Thoughts on the slate:
Running backs at the top of the salary tree will be key here as that’s where I see most of the steady production coming from. Once those running backs are locked in, there is value to attack at both the quarterback and receiver position. The contrarian play, in my eyes, is paying up at wide receiver with guys like Tylan Wallace and Laviska Shenault and paying down at running back with guys like Fontenot and Horvath, among others above.
Favorite game to stack:
Oklahoma St. vs. Oregon State: This game looks like it will go to the moon. I’m not necessarily in love with what’s going on at quarterback for Oklahoma St. considering that Mike Gundy may go with a QB by committee route early on. This game, as a whole though, should bring a lot of points with it, primarily at the running back position.
Games to fade:
- Tulsa vs Michigan State – Game just feels slow and boring overall. No reason to go here.
- UMass vs. Rutgers – Nothing jumps out to me here and this is simply crossed off for me by process of elimination.
