Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

Jalen Hurts

Congratulations on advancing to Week 16! The championship is just a week away. To advance on, our Fantasy Football Injury Rundown will help keep you up-to-date on all the fantasy-relevant injuries that will impact playoff rosters. Also, be sure to join us in the FullTime Fantasy Discord Channel for injury updates throughout the week. And, check the Week 16 waiver wire suggestions for help. Now, let’s check out the Week 16 fantasy football injury rundown. Friendly reminder: there are 11 NFL games this Saturday to plan around Jalen Hurts (QB) Philadelphia Eagles – The biggest injury to come out of Week 15 was one we didn’t even know occurred. Hurts sprained his right (throwing shoulder) last week but finished the game. He also took all of Philly’s practice snaps on Tuesday. There is some optimism that Hurts will be able to play through the injury. However, the Eagles have little to gain by rushing back the MVP candidate. That means there is a good chance Gardner Minshew will be under center Saturday. We should know more by Friday. Stay tuned and get ready for Minshew Mania. Jonathan Taylor (RB) Indianapolis Colts – Many a playoff game was lost when Taylor got hurt in the first quarter. A high-ankle sprain will end Taylor’s season, along with any shot at fantasy redemption. The Colts will finish out their lost 2022 campaign with a committee of Zack Moss and Deon Jackson. Also, Jordan Wilkins could be sprinkled in. Tyler Lockett (WR) Seattle Seahawks – Lockett had to have surgery on his injured finger and is expected to miss 1-2 weeks. This is a big blow for fantasy managers who have gotten a WR1 value out of Lockett this season. Marquise Goodwin should see a substantial increase in targets and snaps while Lockett is sidelined. Also, expect more targets for DK Metcalf in a scintillating matchup against the Chiefs. Dallas Goedert (TE) Philadelphia Eagles – The Eagles cleared Goedert to return to action this week. Godert has been out since hurting his shoulder in Week 10. This is great news for fantasy managers. Goedert will be an immediate TE1 down the stretch. Mecole Hardman (WR) Kansas City Chiefs – Another welcomed addition to fantasy lineups. Hardman has been out since suffering an abdominal injury in Week 9. Lamar Jackson (QB) Baltimore Ravens – There was growing optimism that Jackson will be able to play in Week 16 after missing two starts. However, Jackson missed Tuesday’s practice session. Also, the Ravens play Saturday which gives Jackson one less day to work with. We’ll update Jackson’s availability in the FullTime Discord channel. Courtland Sutton (WR) Denver Broncos – A hamstring injury has sidelined Sutton for two games. But, there is speculation that Sutton is trending towards playing in Week 16. QB Russell Wilson (concussion) could also return this week. Khalil Herbert (RB) Chicago Bears – The Bears opened Herbert’s 21-day window to return from short-term IR. Before he got hurt, Herbert was outplaying David Montgomery. Although his status for this week is in doubt, Herbert offers RB3/flex potential when he is back on the field. Corey Davis (WR) New York Jets – Davis (concussion) returned to practice Tuesday. The veteran wideout looked poised to return to face the Jaguars on Thursday. Mike White (QB) New York Jets – Zach Wilson will start Week 16 as White (ribs) won’t be ready to play on Thursday. Kenny Pickett (QB) Pittsburgh Steelers – After sitting out last week, Pickett (concussion) will be back under center on Saturday. The first-rounder will be back on the QB2 streaming list at home against a putrid Las Vegas secondary. Damien Harris (RB) New England Patriots – Reports indicated Harris was close to playing last week. He opened Week 16 with a limited practice session. If active, Harris would be on the RB3/4 borderline against the Bengals. Chris Olave (WR) New Orleans Saints – A hamstring injury limited Olave to just 27 (49%) snaps on Sunday. Hamstring injuries are notoriously easy to reoccur, so we’ll have to keep an eye on Olave’s practice participation all week. We may not know Olave’s status until Saturday morning. Equanimeous St. Brown (WR) Chicago Bears – St. Brown exited Week 15 with a head injury. Currently in the NFL’s concussion protocol, it will be difficult for St. Brown to suit up Saturday. Devin Duvernay (WR) Baltimore Ravens – Duvernay suffered a potentially season-ending foot injury on Tuesday. However, Duvernay has been ineffective for two months.   ENTER OUR WEEK 16 DRAFT CONTEST! Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

Kyler Murray

Week 14 will be remembered for all the wrong reasons. A number of key injuries kept many fantasy managers out of the playoffs just as they were needed the most. The FullTime Fantasy Football Injury Rundown goes over some of those key injuries. Plus, we’ll see how they impact the fantasy playoffs. Also, be sure to join us in the FullTime Fantasy Discord Channel for injury updates throughout the week. And, check the Week 15 waiver wire and FAAB suggestions for help. Now, let’s check out the Week 15 fantasy football injury rundown. Friendly reminder: there are 3 NFL games this Saturday to plan around Kyler Murray (QB) Arizona Cardinals – Monday night was a brutal game for injuries. Murray went down with a non-contact injury on Arizona’s third play. Unfortunately, we knew it was going to be bad. Sadly, Murray’s season is over with a torn ACL. Plus, with the injury occurring so late in the season, there is also a real chance Murray could open the 2023 season on the PUP list. Colt McCoy will step in for the fading Cardinals. Deebo Samuel (WR) San Francisco 49ers – Samuel was carted off the field on what appeared to be a severe leg injury. Tuesday it was reported that Samuel only suffered a sprained left ankle and potentially sprained MCL. While this is good news for Samuel’s 2023 prospects, his fantasy season is almost certainly over. Rhamondre Stevenson (RB) New England Patriots – Another victim of the Monday Massacre, Stevenson tried to return after an ankle injury but was in the locker room prior to halftime. Stevenson did not return in the second half. The initial diagnosis looks like a sprained left ankle but there has been no update (unsurprisingly) out of New England. Dameon Pierce (RB) Houston Texans – Pierce exited in the second half with a high-ankle sprain. The rookie rusher has been ruled out for Week 15. And, with the Texans having nothing to play for, there is little motivation for the club to rush Pierce back for Week 16. D.J. Moore (WR) Carolina Panthers – A week after blowing up, Moore put up a goose egg in Week 14. Of course, the star wideout also sprained his knee and is in danger of missing a week or two. The Panthers play Thursday, so there is next to no chance Moore will play in Week 15. Moore is day-to-day. Kenneth Walker (RB) Seattle Seahawks – Pete Carrol wisely held his star rookie out last week. This gives Walker a better chance of being fully healthy for the playoffs. However, with Seattle due up on Thursday, Walker should be considered very questionable. Tee Higgins (WR) Cincinnati Bengals – Higgins logged one snap in Week 14. A hamstring injury that occurred in practice ultimately kept Higgins on the sidelines. Also, the frustrating part is that there was no indication that the hamstring was going to be an issue at all. Higgins is day-to-day but this situation is hard to trust. Tyer Boyd (WR) Cincinnati Bengals – Boyd dislocated his finger and is expected to miss 1-2 weeks. Trenton Irwin will take over as Cincinnati’s slot receiver. Irwin should be considered a PPR waiver priority for the playoffs. Russell Wilson (QB) Denver Broncos – Wilson is in the NFL’s concussion protocol after slamming his head against the ground in the fourth quarter. If Wilson is forced to miss time, Brett Rypien would step in as the starter. Rypien would be a downgrade for the entire Denver offense. Jeff Wilson (RB) Miami Dolphins – Wilson left Sunday’s loss with a hip injury and was absent from practice on Tuesday. The Dolphins play on a short week so Wilson should be considered on the negative side of questionable. Kenny Pickett (QB) Pittsburgh Steelers – The Steelers lost their rookie signal caller to a first-half concussion. This is Pickett’s second concussion, so it would be no surprise to see the club exert caution. We’ll keep the Discord channel updated but for now, expect Mitchell Trubisky to get the starting nod in Carolina. DeVante Parker (WR) New England Patriots – A concussion also knocked Parker out of Monday’s brutal matchup. Parker will have to clear the protocol before he can return to action. Tyler Huntley (QB) Baltimore Ravens – Huntley also suffered a concussion early Sunday. However, Huntley returned to practice on Tuesday, which is a good sign that he should clear the league’s protocol in time to play this week. Dontrelle Hilliard (RB) Denver Broncos – Hilliard exited Week 14 with a neck injury. However, if Hilliard missed time, Hassan Haskins would take over as the change-of-pace back. Mike Boone (RB) Denver Broncos – Boone re-injured his ankle and the initial diagnosis is the dreaded high-ankle sprain. This will end Boone’s season. Marlon Mack played 32% of Denver’s snaps on Sunday and appears to be the team’s RB2 moving forward. Marcus Mariota (QB) Atlanta Falcons – The Falcons placed Mariota on IR. Desmond Ridder will take over as Atlanta’s starter.   ENTER OUR WEEK 15 DRAFT CONTEST! Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

ken walker

For many people, the fantasy football playoffs have arrived. That makes every game from here on out a must-win affair. The FullTime Fantasy Football Injury Rundown will catch you up on all the fantasy-relevant injury news you’ll need. Also, be sure to join us in the FullTime Fantasy Discord Channel for injury updates throughout the week. And, check the Week 14 waiver wire and FAAB suggestions for help. Now, let’s check out the Week 14 fantasy football injury rundown. Kenneth Walker (RB) Seattle Seahawks – The initial fear for Walker was a sprained ankle. However, Pete Carroll ruled that out. Instead, Carroll suggested Walker jammed his ankle. As of now, it is impossible to get a read on the situation. But, the good news is it seems like Walker could play in Week 14 or Week 15, at worst. We’ll keep an eye on the practice reports all week. Lamar Jackson (QB) Baltimore Ravens – Jackson is listed as “week-to-week” with a knee injury. A PCL injury, which looks like a possibility, would be a minimum of a 2-game absence. We’ll have to monitor the progress throughout the week. But for now, it seems safe that Tyler Huntley will be under center on Sunday. Update: Jackson did suffer a sprained PCL and has a 1-3 week recovery timeline. Jimmy Garoppolo (QB) San Francisco 49ers – San Francisco lost another starting quarterback for the season after Jimmy Garoppolo’s left foot was stepped on and broken. The Niners will now be down to Brock Purdy, who was the final selection of the 2022 NFL Draft. Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Miami Dolphins – Tagovailoa sprained his ankle in Week 14 but was able to play through the injury. This suggests Tagovailoa should be fine for Week 14. Joe Mixon (RB) Cincinnati Bengals – A concussion caused Mixon to miss Week 13 but he reportedly was processing well through the league’s protocol. It would be a big surprise if Mixon is unable to suit up against Cleveland’s atrocious run defense. Courtland Sutton (WR) Denver Broncos – Sutton is listed as day-to-day with a hamstring injury. However, Denver media seems to think the injury is more severe than first indicated. Plus, with the Broncos faltering and out of playoff contention, there is little reason to rush Sutton back. Treylon Burks (WR) Tennessee Titans – Another victim of a concussion, Burks was injured on his TD grab and unable to return. The first-rounder will have all week to progress through the NFL’s protocol. If he does, Burks has an intriguing matchup with Jacksonville on Sunday. Brandin Cooks (WR) Houston Texans – A calf injury kept Cooks sidelined last week. It is unknown has severe the injury is or if Cooks is simply biding his time until he can move on. However, his absence worked out well for Nico Collins per FullTime Fantasy’s Advanced Snap Report from Week 13. Hayden Hurst (TE) Cincinnati Bengals – Zac Taylor already said Hurst (calf) was doubtful for Week 14. Fantasy managers should be prepared to explore options on the Week 14 waiver wire for an already estimated tight end position. Juwan Johnson (TE) New Orleans Saints – Johnson sat out Monday night’s loss with an ankle ailment. The fourth-year pro wasn’t particularly close to playing. The Saints have a bye this week, so Johnson will get a full two weeks off to heal up for the fantasy playoffs.   ENTER OUR WEEK 14 DRAFT CONTEST! Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

Ja'Marr Chase

As far as we know, no NFL players were injured enjoying Thanksgiving dinner. Unfortunately, some got hurt on the field and will have a fantasy impact. The FullTime Fantasy Football Injury Rundown will catch you up on all the fantasy-relevant injury news you’ll need. Also, be sure to join us in the FullTime Fantasy Discord Channel for injury updates throughout the week. And, check the Week 13 waiver wire and FAAB suggestions for help. Ja’Marr Chase (WR) Cincinnati Bengals – Last week we learned that Week 13 was the expected return date for Chase. We’ll keep an eye on practice reports. However, if Chase returns, he’ll be a top-5 option playing against a Kansas City secondary that yields the seventh-most fantasy points to wideouts. Aaron Rodgers (QB) Green Bay Packers – Rodgers indicated he will play this week after getting positive news about his rib injury. As long as there are no setbacks, Rodgers will be on the QB1 cusp facing a Chicago defense that has crumbled. Josh Jacobs (RB) Las Vegas Raiders – Reports indicate that Jacobs is unlikely to practice at all this week. That makes Jacobs a rather risky proposition in Week 13 versus Seattle. However, the same calf injury cause Jacobs to be listed as questionable last week, and he touched the ball 39 times and produces 303 yards. Najee Harris (RB) Pittsburgh Steelers – Harris was forced from Monday night’s victory with an abdominal ailment. As of now, little is known about the severity or details of this injury. But, it’s certainly something that fantasy managers should be concerned about. Najee Harris OUT with an “abdomen” injury *Since 2019 average missed time for skill players with “abdomen” 1-2 games A “core” or “groin” injury could fall under that umbrella *Average missed time is 1-3 games *Median is 18 days#SteelersNation pic.twitter.com/nVxyxiStD8 — Edwin Porras, DPT (@FBInjuryDoc) November 29, 2022 Travis Etienne (RB) Jacksonville Jaguars – Fantasy managers were forced to watch JaMycal Hasty rack up 95 yards and a score after Etienne exited Week 12’s win with a foot injury. What makes it more frustrating is that allegedly Etienne was cleared to return but Doug Pederson chose to hold his star RB out. However, if Etienne is healthy, he’s back in RB1 territory this week. Justin Fields (QB) Chicago Bears – Fields was inactive last week, as expected. With Chicago’s season pretty much over and the risk of re-injury pretty severe, it makes little sense for the Bears to risk further injury to their franchise signal caller. Damien Harris (RB) New England Patriots – Harris (thigh) is expected to miss Week 13. New England hosts Buffalo on Thursday Night Football. The absence of Harris assures Rhamondre Stevenson will be a top-10 option this week. Darnell Mooney (WR) Chicago Bears – An ankle injury will sideline Mooney for the rest of the 2022 season. Redraft fantasy managers can safely cut Mooney. However, dynasty managers can be encouraged by the last month of results. J.K. Dobbins (RB) Baltimore Ravens – The Ravens designated Dobbins to return from I.R. This opens up a three-week window for Dobbins to return to action. However, it seems likely that Dobbins could play as early as this week. This further complicates a Baltimore offense that has been tough to handicap in 2022. Michael Carter (RB) New York Jets – A low-ankle sprain forced Carter to miss most of Week 12. Carter is listed as questionable ahead of Week 13. However, we consider Carter far more likely to miss at least one game than be rushed back early. Zonovan Knight, James Robinson, and Ty Johnson are more than capable of filling in. Kadarius Toney (WR) Kansas City Chiefs – Toney is listed as day-to-day with a hamstring injury. The sophomore wideout missed last week with the injury but is tentatively expected to return to practice in a limited capacity this week. Allen Robinson (WR) Los Angeles Rams – The foot injury that forced A-Rob to miss Week 12 turned out to be a season-ender. Surgery will be required and Robinson will go down as a huge bust in a lost 2022 campaign. Elijah Mitchell (RB) San Francisco 49ers – Mitchel again sprained his MCL and is expected to miss the remainder of the fantasy season. Jordan Mason is the next man up for the Niners as Christian McCaffrey‘s understudy. Daniel Bellinger (TE) New York Giants – After missing four games with a nasty eye injury, Bellinger could return this week. Rex Burkhead (RB) Houston Texans – Burkhead is in the league’s concussion protocol. With only seven touches in Houston’s past five contests, Burkhead has no fantasy value.   ENTER OUR WEEK 13 DRAFT CONTEST! How it Works: First, draft your team using our On-Demand Simulator. Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

Bengals RB Joe Mixon

Here are the key fantasy-relevant injury situations we’ll be monitoring with the fantasy football injury rundown. Both for this week’s action and moving forward. Also, be sure to check out our Week 12 waiver wire and FAAB recommendations. Also, be sure to join us in the FullTime Fantasy Discord Channel for injury updates throughout the week. And, from our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving! Joe Mixon (RB) Cincinnati Bengals – Mixon was forced out of Cincinnati’s Week 11 win with a concussion. Because the Bengals play Sunday, Mixon will have adequate time to clear the NFL concussion protocol. However, that is not a sure thing. Fantasy managers would be wise to make Samaje Perine their top priority on the Week 11 waiver wire. Ja’Marr Chase (WR) Cincinnati Bengals – The good news is that Chase is off crutches. Also, the superstar wideout is listed as day-to-day. The bad news: Chase hasn’t returned to practice and the club is keeping his status close to the vest. Obviously, Chase’s status has huge fantasy ramifications, so we will stay alert. Justin Fields (QB) Chicago Bears – Fields dislocated his left (non-throwing) shoulder. The second-year signal-caller still managed to play through the injury. However, his status moving forward is somewhat in doubt. We should have a better idea of Fields’s availability on Wednesday. Mike Williams (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – A brutal reminder of why it’s always risky to gamble on players returning from lower leg injuries in their first game back. Williams re-aggravated the high-ankle injury that cost the veteran wideout four games. Although the reoccurrence isn’t considered serious, expect Williams to miss games until he is 100%. Josh Palmer and DeAndre Carter will benefit while Williams is out. Marquise Brown (WR) Arizona Cardinals – Brown was eligible to return last week but ultimately held out. But, there is good news. Brown indicated that he feels close and his odds of suiting up against the Chargers look promising. As always, we’ll keep FullTime members updated in the FullTime Fantasy Discord Channel. Matthew Stafford (QB) Los Angeles Rams – Stafford is back in the league’s concussion protocol. This is the second stint for Stafford in two weeks. The veteran quarterback will almost certainly miss time. Plus, with the Rams’ season spiraling, it won’t make sense for the club to rush Stafford back. Playoff-bound fantasy managers who were relying on Stafford should look for other options. Kyle Pitts (TE) Atlanta Falcons – Pitts was placed on IR after an MRI revealed a torn MCL. The sophomore tight end will miss a minimum of four games. However, with surgery, the most likely scenario is that Pitts’s fantasy season is effectively over. Rondale Moore (WR) Arizona Cardinals – Unfortunately, Moore suffered a groin injury on Arizona’s first play from scrimmage. The sophomore standout was unable to return to action against San Francisco. This doesn’t bode well for Moore’s Week 12 availability. Wan’Dale Robinson (WR) New York Giants – Robinson tore his ACL during his breakout performance. This injury will end Robinson’s rookie season. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB) Kansas City Chiefs – A high-ankle sprain will keep Edwards-Helaire sidelined for multiple weeks. CEH’s playing time was already dwindling before the injury. Conversely, Isiah Pacheco‘s role as the Chiefs’ starter looks even more secure. Jaylen Warren (RB) Pittsburgh Steelers – Pittsburgh’s satellite back hurt his hamstring early last week. Warren wasn’t able to return to action and is expected to sit in Week 12. In Warren’s absences, Najee Harris led all running backs with a 91.8% snap share. That puts Harris back in the RB1 conversation while Warren is out. Jerry Jeudy (WR) Denver Broncos – Jeudy was absent from practice Tuesday with an ankle injury. Unless there is a sudden improvement, Jeudy is on the wrong side of questionable for Week 12. Kadarius Toney (WR) Kansas City Chiefs – Toney re-aggravated his hamstring injury after just one target. If Toney is unable to return in Week 12, the Chiefs would be dangerously thin at wideout. Juju Smith-Schuster is also sidelined by a concussion. Chase Edmonds (RB) Denver Broncos – A high-ankle sprain will keep Edmonds out for a minimum of four weeks. One of the bigger busts of the 2022 draft season, Edmonds can safely be dropped from all non-dynasty rosters. Jameson Williams (WR) Detroit Lions – The Lions opened the 21-day window for Williams to make his NFL debut. The No. 12 overall pick tore his ACL in January’s national championship game and has yet to practice. However, this is an encouraging development for the dynamic rookie. Williams is certainly worth a look on the waiver wire where he is a free agent.   ENTER OUR WEEK 12 DRAFT CONTEST! How it Works: Draft your team using our On-Demand Simulator.
