College Production
A three-star recruit out of Chandler, Arizona, Ricky Pearsall set the Arizona Class 6A single-game receiving yardage record (342) in 2017 at Corona del Sol High School. Following graduation, Pearsall stayed home and enrolled at Arizona State. He saw action in all 13 games as a freshman reserve, collecting seven receptions for 128 yards. Made one start in the COVID-shortened 2020 season, turning nine touches into 119 scrimmage yards with two touchdowns. Pearsall became a full-time starter in 2021 and posted a 48/580/4 receiving line with 6/44/1 on the ground. In April 2022, Pearsall entered the transfer portal and enrolled at Florida the following month. In his first season with the Gators, Pearsall led the team with 661 receiving yards (20.0 YPR) in 13 games. Concluded his collegiate career with a career-high 65 catches and 965 yards in 12 starts during 2023. Impressive showing in the Senior Bowl boosted Pearsall’s draft stock.
Strengths
• Excellent route runner who gets into and out of breaks at full speed. Pearsall uses good technique and instinct to create space and find openings.
• Elite burst and agility.
• Versatile weapon that can line up on the slot, backfield, or perimeter, and is a dangerous weapon on jet sweeps
• Stands out in his ability to manipulate openings against zone coverage.
• Reliable sticky hands. 74.7% catch rate ranked seventh.

• Not afraid to go over the middle and challenge defenders.
• Plus yards-after-contact runner who also could be a threat as a returner.
• Possession receiver with a knack for coming up with clutch receptions to keep the chains moving.
Concerns
• Can struggle to get free off the line against press coverage.
• Lacks the frame (21st percentile weight and 18th percentile wing span) to effectively overpower stronger NFL defensive backs or linebackers in coverage.
• Below average burst off the line (46th percentile 10-yard split).
• Will be 24 years old when 2024
Fantasy Outlook
Pearsall checks all the boxes to develop into a reliable and productive slot option in today’s NFL. Ideally, he’ll land on a team that runs a lot of ’11’ personnel with an alpha X receiver who can command extra coverage. He would have been a terrific fit in those dominant New England offenses.
With an impressive showing in Indy, Pearsall may have helped his dynasty and NFL stock more than any other skill position player. His ADP is on the rise, like his NFL draft stock. Currently, both look like solid second-round targets.
Pearsall would be a good fit for many of the WR-needy squads on Day Two, like Atlanta, Detroit, Kansas City, Buffalo, or Carolina.
