MLB DFS Fastballs and Flyballs 8/29/2019
6 game slate giving you 2 of my favorite pitchers with a few teams and value bats tonight. PITCHERS Pitchers stats over last 30 days Jacob deGrom The Cubs put up over 10 runs last night in Thor, but I don’t see them doing that tonight vs deGrom who is a better pitcher. Pitching very well as of late with a 1.35 ERA and 44 Ks over 33 innings in the last 30 days. The Cubs current lineup has a 25% K rate and could see deGrom go 7 innings with 9-10Ks and 1 run. The Marlins value bats pair well with deGrom tonight. Casteo, Alfalo, Dean & Bronson my favorite for the price. VALUE ARM Dereck Rodriquez Rodriquez is the best of the value arms tonight. I don’t see Hernandez doing well in Texas and the other 2 arms are in Coora. The Padres are ice cold right now and Rodriquez should do well be them tonight at home. Looking at 6 innings 6 Ks and a run or two. TEAM/S Coors Field Pirates vs Rockies with 2 bums on the mound. Bats are priced up as expected and will use a few from each team. Pirates- Bell is starting to heat up and Chi Chi no good vs LHHs. Reynolds and Moran Rockies- Blackmon should destroy Williams tonight along with Arenado and McMahon. ARI Diamondbacks vs Ryu- low ownership Ryu has allowed 15 hits, 7 runs , 5 HRs and HC% up 15% to 50% over his last 2 games. 5 of the DBacks hitters have an ISO over .200 with 2 over .300 and a few others just shy of the .200 mark. Price has come down on most of the hitters making them easier to play. Marte(listed DTD) Escobar are both in very good spots with Flores, Ahmed & Kelly in good spots as well and make good value plays. Kyle Seager & Daniel Vogelbach Seager has been swinging a hot bat as of late. Lynn has been a bit off lately and shows struggles vs LHHs. Also, Seager and Vogelbach destroys the fastball. Lynn throws it over 50% off the time. High 90s tonight in Texas. Mets vs Lester McNeil, Davis, Alonso & Rosario all matchup well vs Lester. They will do the damage tonight. Lester has been pretty bad as of late and the Mets are hitting close to .300 over the last 14 days vs LHP. VALUE BATS Like the Marlins bats vs Wood Starlin Castro- hitting well as of late with a 78% HC. Hits well vs LHP. Wood 2.4 HRs/0 to RHHs. Castro/Alfaro value Lock. MLB DFS Fastballs & Flyballs 8/27/2019
Today we are looking at a 15 game slate with some solid high price pitcher, Coors Field and some other good hitters spots. Listed in this article are my favorite pitchers long with some teams and value bats. PITCHERS Pitcher stats for last 30 days Walker Buehler Buehler picks up and excellent matchup tonight vs the Padres who have been cold as of late vs RHP. Over the past 14 days they have only hit .178 with a 29% K rate. Earlier this month Buehler faces them when Tatis was in the lineup and went 9 innings allowing 1 ER and striking it 15 hitters. I can see him going 7 innings allowing a run and striking out 10-12 tonight. Also consider: Luis Castillo vs the Marlins & Andrew Heaney vs the Rangers. VALUE ARM Adrian Houser With 3 solid games in a row and he gets a price drop. He just went 5 innings vs the Cardinals and allowed 1 ER and 6 Ks. Houser has been a bit better at home this year and has a 25% K rate to hitters from both sides of the plate. Prefer Houser over Smyly and most others in his price range. Looking at 6 innings 2 ERs and 7 Ks. Also consider: Adam Plutko vs the Tigers. TEAM/S Coors Field Red Sox vs Rockies -The Red Sox face Rico Garcia who pitched in both AA & AAA this year. He pitched well in AA, but had over a 7 ERA and 13 HRs given up in 55 innings. My favorite bat is Jackie Bradley Jr. coming in to Coors at 4.2K on DK and hitting the ball well as of late (71% HC over the past 7 days). Could see his 2nd double dong game of the year. Also, JD Martinez, Moreland and Devers have been hitting well as of late. *JBJ, Devers, Martinez, Betts, Bogaerts, Moreland -Rockies face Rick Porcello who has been an absolute disaster this year. Porcello has been worse on the road this year allowing a 2.3 HRs/9, 42 % HC and 45% FB rate. The Rockies will tee off against him tonight. *Blackmon is my favorite with elite numbers at home and matches up very well vs Porcello’s pitch type. Arenado is hitting the ball well right now along with Story and Murphy. *Blackmon, Arenado,Story, McMahon, Murphy in order of preference. Oakland As vs Mike Montgomery Last night the As went off vs Keller and the Royals staff got 19 runs. Tonight they get another good matchup vs Montgomery. He has been really bad vLHHs allowing a .549 wOBA and 49% HC rate and .349 wOBA and 39% HC vRHHs with power to both sides. Matt Olson is my favorite play from the As tonight. Montgomery throws mostly sinkers and curveballs. Semien, Canha, Chapman and Phegley hit the sinker well and Davis, Profar and Olson hit the curve well. *Olson, Chapman, Canha & Semien *Phegley, Davis and Grossman for value. Grossman hits better vs LHP. New York Yankees vs Yusei Kikuchi Kikuchi pitches well last game vs the Blue Jays, but has been a mess most of the year. Allowed 31 HRs on the year with the 4th most. 2.5 HRs/9 to LHHs and 2.0 to RHH’s. Yankees bats have been heating up Mike Ford hitting the ball well. Mike Tauchman hits LvL well. Judge and Torres hitting the ball well. * Ford, Tauchman, Judge, LeMahuie, Torres *Yelich/Thames/Spangenburg- Mikolas much worse on road and vs LHHs. **Low ownership- Bell/Ozuna/Moran Hottest hitter last 7 games VALUE BATS Corey Spangenberg Mike Ford- LvL crushes LHP and Kikuchi allows 2.5 HRs/9 to LHHs. Ford 3 HRs last 2 games. Josh Phegley Robbie Grossman/Khris Davis Dansby Swanson Jason Kipnis Roberto Perez
