Now it’s getting serious. We have reached double-digit weeks into the 2024 fantasy football season. Therefore, the playoff stretch drive is officially underway. Our Waiver Wire: Week 10 will help you determine the top free agents to add to increase your odds of making the postseason and winning once you get there.
Along with knowing who to pick up, FullTime Fantasy‘s Matchup Analyzer Tool will help you get the most out of your lineup.
Here are the low-rostered players you should consider adding before Week 10.
Week 10 BYES: Cleveland, Green Bay, Las Vegas, Seattle
Quentin Johnston (WR) Los Angeles Chargers – After missing two games, Johnston returned with a vengeance. Versus the Browns, he reeled in 4-of-5 targets for 118 yards and a touchdown. Johnston has now scored double-digit fantasy points in three of his past five outings. He plays a healthy amount of snaps and should be viewed as a weekly WR4/flex option worth a healthy 1-12% FAAB bid. Teammate Joshua Palmer is also a priority add.
Ricky Pearsall (WR) San Francisco 49ers– Because the Niners were off last week, you may be able to sneak a quality player in for cheap if your opponents unwisely sort by last week’s total points. Pearsall is locked into a top-3 role for a San Francisco offense that ranks ninth in yards and scoring.
Demario Douglas (WR) New England Patriots – The stats didn’t necessarily show it, but Douglas is playing a ton of snaps for the Patriots. Last week, he ran a season-high 41 routes, and 86% of those came from the slot. He’s had three solid outings as the safety outlet for Drake Maye. Douglas should be viewed as a weekly WR4/flex option who will have occasional WR3 outings.
Xavier Legette (WR) Carolina Panthers – Against New Orleans, Legette was featured in 44-of-53 snaps (83%) and scored for the second consecutive week. The fact that he’s posting WR2 numbers with Bryce Young under center is doubly impressive. However, Legette hasn’t topped 35 receiving yards since Week 4, so the floor is low.
Mike Gesicki (TE) Cincinnati Bengals – You might see that huge 100-yard, two-score outing from Sunday and be willing to empty your remaining FAAB budget for Gesicki. Don’t do that. Gesicki remains part of a committee and only played 27 snaps. Furthermore, Tee Higgins will be back in Week 10. That will drop Gesicki in the target pecking order. The veteran tight end is worth an add, but I wouldn’t exceed 6-8% of my FAAB budget.
Taysom Hill (TE) New Orleans Saints – If you’re looking for tight end help, I would rather target Taysom Hill than Mike Gesicki. Of course, the Saints just fired Dennis Allen, so there’s plenty of risk here. However, I don’t think we’ll see Chris Olave any time soon and Hill was second on the team in targets in Sunday’s loss. Hill should remain a key contributor for the club down the stretch as a Swiff Army type of option. He’s got weekly TE1 upside.
Parker Washington (WR) Jacksonville Jaguars – On Sunday, Washington was second on the Jaguars in receiving yards (41) and sported a 19% target share. He ran a route on 33 of his 36 snaps. 25 of those came from the perimeter. With Christian Kirk gone and Brian Thomas Jr. ailing, Washington should see plenty of opportunities moving forward.
Ray Davis (RB) Buffalo Bills – Davis only played nine snaps but made the most of the limited playing time. The rookie rusher has done that all season and there is some talk that his role will expand. If that happens, Davis has flex appeal in weeks when the Bills can ground out wins in the second half.
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (WR) Tennessee Titans – NWI has scored a touchdown in all four of his games played in 2024. With four teams off this week, it’s not the worst idea to ride the hot hand.
Jaylen Wright (RB) Miami Dolphins – Raheem Mostert was benched after another fumble. After that, Wright had five of his six carries in Miami’s Week 10 loss to the Bills. He’s averaging 5.0 yards per carry this season and may see more opportunities down the stretch as the Dolphins look ahead to 2025.
Demarcus Robinson (WR) Los Angeles Rams – Robinson was listed in last week’s piece and came through with another 2-score game. We can’t rely on that kind of production again. However, Robinson owns the WR3 job. He also performed well in that role last season.
Mason Tipton (WR) New Orleans Saints – Tipton played 60 snaps on Sunday. That led the Saints’ receiving corps. With Chris Olave out, Tipton has a secure path to more playing time. Even though his ceiling is rather high, Tipton is worth adding in deeper leagues because he is all but guaranteed to be on the field in fantasy-friendly game scripts.
Cooper Rush (QB) Dallas Cowboys – With Dak Prescott out for multiple weeks, Rush will take over as the Cowboys’ starter. And in what is increasingly looking like a lost season, Rush could hold onto that role. He’s got some rushing ability and has looked decent as a thrower. Therefore, he’s one of the top quarterbacks to add in Week 10.
Desmond Ridder (QB) Las Vegas Raiders – The Raiders are a dumpster fire. Speaking of fire, Luke Getsy was dismissed after the club’s latest embarrassment and Ridder replaced Gardner Minshew. My best guess here is that Ridder will get the starting nod when the Raiders emerge from their Week 10 bye. Ridder isn’t anything special but he can run a bit and projects to be a slight upgrade. He’s worth a minimal bid if you’re in Superflex leagues. But keep the Week 10 bye in mind.
Chris Rodriguez (RB) Washington Commanders – Rodriguez shined as Washington’s No. 2 back on Sunday. However, his value is fleeting. Brian Robinson was close to suiting up. And when Robinson is active, Rodriguez won’t have much of a role. He may not even be active again. He’s more of a dynasty stash to throw a minimal bid on.
