and that’s how the regular season opened. However, Gainwell is rostered in about half of the fantasy leagues. Where he’s available, view Gainwell as the top waive priority this week as an RB2 in an elite offense.

Puka Nacua (WR) Los Angeles Rams (20% FAAB) – Cooper who? Fifth-round rookie wideout Puka Nacua drew a lot of hype this summer. And that came to fruition in Week 1. Nacua caught 10-of-15 targets for 119 yards in the Rams’ upset win. Nacua did a phenomenal Cooper Kupp impression, making plays all over the field. Subsequently, he warrants an aggressive FFAB bid as a weekly WR2/3 moving forward. Tutu Atwell (4% FAAB) matched Nacua with 119 receiving yards. However, the Rams are highly unlikely to repeat that kind of volume consistently.

Justice Hill (RB) Baltimore Ravens (20% FAAB) – And just like that, J.K. Dobbins is done for the season. Hill was already projected to be more involved in Baltimore’s new offense. But, those two goal-line touchdown runs were a nice surprise. I expect the Ravens to employ a committee with Hill and Gus Edwards moving forward.
