Wise Plays for DK 8/28/18

I mention/linked the TTP article specifically since we are all about transparency around Scout, and August has been tough going for me!
But you know what, we’re sticking to the plan since this is EXACTLY what I wrote about back in May.

Let’s kick the dog days of summer right in the A$$, and get back on track with tonight’s 15 gamer.
On to the Process!
NOTE: Contest Selection – Remember we’re targeting Single Entry and/or Max Limit Tournaments. “No Comma Contests” meaning competition is in the hundreds at most.
Pitchers
Our TTP strategy is that we are generally hunting for Value (Less than $10.5k).
Value SPs in August have been highly volatile which has led to the funk, but we won’t change our approach (TTP!). Especially on a Slate like tonight with A LOT of high end bats in very good spots.
With that in mind, let’s talk strategy;
Fading All Top Tier Arms ($10k or more) – Max, Nola, DeGrom, etc.
I’m not at all saying these guys don’t throw well, but for their price I think we can find SP points and get those big bats.
Value Chalk Fades – Lynn and Tehran. DK SP2 all over the board, and each is in a spot to blow up.
Wise Plays – SPs
MadBum – Coming off a dominant performance (yes vs. Mets) BUT, this is a $10K+ arm when on and AZ K’s quite a bit. Also consider Buchholz will gain some ownership vs. SF, this could end up being nice leverage. Coldest weather of the night.
Hamels – This may be a rare night I roster Cole, but the move to the Cubbies and a matchup vs. DeGrom/Mets could continue his shot in the arm. It certainly worked for MadBum last time out.
Junis – Good K upside for a $7.1K arm on DK, and there’s only a couple bats on the Tigers to be mindful of. Innings/Pitch is Junis’ biggest obstacle here. Target here is 6 IP, 5 to 7K’s, 3 or less ER’s, and a W.
K Felix (LONGSHOT) – $5.5k punt option vs. Pads in SD. For $5.5k we are looking for 12 to 15 points out of the old King.
Wise Plays – Bats
The rubber meets the road tonight with bats because LITERALLY every heavy hitting team tonight is in a great spot. Good news is with our Value SP strategy, we can load up!
Overall for the Core, I’m looking LAD and Astros bats first.
