A four-star prospect and the top running back recruit in the state of Florida, White originally committed to Florida State and played both tailback and linebacker, recording 22 tackles in 2018. White spent 2019 at Iowa Western where he ran for 876 yards and 10 scores before enrolling at South Carolina in 2020. After playing sparingly as a junior, White eventually took over as the Gamecocks' best back. In 2021, he rushed for 583 yards and 5 TDs while also catching 18 passes for 196 more yards.
