PITCHING

  1. Luis Severino … I really cannot think of anything poor to say about Sevy tonight except that … Well, nothing?  But by the same token it’s not exactly a murder spot that some others might perceive it to be.  This is the ultimate “OH THIS GUYS A CASH PLAY TODAY” recommendation if you have ever heard one.  By the way, when I typed in all caps there.  Just imagine I had some young douche accent as if I lived in a hip town somewhere like Austin, TX or … oh no, better yet, Nashville, TN.  Yeah…   Anyways.  Severino for just under 12k ON DK tonight is not a bad play.
  2. Trevor Richards … #SouthBeachTheory
  3. Jake Odorizzi … I’m mainly listing him just to give a SP2 choice to go with Richards and go full “5%” owned pitcher mode tonight.  OK, Richards might be higher then that, but Eggs wont.  He’s usually beaten up a little more by righties, so Edwin scares me, but it’s not extremely hot here and all things considered, he’s a better arm than most of the other guys in the mid range tonight and would be leverage against the always popular Indians

LONGSHOT

  1. Andrew Cashner … Will not be popular and I am not messing with the Rays and their who’s pitching when and for how long mess, you can chase that against Baltimore.  Last night Glasnow pitched the game of the year and still managed to not hit 40 FD points.  Anyways, Cashner in Tropicana field is a good park for him to avoid HR damage and while he has almost NO strikeout upside, he should get you the standard Cashner line which is 5 innings, a couple runs and 2-3x for low price to pair with Severino.

STACKS

BRAVES / NATIONALS … I love Folty, but I don’t use Folty against the Nationals in DC..  It’s Trea Turner night and I think the lefties can give Folty some problems here in what I expect to be fairly high scoring game as I like a few Braves because they’re actually a better hitting team of late vs LHP with Freeman-Flowers-Camargo leading the way.

RED SOX … No team should be more popular tonight than the Sox in Toronto against a 28-year old rookie righty who wont go deep and then we face a mediocre and falling down bullpen.

CUBS … The motto of 2018 should be that friends do not let friends stack the Cubs.   Well, hope you have some friends.   Rizzo’s birthday, Baez on fire and some warm temps could get the Cubs going tonight.

SNEAKY

PADRES … Can the Pads do it two games in a row against the Brewers?  Well, we have former Padre Chacin on the mound against them and we saw what they did in this park last night and I am banking on that carrying over today.  Lemme check something.  Yep, it’s Hosmer Hump Day.

TWINS … No chance I let the series end and not stack the LiC.  Sunshine with clouds at home is a receipe for some LiC action with Rosairo and Kepler

FADES

Indians, Cardinals, Yankees, Brewers

POSITIONAL FAVORITES

CATCHER

We actually have some decent catchers to pick from tonight, I wouldn’t use any on FD where we don’t have too but on DK you have Hedges vs his old SP to consider as very contrarian today.

  1. Willson Contreras
  2. Tyler Flowers
  3. Austin Hedges

FIRST BASE

It’s Rizzo’s birthday and it’s Hosmer Wednesday, but Freeman vs a shitty LHP is very very very tempting

  1. Anthony Rizzo … Birthday boy
  2. Freddie Freeman
  3. Mitch Moreland … Hitting third, good play (UPDATED)
  4. Eric Hosmer

SECOND BASE

Meh.  It’s Javy chalk night.  Might just eat it.

  1. Javy Baez
  2. Jonathan Schoop
  3. Whit Merrifield

THIRD BASE

Camargo vs a LHP!   Devers coming off the DL at 2k on FD is a hard FADE because he’s gonna be 70% owned tonight and I think he is just so-so off the DL today.

  1. Johan Camargo … Against a lefty!
  2. Rafael Devers … Returning from DL and only 2k on FD.  L…O…L….
  3. Justin Turner

SHORTSTOP

Trea vs Folty.  Next question.   Could argue he is my favorite play today.

  1. Trea Turner
  2. Tim Beckham
  3. Didi Gregorius
  4. Freddy Galvis
