Thursday Night Football Preview: Week 3

Thursday Night Football Preview: Week 3 Last week’s battle was as high-scoring and entertaining as we expected. For Week 3, old NFC rivals square off. However, injuries to both teams will have an impact. FullTime Fantasy‘s Thursday Night Football Preview: Week 3 breaks down the Giants versus 49ers grudge match. New York pulled off an improbable comeback on Sunday in Arizona but must avoid getting down early to this talented San Francisco squad. Also, the Giants are expected to be without their top offensive weapon. The 49ers look like one of the best teams in football. San Francisco has won 12 of their last 18 against the G-Men and enter this game as 9.5-point favorites. Matchup  TEAM OFFENSE PASS RUSH YDS/PLAY POINTS New York Giants 23 24 13 25 28 San Francisco 49ers 7 16 3 2 3 Things looked dire for the Giants last week. After getting drubbed in their opener, Brian Daboll’s team found themselves down 20-0 at halftime against the lowly Arizona Cardinals in Glendale on Sunday. Fortunately, the Giants stormed back and outscored the Cards 31-7 in the second half to improve to 1-1. Playing that lackadaisically won’t work against Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers. San Francisco beat the Rams to improve to 2-0. The 49ers boast the league’s No. 7 offense and have also allowed the third-fewest points in the league. Shanahan’s crew can win via the pass or run and will bring it defensively. Also, the Giants will be without their best weapon, RB Saquon Barkley. This complicates things for Daboll and company. Also, the Giants will be without  Andrew Thomas and Ben Bredeson on the offensive line. However, this game still has significant fantasy football and DFS implications that we will break down in this Thursday Night Football Preview: Week 3. New York Offense  The Giants were listless for the first six quarters of the 2023 season. Whatever adjustments Daboll came up with at halftime Sunday worked. Daniel Jones posted the overall QB1 numbers for Week 2, throwing for 321 yards, rushing for 59, and compiling three total touchdowns. Traveling across the country on short rest to face this defense is daunting. Jones is always a threat to make plays with his legs. However, playing without Barkley will allow the 49ers to take a more aggressive approach. Jones should be viewed as a mid-tier QB2 this week and can be benched in shallow single-QB formats. With Barkley trending towards an inactive, Matt Breida will fill in for New York. Breida enters this contest with a mere four touches so far this season. Breida hasn’t surpassed double-digit carries in any game since the 2020 season. Facing the league’s No. 3 run defense isn’t the formula to change that. Breida can catch the ball but will have a hard time posting decent fantasy numbers in this contest. View him as a desperation RB3 at best. Gary Brightwell will also mix in. Brightwell has only played five fewer snaps than Breida and has a higher target rate. Eric Gray could also be active. Brightwell offers plus pass-catching ability but is well off the fantasy radar. Darius Slayton leads New York’s receiving corps in snaps (103) and target share (17.2%). In a game where the Giants are projected to be trailing, Slayton can be counted on to command about six targets with limited upside and scoring potential. Isaiah Hodgins is the other perimeter option. Jones spreads his targets fairly evenly between his top-3 wideouts. Hodgins scored last week after an invisible opener. However, his fantasy potential is rather capped facing off against Charvarius Ward and Deommodore Lenoir. Inside WR Parris Campbell‘s 10.9 targets per snap figure leads New York’s wideouts. Campbell runs 85% of his routes from the slot and will face a tough challenge against slot corner Isaiah Oliver.  The best bet to lead the Giants in all receiving categories in this game is TE Darren Waller. Waller is tied for third among all tight ends with 13 grabs and leads the position with 112 yards. The Niners held Pat Freirmuth and Tyler Higbee to fewer than 20 yards so far. View this as a tough matchup for Waller, who should be viewed as a volume-base TE1 with limited upside. San Francisco Offense The Giants have allowed the most points in the league and have not recorded a sack through two games. Kyle Shanahan should be able to carve up this defense with a suitable game plan for QB Brock Purdy. The sophomore signal-caller has completed two-thirds of his passes but his stats have been rather modest as the 49ers have posted the No. 3 rushing numbers in the league. San Francisco has scored 30 points in each of their first two contests. Game three is trending in that direction but it could be another quiet fantasy outing for Purdy if San Fran gets out to a big lead and relies on the run game to grind out the clock. Christian McCaffrey sits atop the fantasy running-back landscape once again. The do-it-all superstar rusher leads the league in rushing with 268 yards. Meanwhile, the Giants 32nd-ranked defense surrendered 22.2 fantasy points to Tony Pollard in Week 1 and 16.6 to James Conner on Sunday. CMC is the overall No. 1 fantasy option in all formats. Deebo Samuel has a history of destroying the Rams. However, volume is key. The matchup against the Giants is about as good as it gets. However, teams have been able to run on New York, which could lead to fewer targets. Of course, Samuel himself is an excellent rusher and capable of posting WR1/2 numbers on any given week. Deebo Samuel’s career games vs. the Rams WR62 WR16 WR14 WR8 WR1 WR2 WR6 — Jody Smith (@JodySmithNFL) September 16, 2023 Teammate Brandon Aiyuk is dealing with a shoulder injury and is questionable for this game. It’s a pain management issue for Aiyuk. However, if the Niners are nursing a big lead, it could lead to fewer snaps. View Aiyuk as his usual WR2/3 self in a tasty matchup, with some

FFWC High-Stakes Recap: Week 2

Week Two, of the 2023 Fulltime Fantasy Football season, is now complete. Changes were plentiful, and drastic, across our four tournaments. Here is a look at the Top 20 Leaderboards. The FFWC High-Stakes Recap: Week 2 catches you up on the leaderboards after a wild second week. FFWC XI World Championship Tournament In the race to the $150K Grand Prize, the FFWC XI World Championship Top 20 Overall Leaderboard is populated by 14 new teams this week. We have a new overall leader as Team Just(in) Time (WC 4 SLOW) jumped from eighth to first place overall. Led by WR Keenan Allen (31.1), and WR Mike Evans (29.1), Simeon Yarbrough and Brian Marzorini had six of their 11 players post at least 20.7 Points. Their 199.85 points was good for the tenth-highest Week 2 total. Team Meyer (WC 9/9 1 PM) moved from fifth to second overall. William Meyer was led by rising star WR Nacua Puka (30.1), unheralded RB Brian Robinson (28.9), and WR Justin Jefferson (26.9). Team Meyer received double-digit scoring from all of the players in his starting lineup. Making a big jump, from 96th to third place overall, Cocktails and Dreams IV (WC 8/13 7 PM) piled up 219.85 points. With the massive total, Chad Schroeder now owns the current single-week high score.  Another big mover, Team Gipson posted 207.10 points and jumped from 61st to fourth overall. Danny Gibson’s Week 2 lineup was led by QB Kirk Cousins (34.20), plus WR Keenan Allen and RB Brian Robinson. Danny has a 59.90-point lead in his WC 9/9 10 PM ET league. Rounding out the Top Five, Chad added a second team to the Top 20 Leaderboard. Cocktails and Dreams XIII (WC 8/23 10 PM ET) racked up 191.65 points. That squad was led by QB Daniel Jones (34.05), and WR Mike Evans (29.10), plus RB Christian McCaffrey (22.5), and WR Deebo Samuel (22.10). After no one reached the level last week, nine teams cracked the 200-point barrier during Week 2 action. That includes Danny Gipson, who had two of the top-five scoring squads (213.25 and 207.10) last week. Our “Shout Out of the Week” goes to Mike Foresta who posted 213.50 points and moved his The Deal No Deal Team I from 504th to 48th overall. That’s proof that every week is a new beginning in Fantasy Football. Circa Las Vegas Fantasy Championship Our inaugural Circa LVFC Tournament is a very close race after Week 2. Heading into Week 3 action, the Top 5 teams are separated by just 6.00 points. We had a lot of changes, as there are 17 new teams on the Top 20 Leaderboard. Week 2 was the Michael Schlissberg Show as he now has FIVE teams in the Top 13 overall. Mike’s Spartan Nation 2 squad (Circa LVFC 8/5 11:45 PM ET) posted 174.05 points and jumped from fourth to first overall. The best was yet to come though, as his No Yellow Stickers 1 (Circa LVFC 7/12 10 PM ET) team posted a LVFC season-high 230.90 points. That squad moved from 350th to second place. Mike followed that with a 210.30 total from his Mr. Yellow Stickers 1 (Circa LVFC 6/8 10:30 PM ET) team. That’s three different teams; all drafted in a different month, that own the Top 3 positions on the Circa LVFC Leaderboard. Team Taylor enters the Top 5 as Charlie’s Circa LVFC 6/16 10:30 PM ET squad posted 193.85 points. That moved Charlie from 46th to fourth overall. Charlie took advantage of early drafting as his team was selected during the seventh online draft this season. Rounding out the Top 5, MANKIND NATION moved from seventh to fifth place. Duke Viveros’ Circa LVFC 8/15 11:45 PM ET team posted 173.05 points. With a 180.73 two-week average, Duke sits just 6.00 points out of first overall. After just one team cracked the 200-point barrier in Week 1, 17 squads topped that plateau during Week 2. Through two weeks, 253 of our 1056 LVFC teams sit with a 2-0-0 record. There are 20 different leagues represented on the Circa LVFC Top 20 Leaderboard. Our “Shout Out of the Week” goes to Team Everything Must Go. Matthew Lyons Circa LVFC 8/4 11:45 PM ET squad racked up 227.90 points. That was the second-highest Week 2 total. Mathew moved from 825th to 25th overall. Yet another example of “it ain’t over – ‘til it’s over”. Keep Battling Everyone! Dynasty World Championship Tournament Continuing the week-over-week leaderboard shifts, across our four tournaments, there are 14 new teams on the DFWC Top 20 Leaderboard. That includes three of the Top 5 Week 1 leaders slipping out of the Top 20. Racking up the fifth-highest Week 2 DFWC total, Team Mr. Two Thirty 33 is our new DFWC overall leader. Steve Moreau’s DFWC 33 Squad posted 209.40 points and now has a 31.65-point lead. With an impressive 203.65 two-week average – Steve moved from third to first place. Moving up 24 positions, Team Ehuds Sword (DFWC 47) jumped from 26th to second overall. Brian Willey’s squad moved to 2-0-0 after posting 198.25 points in Week 2. Larry Celeste made a big move as well, as his Hangry Fatkidz squad (DFWC 63) racked up 205.30 points. That was the tenth-highest Week 2 total and moved Larry from 42nd to third place overall. Fourth and fifth place overall are now owned by Biplab Mandal. His DFWC 38 squad racked up 203.45 points and jumped from 38th to fourth place. Biplab’s DFWC 4 team posted 180.45 points and moved from 16th to fifth overall. After just two Owners had multiple Top 20 teams last week, five moved in following Week 2 action. Three leagues have two teams on the Top 20 Leaderboard.  Week 1 saw just one team crack the 200 barrier, but that changed as 15 squads posted at least 200.10 points during Week 2 action.  Our “Shout Out of the Week” goes to Kyle Knapp who posted a new 2023 DFWC season-high 226.00 points.

Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

In a game like football, that embraces speed and hits, injuries are inevitable. It’s unfortunate, but the hope is that no player suffers any debilitating ailment. FullTime’s Fantasy Football Injury Rundown goes over all the injuries from this past week’s action and breaks down their potential impact moving forward. Also, a great starting point for staying updated on the latest injuries is to bookmark our NFL Injury Report. Finally, FullTime Fantasy Members will get the latest NFL injury news and advice live each Sunday and Thursday in the FullTime Fantasy Discord. Click below to join us today! Now, let’s break down all the latest fantasy-relevant injury news in this week’s  Fantasy Football Injury Rundown. Also, we will continually update this list as more news is confirmed.   Fantasy Football Injury Rundown: Week 3   Nick Chubb (RB) Cleveland Browns – Unfortunately, Chubb’s 2023 season is over after a devastating left knee injury. Chubb previously came back from a catastrophic injury to the same knee at Georgia. However, it is too early to tell if that will have any impact on the recovery of Monday’s injury. Jerome Ford becomes the top waiver wire priority for Week 3. Also, there are some rumblings of a reunion with Kareem Hunt. Browns’ HC Kevin Stefanski told reporters that he expects RB Nick Chubb to be out for the season with a significant knee injury. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) September 19, 2023 Saquon Barkley (RB) New York Giants – A sprained ankle is expected to sideline Barkley for 2-3 weeks. Even though he is reportedly doing better than expected in his recovery, there is no chance Barkley will play on short rest in Week 3. The positive here is Barkley avoided a high-ankle sprain and that he’s trending positively. Matt Breida would log starts for any games Barkley misses. Austin Ekeler (RB) Los Angeles Chargers – What was quite an under-the-radar ankle injury last week looks much more concerning heading into Week 3. In comments to the media after LA’s second-consecutive loss, Brandon Staley said there is no timetable for when Ekeler could be back in the Chargers’ lineup. This is obviously a big blow for fantasy managers and the Chargers, who have a pivotal game against the winless Vikings this week. Joshua Kelley dominated snaps in Week 2 and should continue to act as the club’s main back as long as Ekeler is absent. Joe Burrow (QB) Cincinnati Bengals – It could be a while before we see a fully healthy Joe Burrow. Cincinnati’s QB is still dealing with that calf injury. Zac Taylor indicated that Burrow is questionable to play in Week 3. With the Bengals scheduled for Monday, fantasy managers should consider all other options. Anthony Richardson (QB) Indianapolis Colts – Richardson’s second game was off to a promising start before he self-reported concussion symptoms and left the game in the second quarter. The first-round rookie is in the league’s concussion protocol. It could be difficult for him to be cleared in time to suit up in Baltimore. As of now, it’s looking like Gardner Minshew is likely to draw the Week 3 start. We will keep the FullTime Fantasy Discord channel appraised. David Montgomery (RB) Detroit Lions – A quad injury will keep Montgomery out for a game or two. This may, or may not mean a bigger role for Jahmyr Gibbs. After Montgomery exited on Sunday, Craig Reynolds began seeing snaps immediately. Also, the club promoted Zonoan Knight from the practice squad on Tuesday. Fortunatley, the injury isn’t particularly concerning, so it may only cost Montgomery 1-2 games. Brandon Aiyuk (WR) San Francisco 49ers – A CT scan revealed that Aiyuk’s clavicle is intact. This is good news. Aiyuk’s availability on Thursday will come down to pain tolerance. We will have an update in Discord once there is some clarity. Jamaal Williams (RB) New Orleans Saints – Williams hurt his hamstring in the second quarter and was unable to return to action. Williams has been inefficient but got a lot of opportunities in his game and a half. If he misses Week 3, Tony Jones would likely draw the start, with Kendre Miller likely to make his debut. Also, this is the final week that the Saints won’t have Alvin Kamara, who is due to return in Week 4. Williams’s potential to be an RB2/3 is on very shaky ground. Brandin Cooks (WR) Dallas Cowboys – After sitting out Week 2 with a sprained MCL, Cooks is trending toward a Week 3 return per Jerry Jones. This would actually be a surprise as MCL injuries generally take 2-3 to fully recover from. We would advise proceeding with caution this week in regards to starting Cooks. Diontae Johnson (WR) Pittsburgh Steelers – Johnson was placed on Injured Reserve by the Steelers. The earliest he will return is Week 7. Pittsburgh’s offense has looked stagnant. But Johnson is too good of a player to cut bait. Fantasy managers with IR slots have no choice but to play the waiting game. Chris Evans (RB) Cincinnati Bengals – Evans missed Week 2 with a hamstring injury. Trayveon Williams earned a 22% snap share with Evans sidelined.   The 2023 NFL season is underway but it’s not too late to get access to the best help out there! Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 3

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 3 It’s always a good idea to proceed with caution on your waiver wire after Week 1. Of course, every once in a while a Puka Nacua comes around and destroys that approach. That’s unlikely this week. However, there are still plenty of appealing options on the Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 3. Here are the top fantasy football waiver wire: Week 3 players to target—also, a recommended FAAB value to spend. FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget Jerome Ford (RB) Cleveland Browns (20% FAAB) – Injuries are an unfortunate part of the game. Our thoughts are with Nick Chubb. For managers that rostered Chubb, Ford is next in line to take over as Cleveland’s running back. Ford is a solid receiving option, as well. Unfortunately, Ford in now the top waiver priority for Week 3. Zack Moss (RB) Indianapolis Colts (12% FAAB) – After missing Week 1, Moss did a hostile takeover of the Indianapolis backfield. He was the only Colts’ running back to see the field in Houston. Moss logged 56-of-57 snaps and turned 22 touches into 107 scrimmage yards and a score. Deon Jackson didn’t log one snap. Also, we know Jonathan Taylor will miss a minimum of two more games. That puts Moss in a position to compile RB2 numbers for at least two weeks. However, a matchup against Tennessee’s tough run D next week looms, so keep bids reasonable. Tutu Atwell (WR) Los Angeles Rams (10% FAAB) – I advocated for prioritizing Puka Nacua last week. In retrospect, 20% FAAB wasn’t nearly enough for Nacua, who is making headlines. Conversely, Tutu Atwell is flying under the radar. However, he’s quietly been nearly as good. Atwell is the WR15 headed into Monday Night Football. He’s top 10 in catches and yards through two games. I don’t expect this kind of production to continue, but Atwell needs to be added in all leagues. Jayden Reed (WR) Green Bay Packers (10% FAAB) – After making a downfield impact in the season opener, Reed was used closer to the line of scrimmage in Atlanta. Can’t argue with the results. In 28 snaps, Reed caught 4-of-8 targets for 37 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He has a 25% target share through two games and will remain in the lineup with Christain Watson returns. View Reed as a priority claim where he is still on the waiver wire. Zach Ertz (TE) Arizona Cardinals (10% FAAB) – After two games, Ertz is TE6 overall. That is quite remarkable for a guy whose 2023 status was in doubt just weeks ago. The 32-year-old veteran leads all tight ends with 18 targets. As long as Josh Dobbs remains Arizona’s quarterback, Ertz looks like a viable TE1 that is widely available on waiver wires everywhere. Matt Breida (RB) New York Giants (10% FAAB) – Saquon Barkley exited Week 2s loss with a leg injury. X-rays were negative but the Giants travel to San Francisco for Thursday’s game. That turnaround makes Barkley less likely to suit up in Week 3. Facing the 49ers isn’t a matchup to target. However, if Breida gets the start, he’ll have some RB2/flex value. UPDATE: Adam Schefter reported Barkley would miss three weeks with a sprained ankle. This makes Breida a priority add. Also, Gary Brightwell (4% FAAB) can be targeted in deeper leagues. Roschon Johnson (RB) Chicago Bears (8% FAAB) – It looked like rocket emoji time Sunday morning when it was announced that D’Onta Foreman would be a healthy scratch. However, the Bears had another listless outing and Johnson commanded just six touches. The good news was that Johnson got 41.5% of the snaps and was far more effective than Khalil Herbert. He’s been the best back in Chicago for consecutive weeks, now. Here’s hoping his role only grows. Josh Reynolds (WR) Detroit Lions (8% FAAB) – Through two games, Reynolds has corralled 9-of-13 targets while operating as Detroit’s clear WR2. Jameson Williams won’t return for another month, so there is reason to be optimistic that role should continue for the foreseeable future. Also, with David Montgomery out for multiple weeks, the Lions will rely more on their passing game. Reynolds should command a decent bid in 12-teamers. DeVante Parker (WR) New England Patriots (6% FAAB) – In his 2023 debut, Parker logged a 100% snap rate. He also led New England’s wideout in receptions (6) and yards (57). This isn’t a particularly appealing passing attack. However, Parker was used as a clear WR1, which means fantasy managers should be interested in acquiring his services. Tank Dell (WR) Houston Texans (5% FAAB) – Houston falling behind early had a positive result on Dell’s target share (10 looks) and playing time (78.5% snap rate). Also, Dell hauled in seven of those 10 passes for 72 yards and his first touchdown. The 0-2 Texans will see plenty of positive game scripts in Year One of their rebuild. Dell should be considered a decent WR4/5 option worth a modest FAAB bid. Teammate Robert Woods (5% FAAB) would also be a solid roster addition. Gus Edwards (RB) Baltimore Ravens (5% FAAB) – The Ravens will use multiple backs each week. It was Edwards who was more effective in Cincinnati. The veteran averaged over six yards per carry and got a 1-yard TD plunge in the game. He won’t contribute much in the passing game, but Edwards has plus scoring potential in this offense. Baker Mayfield (QB) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4% FAAB) – If you’re looking for a Week 3 streamer, consider Baker Mayfield. Seriously. Mayfield has played well through two games. Also, the Week 3 home matchup against the Eagles doesn’t look as bad as projected. Through two games, Philadelphia has allowed the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Mayfield might have at least one more streamable week in him. Latavius Murray (RB) Buffalo Bills (4% FAAB) – James Cook dominated touches in Buffalo, but Murray seems to be the RB2. Murray played the second-most snaps (18)

Thursday Night Football Preview: Week 2

The opening week of the 2023 NFL season was filled with surprises. A good percentage of those were poor ones. That includes both participants in tonight’s games. Hopefully, both squads can turn it around, but we’ll dig deep in our Thursday Night Football Preview: Week 2. Philadelphia managed to pull out a win in Week 1 but had an underwhelming offensive showing in New England. Meanwhile, the Vikings were stunned at home, losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20-17. Both teams are loaded with fantasy-relevant talent. The main question is will we see both offenses rebound? The FullTime Fantasy Thursday Night Football Preview: Week 2 analyzes the game with fantasy tips, DFS picks, and our best bet. Matchup  TEAM OFFENSE PASS RUSH YDS/PLAY POINTS Minnesota Vikings 6 3 31 2 20 Philadelphia Eagles 24 23 14 22 8 Both squads fought in close matchups in their openers. Philadelphia’s potent offense was held to 154 passing yards by Bill Belcichik’s defense. The Eagles were just 4-of-13 on third downs and held to 4.1 yards per play. Expect things to rebound for Philly on Thursday. Turnovers did the Vikings in last week. Minnesota outplayed the Buccaneers but lost the turnover battle 3-0. For the Vikings to have a shot against a tough Eagles team on the road, they must clean up that part of their game. Minnesota enters this game as a 6.5-point underdog. The over/under of 49 is the second-highest of the slate. Let’s break down what that means from a fantasy football and sports betting perspective in our Thursday Night Football Preview: Week 2. Minnesota Offense  Minnesota largely outplayed Tampa at home in Week 1. Turnover, penalties, and red-zone struggles ultimately did the Vikings in. For Kevin O’Connell’s squad to have any shot at pulling a Week 2 upset in a hostile environment, they’ll have to clean up those miscues. From a fantasy view, Kirk Cousins played well enough in the opener. Cousins threw for 344 yards and a pair of touchdowns. However, Cousins also turned the ball over three times. That sort of carelessness won’t do against a tough Eagles defense. Philadelphia allowed the 10th-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks last season. Cousins also must contend with traveling to play in one of the most hostile environments in the NFL. Additionally, Cousins has a poor track record in nationally televised games. A touchdown helped mask what was a poor showing for Alexander Mattison in Week 1. Mattison’s 11 rushing attempts resulted in a paltry 34 yards. He did catch three balls, but only for 10 yards and the TD reception. We liked to see the 73.4% snap share last week. However, the chances of a breakout game against a tough Philadelphia defense are slim. View Mattison as a volume-based RB2. Justin Jefferson didn’t disappoint in the season opener. The All-Pro hauled in 9-of-12 targets for 150 scoreless yards. Jefferson will be shadowed by CB Darius Slay. However, Jefferson is a must-start in any format, including as a potential DFS captain. Jordan Addison saw a 56.2% snap rate on Sunday. However, he took advantage of the muted playing time by catching 4-of-6 targets for 61 yards and a TD grab. The Vikings will utilize their wideouts all over the field, so expect a few more slot reps this week. This isn’t a great matchup for K.J. Osborn. However, Osborn did play 91% of Minnesota’s snaps. Also, he is most likely to stay in the lineup in two-wide sets. That, and the discounted price, make Osborn a decent DFS option with limited upside. Philadelphia allowed just 11.2 fantasy points to tight ends a year ago. However, New England’s duo of Hunter Henry and Mike Gesicki hit the Eagles for 8-of-9 targets for 92 yards and a score. T.J. Hockenson is a locked-in top-5 option. Philadelphia Offense The Patriots did a good job on Jalen Hurts on Sunday. However, Minnesota will be hard-pressed to do the same. The Vikings allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks in 2022. Plus, Baker Mayfield was able to compile a 94.4 QB Rating on Sunday. Expect Hurts to rebound from an inauspicious debut and post top-3 fantasy numbers in Week 2. Kenneth Gainwell is out. After being limited to just two touches in Week 1, expect D’Andre Swfit to be much more involved. The Vikings were solid against Rachaad White last week. However, Swift is far more explosive. That said, the lack of involvement in the opener is worrisome, so view Swift as a boom-or-bust pick rather than a must-start. Rashaad Penny was a healthy scratch last week. With Gainwell out, Penny will make his debut but can’t be trusted in season-long lineups. However, I do have some interest in DFS due to Penny’s big-play ability and an intriguing matchup against a Minnesota defense that ranked 22nd versus running backs in 2022. Boston Scott will also see more touches and could factor in on passing downs and in the red zone. Minnesota plays a lot of zone coverage. A.J. Brown is a beast versus man, but this is still an elite matchup for Brown. Both of the Vikings’ perimeter cornerbacks are under 200 pounds, giving Brown a notable size advantage. Expect another double-digit target performance out of Brown, who should contend for WR1 numbers. DeVonta Smith has the fourth-best odds to score a touchdown in this game. Also, Smith’s over/under is 62.5 yards. Both of those lines look promising. The Eagles’ passing game should rebound nicely and Smith performs well as a zone-busting outlet option when Jalen Hurts is blitzed. TE Dallas Goedert was shut out last week. That won’t happen again. In fact, I expect Philadelphia to make a strong effort to correct that in this game. Goedert caught five balls for 82 yards against Minnesota last season. Prediction & Best Bet The Eagles have won nine of their last 12 home games. Also, they’ve covered eight of those games. Also, Philadelphia has fared well against the Vikings. They’re 9-2 straight up and ATS versus Minnesota. Meanwhile, Kirk Cousins is

Arizona exceeded expectations in Week 1, so there is optimism that Conner can be a reliable RB2 whenever he’s in the lineup. •Justice Hill is the Baltimore running back to target in free agency. Hill dominated passing downs and even got two goal-line scores. Baltimore will probably utilize a committee with Gus Edwards and Melvin Gordon also playing a role. However, Hill has the most potential in this new offense. •A lot of Roschon Johnson’s playing time came in garbage time. However, the rookie rusher punched in a nice goal-line carry and led the Bear in yards per carry and targets. •We liked to see Jerome Ford’s usage. Also, Ford racked up 15 touches. However, he was not targeted. Still, Ford is the clear handcuff to Nick Chubb. •No lies detected in Denver’s approach of using multiple backs. Javonte Williams and Samaje Perine split snaps exactly 50/50. However, the takeaway here is that Williams looked really good in his first game back. Both backs posted top-30 fantasy numbers in Week 1 and should be considered solid RB2/3 options moving forward. •Devin Singletary played just 16 snaps. He also was not targeted in the game. This is good news for Dameon Pierce’s bell cow role. •A very encouraging start for Aaron Jones, who led all RBs with .88 fantasy points per snap. Jones also ranked just 34th touches per snap. However, after hurting his hamstring on his second TD, Jones’s Week 2 status is still up in the air. •Interesting backfield usage from the Chargers. Austin Ekeler and Joshua Kelley evenly split carries. Ekeler only played two more snaps. Also, this game was a back-and-forth shootout, indicating Kelley could be quite fantasy-relevant from week to week. •As expected, Jamaal Williams so a big 75.4% snap rate. However, Williams only averaged 2.5 yards per carry and saw two targets. Expect Kendre Miller to be involved as soon as he’s cleared. •Kenny Gainwell dominated touches but was extremely inefficient. Expect D’Andre Swift to see well over two touches in Week 2 when the Eagles have a short turnaround to play on Thursday. •Zach Charbonnet only played one more snap than DeeJay Dallas. Also, Charbonnet wasn’t targeted. We’ll see how this plays out next week, but a troublesome start for Charbonnet, who was lauded for his pass-catching prowess. •In addition to a costly fumble, Antonio Gibson was outplayed in every facet by Brian Robinson. Also, Robinson ran more routes than Gibson. It’s too early to panic, but this was an awful start for Gibson. Wide Receivers •In a great matchup, Rashod Bateman played less than 40% of Baltimore’s snaps. Zay Flowers and Odell Beckham dominated playing time while Bateman was reduced to an afterthought. •TE Dalton Kincaid is Buffalo’s de facto WR3. This was expected. Deonte Harty (15) and Trent Sherfield (11) split WR4 duties. Only Harty drew a target. •Week 1 was overall a lousy day for Carolina’s passing attack. However, the takeaway here is that the club used a lot of three-wide sets. Terrance Marshall filled in for D.J. Chark and led the way with 69 snaps. Adam Thielen and Jonathan Mingo were very close, but none of these wideouts made any impact. In fact, Thielen had the same target share as WR4 Laviska Shenault. •It was a disappointing debut for Marvin Mims. The rookie was drawing a buzz heading into Week 1. However, he only played 17 snaps. Mims did catch his two targets. However, they resulted in nine yards. When Jerry Jeudy returns, it will be hard to trust Mims. •Romeo Doubs was on a “pitch count” but managed to make his limited playing time count. Doubs hauled in a pair of scores and tied Jayden Reed for the highest target rate at 18.5%. Hopefully, Christian Watson will return in Week 2, and when he does, there is a lot of promise out of this young Packers’ offense. •Nico Collins drew 11 targets. Robert Woods had 10. •Michael Pittman’s 97.2% snap share was the third-highest among all wideouts in Week 1. Pittman looked every bit like a dominant WR1 in an offense that exceeded expectations in their opener. The Colts get Houston in Week 2. •The Jaguars won but Christian Kirk’s usage was a concern. Kirk was only in on 60% of the team’s snaps. Also, he caught only one of his three targets. Perhaps it was simply an anomaly or a one-game matchup-based decision. However, if Week 1’s usage was an indicator, Kirk is going to be hard to trust in lineups. •Kadarius Toney was so bad the Chiefs likely would have won the game if Toney hadn’t played. It was one of the worst outings you will ever see. Travis Kelce can’t get back soon enough. However, it was encouraging usage for Skyy Moore and MVS. •What a performance out of Puka Nacua. The fifth-round rookie did an amazing Cooper Kupp impression, reeling in 10-of-11 targets and ranking eighth with a 23.8% utilized rate. Van Jefferson and Tutu Atwell also had solid days for a Rams’ offense that

Fantasy Football Injury Rundown

In a game like football, that embraces speed and hits, injuries are inevitable. It’s unfortunate, but the hope is that no player suffers any debilitating ailment. Now, let’s break down all the latest fantasy-relevant injury news in this week’s  Fantasy Football Injury Rundown. Also, we will continually update this list as more news is confirmed. Fantasy Football Injury Rundown: Week 2 Aaron Rodgers (QB) New York Jets – Potentially the most impactful injury occurred after only four plays on Monday. Rodgers was sacked and initially stood up. However, he sat back down on the turf and eventually was carted to the locker room. X-rays were negative. However, the fantasy world is embracing itself for a lengthy absence due to fears of an Achilles injury, which would end his season. Head coach Robert Saleh said the prognosis “is not good” for Rodgers. UPDATE: An MRI confirmed that Rodgers suffered a ruptured Achilles and will miss the rest of 2023. J.K. Dobbins (RB) Baltimore Ravens – The biggest blow from Sunday came when Baltimore’s starting running back was once again felled by a season-ending injury. This time, Dobbins tore his Achilles in the third quarter. Dobbins missed the entire 2021 season and half of the 2022 campaign recovering from a knee injury. Achilles ruptures are notoriously difficult to recover from, putting Dobbins’ dynasty value in peril. Obviously, he’ll miss the rest of 2023 and can be released in redraft leagues. Justice Hill is the priority waiver wire add. However, Gus Edwards and Melvin Gordon will also be involved. Diontae Johnson (WR) Pittsburgh Steelers – Pittsburgh’s star wideout was unable to get up after hurting his hamstring on a 26-yard catch-and-run. Subsequently, Johnson was immediately ruled out. That’s worrisome. Expect him to miss multiple weeks. That’s a huge loss for an offense that really sputtered in Week 1. Calvin Austin would be the next man up for the Steelers. UPDATE: Johnson will miss “a few weeks.” Anthony Richardson (QB) Indianapolis Colts – Richardson missed Indy’s final drive of their opening loss with an ankle injury. However, Shane Steichen told reporters Monday that the injury wasn’t serious and Richardson was held out as a precaution. Assuming he’s clear, Richardson will be a QB1 against Houston in Week 2. Mark Andrews (TE) Baltimore Ravens – Andrews was ruled out for Week 1 with a quad injury. He practiced during the week and it’s possible the Ravens just held Andrews out as a precaution in a game where they were double-digit home favorites. We should know more in the days ahead. Travis Kelce (TE) Kansas City Chiefs – A hyperextended knee kept Kelce out of Thursday’s game. Considering the decision to hold Kelce out went right up until game time, there is optimism that he’ll be good to go this week. We will keep a close eye on practice reports throughout the week. Jerry Jeudy (WR) Denver Broncos – Hamstrings were particularly troublesome for some wide receivers late in the preseason. That ailment kept Jeudy out of Denver’s Week 1 loss to Las Vegas. However, Jeudy wasn’t ruled out until late on Sunday. That is a reason for some optimism for Week 2. Greg Dulcich (TE) Denver Broncos – Dulcich will miss “multiple weeks” with yet another hamstring injury. Adam Trautman is the next man up for Denver. Christian Watson (WR) Green Bay Packers – Yet another hamstring injury kept Watson out last Sunday. Fortunately, the Packers did need his services to dispatch the Bears. The early diagnosis is Watson will be cleared to face Atlanta. We’ll monitor the recovery process this week and update the Discord channel. Aaron Jones (RB) Green Bay Packers – While we’re on the topic of hamstrings, Jones injured his housing his second touchdown of the game. First, it didn’t seem too serious as he was able to keep jogging. Secondly, the initial diagnosis is optimistic. However, hamstrings can be tricky. Especially for running backs. Jakobi Meyers (WR) Las Vegas Raiders – Meyers had a huge debut in Las Vegas but was forced from the game after taking a brutal helmet-to-helmet shot. He’s entered the league’s concussion protocol and won’t be able to practice until he is fully cleared. Pat Freiermuth (TE) Pittsburgh Steelers – Muth was limited to 32 snaps while dealing with a chest injury. The good news is that he was able to finish the game. It doesn’t seem like anything serious. Evan Hull (RB) Indianapolis Colts – The rookie rusher will miss multiple weeks with a knee injury. Also, Deon Jackson was predictably awful, making Zach Moss a priority waiver target in a tasty Week 2 matchup against the Texans. D.J. Chark (WR) Carolina Panthers – A hamstring injury kept Chark out of Carolina’s season-opening loss. The club is hopeful Chark will be able to suit up against the Saints. Graham Gano (PK) New York Giants – Gano hurt his calf during New York’s Week 1 humiliation. Gano missed both of his field goal attempts before going down. Considering how poorly the Giants played on Sunday night, there is no reason to roster Gano in fantasy leagues right now. Kenneth Gainwell (RB) Philadelphia Eagles – Gainwell is dealing with a rib injury. It isn’t considered serious, but the Eagles do play on Thursday, giving him little time to heal. D’Andre Swift should see more than two touches regardless. The 2023 NFL season is underway but it’s not too late to get access to the best help out there! Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 2

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 2 We’re only one week into the 2023 season and there is already plenty of turmoil. It isn’t time to hit the panic button quite yet. However, using FullTime‘s Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 2 to beef up your roster is always a good idea. Scoring was down across the league in Week 1. There were also plenty of injuries to account for. While blowing your entire FAAB budget after one week is inadvisable, it’s always advisable to be proactive. Here are the top fantasy football waiver wire: Week 2 players to target—also, a recommended FAAB value to spend. FAAB denotes Free Agent Acquisition Budget Kenneth Gainwell (RB) Philadelphia Eagles (25% FAAB) – Rashaad Penny was a healthy scratch. D’Andre Swift only logged two touches. For now, this is Kenny Gainwell’s backfield. We saw that play out in preseason and that’s how the regular season opened. However, Gainwell is rostered in about half of the fantasy leagues. Where he’s available, view Gainwell as the top waive priority this week as an RB2 in an elite offense. Puka Nacua (WR) Los Angeles Rams (20% FAAB) – Cooper who? Fifth-round rookie wideout Puka Nacua drew a lot of hype this summer. And that came to fruition in Week 1. Nacua caught 10-of-15 targets for 119 yards in the Rams’ upset win. Nacua did a phenomenal Cooper Kupp impression, making plays all over the field. Subsequently, he warrants an aggressive FFAB bid as a weekly WR2/3 moving forward. Tutu Atwell (4% FAAB) matched Nacua with 119 receiving yards. However, the Rams are highly unlikely to repeat that kind of volume consistently. Justice Hill (RB) Baltimore Ravens (20% FAAB) – And just like that, J.K. Dobbins is done for the season. Hill was already projected to be more involved in Baltimore’s new offense. But, those two goal-line touchdown runs were a nice surprise. I expect the Ravens to employ a committee with Hill and Gus Edwards moving forward. However, with his pass-catching ability, Hill should be the more highly coveted add. Kyren Williams (RB) Los Angeles Rams (20% FAAB) – There seems to be little doubt who the Rams’ passing down back is. Williams ran 29 routes to just four for Cam Akers. However, the biggest takeaway from that game was Williams’ involvement in the red zone, where he punched in a pair of short-yardage scores. Despite being considered LA’s RB2, that kind of usage can’t be ignored. Williams outplayed Akers at ever level and should be considered a high-priority add wherever he’s available. Luke Musgrave (TE) Green Bay Packers (10% FAAB) – Tight end was an unmitigated disaster in the season opener. However, Musgrave’s role and usage were a welcomed surprise. Musgrave led all skill position players with 45 snaps (75%) and routes run (23). Also, no other Green Bay tight end drew a target in Chicago. Tyler Allgeier (RB) Atlanta Falcons (10% FAAB) – We can’t count on two scores again. However, the Falcons will be one of the run-heaviest teams in football. Allgeier logged a 54% snap rate on Sunday. Also, he was featured prominently in the red zone. The sophomore rusher should stay involved and have enough role to warrant flex consideration on a week-to-week basis. Roschon Johnson (RB) Chicago Bears (10% FAAB) – Chicago’s backfield indeed was split. However, it was Johnson who led the rotation with 29 snaps. The rookie rusher also led the backfield with 4.0 yards per carry, receptions (6), yards (55), and looked impressive cashing in a goal-line TD in garbage time. It seems like only a matter of time before Johnson becomes the unquestioned starter. And that makes him worth a fairly aggressive FAAB price. Kendrick Bourne (WR) New England Patriots (8% FAAB) – Bourne led New England in targets (11), receptions (6), and yards (64) while reeling in a pair of scores. Obviously, we can’t count on the TDs every week. However, Bourne has locked up New England’s slot role secured. Bourne should be fantasy-relevant more often than not. Curtis Samuel (WR) Washington Commanders (8% FAAB) – Quietly, Samuel posted WR30 numbers in 2022. That success carried over into Week 1 as Washington’s slot receiver ran 33 routes and had six opportunities. Samuel caught all five of his targets and should be a reliable WR4/flex option on most weeks. Romeo Doubs (WR) Green Bay Packers (7% FAAB) – It was announced before kickoff that Romeo Doubs would be on a “snap count” as he was dealing with a hamstring injury. However, Doubs made those 29 snaps count. He snagged four of his five targets and housed a pair of TDs. Although we’re hopeful Christian Watson will be back in Week 2, Doubs should remain in Green Bay’s lineup. As good as Jordan Love looked in Chicago, adding starters from this offense looks like a solid plan. Rashid Shaheed (WR) New Orleans Saints (8% FAAB) – Although he only corralled two grabs for 11 yards, Shaheed did secure a touchdown reception. More importantly, he played 35-of-62 snaps and ran 25 routes. Also, he ranked third on the Saints with six targets against Tennessee. He won’t be a consistent fantasy option but Shaheed warrants waiver considerations in leagues where injuries are taking their toll. Allen Robinson (WR) Pittsburgh Steelers (6% FAAB) – Robinson caught five balls for 64 yards in Pittsburgh’s Week 1 defeat. With Diontae Johnson potentially sidelined, Robinson moves into two wide sets. George Pickens and A-Rob both played 56 snaps Sunday. Plus, Robinson led the team with eight targets. Zack Moss (RB Indianapolis Colts (5% FAAB) – Despite receiving 19 opportunities, Deon Jackson was a disaster last week. Jackson coughed up two fumbles and ran for just 14 yards on 13 totes. Expect Moss, who missed Week 1 with a forearm injury, to be activated against Houston and lead Indy’s backfield. Hayden Hurst (TE) Carolina Panthers (5% FAAB) – Carolina’s offense sputtered in Atlanta, but Hurst led the team in receiving. Also, he hauled in Bryce

Fantasy Football Sleepers: Week 1

As we saw on Thursday Night Football, expect the unexpected in fantasy football. That’s especially true in the opening week, where it is more difficult to predict outcomes. However, we will try to dig deep to find our favorite Fantasy Football Sleepers: Week 1. The great thing about Week 1 is everyone has championship aspirations. However, now isn’t the time to get cute with lineups. Finding unheralded sleepers in Week 1 is merely looking for flex options or players who are in a good position to out-produce their weekly projections. Subsequently, now isn’t the time to get cute with lineups and overanalyze things. Stick with your studs. You drafted them for a reason. However, if you are in a deep league or got bitten by the injury bug, here are some fantasy football sleepers: Week 1 to consider. Quarterbacks Sam Howell (Washington Commanders) – Howell looked good this summer in Eric Bieniemy’s offense. The sophomore signal-caller has been deemed a season-long sleeper and is primed to get off to a good start. In addition to having a deep group of skill position players as a supporting cast, the Commanders are seven-point home favorites against an undermanned Arizona Cardinals club. Howell’s lone start last year resulted in a QB7 finish. A repeat of QB1 numbers is certainly a possibility. Anthony Richardson (Indianapolis Colts) – Indy’s passing game could be a mess. However, that doesn’t mean that Richardson won’t get off to a fast start. The Colts have an inviting home matchup against a Jacksonville squad that surrendered the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks last season. Also, Jacksonville was particularly vulnerable on the ground, allowing the third-most rushing yards (469) to the position. Daniel Jones (New York Giants) – Jones experienced a late-season reinsurance under Brian Daibol to close out last year. A rejuvenated Jones has added muscle and additional confidence entering the 2023 campaign. If Jones continues to be a rushing threat and with the addition of Darren Waller, look for a 20-plus fantasy performance on Sunday Night Football. Geno Smith (Seattle Seahawks) – Most fans believe Smith’s success last year was a fluke. Meanwhile, the Seahawks added Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Zach Charbonnet in the draft. Also, they will march out one of the most underrated offensive line groups. Smith went for a cool 367 and 3 TDS in his last matchup vs. the Rams. Running Backs Raheem Mostert (Miami Dolphins) – Rookie running back De’Von Achane was gaining a lot of steam in drafts prior to an injury. And since then, veteran Raheem Mostert has surged in drafts by sharp high-stakes players. Mostert looked spry in the final preseason game and knows the offense well. The week 1 matchup against the Chargers could be the shootout of Week 1. Also, Mostert could get the full allotment of touches. Samaje Perine (Denver Broncos) – New Denver head coach Sean Peyton signed free-agent RB Samjae Perine on the first day of free agency. The Broncos are not going to give Javonte Williams a full run coming off ACL surgery in Week 1. Also, Perine has the chance to get tons of work vs. the Raiders. Perine is more than just a change-of-pace option. He can grind out tough yards and should be a viable red-zone threat in Payton’s scheme. Jamaal Williams (New Orleans Saints) – Alvin Kamara is suspended and Kendre Miller has a hamstring injury. That puts Williams in line for a heavy workload in Week 1. New Orleans hosts a tough Tennessee run defense on Sunday. However, Williams is a volume play that could see upwards of 20 touches. Also, fantasy footballers are well aware of his nose for the end zone. Williams should contend from RB2 numbers. Well ahead of his tenth-round ADP. Wide Receivers  Josh Palmer (Los Angeles Chargers) – It’s Palmer, not Quentin Johnston who will open the season as LA’s WR3. Palmer has been ahead of the rookie all offseason. Also, this is a fantastic matchup for the entire Chargers’ offense. Miami’s secondary was already a mess and now they’ll be missing Jalen Ramsey for most of the season. At 49 points, this AFC battle has the highest over/under on Sunday’s slate. I love the Chargers overall and think Palmer was one of the most underrated wideouts on draft day. Subsequently, I think he gets off to a solid start in 2023. Isaiah Hodgins (New York Giants) – Hodgins was the featured wide receiver down the stretch for the Giants in the 2022 season. But many fantasy players have ignored Hodgins in August drafts. Hodgins could continue to prosper with QB Daniel Jones and Brian Daboll’s innovative playcalling. Also, this Sunday night NFC East grudge match has all the makings of another slugfest.  K.J. Osborn (Minnesota Vikings) – The Vikings will look to establish themselves as an elite passing team. Minnesota selected USC WR Jordan Addison with their first-round pick to help bolster the offense. It may take some time for Addison to reach his full workload and snap counts as he navigates the transition from college to the NFL. It wouldn’t be a surprise if veteran K.J. Osborn should take advantage of Week 1 playing time in another potential shootout. Tight Ends Isaiah Likely (Baltimore Ravens) – Given the injury status of Mark Andrews, Isiah Likely could be in line for a double-digit fantasy game with major upside. The Ravens will make a major effort to push the ball downfield under new offensive coordinator Todd Monken. Likely, a 2022 fantasy draft darling should definitely be in lineups in Week 1 if The Ravens play it safe with Andrews. In fact, Likely should be on fantasy radars even if Andrews is active.  Gerald Everett (Los Angeles Chargers) – Reverting back to that Chargers/Dolphins game, Miami also struggled to defend tight ends. In fact, the Dolphins allowed the second-most receptions (100) and fourth-most touchdowns (10) to tight ends last season. Everett himself saw eight targets when these two teams squared off in Week 14. Everett
