Waiver Wire for Week 14
Quarterbacks
Josh Allen — Admittedly, he’s hard to trust, but he draws the Jets at home in Week 13, so it’s entirely possible he could have a breakout game.
Baker Mayfield — The Panthers defense is in shambles right now, and Baker was a disaster last week against Houston. I love going back to guys after they have had bad games — especially uber-competitive guys like Mayfield.
Jameis Winston — He’s played well over the last two weeks, and Tampa tends to play New Orleans better at home than they do on the road.
Running Backs
Jeff Wilson — Wilson would be my number one pick off the waiver wire this week. Breida is out, and the Broncos run defense has been wildly inconsistent all season long so Wilson could be in line for a big game.
Jaylen Samuels — With Conner out, I expect Samuels to get about 60% of the touches in the backfield. Ridley is more of the short-yardage runner, but Samuels should thrive in the Steelers wide-open offense. He’s a must pick up in PPR formats.
Justin Jackson — Melvin Gordon might return as soon as this week, but if he remains out for one more game, then I absolutely love Jackson to make an impact against a worn down and sad Bengals defense.
John Kelly — Malcolm Brown is out for the remainder of the season, so Kelly will be Gurley’s backup. He is a must add for Gurley owners.
Stevan Ridley — Samuels will get most of the touches, but Ridley still could make an impact on short yardage, and goal line plays. He is the Steeler RB to own if you play in a standard scoring format.
Damien Williams — He looked good last week and might play a bit more this week against a Ravens defense that will show Mahomes a better pass rush than he has seen all season.
Rex Burkhead — Running against Miami is the easiest thing to do in football right now (even Bills QB Josh Allen ran for over 100 yards against them last week). I still like Sony Michel more, but I can see Belichick continue to ramp up Burkhead’s carries as we move closer to the playoffs.
Chase Edmonds — He looked terrific on two goal-line carries last week and he is a must own for any team with David Johnson as their starter.

Wide Receivers
Dante Pettis — Goodwin continues to be out for personal reasons, leaving the door wide open for Pettis to come in and make big plays. Denver has been beaten deep all season by fast receivers; it wouldn’t shock me to see Pettis catch a long TD.
Chris Godwin — Today’s rumor has DJax missing the rest of the season (I told you this two weeks ago!), and if so, Godwin will become a primary target of Winston and a must-start player.
Bruce Ellington — He’s the second option to Kenny Golladay and a lock for 10-14 Fantasy points each week in PPR formats.
Curtis Samuel — Samuel has started to insert himself (along with DJ Moore) as one of Cam Newton’s top targets. His speed is a mismatch vs. any defender, and he could easily make a few big plays against the Browns slow secondary.
Mike Williams — Williams can break through at any time with a two TD game, and he gets to play the hapless Bengals secondary this week.
Zay Jones — Kelvin Benjamin was cut on Tuesday leaving Zay Jones as the Bills WR1. I worry about him being covered by the opposing teams top CB, but Zay is playing with more confidence recently and could finish the year with a flourish.
John Ross — A.J. Green is out for the season, so expect to see Ross be given every opportunity to stretch the field.
Ryan Switzer — Switzer has turned into a very reliable receiver for Big Ben. With the Steelers playing the Patriots and the Saints in Weeks 15-16, he could find himself as a recipient of a ton of targets.
Tight Ends
Ian Thomas — Greg Olson is out for the season, and Thomas will be the team’s starter at tight end. He is a bit raw in his route running, but he does have some upside as Cam likes to throw his way.
Mark Andrews — Andrews has been the Ravens’ most productive tight end this season, and he has a dream matchup against the Chiefs in Week 13 who have struggled mightily against opposing tight ends all season.
C.J. Uzomah — Credit goes to Willie Walls who said to me last week that he thought Driskel would use Uzomah as an outlet target. He should be good for another 8-12 Fantasy points this week as well.
