August has finally arrived and that means it’s fantasy football draft time. One of the most important strategies for success is to target those fantasy football late-round WR sleepers.

Along with identifying 2022’s deep sleepers and fantasy football breakouts, loading up on late-round WR sleepers can make all the difference between drafting a contender and a championship-winning roster.

Using FFWC high-stakes ADP, here are the late-round WR sleepers to draft in 2022.

Skyy Moore (Kansas City Chiefs) ADP 91.2 (WR48) – The only concern for Moore coming out of Western Michigan was the level of competition. Moore was PFF’s No. 4-graded wideout in 2021 and led all receivers in missed tackles forced. So far, we’ve seen that transition over nicely into the pros. The second-round rookie has been turning heads and meshing well with QB Patrick Mahomes.

With Tyreek Hill now in Miami, the door is open for Moore to earn a substantial role right away in Kansas City. Indications are he may be doing just that. Moore’s inside/outside flexibility and run-after-catch ability make him an intriguing fantasy prospect in the 9th or 10th round.

Jalen Tolbert (Dallas Cowboys) ADP 108.3 (WR52) – Another Day Two rookie pass-catcher, Tolbert should have a clear path to a starting role right away in a Dallas offense that finished No. 1 in 2021. Michael Gallup has already stated he will not be ready when the season opens. Now, Tolbert’s main competition, James Washington, just fractured his foot and will miss 6-10 weeks.

QB Dak Prescott supported a pair of top-27 PPR wide receivers last season, CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper. Now that Cooper resides in Cleveland, the door is open for Tolbert to command 80-plus targets in Year One. That makes him very undervalued at his current draft position.

D.J. Chark (Detroit Lions) ADP 130.4 (WR62) – Chark missed most of last season with an ankle injury. The good news there is he was part of Jacksonville’s disastrous showing and is fully healthy now in Detroit. In his last two campaigns, Chark averaged 105.5 targets, 63 receptions, and 857 yards. He should get back closer to that range of outcomes as the clear No. 2 wideout for an ascending Detroit offense.

Chark also just happens to be one of the favorite late-round targets for reigning Most Accurate Draft Ranker Billy Muzio. “I would not be surprised to look up Week 5, and Chark is leading the Detroit WR corps in fantasy points,” said Muzio.

Nico Collins (Houston Texans) ADP 132.2 (WR64) During his rookie season, Collins didn’t play a ton of snaps but still ranked second on the club in targets (62) and yards (446.) He also ran a route on a very respectable 94.3% of his routes. The unfortunate leukemia diagnosis for John Metchie should guarantee an increase in playing time for Collins in his sophomore season. Collins profiles as a plus red-zone option and he’s got an outside shot at delivering top-50 fantasy numbers.

Robbie Anderson (Carolina Panthers) ADP 154.7 (WR73) – Anderson’s appalling ADP is on the rise but he’s still a solid value. As soon as the Panthers traded for QB Baker Mayfield, the state of the Panthers’ sagging passing attack improve significantly. A frustrated Anderson mulled retirement this spring but the arrival of a legitimate NFL-caliber passer should reinvigorate the deep threat. With Mayfield, Anderson should approach the numbers he hit during his solid 2017-2020 run.

Marvin Jones (Jacksonville Jaguars) ADP 162.2 (WR76) – Even in an abysmal situation last year in Jacksonville, Marvin Jones managed to post WR33 numbers. While the Jaguars spent big on Christian Kirk, it’s Jones who is a sneaky pick to lead the club in targets once again. Even if Kirk takes that spot, Jacksonville’s offense should be far better under Doug Pederson. Jones has averaged 6.87 targets per game since the 2015 season. That’s a pace of 117 looks in a 17-game slate. If he approaches those figures once again, he’s significantly outplayed his 14th-round ADP.

Parris Campbell (Indianapolis Colts) ADP 167.6 (WR77) – It seems like Campbell makes this list every year but just can’t stay healthy. He’s got all the tools to be a solid NFL wideout but has only played in 15 of a possible 49 games (30.6%). For now, Campbell is healthy and his chemistry with new QB Matt Ryan has been apparent. Campbell is penciled in as the Colts’ slot man and he could easily top 60 grabs in this offense. There’s always risk in taking a player with a checkered injury history, but in the 14th round, there’s more reward than risk with Campbell.

Isaiah McKenzie (Buffalo Bills) ADP175.5 (WR82) – Teammate Jamison Crowder was sidelined as Buffalo’s camp opened, which opened the door for McKenzie to take the slot reps. And the seventh-year pro may just steal that job. Crowder should be back soon, so we’ll monitor the reps for both. If McKenzie can hold off the free-agent addition, he’s an excellent late-round flier who was going undrafted in nearly every draft prior to August.

David Bell (Cleveland Browns) ADP 197.2 (WR89) – Despite a minor foot injury, third-round rookie WR David Bell is expected to win Cleveland’s slot job this summer. That role was occupied by Jarvis Landry, who averaged 13 fantasy points per game in four seasons with the Browns. Bell (6-2, 205) impressed during OTAs and projects to be a solid contributor in the pros. Bell’s stock is also on the rise if Deshaun Watson is able to take the majority of the team’s snaps.
