Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

Cooper Kupp

Here are the key fantasy-relevant injury situations we’ll be monitoring with the fantasy football injury rundown. Both for this week’s action and moving forward. Also, be sure to check out our Week 11 waiver wire and FAAB recommendations. Also, be sure to join us in the FullTime Fantasy Discord Channel for injury updates throughout the week. Cooper Kupp (WR) Los Angeles Rams – Easily one of the most impactful injuries of a brutal season, Kupp will miss 4-6 weeks with a high-ankle sprain. The ankle will require surgery and could end Kupp’s season altogether. With the Rams virtually out of playoff contention, there will be little reason to bring Kupp back in a lost season. Zach Ertz (TE) Arizona Cardinals – Ertz was carted off the field on Sunday and will miss the remainder of the 2022 season with a knee injury. Trey McBride will take over as the starter. Dallas Goedert (TE) Philadelphia Eagles – A shoulder injury will keep Goedert sidelined for multiple weeks. Week 10 proved to be a devastating blow for the tight end position. A spot that is already dangerously thin. Jack Stoll, who plays 34% of snaps but has just 7 targets, is the next man up. Keenan Allen (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – Allen (hamstring) could return to practice this week. The veteran wideout originally hurt his hamstring in Week 1 and tried to return in Week 7. Even if he suits up in Week 11, Allen will likely be on a limited snap count. We recommend a wait-and-see approach before inserting Allen back into fantasy lineups. Mike Williams (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – The Chargers could also get Williams back to face Kansas City. Williams has been out since suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 7. If Williams is active, he is a safer bet in lineups than Allen. Khalil Herbert (RB) Chicago Bears – A hip injury will keep Herbert out for at least four games. The Bears placed Herbert on short-term IR Tuesday. This should result in more work for David Montgomery. Trestan Ebner will also mix in as the RB2 behind Montgomery. Jerry Jeudy (WR) Denver Broncos – Any time a player is carted off (see: Zac Ertz) the prognosis isn’t good. However, Jeudy is day-to-day with an ankle injury. It would probably be best to leave Jeudy out of Week 11 lineups regardless of his status. There isn’t much upside in a Denver offense that is last in scoring. Gambling on a limited player in that attack is a recipe for disaster. Matthew Stafford (QB) Los Angeles Rams – Another big blow for the ailing Rams. Stafford was a surprising addition to the league’s concussion protocol last Wednesday. The veteran signal-caller was forced to sit last week. However, there is plenty of time for Stafford to be activated ahead of Week 11’s matchup with the Saints. Randall Cobb (WR) Green Bay Packers – Cobb has been absent since Week 7 with an ankle injury but is nearing a return. The aging wideout would return to slot duties and give QB Aaron Rodgers a much-needed veteran presence. P.J. Walker (QB) Carolina Panthers – An ankle injury will cause Walker to miss this week’s game. Baker Mayfield will be back under center against the Ravens and will be backed up by Sam Darnold. Walker is a drop candidate. Romeo Doubs (WR) Green Bay Packers – Doubs won’t play in Week 11 with a high-ankle sprain. Randy Bullock (PK) Tennessee Titans – Bullock injured his hip last week. He was able to play through the injury. However, Tuesday the Titans signed Josh Lambo to their practice squad. That move casts some doubts on Bullock’s Week 11 availability. Chase Young (DL) Washington Commanders – IDP enthusiasts rejoice. Young should debut this week. Plus, he gets an intriguing matchup against a horrid Texans squad. Shaquille Leonard (LB) Indianapolis Colts – Leonard will miss the rest of the 2022 campaign after being placed on season-ending IR with a back injury that required surgery.   ENTER OUR WEEK 11 DRAFT CONTEST! Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

The playoffs are right around the corner. Unfortunately, injuries seem to be mounting at the worst time. Our Fantasy Football Injury Rundown goes though all the injuries you need to be aware of. Here are the key fantasy-relevant injury situations we’ll be monitoring with the fantasy football injury rundown. Both for this week’s action and moving forward. Also, be sure to check out our Week 10 waiver wire and FAAB recommendations.   Josh Allen (QB) Buffalo Bills – Allen injured his UCL on Buffalo’s final drive but finished the game. The severity of the elbow injury is still to be determined. But it appears that Allen has avoided a full ligament tear and should be able to practice and play through the injury. After the initial hit, Allen uncorked a 70-yard throw, which is a good sign. Aaron Jones (RB) Green Bay Packers – Jones exited Week 9 with an ankle injury and did not return. Early indications are the team isn’t concerned about Jones’s Week 10 availability. However, monitoring this week’s practice participation will be a better indicator. Ezekiel Elliott (RB) Dallas Cowboys – Elliott sat out last week with a “minor” knee injury. However, Elliott wasn’t seen at practice Monday. As long as Elliott is able to practice later this week he should be back in action Sunday. We will update Elliott’s practice participation in the FullTime Discord. Damien Harris (RB) New England Patriots – Harris missed Week 9 with an illness but will have the bye to recover. He should be good to go for Week 11. Romeo Doubs (WR) Green Bay Packers – A high-ankle sprain could sideline Doubs for the rest of the fantasy season. The recovery time for this injury is typically 4-6 weeks. Green Bay is riding a 5-game losing streak and will have little incentive to rush Doubs back into action. Treylon Burks (WR) Tennessee Titans – Absent since Week 4 with a toe injury, Burks is eligible to return from IR. However, Tennesee’s 31st-rank passing attack won’t provide Burks enough opportunities to be anything more than a desperation WR4. Kenny Golladay (WR) New York Giants – On Tuesday, Golladay returned to practice. This was the first time Golladay has participated in practice since Week 4. The veteran wideout missed four games but hasn’t recorded a single reception since Week 1. Even if he plays, Golladay is well off the fantasy radar. Ryan Tannehill (QB) Tennessee Titans – Tannehill has now missed two starts with an ankle injury. However, he was pretty close to suiting up Sunday night. Considering how limited the Titans’ offense has been with Malik Willis under center, we tentatively expect Tannehill to start Week 10 versus Denver. Chuba Hubbard (RB) Carolina Panthers – Hubbard thought he could suit up last week but the Panthers erred on the side of caution. As it turns out, Carolina could have used the sophomore back in a humiliating defeat. Hubbard should return on Thursday against the Falcons. Gus Edwards (RB) Baltimore Ravens – Edwards missed Monday night’s win with a hamstring ailment. Baltimore has a bye this week so we expect Edwards to be good to go in Week 11. Jarvis Landry (WR) New Orleans Saints – Landry was able to participate in limited practice sessions ahead of Monday but was ultimately declared inactive. There’s a very good chance Landry will return this week versus Pittsburgh. Once cleared, Landry will reclaim slot duties from Tre’Quan Smith. Elijah Mitchell (RB) San Francisco 49ers – The 49ers designated Mitchell to return from Injured Reserve. Mitchell has 21 days to return to action for the first time since hurting his knee in the season opener. With Christian McCaffrey now atop the depth chart, Mitchell’s fantasy appeal is severely limited.   ENTER OUR WEEK 10 DRAFT CONTEST! How it Works: Draft your team using our On-Demand Simulator. Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

Cooper Kupp

As usual, injuries had a big impact on fantasy football lineups last week.  Our Fantasy Football Injury Rundown goes though all the fantasy-relevant injuries you need to be aware of. Here are the key fantasy-relevant injury situations we’ll be monitoring. Both for this week’s action and moving forward. Also, be sure to check out our Week 9 waiver wire and FAAB recommendations.   Cooper Kupp (WR) Los Angeles Rams – The entire fantasy community can breathe a sigh of relief. Kupp appears to have avoided serious damage to his ankle. Sean McVay called his star wideout “day-to-day,” which is very good news considering the initial look of the injury. We’ll monitor Kupp’s practice status all week and update it in Discord. Keenan Allen (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – Allen hurt his hamstring back in Week 1 and didn’t return until Week 7. He was only in on 32% of LA’s snaps in that game. What is more concerning is that Allen has the Week 8 bye to get healthy. Yet, the aging veteran was absent from practice Monday. The Chargers desperately need Allen back in the lineups with Mike Williams expected to miss a month. This will be one of the most important injuries to monitor ahead of Week 9. DK Metcalf (WR) Seattle Seahawks – In a shocker, Metcalf not only played in Week 8 but found the end zone. After reports dropped that Metcalf had hurt his patellar tendon, he was expected to miss 1-3 weeks. Instead, he recovered in days and was back on the field. At this point, Metcalf might be less than 100% but there’s no reason to think he won’t be back to face the Cardinals on Sunday. Rashod Bateman (WR) Baltimore Ravens – After re-injuring his foot, Bateman will be sidelined for multiple weeks. Devin Duvernay will now act as Baltimore’s No. 1 wideout. Bateman is not on Injured Reserve. Also, that puts fantasy managers in a bind. With that, teams struggling through early bye weeks and playoff contention may have to consider cutting Bateman. Mark Andrews (TE) Baltimore Ravens – Andrews is still dealing with a knee injury and added a shoulder ailment to his troubles last week. The team doesn’t seem overly concerned but if Andrews is limited, Isaiah Likely becomes an interesting streaming option to consider. Gus Edwards (RB) Baltimore Ravens – Yet another injured Raven. Running back Gus Edwards is dealing with a sore hamstring and has been listed as questionable. The soft-tissue injury is considered minor, but hamstring injuries are notoriously easy to reoccur. For now, we tentatively expect Edwards to suit up this week. D’Andre Swift (RB) Detroit Lions – Swift received just 15.2% of Detroit’s rushes in his first game back. The third-year back is still working his way back from ankle and shoulder ailments and will be eased back into action. However, it might take a few games for Swift to approach the kind of workload he saw in Week 1. Until then, consider Swift and Jamaal Williams solid weekly RB2s. Chuba Hubbard (RB) Carolina Panthers – Hubbard missed Week 8 with an ankle injury. This led to D’Onta Foreman‘s huge outing. Hubbard says he’ll be back in Week 9 which should result in more of a split backfield. Both Panters’ backs are flex worthy. Irv Smith (TE) Minnesota Vikings – An ankle injury will sideline Smith for the next 8-10 weeks. This, and the club’s trade for T.J. Hockenson, effectively ends Smith’s fantasy season. Nico Collins (WR) Houston Texans – Houston hosts Philadelphia on Thursday. That means that Collins (groin) has next to zero shot at playing in Week 9. Considering how bad Houston’s offense has looked, fantasy managers strapped for roster flexibility can probably just send Collins to the waiver wire.   ENTER OUR WEEK 9 DRAFT CONTEST! Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

Jets RB Breece Hall leaves on a cart in Week 7

As usual, injuries had a big impact on fantasy football lineups last week.  Our Fantasy Football Injury Rundown goes though all the fantasy-relevant injuries you need to be aware of. Here are the key fantasy-relevant injury situations we’ll be monitoring. Both for this week’s action and moving forward. Also, be sure to check out our Week 8 waiver wire and FAAB recommendations. Ezekiel Elliott (RB) Dallas Cowboys: Elliott is dealing with a hyperextended right knee that has caused swelling and bruising. He is expected to sit in Week 8. The one time Tony Pollard played without Zeke, he posted 31 fantasy points! Matt Ryan (QB) Indianapolis Colts: Ryan suffered a Grade 2 shoulder sprain. However, he was benched in favor of Sam Ehlinger and the coach made it clear it was a benching. Ehlinger brings more mobility to the position. Russell Wilson (QB) Denver Broncos: It was revealed this weekend that Russ did have a slight tear in his hamstring. This makes his timeline for a return very murky. Breece Hall (RB) New York Jets: Hall continued to look every bit the prospect he was projected to be in Week 7 until he went down with a knee injury. Unfortunately, the team has announced he tore his ACL and did some damage to his meniscus which will cost him the remainder of the season. He will hope to be ready for Week 1 next season. However, the team did trade for James Robinson (for a conditional sixth-round pick) who has been struggling recently with the Jaguars with an apparent knee injury. His presence will reduce the workload for Michael Carter who has flashed well in a lightning roll to Hall’s thunder, which leaves J-Rob as a low-end flex option. Mike Boone (RB) Denver Broncos: Boone has been sent to IR with an ankle injury. This will open up more touches for Melvin Gordon and Latavius Murray. Chuba Hubbard (RB) Carolina Panthers: Hubbard exited Sunday with an ankle injury leaving the split backfield to D’Onta Foreman. However, the team has said that he could have returned to the game if needed. D.K. Metcalf (WR) Seattle Seahawks: Metcalf went down with what looked like a serious knee injury this week and the Seahawks feared the worst. However, reports were positive and it will not require surgery. He is expected back this season but does not have a clear timeline for a return. Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR) Detroit Lions: St. Brown exited this week with a concussion and did not return. It sounds like this is a Teddy Bridgewater situation though. He was pulled by a spotter but was not diagnosed with a concussion which could be good news for his availability next week. Mike Williams (WR) Las Angeles Chargers: Williams went down with an ugly ankle injury on Sunday. Luckily, the injury wasn’t as bad as it looked, but he is still expected to miss some time with a high-ankle sprain. Allen Lazard (WR) Green Bay Packers: Lazard injured his shoulder on Sunday and was spotted with his arm in a sling following the game. Nico Collins (WR) Houston Texans: Collins was forced from this week’s game with a groin injury and did not return. It’s unclear if he will miss time, but these injuries tend to linger. Phillip Dorsett stepped up in his absence. David Njoku (TE) Cleveland Browns: Njoku suffered a high-ankle sprain and will likely be out 2-5 weeks. Harrison Bryant should see an uptick in volume this week. Daniel Bellinger (TE) New York Giants: On a freak play, Bellinger was punched in the face and broke his eye socket. It will require surgery and there is a chance his season is over. Tanner Hudson is next on the depth chart although fullback Chris Myarick may be the better add if he’s TE-eligible.   ENTER OUR WEEK 8 DRAFT CONTEST! Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

Fantasy Football Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott

Another week is in the books. Unfortunately, plenty of injuries were part of an erratic Week 6 slate. Our Fantasy Football Injury Rundown goes though all the fantasy-relevant injuries you need to be aware of. Here are the key fantasy-relevant injury situations we’ll be monitoring. Both for this week’s action and moving forward. Also, be sure to check out our Week 7 waiver wire and FAAB recommendations.   Dak Prescott (QB) Dallas Cowboys – Week 7 was always the timeline for Prescott’s return. His practice activities picked up last week and he’s expected to take starting QB reps on Wednesday. Assuming he’s back under center, Prescott will be a locked-in QB1 against a bottom-5 Detroit secondary. Marquise Brown (WR) Arizona Cardinals – The Cardinals are fortunate to be getting DeAndre Hopkins back from suspension this week. No. 1 wideout Hollywood Brown suffered a major foot injury and is expected to miss six weeks. Brown will avoid surgery but is expected to go on IR. The club also traded for Robbie Anderson, who has very little time to prepare himself for Thursday’s tilt. Keenan Allen (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – A hamstring injury has now cost Allen five games. He was trending in the right direction last week and is tentatively expected to return this Sunday versus Arizona. Carson Wentz (QB) Washington Commanders – Wentz fractured his thumb on Thursday, which helped explain the abysmal performance. Surgery was required and the veteran signal-caller will miss at least one month. Taylor Heinicke will take over as the starter for the next 4-6 weeks. Russell Wilson (QB) Denver Broncos – As if the season wasn’t disappointing enough, apparently Russell Wilson merger from Monday night’s loss with a hamstring injury. Brett Rypien, who has a career 61.2 QB rating, would be next man up is Wilson is forced to miss time. For now, consider Wilson day-to-day. Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Miami Dolphins – After missing most of three games, Tagovailoa has cleared concussion protocol and will be under center this week against Pittsburgh. Although rust could be a factor, Tagovailoa will be in a good spot facing a Steelers’ secondary ceding the seventh-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. James Conner (RB) Arizona Cardinals – Conner was unable to practice with a rib injury that kept him out last week. With Arizona playing Thursday, assume Conner will miss his second straight game. Kenny Pickett (QB) Pittsburgh Steelers – Pickett was unable to finish Week 5 and is in the league’s concussion protocol. If he is unable to clear it in time for Week 7, Mitch Trubisky would start against Miami. Michael Thomas (WR) New Orleans Saints – The Saints are really banged up right now and a short rest week won’t help. Reports indicated that Thomas’s foot was improving but it seems more likely that the club will hold him out once again. We’ll monitor his healthy and update the FullTime Fantasy Discord. Jarvis Landry (WR) New Orleans Saints – Landry is probably less likely to play on a short week with an ankle ailment that has sidelined him since Week 5. New Orleans doesn’t have a bye until Week 14. Cameron Brate (TE) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – A week after suffering a concussion, Brate had a scary next injury that turned out to be a sprain. Should Brate miss time, Cade Otton would see his snaps rise. Also, bring on the Gronk rumors. Randall Cobb (WR) Green Bay Packers – A sprained ankle will keep Cobb sidelined for 2-4 weeks. Cobb is Green Bay’s primary slot receiver. His absence will likely mean more slot reps for Allen Lazard and Romeo Doubs. But, the real benefactor here could be TE Robert Tonyan, who already boasts a 48.6% slot rate. Darrel Williams (RB) Arizona Cardinals – The Cardinals are due up Thursday, which makes it almost certain that Williams will miss another game with a knee injury. At this point, there is no real reason to keep the veteran back rostered. Matt Prater (PK) Arizona Cardinals – With a short week on deck, the Cardinals signed Rodrigo Blankenship to the practice squad. This is a very good indication that Prater (hip) will miss Week 7. Dustin Hopkins (PK) Los Angeles Chargers – Hopkins re-aggravated his quad injury on Monday. He played through the ailment but it is safe to assume the club will bring in a potential replacement this week.   ENTER OUR WEEK 7 DRAFT CONTEST!
