Super Bowl LX WR Player Props: Oddsmakers Priced Too Low

Super Bowl LX: WR Player Prop Oddsmakers Have Priced Too Low!

Written by Frank Taddeo @RespectedMoney on X

Seattle, who is 9-1 SU and 7-3 ATS when favored by more than a field goal this season, are favored by 4.5-points over the Patriots in Super Bowl LX. Many sports bettors may opt to pass on backing Seattle due to the fact that since 2004, underdogs are 15-7 ATS in the Super Bowl and are on a 5-0 ATS streak.

Sports bettors who choose to avoid investing on side wagering will instead find a plethora of player proposition bets for the Big Game!

The New England Patriots (17-3) secured their spot in Super Bowl LX with a gritty 10-7 victory over the Denver Broncos. Building on a remarkable 16-1 straight-up (SU) streak since late September, the Patriots have also posted a solid 13-4 against-the-spread (ATS) record during that span.

After playoff triumphs over the Chargers, Texans, and Broncos – New England aims to wrap up a surprising season under the guidance of second-year quarterback Drake Maye. Boasting a flawless 9-0 SU and 7-2 ATS mark on the road this year, the Pats hope to end their incredible run unbeaten away from Gillette Stadium.

Meanwhile, the NFC’s No. 1 seed, the Seattle Seahawks (16-3), advanced to Super Bowl LX following an exciting 31-27 triumph against the Rams in the NFC Championship. Seattle’s sole setback in a dominant 13-1 SU surge since mid-October came in a narrow 21-19 defeat to the Rams back in Week 11. With Sam Darnold at the helm, the Seahawks are poised to close out their powerhouse campaign on a scorching 10-game winning streak.

Early Super Bowl LX Player Prop

WR Cooper Kupp Over 29.5 Receiving Yards (-118, BetMGM)

WR Cooper Kupp Anytime Touchdown (+250, DraftKings)

While Seattle’s offense clearly runs through WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Copper Kupp has played a pivotal role in both of the club’s playoff wins, hauling in five passes for a team-high 60 yards in the win over the 49ers, followed by four receptions and 36 yards and a touchdown in the NFC Championship against the Rams.

While only finishing as the overall WR53 in PPR leagues in the regular season, the 2021 Offensive Player of the Year and Super Bowl LVI MVP has a proven track record of stepping up in the biggest moments.

My model projects that the Patriots, who are stout against the run, will likely elect to stack the box to stop Kenneth Walker and the potent Seattle run game in an attempt to force Sam Darnold to beat them with his arm.

The veteran wideout, who has surpassed this receiving line in 5 of his last 7 games, will now face a Patriots defense that has allowed 33 WRs to clear 29.5 receiving yards this season.

Thanks to earning a 79.1% snap percentage and an average of 5.7 targets over his last six games, Kupp is quietly flying under-the-radar by oddsmakers.

A deeper dive reveals that the steady talent has hauled in 65 catches for 838 yards and 8 touchdowns in 11 playoff games.

Finding paydirt at a 72.7% clip in his postseason career, combined with a Patriots game-plan designed to force Darnold to beat them through the air + JSN likely drawing top CB Christian Gonzalez in coverage, results in an Anytime Touchdown investment at healthy odds of +250.
