A native of cajun country, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Davis-Price rushed for over 2,500 yards and scored 29 touchdowns, and was a top-10 national running back out of Southern University Laboratory High School. He chose to stay home and committed to the Tigers after graduating. Davis-Price contributed 369 scrimmage yards and six touchdowns as a true freshman backing up Clyde Edwards-Helaire during the Tigers' national title run. He led LSU in rushing during the COVID-shortened 2020 campaign and again in 2021, where he rushed for a career-high 1,004 yards.
