Week 5 Injury Report

Lamar Jackson (QB – BAL)
Missed Week 5 game against Houston Texans with a hamstring injury. He looks to suit up for Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Brock Bowers (TE – LV)
Held out of Week 5 matchup with knee injury. He is considered week-to-week, and his timeline to return is uncertain.

Bucky Irving (RB – TB)
Missed week 5 against the Seattle Seahawks with foot and shoulder issues. Rachaad White took over the majority of workload in the backfield. Irving is expected to miss at least one more week.

CeeDee Lamb (WR – DAL)
Remained out for the second week in a row with an ankle injury. Lamb has a chance to return against the Panthers in Week 6. Continue to monitor his designation throughout the weekend.

Omarion Hampton (RB – LAC)
Left Week 5 game against Commanders with ankle injury and did not return. He was seen in walking boot and was placed on the IR on Monday, meaning he will miss a minimum of four games.

Chuba Hubbard (RB – CAR)
Missed Week 5 matchup with calf injury. Rico Dowdle took off for over 200 scrimmage yards and a touchdown versus the Miami Dolphins. Hubbard’s status is up in the air for Week 6.

Brock Purdy (QB – SF)
Missed Week 5 victory with toe injury, and has a chance to play in Week 6. Mac Jones continues to get reps under center during Purdy’s absence.

Mike Evans (WR – TB)
Remained out with hamstring injury for the second straight game. Emeka Egbuka and Sterling Shepard continue to step up during Evans’ absence. Evans has yet to return to the practice field and is expected to miss more time.

Jaylen Warren (RB – PIT)
Missed Week 5 game with knee injury. The severity of his injury is unknown. Kenneth Gainwell posted a strong game in Warren’s absence.

Brenton Strange (TE – JAX)
Strange suffered a non-contact hip injury and did not return to the game. He is headed to short term injured reserve and could return Week 11 at the earliest.

Week 5 Waiver Wire Radar

  1. Sam Darnold (QB – SEA) – Darnold had a breakout game versus Tampa Bay in Week 5 with 341 yards and 4 touchdowns. He remains a strong option versus Jacksonville in Week 6.
  2. Bryce Young (QB – CAR) – Continues to heat up with the Carolina Panthers. Young has a favorable schedule in upcoming weeks versus Dolphins, Cowboys, and Jets.
  3. Kenneth Gainwell (RB – PIT) – Played a great game versus Minnesota in Jaylen Warren’s absence. Gainwell had 134 total yards and two touchdowns. He will continue to play a strong role if Warren remains out with an injury.
  4. Kendre Miller (RB – NO) – Played a season-high percentage of snaps and had more carries than Kamara. If Kamara misses any time or is traded, Miller will have high value in New Orleans’ offense.
  5. Kimani Vidal/ Hassan Haskins (RB- LAC) – Omarion Hampton will miss at least four games on IR. It is currently unclear which running back will take over the bulk of the workload, but Vidal and Haskins are both worth adds on the waiver wire.
  6. Kendrick Bourne (WR – SF) – Posted a monster game with 10 catches and 142 yards with Ricky Pearsall and Jauan Jennings sidelined. Has high value with injuries to San Francisco’s receiving room.
  7. AJ Barner (TE – SEA) – Continues to find the endzone with Seattle. Barner is forming a nice connection with Sam Darnold and has scored four touchdowns this season.
  8. Jake Tonges (TE – SF) – Beneficiary of injuries to San Francisco offense. Put up a strong game in Week 5 and remains a viable add during Kittle’s absence.
