2025 Rookie Profile: Luther Burden III (WR) Missouri

Welcome to the 2025 fantasy football season. FullTime Fantasy‘s annual rookie reports next present 2025 Rookie Profile: Luther Burden III, the standout wide receiver from Missouri.

Resume

Luther Burden III, a wide receiver from Missouri, entered college as one of the most heralded recruits in the 2022 class. A consensus five-star prospect out of East St. Louis Senior High School, he was ranked as the No. 1 receiver nationally by ESPN, Rivals, and 247Sports and the No. 6 overall player per 247Sports Composite.

Named MaxPreps National Player of the Year, Burden dominated his senior season with 71 receptions for 1,174 yards and 20 touchdowns. Choosing Missouri over Alabama and Georgia, he became the Tigers’ highest-rated receiver signee in program history and only their fourth five-star recruit in the past two decades.

At Missouri, Burden earned First-Team All-SEC honors in 2023 and 2024, Second-Team All-America in 2023, and was a 2023 Biletnikoff Award semifinalist. He declared for the 2025 NFL Draft after his junior season.

College Stats

Burden’s 2023 season was a breakout, with 1,212 receiving yards ranking third in Missouri single-season history and five consecutive 100+ yard games, a feat only one other Tiger has achieved. His 2024 production dropped due to a combination of shoulder/arm injuries, an undisclosed illness, and a regressed Missouri passing game (team passing yards fell from 3,671 in 2023 to 2,535 in 2024). Despite this, he maintained an 85.9% catch rate and faced heavier defensive attention.

2022 (Freshman): 45 receptions, 375 yards (8.3 YPC), 6 receiving TDs; 18 rushes, 88 yards (4.9 YPC), 2 rushing TDs; 24 punt returns, 251 yards (10.5 avg), 1 punt-return TD

2023 (Sophomore): 86 receptions, 1,212 yards (14.1 YPC), 9 TDs; 13 rushes, 75 yards (5.8 YPC); started all 13 games

2024 (Junior): 61 receptions, 676 yards (11.1 YPC), 6 TDs; 9 rushes, 115 yards (12.8 YPC), 2 TDs; started 10 of 12 games

Career Totals: 192 receptions, 2,263 yards (11.8 YPC), 21 TDs; 40 rushes, 278 yards (7.0 YPC), 4 TDs; 24 punt returns, 251 yards (10.5 avg), 1 TD

Measurables

Burden’s measurables reflect a compact, explosive athlete. His below-average height and arm length limit his catch radius, but his elite speed and agility shine in open-field scenarios. Smaller hands are a minor concern, though his drop rate (3.5% over his final two seasons) suggests reliable ball skills.

Height: 5-11

Weight: 206 pounds

Arm Length: 31.25”

Hand Size: 8.5”

40-Yard Dash: 4.41 seconds (95th percentile)

10-Yard Split: 1.54 seconds (90th percentile)

Vertical Jump: Not publicly reported

Broad Jump: Not publicly reported

Other: Elite speed score (88th percentile), 28% career target-per-route-run rate (3rd in 2025 WR class), 0.49 missed tackles forced per reception.

As the 2025 NFL Draft nears, front offices league-wide are finalizing their evaluations. For many franchises—particularly those with early first-round picks—the draft is a pivotal moment that can define their future. This mock draft examines how each team might navigate the first round and projects how the next crop of elite prospects could transition to the NFL. The Tennessee Titans hold the No. 1 pick, and their direction seems clear as draft night approaches. Let’s dive into the selections!

1. Tennessee Titans: QB Cam Ward, Miami

The Titans are poised to select Miami’s Cam Ward with the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Barring an irresistible trade offer from a team like the New York Giants, Tennessee will stay put and aim to revitalize the franchise with a dynamic new quarterback.

2. Cleveland Browns: WR/CB Travis Hunter, Colorado

Travis Hunter climbs to his highest spot yet in my mock drafts. While pairing Myles Garrett with Abdul Carter would terrify opposing offenses, Kevin Stefanski and the Browns won’t pass on the draft’s most electrifying talent. Hunter’s two-way brilliance begs the question: Will he focus on wide receiver or cornerback in the NFL?

3. New York Giants: EDGE Abdul Carter, Penn State

The Giants would leap at the chance to grab Ward or Hunter if either slips to No. 3, but with both likely gone, they’ll turn to the best available talent. Abdul Carter’s raw potential and upside make him irresistible, even with Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux already in tow. The Giants’ Super Bowl history underscores the value of a dominant defensive line—Carter could be the key to reclaiming that edge.

4. New England Patriots: OL Will Campbell, LSU

Will Campbell edges out Missouri’s Armand Membou as my top offensive lineman in this class. The Patriots will prioritize the LSU product’s ability to anchor left tackle, giving Drake Maye a reliable blindside protector. Campbell may not reach All-Pro heights, but his NFL readiness makes him a safe bet to bolster New England’s line.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars: DL Mason Graham, Michigan

Mason Graham is the only top-five constant across my four mock drafts. Jacksonville’s defensive front has talent but lacks a game-changing interior force. Graham, despite an injury-marred 2024, brings elite traits and pairs with Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker to form a fearsome pass-rush trio.

6. Las Vegas Raiders…

Draft Buzz and ‘Coach-Speak’ Boost Ashton Jeanty’s Fantasy Football Stock

By Frankie Taddeo Draft Buzz and ‘Coach-Speak’ Boost Ashton Jeanty’s Fantasy Football Stock Draft rumors and “coach-speak” around Ashton Jeanty’s fantasy football value are fueling significant shifts in both betting markets and ADP ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. As we get closer to this month’s NFL Draft, the buzz around trades and teams locking in their most coveted prospect targets is impacting both the fantasy football landscape as well as several popular betting markets. Among the biggest rumors is the Las Vegas Raiders selecting former Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty with the No. 6 overall pick. We previously highlighted back on March 4 that Jeanty was strongly linked by the experts in the desert to land with the Dallas Cowboys at odds of +260 in their initial offering. Raiders GM’s Comments Shift Jeanty’s Betting Odds Last week, while appearing on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Raiders General Manager John Spytek shared that his 10-year-old son Jack’s draft wish for the Silver and Black is predicated upon fantasy football and touchdowns. My oldest son has made it no secret, if we do not pick Ashton Jeanty at six, that he is walking out of the family and he is gonna find somebody else. Probably whoever takes Ashton. I think he is motivated by fantasy football and touchdowns in fantasy football. Not necessarily all of the team building. John Spytek   .@Raiders GM John Spytek is no stranger to opinions on what to do with the No. 6 in the 2025 NFL Draft… Especially those from his son 😂 📻 https://t.co/xM0RxQYoXW#Raiders | #RaiderNation pic.twitter.com/dlWbsU6nxL — SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 3, 2025     While many around the sport have been quick to dismiss the interview—holding the belief that teams will never openly reveal their actual draft intentions publicly—oddsmakers are taking Spytek’s words seriously. Over the last several days, the Raiders, who were once offered as high as +450 to land Jeanty, are now the prohibitive favorite to land his services at -150 at DraftKings Sportsbook (as of April 24, 2025). DraftKings Sportsbook odds for Ashton Jeanty’s next team as of April 24, 2025.  Jeanty’s Fantasy Football Value Soars Amid Raiders Rumors Fantasy football managers are jockeying to land the Maxwell and Doak Walker Award winner, who rushed for 4,769 rushing yards while scoring 56 total touchdowns in three seasons for the Broncos. The prospect of landing in Sin City with the Raiders has resulted in the 2024 Heisman Trophy runner-up catapulting up to back-end RB1 status. With an overall ADP in the early 30s (RB11-14) in early Fantasy Football World Championships (FFWC) drafts, it’s clear that managers are enamored with the projection of landing with a RB-needy Raiders offense. Last season, Las Vegas’ woeful ground game ranked last in the league in rushing yards (1,357), yards per carry (3.6), and rushing first downs (78). Adding a player of Jeanty’s caliber would instantly improve a Raiders offense that recently acquired veteran quarterback Geno Smith. Could the Jets Snag Jeanty If the Raiders Pass? While my first instinct was to dismiss the story of Jack giving his dad an ultimatum that would actually impact the team’s draft strategy, it’s clear that the betting markets and fantasy community are taking it quite seriously. On Sunday, ESPN’s Rich Cimini shared that if the Raiders were to pass on Jeanty, he believes he wouldn’t last past the Jets at pick No. 7. We have three running backs on this team that we’re gonna utilize as much as possible. Aaron Glenn As we highlighted last week, new Jets head coach Aaron Glenn recently told reporters the above, referencing the talents of Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis. This was one of the reasons Hall now ranks as an overvalued, risky pick due to his running back ADP range of 6-10. It would be shocking to see the Jets trade Hall in order to replace him with Jeanty in a three-man committee.   “It sounds like” Jets HC Aaron Glenn wants to shift to a RB committee, per @RichCimini Cimini notes the Jets may be open to trading Breece Hall if Ashton Jeanty is available at 7th overall pic.twitter.com/oYOyEgq26u — SleeperNFL (@SleeperNFL) April 6, 2025     Things are only heating up as we are just 16 days away from the best offseason event on the NFL calendar.

Shedeur Sanders’ NFL Draft Stock Decline: Fantasy Football Impact in 2025

Shedeur Sanders NFL Draft 2025 prospect

By Frankie Taddeo Shedeur Sanders NFL Draft 2025: How His Slide Affects Fantasy Value The Shedeur Sanders NFL Draft 2025 buzz is heating up, with his slipping prospects sending ripples through his 2025 fantasy football value as the draft approaches later this month. Not long ago, the former Colorado star was widely viewed as the second-best quarterback in this class, trailing only Miami’s Cam Ward. However, fresh reports suggest that teams like the Browns (picking No. 2) and Giants (No. 3) are cooling on the dynamic dual-threat passer. This shift has prompted a major shakeup in betting markets, with DraftKings Sportsbook now listing Sanders’ draft position at 8.5, heavily favoring the over at -200 odds. As the saying goes in betting circles, “where there’s smoke, there’s fire.” Sanders’ 2024 college season was undeniably impressive. He tossed 37 touchdowns—second-most in the nation—while posting a 74% completion rate, also second-best, en route to earning Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year honors. Yet, despite these gaudy stats, whispers of a “brash” personality have emerged, and critiques of his game are gaining traction. Jets safety Andre Cisco, for instance, took to X to jab at Sanders’ pro day performance, writing, “Boy better stop patting that ball, we breakin onnat earlyyyy,” a nod to concerns about his throwing motion. If Sanders doesn’t go to the Giants, there aren’t many clear landing spots for him in the top 10 … and he could slide. I could see a team trading up for him – maybe even the Saints, who have nine picks – but most of these rosters are already set at quarterback. This is a great outcome for New Orleans, though. I like this match a lot. Sanders is my top-ranked quarterback, and his accuracy jumps off the tape. He completed 74% of his throws last season despite being under constant pressure. Playing in the NFC South with good weather and a few indoor stadiums would ease any arm strength concerns. And he wouldn’t be forced to play right away. Derek Carr, 34, will be with the Saints for at least another season; Sanders could learn behind him before taking over. Mel Kiper Fantasy Football Ripple Effects With oddsmakers now pegging the Saints as Sanders’ likely landing spot at No. 9 (+300, down from +700), his fantasy stock is taking a hit. In redraft leagues, his ADP hovers between QB29 and QB31—making him, at best, a late-round stash if he ends up in New Orleans, where he’d likely sit behind Derek Carr initially. In Dynasty formats, such as those at the Fantasy Football World Championships (FFWC), Sanders is slipping out of the top 15 in rookie drafts. Meanwhile, Cam Ward is climbing into late first-round territory. However, if Sanders falls further on draft night, his current price tag could prove a bargain—especially if he lands in Pittsburgh. Should Aaron Rodgers bypass the Steelers, Sanders might step into a starting role under Mike Tomlin, one of the league’s premier coaches. April 24 can’t come soon enough. Be sure to check out Jody Smith’s WR/CB Travis Hunter Draft Profile.

Welcome to the 2025 fantasy football season. FullTime Fantasy‘s annual rookie reports examine the reigning Heisman Trophy Winner, 2025 Rookie Profile: Travis Hunter.

Resume

Travis Hunter Jr. is widely regarded as one of the most versatile players in college football history. Born on May 18, 2003, in West Palm Beach, Florida, Hunter moved to Georgia as a teenager and emerged as a standout at Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia. As a five-star recruit—the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2022 class per 247Sports and Rivals—he shocked the recruiting world by committing to Jackson State, an FCS program, under head coach Deion Sanders, over powerhouse Florida State.

After one season with the Tigers, Hunter followed Sanders to Colorado in 2023, where he redefined two-way stardom. In 2024, he capped his college career with a Heisman Trophy, becoming the first player to win both the Chuck Bednarik Award (top defensive player) and Fred Biletnikoff Award (top wide receiver), alongside a slew of other accolades including the Walter Camp Award, AP Player of the Year, and unanimous All-American honors…

Christian McCaffrey (RB) San Francisco 49ers

Last summer, Christian McCaffrey was the near-unanimous No. 1 pick in fantasy football drafts following a stellar 2023 season, where he racked up 2,023 scrimmage yards and 21 touchdowns. However, after appearing in just four games last year, the San Francisco 49ers running back left fantasy managers disappointed.

Looking ahead to 2025, fantasy players should hesitate before using a first-round pick on the three-time Pro Bowler, who has now missed substantial playing time in three of his past five seasons.

The seasoned running back struggled to stay healthy last season, sidelined by Achilles and knee issues. Fantasy managers who selected McCaffrey early were let down, especially as the 49ers appeared to downplay the severity of his injuries during the preseason.

After finishing as the RB69 in PPR leagues last season, fantasy managers should approach McCaffrey with caution rather than slotting him as an RB1 for the upcoming year. His recent injury history and the physical toll of eight NFL seasons make him a questionable value, despite an ADP that still places him among the top five running backs.

Dynasty League excitement is building at the Fantasy Football World Championships (FFWC). Don’t miss your chance to join the action!

2025 CHRISTIAN MCCAFFREY FANTASY FOOTBALL OUTLOOK

Rookie Isaac Guerendo stepped up for the 49ers, delivering four double-digit PPR performances after Week 7. The ex-Louisville star is currently the direct backup to McCaffrey on San Francisco’s depth chart.

Grant Cohn, OnSI’s 49ers reporter, recently noted that head coach Kyle Shanahan hinted at the NFL League meetings about adding another running back in this month’s draft: “We’ll see if we add one in the draft, but you’d like to add one every year.”

Though McCaffrey is only one year removed from a historic 2023 season—where he scored a touchdown in 16 straight games—the 2023 NFL Offensive Player of the Year carries significant risk as a first-round pick.

With injury concerns and potential competition for the lead role, McCaffrey stands out as an overvalued selection who may not deliver the elite RB1 numbers fantasy managers expect.

TreVeyon Henderson, a standout running back from Ohio State, entered college as a five-star recruit from Hopewell, Virginia, ranked as the No. 1 running back in the 2021 recruiting class. He burst onto the scene as a true freshman, rewriting the Buckeyes’ record books and showcasing his elite playmaking ability.

Despite battling injuries in his sophomore and junior seasons, Henderson returned to form in 2024, splitting carries with Quinshon Judkins while helping Ohio State secure a National Championship. Dynasty Fantasy Football | 3 Underrated Running Backs

Dynasty Fantasy Football: Chase Brown Leads Trio of RB Values As the 2025 NFL Draft looms, pinpointing running backs overlooked in early ADP rankings could be the key to fantasy football glory. Post-free agency, the excitement is palpable in Dynasty Leagues at the Fantasy Football World Championships (FFWC). Now is the perfect time to join the fun with Dynasty Fantasy Football! Before your dynasty fantasy football draft kicks off, here are three running backs ranked outside the top 30 in ADP, emerging as prime value picks for 2025. This feature is courtesy of Frank Taddeo. Chase Brown (RB) Cincinnati Bengals Brown burst onto the scene last year, securing the RB10 spot in PPR leagues. When veteran Zack Moss landed on IR with a season-ending neck injury, Brown excelled as the primary back. He ranked as the overall RB6 from Week 8 to Week 18, averaging 19.6 fantasy points per game. In only his second NFL season, the ex-Illinois star dazzled with his versatility, rushing for 990 yards and seven touchdowns. He also caught 54 passes for 360 yards and four additional scores. Playing alongside Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins, Brown’s 2025 potential skyrockets as defenses can’t focus solely on stopping the run against Cincinnati’s dynamic passing game. Comparable to elite backs like Saquon Barkley, Bijan Robinson, and Jahmyr Gibbs, Brown’s current RB2 valuation makes him a steal in both Dynasty and Redraft formats. He’s a prime mid-round target in early 2025 rankings, with the potential to deliver RB1 numbers. Jaylen Warren (RB) Pittsburgh Steelers With Najee Harris now a Charger, Warren currently reigns atop the Steelers’ depth chart ahead of the NFL Draft. In 2024, Warren ended as RB39, averaging 8.3 PPR points per game. Yet, a closer look shows he was RB23 from Week 11 to Week 18, hinting at his ability to post double-digit points with more opportunities. Sporting an ADP of RB28, this dual-threat talent shapes up as a solid RB2/Flex option with increased touches. Fantasy managers should monitor the Steelers’ draft moves closely—if they snag a top running back prospect, Warren’s ceiling could dip in Arthur Smith’s run-centric system, pushing his draft stock from mid-rounds (Rounds 6-7) to later rounds (Rounds 10+). Bucky Irving (RB) Tampa Bay Buccaneers Irving, finishing as RB13 in his rookie year, proved a fantasy steal for those who nabbed him with late-round picks. The former Oregon star racked up 1,122 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns, plus 47 catches for 392 yards, averaging 14.4 PPR points per game. Even with a carry split alongside Rachaad White (207 to 144), Irving shone brightest late in the fantasy season, ranking as RB6 from Week 12 to Week 18 with an 18.3-point average. Per Caleb Skinner of OnSI Tampa Bay, a potential trade of White could vault Irving into the top-5 fantasy running backs. That is despite Sean Tucker lurking on the depth chart. His dual-threat prowess makes him a dynasty league gem and a strong redraft target at his current RB10 ADP. The 2025 NFL season is underway, but it’s not too late to access the best help out there!
