Looking at an 11 game slate with hot weather and wind blowing out in most parks. Coors Field on the slate and it should be chalk with bad pitching on both sides. PITCHERS Aaron Nola Looks like Nola is back on track with 4 straight games allowing 1 run or less. In that time frame he posted 2 -10 k games . He has held righties in check this year and strikes them out at a 26% clip. The Nats usually run out 5-6 RHH’s, which is good news for Nola. Looking at 7 innings 2 ER and 8 Ks. Charlie Morton Morton just saw this Os team and went 7 stron lg innings and struck out 12 while only allowing 4 hits amen 1 ER. Highest price arm on the slate but in an excellent spot tonight and can be paired with Keller. Looking at 7 innings 2 ER and 10 Ks. VALUE ARM Brad Keller Keller has been better at home this year, minimizes HRs and better vs RHH’s. The Tigers are running out 5 RHH’s tonight and have not hit well vs rhp. He is a cheap option that should go 5-6 innings give up a few runs and strike out 5-6 batters. Jake Odorizzi Pitched well most of the year and price is down. Good time to take advantage of the low price. Nice K upside vs a mediocre team. TEAM/S LA Angels I was on the Angels last night vs Leake and they went off. I like them again tonight vs Wade LeBlanc who has allowed a 2.3 HRs/9 to LHHs and 1.8 to RHHs. As I stated yesterday Angels Stadium is one of the better parks for HRs and the Angels have some power upside now with a healthy lineup. *Trout, Upton, Pujols, Calhoun, Simmons Or Fletcher. Red Sox Sox bats face Ross Stripling who has allowed 8 runs and 3 HRs over his last 8 innings. They came out of the All Star break swinging hitting 3 HRs while scoring 8 runs. *Betts, Bogaerts and Martinez are my favorites with Devers and JBJ coming in next. Coors Field Yesterday with 2 solid pitchers I had little exposure to Coors. Today with Tanner Roark and Kyle Freeland on the mound I have a lot of interest. Roark has been solid vs RHH’s , but LHHs have been crushing him. *Blackmon, Dahl & Murphy are in play with Story and Arenado. Freeland was sent to the minors after a rough start and pasted a 8.80 ERA in 6 starts. *Sentzel, Suarez, Puig with Irvin, Casali and Peraza as value bats. SD Padres- low ownership HR upside. Padres disappointed last night vs Kuechal, but I am going right back to them tonight vs Teheran. This year Teheran has been worse on the road and allows power vs RHH’s. The Padres have 3 RHH’s with power upside- Machado, Renfroe, Reyes, Tatis. Renfroe, Reyes and Tatis all have over .300 ISO vs RHP. Hosmer and Reyes have the BvP. Fireworks tonight in SD with at least 3 bombs. *Reyes, Hosmer, Renfroe favorites with Machado and Myers next FAVORITE BATS C Matt Weiters- value- Hot bat Curt Casali- value Jason Castro 1B Brandon Belt Daniel Murphy Daniel Vogelbach 2B Keston Huira Jason Kipnis Whit Merrifield 3B Geno Suarez Rafael Devers Jake Lamb- value SS Xander Bogaerts Trevor Story Dansby Swanson Paul DeJong- value OF Max Kepler Charlie Blackmon Mike Trout Mookie Betts Tier 2 George Springer JD Martinez Nick Sentzel David Dahl VALUE BATS Juston Upton- Lock vs LHP JBJ Philip Ervin- cheap Coors with power vs LHP. We are back from the All-Star break with a 13 game slate. With 26 teams we have a lot of options. Listed below are my favorites. Weather Hot in most games and looks like all will play today. PITCHERS Gerritt Cole Cole has an insane 36% K rate to go along with the Rangers high 28% K rate. Good spot, but in a nice hitters park with some hot weather. If I was paying up this would be the spot. Listed a few lower price I like tonight. Mike Fiers Fiers has pitched well as of late going 6 or more innings in 8 straight games . He has allowed 1 ER in 4 straight games and no more than 3 ERs in this timeframe. At home this years Fiers has a 2.91 ERA and minimized HRs to under 1 per 9. The White Sox come to town with a 27% K rate and the 4th lowest HRs vs RHP over the past 30 days. Looking at 6-7 innings 1 ER and 6 Ks. VALUE ARM Danny Duffy Duffy faced this Tigers team earlier this year going 7 strong innings allowing 4 hits and 2 ERs while Striking out 7 batters. He does a good job at limiting RHH’s to a .245 average and has a solid K rate. I can see him posting similar stats at home vs this RHH’s Tigers team. They have not faired well vs LHP his year posting a .240 average and a 27% K rate. Chase Anderson Anderson is a reverse splits pitcher and he faces a Giants team that should have 5-6 lefties starting. The RHH’s on the Giants are not very good vs RHP. This is a solid K spot for Anderson tonight with his 24% vs both sides of the plate. Looking at 6 innings 2 ERs and 6-7Ks. TEAM/S LA Angels Angels are at home tonight and face Mike Leake who has allowed 23 HRs (2nd most) so far this year with 19 of them coming on the road. On the road this year Leake also has a 5.09 ERA with that insane 2.76 HRs/9. The Angels are in a good spot tonight vs Leake with some nice weather and in a HR friendly park (Angel Stadium has allowed the 6th most HRs so far this year). Mike Trout. Justin Upton, Shohei Ohtani are all in good spots with Andrelton Simmons & Justin Bour right behind. Milwaukee Brewers The Brewers face Shaun Anderson tonight at home. Amdeson comes in with a low K rate vs LHHs with a 41 % HC rate. This won’t go over well vs the left handed heavy Brewers. Grandal, Yelich, Moustakas, Thames, Hiura all over .200 ISO vs RHP. Brewers are a better team at home. Value– Arcia SD Padres RHHs Padres face Dallas Kuechel who has a very low K rate vs RHH’s along with a .349 wOBA. Good spot for the Padres Machado, Renfroe and Reyes. Kinsler in play if he makes the lineup. Renfore absolutely destroys sinkers and Keuchel has thrown it over 80% of the time. Seeeeeee yaaaa. *Yankees are in a good spot and should be chalk along some of the Coors bats. I like of few bats from here- Hicks, Gregarious my 2 favorites with Judge and Gardner coming in next. **Coors Field Two solid pitchers going today, so I will have limited exposure Favorite Bats- Gennett, Sentzel, Winker (CIN), Blackmon (COL). FAVORITE BATS CATCHER Yasmani Grandal Travis d’Arnaud Alex Avila FIRST BASE Daniel Vogelbach Eric Thames Jake Bauers SECOND BASE Max Muncy- ERod has allowed close to 3 HRs/9 to LHHs. Muncy hits well vs lefties. Belli, Muncy and Seager in play. Ketel Marte Mike Moustakas Keston Huira THIRD BASE Rafael Devers Manny Machado JD Davis SHORTSTOP Didi Gregarious Corey Seager Freddy Galvis OUTFIELD Hunter Renfroe-HR with double dong potential Cody Bellinger Max Kepler Mike Trout/Christian Yelich Aaron Judge/Aaron Hicks Austin Meadows Michael Brantley/George Springer VALUE BATS Justin Upton-OF Jason Kipnis-2B Brett Gardner-OF Kevin Kiermaier-OF Nate Lowe-1B Jake Lamb-1B/3B Kiki Hernandez-2B/OF Curt Casali-C Myles Straw-SS Tyler White- 1B Excellent spot tonight
The Cycle 7/7

The Staff Nola – He’s been practically unhittable in his last 3 starts. 28 strikeouts, 3 quality starts and 23 innings. He’s been much better at home with a 2.85 era to go along with a 27.5% k rate. Over the last 30 days he’s given up a 1.71 BA and has induced 50% of the balls in play on the ground. Mahle – He probably won’t get the win, and will give up a homer to Lindor and Santana but Mahle does have some nice strikeout upside today against this Cleveland team. At home he owns a 3.24 era and close to a 29% k rate. He also has a 10% lead homerun/flyball rate at home as well. Keuchel – Miami’s lineup is one of the worst I’ve seen them put out all year. They have close to a 30% k rate over the last 14 days against LHP and just 3 homers. Now, they have hit the ball hard with a 43% hard contact but they’ve also hit the ball on the ground around 49% during that time. Others I like but little exposure Price Thornton The Bats Pittsburgh – I wish they had more righties in this lineup with Anderson being reverse splits. Still a good spot for them as a team who can explode on anyone. Washington – This is more of a small stack for me with Turner and Rendon. You can add Soto to get a lefty bat against Junis. Toronto – The 2 Jr’s and little Biggio. Minnesota – Favorite stack today left for last on the list. LeClerc is starting and it looks like LHP Palumbo should follow. Palumbo is a guy who struggles against righties so check off the Cruz homer today. The sneaky play is Garver who’s hitting .367 against LHP with 5 homers and .444 with 2 homers over the last 14 days against the split.
