Adam’s Eye: Week 10 DraftKings DFS Breakdown: Main Slate Cash & GPP Plays
Week 10 DraftKings DFS Breakdown (Main Slate Only)
Week 10’s main slate sets up perfectly for balanced roster construction — elite ceilings at the top, strong mid-range plays across every position, and multiple low-cost starters opening value.
By Adam Krautwurst, FullTime Fantasy DFS Pro
With several backup quarterbacks starting and injuries shaking up backfields across the league, there’s plenty of opportunity to gain an edge with volume-driven plays and smart correlation. You don’t have to overspend at quarterback this week, but paying up for the right ceiling can still separate in tournaments. Whether you want to jam the studs or build around value, Week 10 gives us flexibility — and that usually leads to big scores.
Week 10 gives us a rare split slate where value at quarterback and running back is extremely strong, while elite wide receivers are priced at the top of the board. That means the optimal construction for both cash and tournaments will often be:
- Pay down at QB
- Consider two value RBs
- Spend up for elite WR or TE
- Use concentrated offenses and correlation to separate in GPPs
There are multiple paths to lineup builds this week, but the field is going to jam cheap RBs and mid-range WRs. Let’s break down the best plays.
TOP CASH GAME PLAYS
Quarterback
Marcus Mariota – Commanders
Dirt-cheap rushing QB taking over for Jayden Daniels · Should be forced to throw trailing Detroit · Already showed efficiency in earlier starts · Likely 6–10 carries + full passing volume
Other safe cash options: Jaxson Dart · Drake Maye · J.J. McCarthy
You can pay up for Josh Allen, but you don’t have to in cash. Salary relief at QB gives you flexibility everywhere else.
Running Backs
Rico Dowdle – Panthers
27 touches last week · Dominant snap share · Panthers want to run the ball · Great matchup vs Saints defense giving up TDs on the ground
De’Von Achane – Dolphins
Back to a near-every-down role · 20 touches and 10 targets last week even in a blowout loss · Bills are soft versus RBs · Cheaper than other top backs but same ceiling
Other cash RB options: Christian McCaffrey · Quinshon Judkins · Jaylen Warren
Most chalk construction: two cheap RBs + stud WR or TE
Wide Receivers
Parker Washington – Jaguars
Target hog with multiple receivers out · WR1 role but priced like a WR4 · Slot usage avoids Houston perimeter coverage
Jaxon Smith-Njigba – Seahawks
Top WR projection on the slate · League-leading target share and air-yard share · Arizona can’t cover perimeter or slot — total mismatch
Other strong cash WRs: Amon-Ra St. Brown · Puka Nacua · Zay Flowers · Jauan Jennings
Tight End
Hunter Henry – Patriots
Cheap · Highest target share from Drake Maye · Tampa funnels targets to TEs and RBs · Makes salary work in cash builds
If paying up in cash: Trey McBride – Arizona’s passing game is extremely concentrated
Defense
Top cash options: Jaguars · Browns · Panthers · Buccaneers · Jets
Jaguars give the best salary relief without sacrificing floor.
GPP / TOURNAMENT STRATEGY
Most of the field will jam: Value QB · Value RB · Mid-priced WRs
So to gain leverage in GPPs:
• Pay up at QB (Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson)
• Overweight elite WR (JSN, Amon-Ra, Puka)
• Consider double-TE builds with McBride or Andrews
• Use bring-backs in shootout spots
Top GPP Stack #1
Josh Allen + Dalton Kincaid
Bring back: De’Von Achane or Tyreek if active
Bills total is climbing · Dolphins are a run-funnel and blitz heavy · Allen has slate-breaking ceiling, especially with red-zone rushing
Top GPP Stack #2
Marcus Mariota + Deebo Samuel
Bring back: Amon-Ra or LaPorta
Cheap stack opens salary for stars · Detroit can push Washington into passing script · Deebo is massively under-owned
Core Cash Thoughts
Mariota + Dowdle + Hunter Henry gives massive salary relief · Lets you jam JSN or McCaffrey · Parker Washington likely chalk — great PPR role
Core GPP Thoughts
Underweight chalk RBs in some lineups · Overweight elite WR · Allen and Lamar stacks will be under-owned compared to their ceilings
