Plays of the Day
Value: Tyrone Wallace could serve as a great value in a Clippers uniform with Avery Bradley (groin) out and Danilo Gallinari (hand) iffy to play tonight. Give him a look in what could be a shootout in Denver.
Fade: Bradley Beal burned the Bucks earlier this season but is seeing a lot more attention with John Wall (knee) out indefinitely and could struggle to score against the lengthy combination of Khris Middleton and The Greek Freak.
Point Guards
Damian Lillard – (9,700 DK/10,000 FD)
Coming off a huge 40-point game at Phoenix, Lillard draws another plus matchup tonight against a Kings team that ranks 29th in defensive rating and allows the most 3PTM (12.3) per game this year. Dame is 14-for-34 (.412%) from downtown while averaging 33.7 PPG over three meetings with Sacramento this season and has been cooking all month with averages of 32 PPG and 6.1 APG over nine appearances in February.
Jamal Murray – (6,600 DK/7,000 FD)
Murray has played at least 35 minutes in four consecutive appearances and that gives him a great chance to exceed value in a plus matchup tonight. The Clippers are giving up 110.6 PPG since the start of January and the sixth-most PPG (26.44) to opposing PGs over the last month. Like most young players, Murray excels at home, where he’s averaging 17.6 PPG while shooting 44.4 percent from 3PT range. Feel free to use him in any format at this price tag considering his ample upside.
Potential Value
Tyler Johnson – (5,100 DK/4,900 FD)
Johnson is seeing a lot more playing time for Miami now and that makes him relatively under priced.
Longshot
Eric Bledsoe – (7,300 DK/7,900 FD)
Bledsoe should dominate a less athletic defender tonight in Tomas Satoransky.
Shooting Guards
Josh Richardson – (5,200 DK/6,000 FD)
Richardson might see more run tonight as Miami looks to match up with sizable wings Ben Simmons and Robert Covington. His price tag has certainly plummeted on DK despite posting averages of 15.9 PPG on efficient 50.9 percent FG shooting over his last nine appearances and that makes him a relative value in a matchup with the fast-paced Sixers.
Tyrone Wallace – (4,000 DK/4,500 FD)
With Avery Bradley (groin) out and Danilo Gallinari (hand) questionable tonight, Wallace could serve as an excellent value to consider in any format. He went for 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists over 37 minutes at Phoenix on Friday and averages 12.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists per 36 minutes this season. He could certainly exceed value if given that amount of run in a fast-paced contest at Denver this evening.
Potential Value
Bogdan Bogdanovic – (5,500 DK/5,400 FD)
Bogdanovic was solid once again last night and has played 30-plus minutes in consecutive games with Garrett Temple (back) hurt.
Longshot
Gary Harris – (6,000 DK/6,700 FD)
Harris may fly under the radar to an extent in a plus matchup at home against the Clippers.
Small Forwards
LeBron James – (11,700 DK/11,500 FD)
LeBron has produced at least 50 FPs in seven consecutive appearances and is seeing heavy playing time regardless of game flow. He posted a triple double in a blowout win Friday and played 40 minutes in a loss to the Spurs, because the Cavs are extremely dependent on their MVP candidate. The Nets play at the sixth-fastest pace in the league and really struggle to protect the rim, plus Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (groin) is their best wing defender and might be hobbled on the second half of a B2B set.
Wilson Chandler – (5,200 DK/5,600 FD)
Clearly, the Nuggets-Clippers game is one to target tonight with an Over/Under of 232 points. Chandler is another slightly under priced option as a solid wing player who has seen 31-plus minutes in five consecutive appearances for Denver. The veteran is averaging 16.4 PPG and 6.8 RPG during that span and faces a Clippers team that gives up the seventh-most FPPG (41.97) to opposing SFs this season.
Potential Value
Denzel Valentine – (4,200 DK/4,000 FD)
Valentine is benefitting from the Bulls benching some of their older players down the stretch.
Longshot
Kelly Oubre Jr. – (4,800 DK/5,000 FD)
Oubre is seeing a lot more playing time with John Wall (knee) on the shelf and is coming off a great game against the Sixers.
Power Forwards
Larry Nance Jr. – (5,200 DK/5,800 FD)
Nance Jr. one of the most productive per-minute players to consider tonight and a relative value to use next to LeBron James in the same plus matchup. Brooklyn gives up the most RPG (46.5), BPG (5.8) and 2PTM (32) per game, which explains why the Nets give up the third-most FPPG (48.98) to opposing PFs this season. Nance Jr. is averaging 14.9 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 5.2 STL/BLK per 36 minutes over five appearances with the Cavs and has a clear path to playing time with Kevin Love (hand) on the shelf.
Markieff Morris – (4,900 DK/5,500 FD)
Morris is a good cash play to use at PF considering his declining price tag on DK. He hasn’t hit 30 minutes of playing time in eight straight appearances, but is still producing with averages of 11.3 PPG, 5.9 RPG and 3.9 APG during that span. The Wizards are spreading out the offense with John Wall (knee) unavailable and Kieff is getting over an illness that bothered him over the ASB. He should be able to meet value against a Bucks team that ranks dead last in RPG (39.6) and lacks size down low.
Potential Value
Skal Labissiere – (4,600 DK/5,400 FD)
Labissiere saw 31 minutes last night while veteran Zach Randolph was a DNP-CD.
Longshot
Tobias Harris – (7,600 DK/7,500 FD)
Harris might not flash the ridiculous upside he showed on Friday in Phoenix but he’s worth a look in a plus matchup.
Centers
Joel Embiid – (9,400 DK/10,200 FD)
Embiid loves facing elite competition at the center position and while he missed a recent meeting with the Heat, he produced 17 points, 11 rebounds four assists and three blocks in a win over Miami at the start of February. He’s averaging 24.6 PPG, 12.1 RPG and 3.1 STL/BLK per game over nine appearances this month and is a bit under priced on DK given his limitless upside.
John Henson – (4,700 DK/5,500 FD)
Here’s a bargain center to consider if you want to jam LeBron James and/or Dame Lillard into some lineups tonight. Henson is averaging 11.5 PPG and 10.3 RPG over his last four appearances and the Bucks have no other options when it comes to manning the paint. Henson’s playing time has become more consistent on interim HC Jay Triano and he’s paid off as a value in nine of his last 10 appearances.
Potential Value
Marcin Gortat – (4,900 DK/4,700 FD)
Len will look to solidify his role as the Suns center of the future the rest of the way.
Longshot
DeAndre Jordan – (7,900 DK/8,300 FD)
Jordan has been reinvigorated lately and Nikola Jokic isn’t a great defensive player even though he can lit it up on offense.
