Now, let’s break down all the latest fantasy-relevant injury news in this week’s Fantasy Football Injury Report: Week 6. We will continually update this list. Week 6 Byes: Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers Justin Jefferson (WR) Minnesota Vikings – The most devastating blow to come out of a terrible injury slate was the news that consensus 1.01 Justin Jefferson would be placed on IR with a hamstring injury. This is a devastating blow for the 1-4 Vikings as well as millions of fantasy rosters. Jefferson will miss a minimum of four games. The earliest JJ could return would be Week 10 versus New Orleans. However, Minnesota’s season appears to be a lost one. The Vikings don’t have a bye until Week 13. If Jefferson doesn’t progress through rehab, there may not be a ton of motivation to rush him back. K.J. Osborn should inherit Jefferson’s ‘X’ role, making him a top waiver wire priority. The #Vikings plan to place WR Justin Jefferson on injured reserve because of the hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday’s loss to Kansas City, per sources. The exact timeline is TBD based on how he responds to treatment. But Jefferson is out at least four games. pic.twitter.com/hBAYZHZqlV — Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) October 10, 2023 De’Von Achane (RB) Miami Dolphins – Second in the NFL in rushing and third in fantasy scoring, rookie De’Von Achane will miss multiple weeks with a knee injury. At the time, the injury didn’t appear serious. However, the club has indicated Achane is a candidate for IR, which would keep him out a minimum of four games. Jeffery Wilson, who was just activated, is the best replacement target for Achane managers. UPDATE: Achane is on IR. Justin Jefferson to IR and De’Von Achane might be right behind him Worst Tuesday morning EVER — Ian Hartitz (@Ihartitz) October 10, 2023 Anthony Richardson (QB) Indianapolis Colts – A Grade 3 sprained AC joint will keep Richardson sidelined for a month. The rookie signal-caller banged his shoulder on the turf as he was tackled from behind. Richardson immediately motioned to his right (throwing) shoulder. Richardson previously missed half of Week 2 and all of Week 3 with a concussion. Gardner Minshew will start in his place for at least the next three games. James Conner (RB) Arizona Cardinals – Another season, another lengthy absence for stand-out RB James Conner. Conner injured his knee on a long run and will miss multiple weeks. Expect the Cardinals to employ a committee backfield. Emari Demercado is the best bet to target on the waiver wire. As for Conner, volume dictates that he is a strong hold or ‘buy low’ candidate. Update: Arizona placed Conner on IR. Subsequently, you can boost your Demercado bids. The #Cardinals are placing RB James Conner (knee) on injured reserve, per source. He’s out at least four games. pic.twitter.com/bsYY73JUkq — Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) October 10, 2023 Travis Kelce (TE) Kansas City Chiefs – The Chiefs are due to play Thursday, which gives Travis Kelce little time to heal his ankle. Kelce originally went down with no contact. However, he returned to the game and caught a touchdown. That quelled Achilles’ concerns. However, there have been no updates on the status of the ankle injury. However, Kelce practiced on Tuesday. That’s a good sign. Jahmyr Gibbs (RB) Detroit Lions – Gibbs was a surprise add to the injury list. He hurt his hamstring late last week and missed Detroit’s victory. And, Gibbs could miss 1-2 more weeks. Tee Higgins (WR) Cincinnati Bengals – A rib injury kept Higgins out last week. We will know more about his Week 6 availability as the week progresses. Javonte Williams (RB) Denver Broncos – Williams sat out Week 5 and was a limited participant in Monday’s practice. He was a game-time call last week. However, he was close to playing. Williams is set to return in Week 6. We’ll have more in Discord as the week progresses. Khalil Herbert (RB) Chicago Bears – First, the Bears lost Roschon Johnson to a concussion. Second, Khalil Herbert was felled by a high-ankle sprain. Herbert is expected to miss 2-4 weeks. However, Johnson must clear the league’s concussion protocol before he can practice. Finally, D’Onta Foreman should be added on waivers. Foreman hasn’t played since Week 1. However, he may be the only healthy back Chicago can play against Minnesota. Tank Dell (WR) Houston Texans – A concussion forced Dell to miss the second half of Houston’s last-second loss in Atlanta. Subsequently, Dell will have to clear the NFL’s concussion protocol before he can return to action. John Metchie would see an increased role if Dell misses Sunday’s home tilt with New Orleans. Deshaun Watson (QB) Cleveland Browns – The Browns list Watson as day-to-day with a shoulder injury. Watson was a surprise scratch last week. If Watson misses Week 6, P.J. Walker will start on Sunday. However, it might be wise to simply avoid whoever is under center against the 49ers. Dalton Kincaid (TE) Buffalo Bills – Kincaid is in the NFL’s concussion protocol. The Bills had an awful trip abroad, losing to the Jaguars and getting decimated by costly injuries. Furthermore, the Bills don’t play until Sunday Night Football, which complicates Kincaid’s fantasy availability. Aaron Jones (RB) Green Bay Packers – Jones sat out Monday’s loss with a bothersome hamstring. This came
Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 6

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 6 It’s hard to believe we are already preparing for Week 6. Some big names went down with injuries on Sunday. That will make FullTime‘s Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 6 more crucial than ever. FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget Week 6 Byes: Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers K.J. Osborn (WR) Minnesota Vikings (15% FAAB) – Justin Jefferson exited Week 5 with a hamstring injury. The fantasy community is well aware of the myriad problems with hamstring ailments. If Jefferson missed time, Osborn would immediately be Minnesota’s No. 2 wideout. The Vikings currently rank second in the NFL in passing yards. Osborn has been a solid complimentary piece multiple times and would offer WR2/3 upside if thrust into a larger role for an extended time. UPDATE: Jefferson will go on IR. That means he’ll miss a minimum of four games. Osborn now becomes a priority add worth 10-15% FAAB. Here’s The Athletic on #Vikings trying to replace Justin Jefferson (IR, hamstring). I know this sounds crazy, but replacing JJeff with KJ Osborn is unlikely to go well. It’s time to feature Jordan Addison. pic.twitter.com/zwfqLFmuPJ — Adam Levitan (@adamlevitan) October 10, 2023 Jeffery Wilson (RB) Miami Dolphins (12%) – It’s important to be proactive in fantasy football. Wilson is set to be activated from the PUP list. That means he could return to action at any time. Meanwhile, De’Von Achane exited Sunday’s win with a knee injury. The Dolphins have long utilized a committee backfield. Also, Wilson was the favorite to lead the rotation just a couple of months ago. If Achane misses time, Wilson could find himself in a valuable role with a high-octane offense. Last season, in a near 50/50 split with Raheem Mostert, Wilson was just as effective. If one of Miami’s backs misses time, Wilson could prove to be a valuable stash. UPDATE: Achane will miss a month. This sends Wilson from “sneaky proactive add” to priority add ahead of Week 6. Wilson has RB2/3 value for at least four games. #Breaking Drew Rosenhaus tells me his client, #Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson Jr., will be activated off the Injured Reserve list. His 21-Day practice window will open this week. More depth for a loaded running back room & historic offense through 5 weeks. #Finsup #NFL #nfltwitter pic.twitter.com/V8kOkAadd6 — Josh Moser (@TheMozKnowz) October 9, 2023 Jaleel McLaughlin (RB) Denver Broncos (10% FAAB) – McLaughlin was one of our top targets last week and he delivered. Javonte Williams is probably going to return in Week 6, so don’t go too crazy if McLaughlin is somehow still on the wire. However, the rookie has played very well and likely carved out a role. There was a rumor that the Broncos may be on the verge of “cleaning house,” so it’s possible McLaughlin could maintain a real role moving forward. Justice Hill (RB) Baltimore Ravens (10% FAAB) – Hill led Baltimore’s running backs in snaps (39, 58%), yards per carry, and was the only back targeted on Sunday. Also, he got the red-zone score that proved to be Baltimore’s only touchdown. Gus Edwards will stay involved. However, Hill offers the most value in the passing game. Through four contests, Hill is averaging 9.8 fantasy points per game. That is more than Dameon Pierce, Miles Sanders, and Jahmyr Gibbs. D’Onta Foreman (RB) Chicago Bears (8% FAAB) – Foreman has been absent since Week 2. However, that is about to change. Khalil Herbert will miss multiple weeks with a knee injury. Also, Roschon Johnson (15% FAAB) is in the NFL’s concussion protocol. Foreman’s Week 6 outcomes range from RB1b in a committee to having an entire backfield to himself if Johnson isn’t cleared. Foreman is a priority add. However, don’t break the bank. Remember that this staff has made Foreman a healthy scratch in four consecutive games. And if Johnson is cleared, he is the best bet to lead this backfield. Curtis Samuel (WR) Washington Commanders (8% FAAB) – Samuel has scored 18-plus points in back-to-back weeks. In fact, he’s topped double-digit points in three of Washington’s five games. His lowest PPR output was 6.2 points, so Samuel has been a consistent source of production. Samuel enters Week 6 as a top-35 fantasy wideout but is still available in a large number of fantasy leagues. With some rough bye weeks coming up in the next month, Samuel is worth a decent FAAB bid as a proactive addition to a fantasy receiving corps. Emari Demercado (RB) Arizona Cardinals (10% FAAB) – Arizona’s backfield is banged up. Keaontay Ingram (7% FAAB) missed Week 5 and James Conner (knee) exited after 12 snaps. Demarcado was the Cardinals’ only healthy back and turned a 77% snap rate into 12.7 fantasy points. If we learn Conner will miss time, Demercado would become a top-3 priority add ahead of Arizona’s Week 6 trip to Los Angeles to face the Rams. Demercado is most likely a short-term solution. However, he is available in over 98% of fantasy leagues. Arizona also claimed Tony Jones (5% FAAB) off waivers. UPDATE: James Conner will miss at least four games. I’ve bumped up the proposed FAAB bids for all three Arizona backs. The most likely outcome is a frustrating committee, so proceed with caution. Josh Downs (WR) Indianapolis Colts (6% FAAB) – Quietly, Downs has racked up 33 targets and 23 receptions for the Colts. He has recorded multiple receptions in each of Indy’s five contests. Also, Downs flashed some solid chemistry with QB Gardner Minshew. With Minshew under center for the next month, the Colts will rely more on the passing game. Downs is a top-45 fantasy wideout entering Week 6 and needs to be rostered in all leagues. Logan Thomas (TE) Washington Commanders (6% FAAB) – In PPR scoring, Thomas is the TE7 in points per game. However, he is still widely available on the waiver wire. On Thursday, Thomas had a 79% snap share and led Washington with a 23% target share. He’s also found the end zone in

In a game like football, that embraces speed and hits, injuries are inevitable. It’s unfortunate, but the hope is that no player suffers any debilitating ailment. Now, let’s break down all the latest fantasy-relevant injury news in this week’s Fantasy Football Injury Rundown. We will continually update this list. Week 5 BYES: Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Chargers, Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fantasy Football Injury Rundown: Week 5 Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR) Detroit Lions – The Lions should have no problem with Carolina on Sunday. However, they’ll have to win without their top wideout. Amon-Ra St. Brown was downgraded to DOUBTFUL on Friday with an abdominal injury. Josh Reynolds (groin) is also questionable. Also, RB Jahmyr Gibbs was added to the injury report and listed as questionable with a hamstring injury. Any late-week injuries are always a concern. Particularly hamstring ailments. Could be a game to target Marvin Jones or even Jameson Williams. However, the real benefactor will be T.J. Hockenson. UPDATE: Gibbs has been downgraded to doubtful. I have removed him from the Week 5 projections. The #Lions are listing WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. Carolina pic.twitter.com/CXccav8yOL — Ari Meirov (@MySportsUpdate) October 6, 2023 Mike Evans (WR) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Evans exited Week 4’s victory with a hamstring strain. He will undergo an MRI but the early diagnosis is it was a mild strain. With the Bucs having a Week 5 bye, the hope is that Evans won’t miss any time. Tee Higgins (WR) Cincinnati Bengals – Higgins fractured a rib in Cincinnati’s Week 4 loss to the Titans. A typical rib fracture can take 3-4 weeks to heal. However, Higgins indicated that he plans to play through the pain. With the Bengals looking at a Week 7 bye, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Higgins out until Week 8 in what is increasingly looking like a lost season. Of course, Higgins is set to hit the open market and could be motivated to push for an earlier return. UPDATE: Higgins has been ruled OUT this week. That puts Tyler Boyd in as a replacement. Cooper Kupp (WR) Los Angeles Rams – Kupp (hamstring) will practice this week. The Rams want Kupp to be close to 100%. However, there are doubts that he is there yet. We will know more by the end of the week. Consider him questionable. UPDATE: Kupp will play. Fire him up. Justin Herbert (QB) Los Angeles Chargers – Herbert fractured a finger and suffered a nail injury to his left (non-throwing) hand. Herbert re-entered the game with a splint and later had a glove on his left hand. The Chargers are off this week, which gives Herbert an extra week to heal. However, he shouldn’t miss any time. Javonte Williams (RB) Denver Broncos – Williams could miss a week or two with a hip flexor injury. Jaleel McLaughlin looked good in relief. Also, the club has Samaje Perine. Williams isn’t expected to miss more than a week, at most. UPDATE: Williams has practiced. However, Jaleel McLaughlin is expected to see an increased role. Williams is a risky start in a tough matchup. Kenny Pickett (QB) Pittsburgh Steelers – Pickett hurt his left knee in Houston and was unable to finish the game. It was diagnosed as a bone bruise. A report out of Pittsburgh indicated that Picket plans to practice on Wednesday, which is a good sign for his Week 5 availability. UPDATE: Pickett is good to go. Pat Freiermuth (TE) Pittsburgh Steelers – The Steelers will also be without one of Pickett’s top targets for multiple weeks. Friermuth suffered a hamstring injury in Houston and is expected to miss multiple weeks. Connor Heyward will see an increased role in Friermuth’s absence. Also, second-round rookie Darnell Washington played 43% of snaps in Week 4. However, Washington is employed as an in-line blocker and has one target all season. Donald Parham (TE) Los Angeles Chargers – The Chargers are off in Week 5. That gives Parham extra time to heal his wrist. X-rays were negative, so Parham’s availability will have to be re-evaluated before the Chargers host the Cowboys. Saquon Barkley (RB) New York Giants – Barkley missed his second consecutive game Monday. There was optimism that he would suit up. But he was unable to face Seattle. We will update Barkley’s Week 5 availability in Discord. Jimmy Garoppolo (QB) Las Vegas Raiders – Garoppolo couldn’t clear the NFL’s concussion protocol for Week 4. However, he should do so this week. That would put Garoppolo in line to start on Monday. UPDATE: Garoppolo cleared the league’s protocol and will start Week 5. Elijah Mitchell (RB) San Francisco 49ers – Mitchell (knee) is OUT. Jordan Mason will serve as San Fran’s RB2. Josh Whyle (TE) Tennesse Titans – Whyle suffered an ankle injury in Week 4. However, Whyle won’t miss any time. Matthew Judon (LB) New England Patriots – A torn bicep will keep Judon sidelined for 2-3 months. New England also lost first-round CB Christian Gonzalez. The Patriots are already struggling to score points and now could have trouble stopping their opponents. Now, let’s break down all the latest fantasy-relevant injury news in this week’s Fantasy Football Injury Rundown. We will continually update this list. Fantasy Football Injury Rundown: Week 4 Mike Williams (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – The biggest injury to emerge from Week 3 was word that Williams tore his ACL. His 2023 campaign is over. This will mean a larger role for Joshua Palmer and Quentin Johnston. Also, Keenan Allen is the best bet to lead the league in targets. David Montgomery (RB) Detroit Lions – Good news out of Detroit. RB David Montgomery is trending toward being active on Thursday. Missing only one game would be great news for Montgomery. However, it would take some touches away from Jahmyr Gibbs. Dan Campbell said he’s feeling better about LT Taylor Decker and RB David Montgomery being able to play Thursday in Green Bay. — Tim Twentyman (@ttwentyman) September 26, 2023 Saquon Barkley (RB) New York Giants – Barkley practiced in a limited capacity Tuesday. It was announced last week that he was suffering from a high-ankle sprain. That’s concerning news. However, Barkley is a fast healer. Also, the Giants have an additional day since their Week 4 game is on Monday. Of course, this isn’t great news from a fantasy perspective as a late-game scratch would leave fantasy managers with no recourse. Unless it’s announced for certain, plan on finding another alternative to Barkley for at least one more week. Deebo Samuel (WR) San Francisco 49ers – Samuel is dealing with a rib injury. However, X-rays were negative. We should know more about his Week 4 status in the coming days and will update accordingly. For now, there isn’t a lot of concern. Christian Watson (WR) Green Bay Packers – A hamstring injury has kept Watson out of Green Bay’s first three games. However, things are looking good for Week 4. The Packers plan on Thursday. And the early talk is that Watson will make his 2023 debut. Also, we will know well in advance if Watson will be active. I’ll have an update in the FullTime Fantasy Discord before kickoff. Patrick Mahomes (QB) Kansas City Chiefs – Superstar QB Pat Mahomes had his right ankle rolled up. Mahomes had a noticeable limp. However, he was able to finish the game without issue. We view this as a non-factor. Jaylen Waddle (WR) Miami Dolphins – Waddle missed Miami’s historic Week 3 win with a head injury. Waddle has not been cleared but the team remains optimistic that he will return before Sunday’s game in Buffalo. Aaron Jones (RB) Green Bay Packers – Green Bay is also expected to have Aaron Jones back in the lineup after a one-week absence. Jones tweaked his hamstring in Week 2 but was close to playing Sunday. Anthony Richardson (QB) Indianapolis Colts – Richardson remains in the league’s concussion protocol. Shane Steichen announced Richardson will resume the starting job once he is cleared. The Colts host the LA Rams on Sunday. Tee Higgins (WR) Cincinnati Bengals – Higgins had a rough night that culminated in him exiting in the third quarter with cramps. However, the injury isn’t a concern. He’ll look to get back on track this week against Tennessee’s 28th-ranked secondary. Derek Carr (QB) New Orleans Saints – Carr is week to week with a sprained AC joint. Expect Jameis Winston to start Week 4 against his former team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jimmy Garoppolo (QB) Las Vegas Raiders – Garoppolo entered the NFL’s concussion protocol following Las Vegas’ Week 3 loss. Boston Scott (RB) Philadephia Eagles – Philly’s No. 3 back missed Monday with a concussion. Scott will have to progress through the league’s protocol before he can return to action. Irv Smith (TE) Cincinnati Bengals – Smith missed Week 3 via the dreaded hamstring injury. We will have more updates in Discord as Week 4 progresses. River Cracraft (WR) Miami Dolphins – A shoulder injury will sideline Cracraft for multiple weeks. Quez Watkins (WR) Philadelphia Eagles – Watkins missed Week 3 with a hamstring injury. Olamide Zaccheaus filled in as WR3. Neither Philadelphia ancillary wideout is on the fantasy radar. Tylan Wallace (WR) Baltimore Ravens – The Ravens placed Wallace (hamstring) on IR. The earliest he can return is Week 8. The 2023 NFL season is underway but it’s not too late to get access to the best help out there! Now, let’s break down all the latest fantasy-relevant injury news in this week’s Fantasy Football Injury Rundown. Also, we will continually update this list as more news is confirmed. Fantasy Football Injury Rundown: Week 3 Nick Chubb (RB) Cleveland Browns – Unfortunately, Chubb’s 2023 season is over after a devastating left knee injury. Chubb previously came back from a catastrophic injury to the same knee at Georgia. However, it is too early to tell if that will have any impact on the recovery of Monday’s injury. Jerome Ford becomes the top waiver wire priority for Week 3. Also, there are some rumblings of a reunion with Kareem Hunt. Browns’ HC Kevin Stefanski told reporters that he expects RB Nick Chubb to be out for the season with a significant knee injury. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) September 19, 2023 Saquon Barkley (RB) New York Giants – A sprained ankle is expected to sideline Barkley for 2-3 weeks. Even though he is reportedly doing better than expected in his recovery, there is no chance Barkley will play on short rest in Week 3. The positive here is Barkley avoided a high-ankle sprain and that he’s trending positively. Matt Breida would log starts for any games Barkley misses. Austin Ekeler (RB) Los Angeles Chargers – What was quite an under-the-radar ankle injury last week looks much more concerning heading into Week 3. In comments to the media after LA’s second-consecutive loss, Brandon Staley said there is no timetable for when Ekeler could be back in the Chargers’ lineup. This is obviously a big blow for fantasy managers and the Chargers, who have a pivotal game against the winless Vikings this week. Joshua Kelley dominated snaps in Week 2 and should continue to act as the club’s main back as long as Ekeler is absent. Joe Burrow (QB) Cincinnati Bengals – It could be a while before we see a fully healthy Joe Burrow. Cincinnati’s QB is still dealing with that calf injury. Zac Taylor indicated that Burrow is questionable to play in Week 3. With the Bengals scheduled for Monday, fantasy managers should consider all other options. Anthony Richardson (QB) Indianapolis Colts – Richardson’s second game was off to a promising start before he self-reported concussion symptoms and left the game in the second quarter. The first-round rookie is in the league’s concussion protocol. It could be difficult for him to be cleared in time to suit up in Baltimore. As of now, it’s looking like Gardner Minshew is likely to draw the Week 3 start. We will keep the FullTime Fantasy Discord channel appraised. David Montgomery (RB) Detroit Lions – A quad injury will keep Montgomery out for a game or two. This may, or may not mean a bigger role for Jahmyr Gibbs. After Montgomery exited on Sunday, Craig Reynolds began seeing snaps immediately. Also, the club promoted Zonoan Knight from the practice squad on Tuesday. Fortunatley, the injury isn’t particularly concerning, so it may only cost Montgomery 1-2 games. Brandon Aiyuk (WR) San Francisco 49ers – A CT scan revealed that Aiyuk’s clavicle is intact. This is good news. Aiyuk’s availability on Thursday will come down to pain tolerance. We will have an update in Discord once there is some clarity. Jamaal Williams (RB) New Orleans Saints – Williams hurt his hamstring in the second quarter and was unable to return to action. Williams has been inefficient but got a lot of opportunities in his game and a half. If he misses Week 3, Tony Jones would likely draw the start, with Kendre Miller likely to make his debut. Also, this is the final week that the Saints won’t have Alvin Kamara, who is due to return in Week 4. Williams’s potential to be an RB2/3 is on very shaky ground. Brandin Cooks (WR) Dallas Cowboys – After sitting out Week 2 with a sprained MCL, Cooks is trending toward a Week 3 return per Jerry Jones. This would actually be a surprise as MCL injuries generally take 2-3 to fully recover from. We would advise proceeding with caution this week in regards to starting Cooks. Diontae Johnson (WR) Pittsburgh Steelers – Johnson was placed on Injured Reserve by the Steelers. The earliest he will return is Week 7. Pittsburgh’s offense has looked stagnant. But Johnson is too good of a player to cut bait. Fantasy managers with IR slots have no choice but to play the waiting game. Chris Evans (RB) Cincinnati Bengals – Evans missed Week 2 with a hamstring injury. Trayveon Williams earned a 22% snap share with Evans sidelined.
