Week 15 BYES: NONE
Sincere McCormick (RB) Las Vegas Raiders – McCormick got his second straight start and looked good. He has averaged over five yards per carry in all three games. In Week 14, he logged 18 opportunities, resulting in 10.9 PPR points. The potential return of Alexander Mattison complicates the Raiders’ backfield. However, McCormick has played well enough to retain a significant role.
Ray-Ray McCloud (WR) Atlanta Falcons – With another 11 targets, McCloud scored a season-high 18.1 fantasy points on Sunday. He has now surpassed 10 fantasy points in four of his last five outings. The Falcons are still playing for the NFC South title and McCloud will see plenty of favorable game scripts, including this week’s tilt with the lowly Raiders. Subsequently, McCloud is one of the top wideouts to add and is still widely un-rostered.
Tank Bigsby (RB) Jacksonville Jaguars – Bigsby logged double-digit carries for the first time since Week 8, resulting in 62 scrimmage yards and a touchdown. The Jaguars are just playing through the motions at this point, so Bigsby will have ample opportunities in the final month of the season.
Quentin Johnston & Josh Palmer (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – With Ladd McConkey ailing, LA’s Week 14 offense ran through the team’s No. 2 and No. 3 receivers. Johnston has posted several solid performances and now has a team-high seven TDs. Meanwhile, Palmer filled in for McConkey, running 72% of his routes out of the slot and catching 6-of-9 targets for 78 yards. At this point, Johnston is an every-week flex option. However, if McConkey misses another game, Palmer becomes an intriguing option against a Tampa secondary allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to enemy wideouts.
Juwan Johnson (TE) New Orleans Saints – Johnson looks like he will be the main benefactor of Taysom Hill’s season-ending injury. However, with Derek Carr now out, Johnson’s role is unsettled. Therefore, he’s more of a middling TE2 to target with a speculative FAB bid.
Tim Patrick (WR) Detroit Lions – Patrick has now produced three quality starts in a row. He’s locked into the WR3 role and this week’s matchup with the Bills looks like a potential shootout. Therefore, Patrick is on the WR4/flex radar.
Isaiah Davis (RB) New York Jets – I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Jets shut Breece Hall down. Should that be the plan, the Jets would employ a committee backfield with Davis and Braelon Allen. Davis has more pass-catching upside and is widely un-rostered.
Patrick Taylor (RB) San Francisco 49ers – It sounds like Issac Guerendo avoided a serious injury. However, proactive fantasy managers should add Taylor as insurance.
Kendre Miller (RB) New Orleans Saints – Playing for the first time since being activated from IR, Miller looked good on Sunday. He forced four missed tackles in 10 carries and scored his first touchdown. He’s a must-add for fantasy managers who roster Alvin Kamara.
Grant Calcaterra (TE) Philadelphia Eagles – Dallas Goedert was placed on Injured Reserve so Calcaterra will fill in as Philly’s starter for the rest of the season. Tight end has been a disaster, so Calcaterra offers TE2 value on a week-to-week basis.
Jalen McMillian (WR) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Don’t overreact to McMillian’s two-score day. Before Week 14, he hadn’t topped 50 yards all season. He is worth a minimal bid as a WR5/depth play. Teammate Sterling Shepard makes more sense as a waiver wire: Week 15 add and is more likely to fly under the radar after McMillian’s two-score outing.
Mike Williams (WR) Pittsburgh Steelers – Williams filled in for George Pickens and snagged 3-of-4 targets. I don’t expect Pickens to miss significant time and Williams isn’t anywhere near that caliber of receiver. Still, Pickens managers may want to throw out a speculative bid on Williams as a potential replacement in a tough spot versus the Eagles.
Desmond Ridder (QB) Las Vegas Raiders – Revenge game narrative. As luck would have it, the next man up in Vegas just happens to play his former team in his first start. The Vikings pummeled Atlanta in Week 14. However, Ridder isn’t anywhere near that caliber of thrower and did not look good in relief versus Tampa. Ridder is merely a bottom-5 Superflex option for teams that injuries have pummeled.
Finally, check your IR-Eligible list for a couple of players to stash for the playoffs, Marquise Brown and Tyler Higbee.
