Rookie Scouting Profile: WR Velus Jones

Velus Jones Jr. (WR) Tennessee Height Weight 40-Time DOB NFL Draft Dynasty ADP NFL Comp 6-0 203 4.31 05/11/1997 Day 3 3rd-4th Marquise Goodwin College Production After transferring to Tennessee, Jones was a dangerous deep threat and excelled in special teams as a returner. While his skill set may not earn him high grades by NFL teams, his Combine performance certainly did. His ridiculous 40 time combined with his built-in ability to contribute on special teams even if he struggles as a wideout earned him a Day 2 slot Strengths • Elite speed and acceleration • Punt and Kick returns • Can find the holes in a zone defense • Explosive and agile • More physical as a wideout and blocker than most speed guys • Above-average hands • Tracks deep balls well Weaknesses • Limited route tree • Will be 25 when the season starts • Not overly productive throughout college career • Limited experience outside of the slot • Questionable football I.Q. • Adds little to an offense outside of gadget plays and a straight-line deep threat Fantasy Outlook Jones has the potential to be one of if not the best return man in the league. If your league awards points for return yards then he is an intriguing process. Otherwise, he is an extreme boom or bust prospect. It’s extremely unlikely he develops into anything more than a big-play home run hitter. He will see bombs, screens, and end-arounds. He landed in Chicago which isn’t the best-case scenario but could be worse. At the very least the fact that they used Day 2 draft capital on him increases his likelihood of getting a legitimate shot on offense Post-Draft Recap Because of his rather advanced age, Jones might actually have more redraft than dynasty value in 2022. He’s less than one month younger than D.J. Moore, who is entering his fifth NFL season. While the door is wide open for Jones to emerge from a very thin Chicago receiving corps with a substantial role, he’s not a player we expect to see move up much in dynasty formats. Keep an eye on his usage this summer before making Jones a speculative redraft target in the final rounds. 2022 NFL Mock Draft Final by Mark Morales-Smith

2022 NFL Mock Draft Final by Mark Morales-Smith Following up on my previous mock draft, there have been a ton of updates and rumors as the 2022 NFL Draft draws closer. The 2022 NFL Draft has been one of the most difficult ever to handicap and analyze, but I’m feeling pretty good about this updated and final version. We’ll see how it all plays out soon enough. Mark Morales-Smith – Fulltime Fantasy PICK TEAM PLAYER 1 JAGUARS Travon Walker Georgia 2 LIONS Aidan Hutchinson Michigan 3 TEXANS Ahmad Gardner Cincinnati 4 JETS Kayvon Thibodeaux Oregon 5 GIANTS Evan Neal Alabama 6 PANTHERS Malik Willis Liberty 7 GIANTS Derek Stingley LSU 8 FALCONS Kenny Pickett Pittsburgh 9 SEAHAWKS Ikem Ekwonu North Carolina St 10 JETS Trent McDuffie Washington 11 COMMANDERS Jameson Williams Alabama 12 VIKINGS Kyle Hamilton Notre Dame 13 TEXANS Charles Cross Mississippi St 14 RAVENS Drake London USC 15 EAGLES Jermaine Johnson Florida St 16 SAINTS Garrett Wilson Ohio St 17 CHARGERS Jordan Davis Georgia 18 EAGLES Andrew Booth Clemson 19 SAINTS Trevor Penning Northern Iowa 20 STEELERS Desmond Ridder Cincinnati 21 PATRIOTS Nakobe Dean Georgia 22 PACKERS Chris Olave Ohio St 23 CARDINALS Breece Hall Iowa St 24 COWBOYS Treylon Burks Arkansas 25 BILLS David Ojabo Michigan 26 TITANS Roger McCreary Auburn 27 BUCCANEERS Tyler Linderbaum Iowa 28 PACKERS George Karlaftis Purdue 29 CHIEFS Jahan Dotson Penn St 30 CHIEFS Daxton Hill Michigan 31 BENGALS Kaiir Elam Florida 32 LIONS Matt Corral Mississippi 1. Jacksonville Jaguars – Travon Walker (DE) – Walker is now the betting favorite to go first overall to the Jags. I don’t like the pick. Then again, I don’t like much of anything they’ve done since drafting Jalen Ramsey. 2. Detroit Lions – Aiden Hutchinson (DE) –This is a steal for the Lions. He should have been the first edge rusher off the board. 3. Houston Texans – Ahmad Gardner (CB) – The Texans need everything, and Sauce is the best player in this draft. They need to go the best available and they do here. 4. New York Jets – Kayvon Thibodeaux (EDGE) – With Gardner off the board to the Texans, Thibodeaux is the no-brainer choice here. They could go offensive line, but I doubt it after how much they’ve invested into the line in recent years. 5. New York Giants – Evan Neal (OT) – The Giants offensive line has been a disaster for seemingly forever at this point. They’ll take another swing at it here. 6. Carolina Panthers – Malik Willis (QB) – The Panthers desperately need a quarterback and go after the one with the most upside. 7. New York Giants (from Chicago Bears) – Derek Stingley (CB) – With a great Pro Day and positive news regarding his health, Stingley is on the rise and should land in the top 10 by draft day. I have the Giants snagging him at pick seven. 8. Atlanta Falcons – Kenny Pickett (QB) – The Falcons need a lot of help and here they address the most important position with the best quarterback in this year’s draft. 9. Seattle Seahawks (from Denver Broncos) –Ickey Ekwonu (OT)– Seattle is now in full rebuild mode. The offensive line has been putting Russell Wilson in danger for years and they need to protect whoever their future QB may be. Ekwonu is a versatile lineman who can be moved around the line with franchise LT potential. 10. New York Jets (from Seattle Seahawks) – Trent McDuffie (CB) – After missing out on Sauce Gardner with their first pick, the Jets grab McDuffie here to help in coverage. 11. Washington Commanders – Jameson Williams (WR) – I’ve gone back and forth where I think Williams will go. At the end of the day, his speed is too great not to land him as the top wideout off the board. 12. Minnesota Vikings – Kyle Hamilton (S) – If Hamilton wasn’t a safety he’d be a top-five pick. The Vikings just can’t let a player this good slip any further. 13. Houston Texans (from Cleveland Browns) –– Charles Cross (OT) – The Texans need to rebuild their entire team from the ground up. They seem to want to give Davis Mills a chance and giving him a line is the only fair way to start that process. Cross could even take over for Laremy Tunsil if the Texans move on from him. 14. Baltimore Ravens – Drake London (WR) – The Ravens add a big body to line up opposite the speedy Hollywood Brown. Both to complement Brown and give a big outside target to an inaccurate quarterback. 15. Philadelphia Eagles (from Miami Dolphins) – Jermaine Johnson II (EDGE) – The Eagles will be thrilled if an edge rusher of this caliber falls to them at pick 15. 16. New Orleans Saints (from Indianapolis Colts through Philadelphia Eagles) – Garrett Wilson (WR) – The Saints have been in desperate need of a WR to pair with Michael Thomas for years now and with Thomas’s health still very much in question Wilson falling this far is a dream pick. 17. Los Angeles Chargers – Jordan Davis (DT) – Davis is better than the 17th player in this draft and after slipping by a few teams he lands in the Chargers’ laps. 18. Philadelphia Eagles (from New Orleans Saints) – Andrew Booth Jr. (CB) – Booth is being severely undervalued by many analysts and I don’t see how he isn’t a first-round pick and even 18th may be too low. The Eagles snag him here. 19. New Orleans Saints (from Philadelphia Eagles) – Trevor Penning (OT) – After losing Terron Armstead to the Miami Dolphins, the Saints draft who they hope is his long-term replacement. 20. Pittsburgh Steelers – Desmond Ridder (QB) – The Steelers have one glaring need and Ridder could be the answer. It wouldn’t be a shock if he ended up being the best QB in this draft. 21. New England Patriots – Nakobe

2022 NFL Mock Draft Final by Jody Smith

2022 NFL Mock Draft Final by Jody Smith We’re now just hours away from the coveted highlight of the annual NFL “off” season, the 2022 NFL Draft. Every year the draft just seems to get bigger and the impacts on fantasy football more impactful. The 2022 season is no different. One thing that is unique to this draft is that it is easily the most difficult to project in recent memory. There is no sure-fire elite prospect and there is no real consensus among the many analysts, insiders, and mock drafters. This is truly an issue of playing an informed guessing game. With that, there will be many changes and updates as the rumor mill is updated. After posting my original mock, there have been many changes. Even after the FullTime Fantasy Podcast live mock draft, things are wildly different. Here is my updated 2022 NFL Mock Draft final edition. Jody Smith – FullTime Fantasy PICK TEAM PLAYER 1 JAGUARS Travon Walker Georgia 2 LIONS Aidan Hutchinson Michigan 3 TEXANS Derek Stingley LSU 4 JETS Ikem Ekwonu North Carolina St 5 GIANTS Charles Cross Mississippi St 6 PANTHERS Evan Neal Alabama 7 GIANTS Ahmad Gardner Cincinnati 8 FALCONS Garrett Wilson Ohio St 9 SEAHAWKS Kayvon Thibodeaux Oregon 10 JETS Jermaine Johnson Florida St 11 COMMANDERS Drake London USC 12 VIKINGS Kyle Hamilton Notre Dame 13 TEXANS Quay Walker Georgia 14 RAVENS Jordan Davis Georgia 15 EAGLES Jameson Williams Alabama 16 SAINTS Chris Olave Ohio St 17 CHARGERS Trevor Penning Northern Iowa 18 EAGLES Trent McDuffie Washington 19 SAINTS Tyler Smith Tulsa 20 STEELERS Malik Willis Liberty 21 PATRIOTS Devin Lloyd Utah 22 PACKERS Treylon Burks Arkansas 23 CARDINALS George Karlaftis Purdue 24 COWBOYS Zion Johnson Boston College 25 BILLS Kaiir Elam Florida 26 TITANS Kenyon Green Texas AM 27 BUCCANEERS Lewis Cine Georgia 28 PACKERS Arnold Ebiketie Penn St 29 CHIEFS Boye Mafe Minnesota 30 CHIEFS Jahan Dotson Penn St 31 BENGALS Andrew Booth Clemson 32 LIONS Devonte Wyatt Georgia JOIN OUR MAILING LIST! 2022 NFL Draft Risers and Fallers

2022 NFL Draft Risers and Fallers Between the Senior Bowl and the NFL Draft, players see their stocks rise and fall for various reasons on their way to being drafted. These are some of the guys who have seen the biggest swings in recent weeks. For more on the 2022 NFL Draft, check out Jody Smith’s mock draft, my latest mock, and the FullTime Fantasy football industry mock. Risers Derek Stingley (CB) – Not too long-ago Stingley was a lock to be an easy Top 10 pick and probably higher. Then he didn’t perform at quite as high a level in 2020 and missed most of 2021 with a Lisfranc injury. Then he also missed the combine while rehabbing and saw his stock drop. However, after an outstanding Pro Day and positive reports across the board as of late, his stock is back on the rise and he will likely still be drafted as a Top 10 pick. Malik Willis (QB) – We have seen Willis go from a potential high-upside project who hasn’t played against top competition to the likely first quarterback off the board since the Senior Bowl. He displayed his athleticism at the Senior Bowl and every workout since, and scouts and analysts have fallen in love with him. Now, he’s expected to be drafted ahead of every other quarterback in the class and some believe more than 10 spots higher. Rachaad White (RB) – The Top 3 running backs heading into the offseason were Breece Hall, Kenneth Walker III, and Isaiah Spiller. There wasn’t a ton of debate about that. After them, the most popular names were James Cook and Damion Pierce. After an impressive Combine analysts started reevaluating White’s film and statistics. We began to hear, “Spiller is still my RB3 but…” Which has now evolved into, “White has jumped up to my RB3 in this draft.” Treylon Burks (WR) – Burks has worked his way into the Top 10 pick conversation this spring after a rough combine. He ran a 4.55 forty which was slower than expected and many bumped him down their draft boards. However, it seems most are back on board after remembering just how physical and talented he is. The 40-yard dash causes big changes after the combine, but usually cooler heads prevail, and we remember it’s far more important to be good at football than to run fast in a straight line in shorts. Or you end up drafting Denzel Perriman or Darrius Heyward-Bey in the first round. Either or. Travon Walker (EDGE) – After displaying otherworldly athleticism at the combine, Walker shot up draft boards. You can make an argument he wasn’t a Top 3 player on his college defense before that. Now he’s the betting favorite to go first overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday. There’s no doubt he’s seen the greatest rise this spring of any player looking to join the NFL on April 28. Fallers George Karlaftis (EDGE) – Some considered him the top edge rusher in the draft heading into a combine. After a poor showing at the combine, he has fallen down draft boards. Many had who had him as a single-digit pick now have him going much later in the first. He looked stiff and didn’t show great bend in combine drills and opted not to participate in speed drills which were his biggest question mark. Isaiah Spiller (RB) – Spiller was locked in at the RB3 heading into the offseason, but that may not be the case anymore. He battled an abductor injury at the combine and other backs have climbed up draft boards. This isn’t to say he can’t still be a Top 3 back off the board, nevertheless, heading into the combine he was more likely to go No. 2 than No. 4. That’s no longer the case. Jamison Williams (WR) – Williams was at one point a lock to be the WR1 in this draft. Unfortunately, he suffered a torn ACL in the National Championship Game which puts his early-season availability in question. He will still be a high pick, and someone could even reach for him. However, others believe with the unbelievable speed we saw at the combine, teams may not be as inclined to reach for him because there is plenty of speed at the position. Although I will say, of everyone in this article, he’s the most likely to make me look like an idiot and fly off the board early. Sam Howell (QB) – Howell stinks and everyone knows it. However, in a bad draft class, he was still near the top of the list at his position heading into the offseason. Then we saw the ascension of Willis and Desmond Ridder. Even Carson Strong has made some noise this spring. Heading into the season Howell was a potential first-overall pick. Heading into the offseason he was a potential first-round pick. Heading into the draft he’s a potential Day 2 pick. Justyn Ross (WR) – Ross is polarizing, to say the least. He has plenty of raw talent and showed it off during his first two seasons at Clemson. Then he had a serious spinal injury that required surgery. He followed that with a lackluster 2021. We knew we would see a wide range of opinions of him because of course he wasn’t as good in 2021 coming off that injury, but that injury is very real and scary for an NFL team investing in him. Nevertheless, all the athleticism we saw at the combine from receivers likely tanked any chance of him being a high draft pick. Now he needs to hope he doesn’t fall past Day 2. JOIN OUR MAILING LIST! 1st Round 2022 NFL Mock Draft: Industry Version

Ready for a 2022 NFL Mock Draft? The main thing about trying to get a consensus on the many 2022 NFL mock drafts out there is there is no consensus. Anyone who labors to put together a mock tries to think for 32 different teams but there can be wildly different opinions of draft needs and strategies. After posting my first 2022 NFL Mock Draft of the season and an update from Mark, I reached out to some of the biggest names and sites and accumulated all the picks to see what other analysts were thinking. After gathering all the info, the results did not disappoint and were quite contrary to my mock draft 1.0. Thanks to all the other analysts who participated and contributed to this mock. Be sure to support their work and show appreciation for this updated 2022 NFL mock draft industry version. 1. Jacksonville Jaguars (Matt Schauf @ DraftSharks) Aiden Hutchinson (DE) Going with the odds-on favorite. You could argue that Travon Walker and/or Kayvon Thibodeaux carry more upside, but Hutchinson doesn’t lack there: 63rd-percentile speed score and 1.2 tackles for loss per game last year. 2. Detroit Lions (BidDaddyDrisk @ FootballAbsurdity) Kayvon Thibodeaux (DE) The Lions need a true difference-maker on the edge, and Kayvon Thibodeaux is that player. Athletic, bendy, and productive, the Oregon product fits perfectly into Aaron Glenn’s defense. 3. Houston Texans (Jody Smith- FullTime Fantasy) Travon Walker (DE) The Texans have needs at every position and can address tackle at 13. In Walker, Houston grabs an ascending talent in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft who blew away scouts and the Combine. Walker is an impact pass rusher and presence that will give the franchise the kind of defensive player they’ve lacked since J.J. Watt left town. 4. New York Jets (Nick Mimikos– StackAttackFantasy) Jermaine Johnson (DE) New York ideally wanted Thibodeaux here and lose out. Sauce Gardner would be the pick if trade-ups were an option but here the Jets take Johnson who they look to pair with Carl Lawson. 5. New York Giants (Jay Felicio– FrontYardFantasy) Evan Neal (OT) It was hard to choose between Ickey Ekwonu and Neal, but the versatility of Neal being able to start at multiple positions along the OL made the difference for me. Neal is ready to be a starter from day 1. Big, physical, and quick for his size, Neal is a great start to rebuilding an offensive line that has been in need of it for a very long time. 6. Carolina Panthers (Amr Gabr– Rotoviz) Charles Cross (OT) Ideally, the Panthers would love to trade back here with no second or third-round pick and lots of holes on the team. But for this exercise, I’m going with Charles Cross, even though Ickey is the better prospect, Cross can play tackle from the get-go. Shore up your offensive line. 7. New York Giants (Jay Felicio– FrontYardFantasy) Ahmad Gardner (CB) As tempting as it was to double-dip OL and go Ekwonu, Gardner is the easy pick here. A perfect fit for new DC Wink Martindale’s defense, Gardner replaces the most-likely cap casualty, James Bradberry. 8. Atlanta Falcons (Tim Talmadge 4for4) Kyle Hamilton (S) The Falcons have a ton of needs and the popular pick for them has been WR. However, this regime has preached going best player available and the best player here is Hamilton. 9. Seattle Seahawks (Cody Carpenter– PlayerProfiler) Malik Wilis (QB) No trade needed, the Seahawks stay at pick no.9 and get what they hope to be the heir apparent to Russell Wilson. Arguably the worst quarterback class since 2013, and at the top of the pedestal is Malik Willis. 10. New York Jets (Nick Mimikos- StackAttackFantasy) Garrett Wilson (WR) If the draft were to fall this way in reality, Joe Douglas would be taking Ikem Ekonwu here. He’s been aggressive for a WR1 and takes his WR here. This is the positional pick Jets fans want to see at 10. 11. Washington Commanders (Matthew Freeman– FantasyPros) Ikem Ekwonu (OT) The Commanders don’t have a massive need at tackle, but Ekwonu can start at guard right away and then eventually move to the outside. He simply represents too much value to pass on outside the top 10. 12. Minnesota Vikings (Kevin Tompkins– FantasyAlarm) Derek Stingley Jr. (CB) Stingley is the pick for the cornerback-needy Vikings, who will get Patrick Peterson – a former LSU alum – as a mentor. Stingley has injury concerns (missed 13 games in the past two seasons) but has the speed, ball skills, and is battle-tested against SEC. 13. Houston Texans (Jody Smith- FullTimeFantasy) Trevor Penning (OT) Expectations are that the Texans want to rebuild from the trenches. Although they just missed out on a crucial need at cornerback, here they nab a solid offensive tackle in Trevor Penning. If Nick Caserio is able to insert instant impact starters in two key positions, it will be a good start for the Texans. 14. Baltimore Ravens (Jase Abbey– IDPGuys) Trent McDuffie (CB) The Ravens were decimated at CB with injuries last year and couldn’t stop the pass. Peters is in the final year of his contract, and a quality third corner is a requirement, not a luxury, in today’s pass-centric league. What McDuffie lacks in size, he makes up for in aggressiveness. He is an excellent cover cornerback, one of the best players remaining, and he fills a need. 15. Philadelphia Eagles (Brandon Hamer– GridironExperts) Drake London (WR) How do you help a Quarterback who struggles with accuracy issues? You get him a massive 6’5 220 receiver who thrives on contested catches and compares his game to Mike Evans. Pairing him with the Slim Reaper and Dallas Goedert gives Jalen Hurts a dynamic trio to work with in 2022. What’s not to like about that? 16. New Orleans Saints (@RenshawFantasy– DynastyDads Pod) Chris Olave (WR) The Saints moved up to grab…Olave?! Olave is the best receiver on some boards and it’s no secret the Saints want to add some
