Click below to find out more. But first, let’s break down the NFL Division Round Game Picks. Jacksonville Jaguars at Kansas City Chiefs (-8.5) Jacksonville has won six straight games but that streak is very likely to end on Saturday. The Jaguars are the biggest underdogs in the Division Round and have the unenviable task of traveling on a short week to take on the well-rest Chiefs. Prior to losing the AFC Championship last January to the Bengals, Kansas City had won seven straight postseason games at Arrowhead. Overall, the Chiefs have won their last five but things haven’t always been easy. The Chiefs were just 7-10 ATS in the regular season and 3-5 at home. Although the Chiefs have a potent offense and a defense that gives up plenty of points, the under has hit five of the last six home games. The Chiefs have won six straight the Jags, but the total has gone under in four of those games. This is a tough spot for the Jags. Jacksonville has only won four of its last 25 road games. Worse, they’ll have to deal with the elements at Arrowhead, where the Jags have dropped four straight by an average score of 30-16. Also, the over hit in just one of the last five games in KC between these two squads. PICK: UNDER 53 New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles (-7.5) This will be the third matchup in a month for these two NFC East rivals. Philadelphia won both regular-season tilts, but New York hung tough in a meaningless Week 18 showing at Lincoln Financial Field. Playing in the City of Brotherly Love has been difficult for the Giants. New York hasn’t won in Philadelphia since 2013. Jalen Hurts should be fully healthy, which makes a big difference for the Eagles. Having Hurts absent or limited has hurt Philly. The Eagles are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five. Interestingly, the Eagles have won 18 of their last 20 games outright as favorites. However, Philadelphia has dropped four straight as playoff favorites. Fun Fact: The Giants are 6-0 all-time versus No. 1 seeds dating back to 1990. Pulling postseason upsets and covers is nothing new for the G-Men. New York has covered 10 of their last 11 games as playoff underdogs and outright won 8-of-9 as dogs. Also, the Giants are an NFL-best 14-4 against the spread this season. Division rematches in the playoffs also tend to favor the underdog. Plus, we’re getting more than a touchdown. PICK: Giants +7.5 Cincinnati Bengals at Buffalo Bills (-5.5) Emotions will be high in this one. Cincinnati was leading Buffalo and driving before the Damar Hamlin injury ultimately stopped play. The Bengals feel like this game should be played in Cincinnati. Meanwhile, the Bills want to shake off a rusty Wild Card performance and prove this game is rightfully being played in Orchard Park. These two AFC powers have evenly split their last eight meetings. The Bills have won eight consecutive games and enter this game 14-3 overall. However, the Bills were a middling 8-8-1 ATS, including 4-5 versus the number at home. Buffalo has only covered the number twice in their last seven at Highmark Stadium. But, scoring hasn’t been an issue. The over has hit in five of Buffalo’s last six home contests. Plus, the Bills have won 7 of their last 9 home games against the Bengals, with the total going over seven times. At 12-5 against the number, Cincinnati boasts the second-best ATS record in the NFL. Overall, the Bengals have won nine straight games and covered the spread in seven of their last eight away games. Plenty of points have been scored in this series, as well. Weather doesn’t appear to be much of a factor on Sunday, so Joe Burrow should be able to keep pace with Buffalo’s potent offense. PICK: Bengals +5.5 Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers (-4) Some of the most memorable NFC playoff games in history were between the Cowboys and the 49ers. This will be a record-tying ninth postseason meeting between San Francisco and Dallas. The Niners knocked off the Cowboys in the opening round one year ago. This time, Dallas is on the road and has to contend with a 49ers squad that has won a league-best 11 consecutive games. San Francisco’s last loss was in Week 7. Since then, QB Brock Purdy has taken over and helped spark the offense. The 49ers have scored 33-plus points in six of their last seven games. The over has hit in 6-of-7 and the Niners have covered the spread in eight of their last nine games. But, things haven’t been easy when playing the Cowboys. Dallas has gone 6-2 straight up against San Francisco and 1-5 in their last six at home. Dallas has been one of the best road teams in the NFL over the past two seasons. The Cowboys went 5-4 ATS on the road in 2022 and were 8-1 in 2021. While San Francisco has the league’s top defense, Dallas has the kind of balanced offense that can try to establish the run or challenge a secondary that surrendered the fifth-most fantasy points to wide receivers. Dallas has gone 7-3 (5-3-2) vs. San Francisco since 2001 and should be able to keep this one a one-possession game. PICK: Dallas +4

Fantasy Football Injury Rundown
After a three-day Wild-Card weekend, we’re down to the final four in each conference. This weekend’s Division Round offers some intriguing matchups. However, some key injuries are sure to make an impact on the field and in fantasy lineups. Our Fantasy Football Injury Rundown breaks down all the injuries you’ll need to know before you finalize your playoff lineups. Speaking of Fantasy Football Playoff Leagues, there’s still time to enter a Division Round Best ball Draft. Also, somebody is going to win a trip to Maui by simply having the highest two-week best ball run. That could be you! Next, let’s get to the fantasy football injury rundown. Jalen Hurts (QB) Philadelphia Eagles – Now more than a month since Hurts injured his shoulder, all indications are that Hurts is fully healthy. The SC joint that Hurts injured should no longer impact his throwing or running. Before that injury, Hurts and the Eagles dispatched the Giants 48-22 back in Week 14. Trevor Lawrence (QB) Jacksonville Jaguars – Lawrence is listed as limited with a toe injury. However, this issue has lingered for weeks but has not hampered Lawrence on the field. Lawrence should be good to go as the Jags are big underdogs in Kansas City. Isaiah McKenzie (WR) Buffalo Bills – McKenzie hurt his hamstring prior to last week and missed Buffalo’s win. However, McKenzie returned to practice in full Wednesday. Expect McKenzie to return to action versus Cincinnati. Isaiah Hodgins (WR) New York Giants – Similar to last week, Hodgins has been limited in practice with an ankle injury. Hodgins played through the ailment last week and had a dominant game. This is a non-issue. Also, Hodgins found the end-zone against Philadelphia in Week 14. We view Hodgins as a solid WR3 in this slate. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB) Kansas City Chiefs – Kansas City’s backfield should be reinforced just in time for the postseason. Edwards-Helaire has been out since Week 11 with a high-ankle sprain but returned to practice Tuesday. CEH dominated touches in the opening month of the season. But, as things progressed, Jerrick McKinnon and Isiah Pacheco emerged as bigger parts of the offense. It’s hard to pinpoint how much of a role Edwards-Helaire will have in the Division Round. Mecole Hardman (WR) Kansas City Chiefs – Out since Week 9, Hardman is looking unlikely for the Division Round. Andy Reid told the media that Hardman’s core injury recovery isn’t where it needs to be. This makes it highly unlikely that Hardman will play this week. The #Chiefs say that WR Mecole Hardman is out of practice again on Wednesday. DE Frank Clark, who was limited on Tuesday, is expected to do more on Wednesday. Both IR players, RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire and TE Jody Fortson, did “well” on Tuesday and are expected to work Wednesday. — Pete Sweeney (@pgsween) January 18, 2023 Skyy Moore (WR) Kansas City Chiefs – The rookie wideout missed the regular-season finale with a hand injury but was cleared to practice without restrictions. However, Moore played fewer than 20% of Kansas City’s snaps this season and had single-digit receiving yards in seven of his final 10 games. Moore is nothing more than a cheap DFS option this week. Jamal Agnew (WR) Jacksonville Jaguars – Agnew was listed as limited with a shoulder ailment. He played through the same injury last week, so it doesn’t appear to be much of a concern. However, Agnew’s 12.5% snap rate is. Maui Madness Playoff Pick’Em — ($25 or a 5-pack for $100) Maui Madness is still accepting entries up until Conference Championship Weekend as the contest takes your highest two weekly scores to determine the winner. While most fantasy football leagues have already concluded, that does not mean the fun is over. In fact, the best is yet to come for one skilled fantasy player! Click below to find out more. But first, let’s break down the NFL Wild Card Game Picks. Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers (-9.5) The Seahawks limped into the NFC’s final postseason spot. Their reward: a road matchup against the hottest team in football. San Francisco has won 10 games in a row. Plus, the Niners swept the Seahawks during the regular season. That sweep was a surprise to some as Seattle had dominated San Francisco in recent years. QB Geno Smith could very well be the Comeback Player of the Year. However, this is a poor spot for a struggling team. Brock Purdy has looked fantastic since taking over under center for the 49ers. San Fran is 7-1 against the spread in their last eight. Meanwhile, Seattle has the opposite record, 1-7 ATS. Also, San Francisco has won five straight at home by an average score of 16 points. PICK: San Francisco -9.5 (WIN) Los Angeles Chargers at Jacksonville Jaguars (+2.5) This will be the first playoff game for many of the players in this AFC Wild Card showdown. That can make things difficult to handicap. The Chargers won four of their last five to make the tournament. Also, they were 4-0-1 against the spread down the stretch. LA should have a sight advantage with QB Justin Herbert but will be without WR Mike Williams. Also, traveling east can cause issues for west-coast squads. Meanwhile, the Jags have a lot of momentum. Jacksonville won their final five contests to surge into the postseason for the first time since 2017. Undoubtedly, Doug Pederson‘s postseason experience could be a big advantage. Plus, the Jaguars have a league-high seven games as underdogs in 2022. PICK: Jaguars +2.5 (WIN) Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills (-13.5) There is no doubt where the momentum lies here. The Bills have looked like the best team in football at times and are extra motivated to play for Damar Hamlin. Meanwhile, Miami cratered down the stretch and is forced to trot out their third-string quarterback in a hostile environment. Plus, it will be 25 degrees at Orchard Park. That hasn’t been a good situation for the Dolphins. Seventh-round rookie QB Skylar Thompson attempted 10-plus passes in four games. In all, he tossed one touchdown and three interceptions. Also, the Dolphins have dropped 8-of-9 to Buffalo and are 3-7-1 ATS at Highmark Stadium It’s hard not to root for Josh Allen and company. The Bills Mafia might be the most passionate fan base in sports and will certainly play a factor Saturday. Buffalo has won 11-of-12 at home and dominated the Dolphins. The over has been hot in this series and it feels like the Bills could approach that number themselves. PICK: OVER 43.5 (WIN) New York Giants at Minnesota Vikings (-3) Sunday’s opener might be the most difficult game to pick. By looking at their 13-4 record, the Vikings should be big favorites. Instead, Vegas is telling us these teams are practically even. It feels like the house is begging us to take Minnesota. Conversely, the Giants didn’t exactly dominate down the stretch. However, the Giants were a very good spread team, covering six of their final seven games. New York went 1-4 overall in their last five road games but, oddly, were 7-1 ATS on the road. The Vikings were the opposite. Minnesota has won 9-of-10 at U.S. Bank Stadium but covered in just one of their last five. The Giants have the advantage defensively, and that might be just enough to keep them in this game late. PICK: Giants +3 (WIN) Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals (-8.5) On initial look, this looks like a trap. The Ravens may be down to third-string QB Anthony Brown and are playing a second-consecutive game in Cincinnati. Meanwhile, the defending AFC champions were 12-4 both straight up and against the spread. It feels like the Bengals should be favored by double-digits. So what gives? Baltimore has fared quite well against the Bengals. The Ravens are 6-3 in their last nine versus Cincinnati. Baltimore has a dominant rushing attack but without Lamar Jackson and facing the league’s No. 7 run D will be a problem. If Tyler Huntley is under center, things improve, But, points will be at a premium. Meanwhile, the Bengals have covered five of their last six at home. QB Joe Burrow shouldn’t have issues facing a Baltimore pass defense that ranked 26th. But the Ravens will likely try to slow things down and that and the under has hit in 5-of-6 Baltimore games and 6-of-9 Bengals’ games at home. PICK: UNDER 42 (WIN) Dallas Cowboys at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+3) The Monday night capper should be a great one. America’s hated team travels to Tampa to face the GOAT. The Buccaneers struggled all season and limp into the playoffs with an 8-9 record. Can Tom Brady make one final postseason run as an underdog? As bad as the Bucs were straight up, they were worst against the number. Tampa was a pathetic 4-12-1 ATS and just 2-6-1 at home. Tampa also has some injury concerns up front, which is bad news against a Dallas defense that ranked 2nd in sack rate. Dallas appears to have the advantage on both sides of the ball. The Cowboys have also been excellent on the road and have won 10 of their last 12 games on Monday night. However, Dallas has only covered the
Fantasy Football Injury Rundown
The NFL playoffs are here, but plenty of injuries will still impact this weekend’s action. If anything, injuries now have an even bigger impact. Lamar Jackson (QB) Baltimore Ravens – Jackson has yet to resume practicing and has all but been ruled out. Injured initially in Week 13, Jackson hasn’t been close to returning or seen practicing in six weeks. Also, backup Tyler Huntley (wrist) has been limited. If Huntley cannot go, Anthony Brown will get a rematch with the Bengals this week. Tua Tagovailoa (QB) Miami Dolphins – Head coach Mike McCoy indicated that Tagovailoa has still not cleared concussion protocol. McCoy also ruled Tagovailoa out for Miami’s wild-card matchup. Teddy Bridgewater (finger) is also expected to be sidelined. That puts rookie Skylar Thompson in line to start against a surging Buffalo squad. It has been a decade since a first-year quarterback has won a playoff game. Raheem Mostert (RB) Miami Dolphins – Mostert fractured his thumb in Miami’s finale and is questionable to play on Sunday. Even with a cast, it is hard to see a running back contributing with a broken thumb. Should Mostert sit, Jeff Wilson would be slated for a lot of touches against Buffalo. Mike Williams (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – Williams exited Week 18 with a back injury that looked worrisome. He has yet to practice this week. Los Angeles also has to travel to Jacksonville for Saturday’s game. This gives Williams less time to recover. Conversely, it is looking like Williams is unlikely to play in the wild-card round. Kenneth Walker (RB) Seattle Seahawks – Walker (ankle)did not practice Wednesday. However, this appears to be a routine rest day for the rookie. Walker has racked up three consecutive games with 23-plus rushes and 100-plus rushing yards. Jaylen Waddle (WR) Miami Dolphins – Another issue for the banged-up Dolphins. Waddle (ankle) was limited in practice. However, local media seem to think the limited tag was simply a precaution. Waddle is fully expected to suit up on Sunday. Gus Edward (RB) Baltimore Ravens – Edwards exited Week 18 early and is still in the league’s concussion protocol. It is looking unlikely that Edwards will be able to play this week. That puts JK Dobbins in a position to see a lot of work for the injury-ravaged Ravens. Tee Higgins (WR) Cincinnati Bengals – Higgins sat out Wednesday’s practice with an undisclosed illness. Currently, there doesn’t seem to be any concern about Higgins’ Week 19 status because he is not injured. Trevor Lawrence (QB) Jacksonville Jaguars – The Jaguars listed QB Trevor Lawrence as limited with a toe injury. However, Lawrence played through the ailment last week without issue. Noah Fant (TE) Seattle Seahawks – Seattle’s starting tight end was once again limited in practice by a knee injury. This has been commonplace for Fant, who has yet to miss a game. Finally, Fant played over 64% of Seattle’s snaps last week and should be good to go versus San Francisco. Our fantasy playoffs challenge is live! Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 18
The vast majority of fantasy football leagues have concluded. However, there are a few holdouts that play into the final week. For those still active, our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 18 can help navigate the most difficult slate of the season. Editor’s note: This article is written by Bradley Stalder. QUARTERBACKS Start ‘Em Sam Darnold (Carolina Panthers) The Panthers may have been eliminated from the playoffs last week with a loss to the Tampa Buccaneers, but that doesn’t mean they won’t play their hearts out in Week 18 against the Colts. Darnold has played well as of late, finishing as the QB8 and QB6 each of the last two weeks. He’s thrown 7 TDs and only 1 INT on the season. The Panthers have a 26% PFF Pass Block projected advantage over the New Orleans Saints. Darnold is on the streaming radar for Week 18. Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) This is a must-win game for the Packers, as their fate rides in the hands of Aaron Rodgers. The last time Rodgers played the Lions, he set a season-high with 291 passing yards and tied for his 3rd best weekly finish on the season. The Packers have a 20% PFF Pass Block projected advantage over the Detroit Lions. Also, David Bakhtiari practiced on Wednesday, which bodes well for his availability in Week 18. Sit ‘Em Mike White (New York Jets) The Jets were eliminated with a loss last week. White is still suffering from the ribs injury that cost him two games earlier in the season. Now he’s limited in practice and questionable. White threw for his fewest yards on the season and had his worst weekly finish at QB31. That, and along with a Miami defensive line projected to have a 46% Pass Block advantage over the New York Jets, it could be ugly as Miami needs to win and needs the Patriots to lose to make the playoffs. Daniel Jones (New York Giants) The Giants have zero playoff motivation to win this game. They are locked into the 6th seed, and while a divisional win would be nice, depriving the Eagles of a 1st round bye may not be worth it come the 2nd half of the game. The Eagles are going all-out to win, and have a 33% projected Pass Block advantage over the Giants’ offensive line. It could get ugly quickly. UPDATE: Reports out of New York are that Tyrod Taylor has a good chance to start. Finding an alternative to Jones is imperative. RUNNING BACKS Start ‘Em Tyler Allgeier (Atlanta Falcons) Allgeier needs exactly 100 yards to get to 1,000 rushing yards this season. And he has a chance to do it on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While Allgeier only went 13-45 the last time the Bucs and Falcons matched up, the Bucs give up 117 rush yards per game. The Falcons have a projected 53% Run Block advantage over Tampa’s defensive line per PFF, and the Bucs have nothing to play for as they are locked into the 4-seed in the NFC. Since Week 13, Tyler Allgeier has posted the highest PFF RUN grade among all running backs. Jamaal Williams (Detroit Lions) For the Lions to make the playoffs, the Seahawks must lose and the Lions must defeat the Packers on Sunday night. Enter Jamaal Williams’ revenge game. Williams is coming fresh off a monster game: 22-144-1 and caught his only target for 13 yards. His RB4 finish on the week tied for his best weekly finish this season. And Williams will get room to run against the Packers, as Green Bay allows over 140 rush yards per game, 7th worst in the league. Finally, the Lions’ OL also projects to have a 34% Run Block advantage over the Packers. Sit ‘Em Travis Etienne (Jacksonville Jaguars) Etienne has posted three straight games over 100 scrimmage yards. Why fade in a must-win game for Jacksonville? Tennessee has allowed the 2nd fewest rushing yards to opponents this season and has only allowed 77 rush yards per game over the last 3 games. Even worse, this game is in Jacksonville, and Tennessee allows only 62.4 rush yards per game on the road. PFF projects a 63% Run Block advantage for the Titans over the Jaguars. And we’ve seen this before. Etienne rushed 17 times in Week 14 against the Titans but only mustered 32 yards at a 1.88-yards-per-carry clip. James Conner (Arizona Cardinals) Conner left the Week 17 game against the Falcons early, playing his fewest snaps since Week 5. He’s sat out of practice all week so far and doesn’t look like he’s trending to play. Even if he were to play, Conner faces a San Francisco 49ers team that needs to win for a chance at a #1 Seed in the NFC. The last time Conner faced the 49ers, he went 14-42-1 on the ground and 2-17 receiving. Not to mention the 49ers allow the fewest rush yards to opponents on the season. WIDE RECEIVERS Start ‘Em Brandon Aiyuk (San Francisco 49ers) Aiyuk seems to have found his chemistry with Brock Purdy. In Purdy’s first three games, Aiyuk went 9-157-1 on 14 targets. In the Week 17 game against Las Vegas, Aiyuk caught 9 passes for 101 yards and a TD on 12 targets and sprinkled in a rush for 16 yards. It was Aiyuk’s first 100-yard receiving game of the season. Aiyuk projects to line up most of his snaps across from Jace Whittaker, who has allowed a crisp 69% of his yards after the catch– a Shanahan specialty. Arizona allows the 8th most passing yards on the year and look to be without Budda Baker in Week 18. Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 18
The final week of the NFL season is turbulent and difficult to project. That’s why the vast majority of fantasy leagues have already concluded. Still, a few savages keep the fun going all the way to the bitter end. If that’s you, our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 18 can help navigate the madness. With only two of the 14 postseason berths up for grabs, plenty of teams have little to play for in Week 18. That’s what makes this slate so difficult to project. Backups, snap counts, and conservative play-calling are just some of the factors that can wreak havoc on fantasy lineups. However, the point of this great hobby is having fun. So, if you’re still playing this week, here are some Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 18 players to consider. FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget Zack Moss (RB) Indianapolis Colts – Moss has taken over as the Colts’ main running back. This week, the Colts conclude a disappointing 2022 campaign at home against Houston’s league-worst run defense. If Moss is somehow available, he offers RB1 upside in Week 18. Tyquan Thornton (WR) New England – Thornton has surpassed an 88% snap rate in New England’s last four contests. Sunday, Thornton saw a season-high 7 targets and secured his second TD grab. New England will be going all out to win in Week 18, so Thornton should once again get plenty of opportunities. Matt Breida (RB) New York Giants – The Giants are locked into a playoff spot and have little at stake this week. There is a very good chance Brian Daboll rests his starters. That would put Breida in a good position to rack up plenty of touches. Alexander Mattison (RB) Minnesota Vikings – It’s also possible the Vikings rest starters. If Dalvin Cook sits, Mattison will be a hot commodity. Mattison has thrived in a featured role and the Vikings are essentially locked into a home playoff game next week. Rashid Shaheed (WR) New Orleans Saints – Shaheed has been the Saints’ top wideout for a month. Last week’s career-high 6 targets led to 79 yards. Shaheed has now topped 50 yards in 5-of-6 games. Up next, the Saints host a Carolina defense that has allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing wideouts. Greg Dortch (WR) Arizona Cardinals – Dortch has surpassed double-digit targets in three consecutive games. In Week 18, the Cardinals are big underdogs to San Francisco. That should be another recipe for plenty of passing and targets for Dortch. Joshua Kelley (RB) Los Angeles Chargers – Like the Giants, Los Angeles is already in the postseason tournament. That could lead to more opportunities for Kelley out of the backfield. Kelley has been quite effective all season. If it were announced that Austin Ekeler was to sit Week 18, Kelley would offer solid RB2 potential. Robert Woods (WR) Tennessee Titans – This is a de facto playoff game for the Titans. Woods led Tennessee in targets (9), and snaps (48) last Thursday. Jacksonville has also allowed the 13th most fantasy points to wide receivers. That puts Woods on the FLEX radar this week. Royce Freeman (RB) Houston Texans – Freeman again led Houston’s backfield in snaps (30.) However, Freeman hasn’t been particularly effective, averaging under 3 yards per carry in back-to-back tilts. That said, Freeman looks like a good bet for double-digit touches in a meaningless game in Indy. Colby Parkinson (TE) Seattle Seahawks – Stepping in for Will Dissly, Parkinson led Seattle’s right ends with an impressive 81% snap rate last week. Also, Parkinson hauled in 5-of-7 targets for 36 yards and a score. The Seahawks still have a shot at the playoffs and wrap up the regular season at home against the Rams. Corey Clement (RB) Arizona Cardinals – If James Conner (shin) misses Week 18, Clement will step in to take the majority of snaps for Arizona. However, Arizona does travel to San Francisco, so it’s a tough match. Still, opportunity is the name of the game. Chase Edmonds (RB) Denver Broncos – With Marlon Mack (hamstring) out, Edmonds logged a season-best 59% snap share versus the Chiefs. Edmonds also turned 10 touches into 73 yards. This is the second game in a row that Edmonds has surpassed 50 scrimmage yards since returning from IR. A meaningless finale against the Chargers could lead to another solid outing for Edmonds. DeeJay Dallas (RB) Seattle Seahawks – A week after accumulating 8 touches, Dallas played 38% of Seattle’s snaps. Dallas also turned 10 touches in 98 yards of offense in a must-win game. If that formula continues, Dallas offers RB3/4 values against a Rams’ defense that is ailing. Tyler Conklin (TE) New York Jets – The return of Mike White at QB paid immediate dividends for Conklin. This week, Conklin and the Jets conclude the season against a Miami defense that has yielded the third most fantasy points to tight ends. Jarrett Stidham (QB) Las Vegas Raiders – Stidham’s dismantling of the NFL’s top defense was one of the most surprising results from a wild Week 17. The 2019 fourth-rounder threw for 365 yards and three scores in the loss. He also tossed a pair of picks but far exceeded expectations. This week, Stidham gets a Kansas City defense that’s allowed the third-most fantasy points to QBs. Josh Dobbs (QB) Tennessee Titans – After his sold showing on Thursday, Dobbs was named Tennessee’s starter for the all-important finale. The winner of this game will host a playoff game next week so expect both squads to go all out. Sam Darnold (QB) Carolina Panthers – Over the past three weeks, Darnold has posted QB1 numbers. During the stretch, Darnold has produced four touchdowns and no interceptions. He’ll be on the streaming radar this week in New Orleans. Indianapolis Colts (DST) – The Texans haven’t totaled 300 yards of offense in three weeks or surpassed 215 passing yards since Week 10. Indianapolis should be able to end the Jeff Saturday experiment with a home win, making the Colts a stolid streaming option. Also, check out our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds Week 17 or more
Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 17
The 2022 fantasy football playoffs are here with many leagues in the championship round this week. The must-win games are here. Our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 17 picks help you identify values to target and fades to avoid It is also crucial to know which waiver wire picks to make and to stay up-to-date on the injury report. Let’s take a look at some players to target or fade in the Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Week 17. Editor’s note: This article is written by Bradley Stalder. QUARTERBACKS Start ‘Em Jared Goff (Detroit Lions) Jared Goff is a must-start in your championship week. He’s been the hottest quarterback as of late, finishing as a top-4 QB in three of the last four weeks. Much is made about Goff’s home-road splits, where Goff has finished with 17+ fantasy points at home in seven of eight games. The Bears have the worst defense DVOA in the NFL and the fewest defensive sacks in the NFL. In a dome, at home with the highest projected game total this week, Goff has the weapons in Amon-Ra St. Brown, DJ Chark, and D’Andre Swift to drub the Bears. Gardner Minshew (Philadelphia Eagles) In his spot start in Week 16, Minshew finished as the QB5 on the week. Last Sunday, Minshew threw 2 TDs, rushed for another, and passed for 355 yards on 24 completions. A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith crushed even with Dallas Goedert returning from injured reserve. The Eagles are 6.5-point favorites in this home game against the New Orleans Saints. Minshew is on the streaming radar as long as Jalen Hurts recovers from injury. Sit ‘Em Deshaun Watson (Cleveland Browns) The Browns are officially eliminated from the playoffs, and Deshaun Watson has played a big part in that failure. Watson has only completed 57% of his passes, averages 175 pass yards, and scores 12.3 fantasy points per game. Watson has finished as the QB20 or worse in three of his four games. Year 1 of the Browns-Watson marriage has not gone well. Washington also allows the 7th fewest passing yards to quarterbacks (198) per game. Teddy Bridgewater (Miami Dolphins) Tua Tagovailoa is expected to miss Week 17 due to concussion protocol. In the two games Teddy Bridgewater has filled in for Tagovailoa and thrown more than 20 passes, he’s averaged 16 fantasy points per game. However, he faces the New England Patriots at home who rank as the 3rd toughest pass DVOA matchup on the season. Last season, Teddy Bridgewater finished above QB15 only three times in 14 games. Those are certainly reasons to temper expectations and find better streaming options among QBs. RUNNING BACKS Start ‘Em Brian Robinson (Washington Commanders) Fantasy managers can’t ignore the volume Brian Robinson has accumulated. In three of the last four games, Robinson has at least 20 touches. While only one of those games turned into a top-10 fantasy week (RB4 Week 12 vs ATL), Robinson gets a porous Cleveland defense that has nothing to play for in Week 17. The Browns are the 3rd most favorable rushing DVOA matchup and allow the 3rd most fantasy points to running backs. Volume + favorable matchup = major start for Robinson as a solid RB2. D’Andre Swift (Detroit Lions) Swift might have had his worst fantasy outing of the season in Week 16 against Carolina. But, Swift is poised for a bounce-back in Week 17. Swift played the 2nd most snaps of the season and still had 9 opportunities against Carolina. Those are underlying metrics that suggest he should have had a bigger day. In fact, Swift only caught 1 of his 5 targets in that game. The Bears allow the 4th most fantasy points to opposing RBs and are the 4th most favorable rush DVOA matchup. In a game that should turn into a shootout, Swift has the talent and is set to boom. Sit ‘Em Antonio Gibson (Washington Commanders) Do not plan to start Antonio Gibson in Week 17. He’s seriously questionable with a sprain and has missed practices this week. Even though it’s a plus matchup against the Browns, Gibson hasn’t rushed 10+ times since Week 11 and has finished no better than the RB35 in each of the last four games. If Gibson doesn’t go this week, Jonathan Williams is a deep-league desperation consideration in the Washington backfield. Jamaal Williams (Detroit Lions) Williams had his worst game of the season in Week 16 against the Panthers, setting season lows in snap %, rush attempts, rush yards, and fantasy points. While he is expected to go against a generous Chicago Bears front-7, Williams may still be nursing a leg injury that limited his playing time against the Panthers. Williams hasn’t rushed for more than 37 yards nor has he scored in each of the last three games. In his last matchup against the Bears, Williams finished 16-59 on the ground. He did fall into the endzone in the last matchup but with limited snaps is not a trustworthy RB2 in championship week. WIDE RECEIVERS Start ‘Em Garrett Wilson (New York Jets) Mike White is expected back, which means good news for Garrett Wilson. In White’s 2-game absence, Garrett Wilson only caught 8 passes on 18 targets and had an average weekly finish of WR49. In White’s three starts, Wilson averaged 6 receptions for 112 yards and finished as the WR13. That resulted in two top-7 weekly finishes. Seattle is a plus Pass DVOA matchup and should allow for Wilson to “get his” in a nice rebound game. DeVonta Smith (Philadelphia Eagles) Fantasy managers should make excuses for DeVonta Smith to make their fantasy lineups in Week 17. Over the last 4 weeks, DeVonta Smith has the 3rd most receiving yards (405) only behind Justin Jefferson and teammate AJ Brown, 2nd highest yards per reception (17.6) among WRs with 20+ targets, 2nd among WRs in yards after the catch per reception, and 7th in yards per route run. Smith may be WR15 in
