Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

Jalen Hurts

After a three-day Wild-Card weekend, we’re down to the final four in each conference. This weekend’s Division Round offers some intriguing matchups. However, some key injuries are sure to make an impact on the field and in fantasy lineups. Our Fantasy Football Injury Rundown breaks down all the injuries you’ll need to know before you finalize your playoff lineups. Speaking of Fantasy Football Playoff Leagues, there’s still time to enter a Division Round Best ball Draft. Also, somebody is going to win a trip to Maui by simply having the highest two-week best ball run. That could be you! Next, let’s get to the fantasy football injury rundown. Jalen Hurts (QB) Philadelphia Eagles – Now more than a month since Hurts injured his shoulder, all indications are that Hurts is fully healthy. The SC joint that Hurts injured should no longer impact his throwing or running. Before that injury, Hurts and the Eagles dispatched the Giants 48-22 back in Week 14. Trevor Lawrence (QB) Jacksonville Jaguars – Lawrence is listed as limited with a toe injury. However, this issue has lingered for weeks but has not hampered Lawrence on the field. Lawrence should be good to go as the Jags are big underdogs in Kansas City. Isaiah McKenzie (WR) Buffalo Bills – McKenzie hurt his hamstring prior to last week and missed Buffalo’s win. However, McKenzie returned to practice in full Wednesday. Expect McKenzie to return to action versus Cincinnati. Isaiah Hodgins (WR) New York Giants – Similar to last week, Hodgins has been limited in practice with an ankle injury. Hodgins played through the ailment last week and had a dominant game. This is a non-issue. Also, Hodgins found the end-zone against Philadelphia in Week 14. We view Hodgins as a solid WR3 in this slate. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB) Kansas City Chiefs – Kansas City’s backfield should be reinforced just in time for the postseason. Edwards-Helaire has been out since Week 11 with a high-ankle sprain but returned to practice Tuesday. CEH dominated touches in the opening month of the season. But, as things progressed, Jerrick McKinnon and Isiah Pacheco emerged as bigger parts of the offense. It’s hard to pinpoint how much of a role Edwards-Helaire will have in the Division Round. Mecole Hardman (WR) Kansas City Chiefs – Out since Week 9, Hardman is looking unlikely for the Division Round. Andy Reid told the media that Hardman’s core injury recovery isn’t where it needs to be. This makes it highly unlikely that Hardman will play this week. The #Chiefs say that WR Mecole Hardman is out of practice again on Wednesday. DE Frank Clark, who was limited on Tuesday, is expected to do more on Wednesday. Both IR players, RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire and TE Jody Fortson, did “well” on Tuesday and are expected to work Wednesday. — Pete Sweeney (@pgsween) January 18, 2023 Skyy Moore (WR) Kansas City Chiefs – The rookie wideout missed the regular-season finale with a hand injury but was cleared to practice without restrictions. However, Moore played fewer than 20% of Kansas City’s snaps this season and had single-digit receiving yards in seven of his final 10 games. Moore is nothing more than a cheap DFS option this week. Jamal Agnew (WR) Jacksonville Jaguars – Agnew was listed as limited with a shoulder ailment. He played through the same injury last week, so it doesn’t appear to be much of a concern. However, Agnew’s 12.5% snap rate is.   Maui Madness Playoff Pick’Em — ($25 or a 5-pack for $100) Maui Madness is still accepting entries up until Conference Championship Weekend as the contest takes your highest two weekly scores to determine the winner. While most fantasy football leagues have already concluded, that does not mean the fun is over. In fact, the best is yet to come for one skilled fantasy player! That person who can build the best fantasy lineup for the playoffs will win the grand prize of A Trip for Four to Maui!

Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

Tua Tagovailoa

The NFL playoffs are here, but plenty of injuries will still impact this weekend’s action. If anything, injuries now have an even bigger impact. Our Fantasy Football Injury Rundown catches you up on the latest. Speaking of fantasy football, the season is far from over. With the FFWC, NFL Playoff Fantasy Leagues are open. Enter your shot at winning FFWC Online Championship seats (FREE!), a trip to Maui, and the grand prize of $20,000! Click below to find out more. Now, onto the fantasy football injury rundown.   Lamar Jackson (QB) Baltimore Ravens – Jackson has yet to resume practicing and has all but been ruled out. Injured initially in Week 13, Jackson hasn’t been close to returning or seen practicing in six weeks. Also, backup Tyler Huntley (wrist) has been limited. If Huntley cannot go, Anthony Brown will get a rematch with the Bengals this week. Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Miami Dolphins – Head coach Mike McCoy indicated that Tagovailoa has still not cleared concussion protocol. McCoy also ruled Tagovailoa out for Miami’s wild-card matchup. Teddy Bridgewater (finger) is also expected to be sidelined. That puts rookie Skylar Thompson in line to start against a surging Buffalo squad. It has been a decade since a first-year quarterback has won a playoff game. Raheem Mostert (RB) Miami Dolphins – Mostert fractured his thumb in Miami’s finale and is questionable to play on Sunday. Even with a cast, it is hard to see a running back contributing with a broken thumb. Should Mostert sit, Jeff Wilson would be slated for a lot of touches against Buffalo. Mike Williams (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – Williams exited Week 18 with a back injury that looked worrisome. He has yet to practice this week. Los Angeles also has to travel to Jacksonville for Saturday’s game. This gives Williams less time to recover. Conversely, it is looking like Williams is unlikely to play in the wild-card round. Kenneth Walker (RB) Seattle Seahawks – Walker (ankle)did not practice Wednesday. However, this appears to be a routine rest day for the rookie. Walker has racked up three consecutive games with 23-plus rushes and 100-plus rushing yards. Jaylen Waddle (WR) Miami Dolphins – Another issue for the banged-up Dolphins. Waddle (ankle) was limited in practice. However, local media seem to think the limited tag was simply a precaution. Waddle is fully expected to suit up on Sunday. Gus Edward (RB) Baltimore Ravens – Edwards exited Week 18 early and is still in the league’s concussion protocol. It is looking unlikely that Edwards will be able to play this week. That puts JK Dobbins in a position to see a lot of work for the injury-ravaged Ravens. Tee Higgins (WR) Cincinnati Bengals – Higgins sat out Wednesday’s practice with an undisclosed illness. Currently, there doesn’t seem to be any concern about Higgins’ Week 19 status because he is not injured. Trevor Lawrence (QB) Jacksonville Jaguars – The Jaguars listed QB Trevor Lawrence as limited with a toe injury. However, Lawrence played through the ailment last week without issue. Noah Fant (TE) Seattle Seahawks – Seattle’s starting tight end was once again limited in practice by a knee injury. This has been commonplace for Fant, who has yet to miss a game. Finally, Fant played over 64% of Seattle’s snaps last week and should be good to go versus San Francisco.   Our fantasy playoffs challenge is live! Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

Tua Tagovailoa

You navigated troubled waters and have reached your destination: Championship week. Congratulations on advancing to the final week. FullTime’s Fantasy Football Injury Rundown will give you the latest news on players who may or may not be active in Week 17. Also, be sure to join us in the FullTime Fantasy Discord Channel for injury updates throughout the week. And, check the Week 17 waiver wire suggestions for help. Now, let’s check out the Week 17 fantasy football injury rundown. Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Miami Dolphins – Back in the NFL’s concussion protocol for the third second time, fantasy managers should be prepared to be without Tagovailoa this week. The Dolphins should step in and protect their franchise signal-caller. Expect Teddy Bridgewater to be under center against the Patriots. Lamar Jackson (QB) Baltimore Ravens – Jackson hasn’t practiced since injuring his PCL in Week 13. Also, since the Ravens have already clinched a playoff spot. There’s a good chance Jackson won’t be active again in the regular season. Jalen Hurts (QB) Philadelphia Eagles – After missing one game, Hurts is angling to play this week. Philadelphia needs one win to clinch the NFC’s only bye. However, the Eagles have a more-than-capable backup in Gardner Minshew. At best, Hurts is a 50/50 proposition for Sunday’s tilt. Tony Pollard (RB) Dallas Cowboys – Pollard (knee) missed a second consecutive practice Tuesday. The Cowboys travel to Dallas to take on the Titans on Thursday. As a result, Pollard is looking like a very questionable Week 16 option, especially on short rest. Tyler Lockett (WR) Seattle Seahawks – Lockett sat out last week after having surgery on his broken finger. However, it is possible Lockett could return in a limited capacity this week. That said we’ll monitor Lockett’s practice participation throughout the week. Christian Watson (WR) Green Bay Packers – Watson exited Week 16’s victory with an undisclosed left hip injury. Watson is listed as day-to-day. Greg Dulcich (TE) Denver Broncos – Another hamstring injury is likely to end Dulcich’s season. It wouldn’t make any sense for a team that just dismissed their coach to rush a player back in a lost season. If Dulcich is done, Denver would resort to a tight-end committee in Week 17. Antonio Gibson (RB) Washington Commanders – Gibson has an undisclosed sprain that puts his Week 17 status in doubt. Once we learn more about the location and severity of the ailment, we will update our Week 17 projections. Antonio Gibson is dealing with a “sprain,” Rivera said. Wouldn’t reveal the body part, but sounds concerning. That injury led to more Jonathan Williams last week. — Ben Standig (@BenStandig) December 27, 2022 Hunter Henry (TE) New England Patriots – New England has issues with both tight ends. Henry is in danger of missing Week 17 with a knee injury. Meanwhile, Jonnu Smith exited Week 16 with a potential concussion. We’ll monitor the status of both players and update Discord when news breaks. Will Dissly (TE) Seattle Seahawks – Seattle placed Dissly on IR with a knee injury. Because of that, Dissly’s 2022 fantasy season is over. Jaycee Horn (CB) Carolina Panthers – A broken wrist will end Jaycee Horn’s regular season. Simultaneously, the Panthers signed veteran DB Josh Norman to fill in. However, if Carolina makes a lengthy playoff run, Horn could suit up again in January.   ENTER OUR WEEK 17 DRAFT CONTEST!
