Key Skaters
Nathan MacKinnon (COL)
- It’s hard not to look at MacKinnon again tonight in the same matchup that he dominated last night, except tonight’s is in Colorado.
- As mentioned yesterday, Chicago allows the most fantasy points per game to centers.
- Mack now has multiple points in six of his last 10 games.
Filip Forsberg (NSH)
- Florida comes into this game allowing the most fantasy points per game to left-wingers.
- Forsberg ($6,900) has 10 goals in 18 games (going into last night’s action) and is the clear-cut top scoring option on Nashville’s top line minus Viktor Arvidsson.
- The Panthers allow the most goals per 60 at 5v5. Look for the Preds leading goal scorer to get in on the act.
Anze Kopitar (LA)
- Much like MacKinnon, Kopitar is playing again tonight in another plus matchup and at home. He’ll face the Jets who allow the third-most fantasy points per game to centers, including 12 shots on goal per game, second-most to the position.
- In 23 career games against the Jets, Kopi has nine goals and 24 points. In 14 home games, this season the Kings captain has seven goals and 17 points.
Favorite Line Stacks
*Note: Lines are subject to change depending on morning skate lines. Revert to the chat and/or look for updates here for any impact they may have.
Calgary Flames
First Line: Gaudreau – Monahan – Lindholm
- Much has been made of the circus around the Flames and their now former head coach. Now, with him gone, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Flames respond in a big way against a poor Ottawa team.
- The Senators allow the fourth-most shots against per 60, the fifth-most scoring chances against per 60, the fourth-most high-danger scoring chances per 60, and the ninth-most goals against per 60 at 5v5 on the road.
- Monny, Johnny, and Lindholm are too good together to be down for this long and are due for a big game at suppressed salaries.
Edmonton Oilers
First Line: Draisaitl – McDavid – Kassian
- They’ve been the most productive line in hockey this season at even strength with 25 goals as a unit, which isn’t hard to believe with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl (48 points in 27 games) anchoring the line.
- Kassian simply allows for some salary relief while acquiring some potential correlation as he has 18 points in 27 games in his own right.
- McDavid has points in each of his last eight regular-season games against Vancouver while Draisaitl has recorded a points in five of his last six regular-season contests against the Canucks.
New York Islanders
First Line: Lee – Barzal – Eberle
- This could be a line to consider as a value trio with Lee ($4,600), Barzal ($5,900), and Eberle ($4,200) all severely under-priced.
- Columbus surrenders the sixth-most shots against per 60 on the road at 5v5 and are playing their second game in as many nights.
- The Isles have won four of their last five games against Columbus.
Los Angeles Kings
First Line: Iafallo – Kopitar – Brown
- The Jets allow the third-most shots per 60 at 5v5. The Kings generate the third-most shots per 60 at 5v5.
- On the road, Winnipeg averages the fifth-most expected goals per 60 and the 10th-most scoring chances per 60 at 5v5.
- Iafallo, Kopitar, and Brown all skate on the power-play and will look to capitalize against one of the worst penalty kills in the league.
Others to Consider:
Tampa Bay Lightning First Line: Palat – Point – Kucherov
Chicago Blackhawks Second Line: Debrincat – Dach – Kane
